One of my favorite moments at the start of every festival is walking into the music on the first day. At Peach every year my friends and I walk into the venue from the campgrounds and enjoy the pool for a little bit before going back to our campsite to change. We'll walk around and see all the vendors before heading to the Main Stage for music. The first day at peach it is always just the Main stage that is rocking so it gives people time to not go crazy trying to figure out which stage to go to or what set to see and since alot of people are still setting up camp and arriving its just easier to have one stage going the first day. But throughout the weekend there's always a chance for side quests! I plan to have characters off on their own side quests away from the main group that has formed. I'm interested to see how this all goes down I have so many ideas swimming through my head. Anyway that was long! Enjoy chapter 8!

Chapter 8:

Walking through the campsites the group made their way with drinks in their hands to the gate where there was a line to go through security.

"Well they seriously bumped up security since I came here last haven't they?" InuYasha observed.

"Yeah they defintely did. And with that shooting that happened at a music festival in the PNW it's not suprising," Miroku sanswered. "It's annoying but hey if it keeps us safe I'm all for it. Although some of security take their job WAY too seriously so lets just chug our drinks before we get on line and throw them in the bin over there." He motioned to the trash can at the end of the line for the campground entrance.

All seven of them chugged their drinks and made their way to through security with no problems since all they had on them were towels and the girls had clear bags to put their phones and wallets in.

"We made it! Happy Peach everyone!" Kagome squealed. "Let's get wet!"

"Kagome you really want to get wet don't you. I know someone who can help with that." Miroku teased.

"That is not what she meant and you know it my love."

"You sure about that Sango?"

"Positive." Sango walked over to the side of the wave pool and found a spot for the group to put their stuff down.

As soon as Kagome put down her towel, bag and took off her shorts, someone grabbed her a threw her over their shoulder.'

"InuYasha! Put me down!"

'Hell no Kagome! You said you wanted to get wet so lets get wet!" InuYasha laughed as he walked into the wave pool with Kagome over his shoulder.

Walking chest deep into the wave pool InuYasha lightly tossed Kagome down into the water. Kagome came to the surface and immediately splashed him in the face. Laughing the both of them started splashing each other while their friends looked on.

"Well that's one way to get a girl wet." Miroku laughed.

"Miroku you really are a pervert."

"Such cruel words Shippo. You've wounded me."

"All joking aside they seem to be having a good time. So is this what you mean by letting it come out organically?"

"What are you to talking about?" Sango asked as she took off her romper.

"Well you see Miroku here has the great idea to let those two have alone time from time to time this weekend so they can organically come together or something like that."

"Miroku you shouldn't meddle."

"My dear Sango always the voice of reason. I told you back at camp what Inuyasha said to me. I'm just giving the a little nudge."

"I see that, plain as day. I just don't want either of them to get hurt if it doesnt work out."

"On the contrary I think it just might from waht you told me about your conversation with Kagome earlier this morning."

"You know how stubborn those two can be. Only once have they ever acted on the attraction they have had for each other. You and I are not blind. You saw how Kagome was after that one night stand finding out two weeks later that he got back with Kikyo. I think that's part of the reason why she got back with Koga."

"I know Sango but I think this time may be different. All of us are far more mature than we were at 24. We have lives and careers. You're about to buy a dojo."

"Don't say anything yet about that." Sango said as she watched Shippo, Shiori and Soten run to join InuYasha and Kagome.

"I won't but when do you want to tell them about your big career move."

"I'm not sure yet my love but I'll know when the best time is when it comes to me."

"I'm sure you will. As for now lets enjoy the pool a little bit before we head back to camp to get ready for tonight." Miroku kissed the top of her head. Picking her up and throwing her over his shoulder like InuYasha did to Kagome and bringing her into the wave pool to join their friends.

All of them were splashing around having a good time splashing each other and throwing themselves into the waves before the music began. Little did the group know that there was someone watching them from the VIP bar with cold eyes staring down at them. The person finished their drink , got up and walked away down towards the vendors and the main stage. After about 30 minutes of hanging out in the wave pool they all got out and dried off.

"I think I wanna check out some of the vendors up here at the water park." Kagome stated.

"Oh yeah? I would love to go with you." Sango smiled at her best friend. "Do you boys want to come with us?"

"Nah we're good we'll go back to camp with these three and maybe we'll make some grilled cheeses since Shippo said he has supplies for that. So just text us when you are on your way back and We'll make you some." Miroku kissed Sango on the cheek. "But don't be gone too long sweet Sango."

"We won't!" Sango gave Miroku a long deep kiss.

"Get a fucking room!"

"InuYasha shut up. Let them enjoy each other." Kagome giggled.

"Alright lets go!" Sango said finally breaking the kiss.

The girls set out towards the vendors and the others went back to the campsite. They found a vendor that had some clothes and tapestries. Kagome picked out a pair of black and white harem pants and a tiedye wrap top that she just had to buy. Sango found herself a pair of tiedye overalls and both of them decided on buying a new tapestry for their apartment.

"I can't wait until we get to the main stage. I hope that the merch tent has towels and blankets this year."

"You and your blankets Kagome. I swear you have so many,"

"I don't hear you complaining when we have bonefires."

"Valid points. I retract my previous statement." Sango laughed.

"Anyway if we are done here I think we should head back to the campsite and get ready for tonight. I'll braid your hair if you want me to."

"That would be amazing. Are you going to offer hair braiding services this year?"

"Yeah I am! 20 for braids. Flat rate." Kagome winked. "But I'll do yours for free every night."

"Sounds like a great deal to me. You should post on the facebook group that you're offering braiding services again."

"I already did. Last year I made some good money doing it."

"I know. You spent it on merch and drugs."

"And was that a bad thing?"

"Nope." Sango giggled. "Let me text Miroku and let him know that we are on our way back."

The girls made their way back to the campsite. True to his word Miroku and Shippo had grilled cheeses ready.

"Fair warning ladies, we made shroom grilled cheeses."

"Oh nice. I guess I'll be choking that down but hey dont treaten me with a good time." Sango laughed.

Everyone knew how disgusting mushrooms were but to hide them inside of a grilled cheese was better than just eating them with nothing. It made the grilled cheeses harder to eat but none the less the grilled cheeses were all gone. After they all ate everyone went back into their tents to get changed for the night. One by one they came out of their tents dressed for the night. InuYasha came out of his tent with shorts and a Twiddle zip up hoodie on. Being half demon he didn't get cold as easliy. Shippo was wearing a Grateful Dead Bertha tee and some shorts and Miroku had on a My Morning Jacket Tee and had an Assholes Live Forever sweatshirt in his hand. The girls always took a little bit longer to get ready since they would put on some makeup and glitter. Shiori came out of her tent first wearing Tiedye biker shorts and a tiedye sports bra with a black Umphrey's McGee sweatshirt tied around her waist. Soten came out in black leggings and a bleach tie dye wrap top. They brought their make up out to the campsite so they could do their make up in natural light.

"My dear Sango don't you look sexy tonight." Miroku said as Sango came out of their tent.

Sango had on pink harem pants and a black backless halter crop top. She was brushing her hair to get ready for Kagome to braid her hair for the evening. In her hand she had a pair of bear ear Kritter Klips.

"Thank you Miroku. I'm gonna put on my makeup really quick and Kagome is going to do my hair." Sango turned as she heard Kagome's tent unzip.

"Sorry that took so long I couldn't figure out what I wanted to wear tonight." Kagome came out of her tent. She had her hair in braids with Kritter Klips in her hair. She was wearing the black harem pants she just bought and a rainbow slit weave crop top. she haid a tail that matched her ears attached to her harem pants. She smiled at InuYasha who was looking dumbfounded. "What? is my hair fucked up?"

"N-n-no. You look nice Kagome." InuYasha tried to find words to speak. He was mesmerized by her cute festival outfit and that brought him back to their rave days when she used to dress in skimpy rave clothes always haveing ears and a tail. "Just brings me back to when you used to dress up at the raves we went to in college."

"I wore so much less clothes then. Spoiler alert wearing those clothes for long periods of time was uncomfrtable." Kagome giggled. "This is so much more comfortable." She walked over to Sango who was sitting in one of the camping chairs and started to dutch braid her hair. "Sango I was thinking i would braid your hair down to the base of your hair and then tie it off and do butterfly braids the rest of the way down if thats okay?"

"That sounds amazing actually let's do it."

"Awesome!" Kagome started braiding.

"Who's headlining tonight?" Shippo asked.

"Pigeons Playing Ping Pong is headling and they are playing two sets." Shiori responded looking at the app on her phone. "The band playing before them is Twiddle."

"Who is playing at 5?" InuYasha asked looking over her shoulder.

"Midnight North and then Keller Williams" Shiori responded.

"I don't know about you guys but I don't mind missing a little bit of the first set." Soten interjected.

"I don't mind just as long as we see a little bit of their set. I know we all have VIP seats but I want to hoop for a little bit if that's alright with you guys." Kagome smiled while finishing Sango's hair. "All done!"

Sango looked in the mirror she had been using for her makeup and admired her hair. "Kagome it's perfect thank you so much!"

"Soten, Shiori do you want me to do your hair too?"

"No I'm good for tonight but you can do it tomorrow before the first sets of the day tomorrow." Shiori said.

"I'm just gonna do space buns for tonight. But I'm down for tomorrow night for sure. Let's get some makeup on you and go down to the main stage."

The girls finished their make up as the guys packed up the two tapestries for them to sit on the lawn for a little bit. During the headline they would all go to their VIP seats and enjoy the headlining act from there. They all decided to take one more shot before heading down to the Main stage to enjoy the music. Walking down to the main stage there was much anticipation to get lost in the music and they were all starting to feel the mushrooms ever so slightly. InuYasha and Kagome were walking behind the rest of the group while the others were laughing and chatting on their way through the water pack past the vendors and down to the hill to the mainstage.

"Not gonna lie I wish they had a ramen vendor for food."

"I know what you mean Yash. But sadly they do not." Kagome smiled as they made their way past all the food vendors. "You know its so much easier to walk down to the main stage then walking back up at night."

"Well if you don't want to walk I can always give you a ride on my back." InuYasha smiled.

"I don't want to impose."

"I don't mind. I'll bring you all the way back to camp." He teased. "Don't worry I won't pressure you little Miko." He turned to her a kissed her cheek.

"Yash. People are looking." Kagome pointed to Miroku and Shippo who had turned around to make sure that they were keeping pace while Sango was talking with Soten and Shiori.

"I don't care. Let them look. We're at a festival let's enjoy ourselves."

"O-okay." Kagome blushed. "Hey can I get a ride down the the Main Stage?" Kagome asked.

"Of course." InuYasha crouched down to let Kagome hop on his back. She gave him a quick kiss on the cheek and they walked down to the lawn at the main stage.
