They scrambled out of the small hole in the tree. "This is your fault!" Artie cried.

"Hold the phone, my fault?" Shrek asked. "Why?"

"Well, you did start yelling, while all I was trying to do was come up with a plan!" Artie replied.

"A plan?" Shrek asked. "That wasn't a plan! You were going to get caught by those monkeys!"

"No I wasn't!" Artie cried. "I know how to defend myself!"

"You don't have any arrows, or a bow, and oh yeah, no sword!" Shrek said, counting off on his fingers.

"I can use a stick!" Artie yelled.

"A stick isn't going to help you!" Shrek yelled.

"Guys, guys! Please!" Donkey cried, jumping between the both of them. "We're supposed to be getting Excalibur! We can't get it if you two are fighting!" Shrek and Artie both stared at each other, furious, until Artie exhaled deeply. "Yeah, you're right, Donkey," he said, still irritated.

"See?" Donkey asked. "Isn't that better?" Shrek, Donkey, and Puss all stared at him. Donkey's ears went down. "So, Puss," Donkey said, changing the subject, "Where to now?"

"Now?" Puss asked. "Uh..." Puss pulled the map out of his left boot and unrolled it. He turned it around a few times until he was satisfied at where he held it, then scanned it. "Uh, now we're..." He stared at the map a few times, twisting it left and right. "I actually don't know. Pixie Hollow isn't located on this map, and I don't think the Enchanted Forest will be up here either."

"Give me that!" Shrek said, snatching the map from Puss. Shrek stared at it. Artie turned it around for him. Shrek glanced at him, but continued to scan the map anyway.

"Ah, here," Shrek said, pointing at a large patch of dark brown on the map. "It says 'Enchanted Forest.'"

"That means you were just holding it upside down," Donkey said to Puss.

"Shut up," Puss said, crossing his arms. "Which means the Dragon's Cave is somewhere around here," Shrek said, poking a small dark brown patch, which looks like a rock, on the map. Pixie Hollow should be-"

"Right around here," Artie said, circling a small section of the map a few inches away from the Dragon's Cave.

"So if we just keep following this path straight, then we should get to Excalibur," Shrek said, pointing at the path.

"Great!" Donkey said. "Let's get going then!"

"Okay, bug, which way to Excalibur?" Charming asked.

"I'm not telling you!" Jiminy said. Charming frowned, then shook the bug cage. "You'll tell me or I'll squash you!"

"Okay, okay! I'll tell you!" Jiminy cried. "Just, please, don't squish me!"

"Good, now we have some team work," Charming said. "Now, which direction to the sword?"

Jiminy turned in a small circle, scanning the scene. His antennae twitched when he faced the foggiest section of the woods. "That way," he said. Charming looked at the woods. "Are you sure? You're not just tricking me, are you?"

"No I'm not! I promise," Jiminy said, raising his hand and putting up two fingers.

"I hope so," Charming said. "This suit is too perfect to ruin."

Charming entered the woods, warily. "Sir!" one of the flying monkeys called, flying into view. Two others, the ones guarding the dungeon, floated into view. "Sir, we...we lost Shrek," the first one said, panting.

"You lost Shrek?" Charming yelled.

"Y-yes, sir," the first one answered. "We searched for him but we couldn't find him."

"Fine then, how about the boy?" Charming asked, sternly.

"We...we lost him too," the second one replied.

"You lost him too?" Charming yelled.

"Sorry, sir!" the largest one said, saluting. "We can search again, more thoroughly, if you wish, sir!"

Charming rubbed the bridge of his nose. "What I want is for the boy and Shrek to be found, alive, and kept imprisoned until I can show them Far Far Away under my control!"

"Y-yes, sir!" the largest one said.

"And I don't want you to tell me you can't find them!" Charming finished. "Go! Go find them!"

"Yessir!" the second one said.

"Right away, sir!" the first one said.

"On it, sir!" the largest one said. The monkey crashed into each other, then flew away.

"You'll never find them," Jiminy said. "Not in here."

"So you are taking me the wrong way?" Charming checked.

"N-no! This is the right way!" Jiminy said, waving his arms quickly. "It's just that...at midnight, this fog gets worse, and nearly impossible to see through! Since they'll be heading the same way, it'll be nearly impossible to find them!" Charming raised an eyebrow. "Plus, he has the ogre," Jiminy said. "And ogres know how to protect themselves."

Charming didn't answer. Instead, he continued going in the direction Jiminy pointed him to.

Shrek, Artie, Puss and Donkey stopped before the fog. "This is where we need to go?" Artie asked.

"Well, it is the next spot on the map," Puss said.

"This can't be right," Shrek said. "There was no fog there before."

Before anyone could react, thunder struck. "I think it'd be best if we find somewhere to rest for the night," Puss said.

"Agreed," Donkey said. "I don't like getting caught in the rain."
