Chapter Fifteen
New Experiment
Meanwhile, Arashi and Boss Kodama arrived back in New York and back to the Foot Headquarters.
They wasted no time in meeting Dr Arden who was waiting in his main lab along with his scientists and the other Venomous Five.
Arashi lead the way into the lab and Dr Arden smirked as he greeted his Master.
"My Lord Arashi." He said bowing.
"Doctor." Arashi replied, bowing back to his head scientist.
Dr Arden then saw Boss Kodama and held out his hand which had his contraptions for his syringes attached.
Boss Kodama saw the contraptions, but he held out his hand and shook the doctor's hand.
"Dr Wiliam Arden." He said, "Lord Arashi has spoken highly of you."
Dr Arden looked pleased.
"Thank you, as has my Lord has spoken highly of you, and how you and Hanako..." he paused as he mentioned Hanako's name and Boss Kodama and Arashi looked saddened.
"Yes." Boss Kodama said "She was a good partner and warrior, she fought to the end..."
He and Arashi stood to the side as a couple of ninjas stepped forward with a stretcher covered with a white cloth.
Dr Arden walked over and pulled back the sheet to reveal Hanako's face and he almost recoiled at the state of her, yet he kept his composure and narrowed his eyes.
"I can see what I can do with her." He said, "Walk this way." He gestured with his head for everyone to follow him and they walked over to a medical bed where there were many items of machinery and equipment laying on nearby tables.
Arashi observed it, as did Boss Kodama.
"My Good doctor." He said, "What have you uncovered?"
"Many things my Lord." Dr Arden replied, "from our old friends Overlord and Baxter Stockman! And with your permission, I plan to see what I can do to Hanako to bring her back to us."
Arashi turned to the ninjas carrying Hanako's body and nodded and the ninjas wasted no time in walking over and placing the body on the table.
It was then Arashi, Boss Kodama and Dr Arden were able to look at the body of Hanako in detail, and it was not a pretty sight.
Hanako was covered with burns and both her legs had been ripped off, her left at the knee, the right between her ankle and knee and her left arm was missing from the elbow, whilst the other was nothing but bones with the skin and muscle torn away.
Her torso was covered in third- and fourth-degree burns, and her hips and pelvis were intact, yet some bone could be seen from where the grenade had blasted the flesh away.
The Venomous Five stood a couple of feet away and watched.
"Eww!" Cobra hissed as she looked at Hanako's corpse "I thought I had seen everything, but this takes the cake!"
"I'll say!" Nile Monitor agreed.
"If that grenade did that to Hanako." Komodo Dragon mused "Only the powers that be know what happened to that filthy hybrid!"
"I hope she was blasted to a million pieces!" Black Mamba snarled "That little bitch!"
"Shame she's pushing up daisies!" Cobra drawled "I wanted to go at least another few rounds with her!"
"It will be fun to rub the salt into the wounds of the Hamato Clan!" Gila Monster growled "Making them feel the pain of losing their precious little spawn!"
"Whenever they show their faces again!" Komodo Dragon snarled then he looked back at his masters and Boss Kodama as they gathered around Hanako's body.
"Leave it to me Lord Arashi." Dr Arden said, "I will start work right away, and I will inform you once I have completed my experiment."
"Granted William." Arashi said then turned to Boss Kodama "Come my friend, let us leave the Good Doctor to work."
"Very well Lord Arashi." Boss Kodama said then bowed to Dr Arden before following Arashi away from the medical table.
Arashi smirked at Dr Arden and nodded to him to which the head scientist nodded back and looked down at Hanako.
"Now my dear...let us begin..."
He then turned to the Venomous Five hovering nearby.
"You're dismissed." He spoke.
Komodo Dragon nodded at Dr Arden then turned to the others.
"Let us leave." He said walking away from the area, Gila Monster, Nile Monitor and Black Mamba following behind, yet Cobra lingered for a while to see Hanako's body until Black Mamba grabbed her by the hood.
"Come on dummy!" she hissed to which Cobra snarled back drooling.
"Spoilsport!"
Meanwhile Arashi and Kodama walked over to another part of the lab where there was a glass coffin being looked over by several scientists and Medical Ninjas.
Arashi stepped over and the scientists and medical ninja bowed in respect before they stepped away from the coffin.
The two men the stared down at the subject within the coffin and saw the Alien Chrell laying there, still unconscious and wired up after Tyroth's attack on him.
"Still no movement." Arashi said "And we still have no idea when he will awaken."
Boss Kodama stared down at the Alien, taking in his features.
"For many years," Kodama spoke "I only heard stories, about how the Shredder, Oruko Saki was an alien in an exo suit, and now I see him for real with my own eyes."
Arashi nodded.
"Yes indeed." He said, "He has been around for centuries, since his race crash landed on this planet due to his doing."
"I also heard stories of the Utroms." Boss Kodama spoke.
"All those stories are true." Arashi said "And I learnt their history, how they remained on Earth and waited for the modern technology that would finally take them home, along with our Master, a dangerous criminal, yet Dr Arden located him, and we brought him home." He smirked.
He stroked the glass as he investigated the coffin and at Chrell.
"I spent years under his rule as one of his ninjas, I never questioned him, never disobeyed, never faltered, I knew it would be a matter of time until I worked my way into his good books and his favour, and I would soon reach the level to become a trusted advisor and confidant!"
Boss Kodama listened as he watched Arashi walk around the coffin and look down at Shredder.
"I did all I could to reach the top, and before long my hard work paid off, and I was promoted to his second in command, and I gave him every reason to trust me, leading the ninja to their goals, punishing those who did not follow, then when he was captured and banished and his traitor of a daughter left the Foot, I found myself on the throne and I vowed to never take it for granted."
Arashi then turned solemn.
"Yet I suppose I did, getting too cocky, and then Shredder returned, and I had to step down, yet I never lost my privileges and was rewarded greatly." He smirked again "I remained in Shredder's favour and was able to enjoy the new freedoms I had since I was free from the responsibilities of leadership, thus let me enjoy having lovers..." he looked over at where Hanako lay with Dr Arden.
He sighed again then looked at Chrell.
"But now I am leader again, and if or when our Master returns to us, I shall lead."
He looked back at Boss Kodama.
"Come, we'll find you some living quarters then await Dr Arden's verdict on Hanako."
"Thank you, Lord Arashi." Boss Kodama said and followed the Foot's Leader out of the Lab.
As they left Arashi looked over at the coffin that held Chrell.
"I will continue to run the Foot Oruku Saki." He said, "And I will run it well, like you saw I did last time you were not here."
He licked his lips.
"And if you should never awaken, I am sure you are grateful you choose me as your heir." He added under his breath as he left the lab.
Meanwhile Dr Arden looked over Hanako as he analysed where to place the cybernetic parts to put her together like a jigsaw puzzle.
"My poor dear Hanako." He said, "such a brave and fearless warrior, as well as a good lover to Master Arashi, now Lord Arashi." He said tracing a finger over Hanako's forehead, or at least what was left of it.
"Well after what I have planned for you, you'll be stronger than you'll ever know, and take revenge upon your enemies!"
He looked at his colleagues.
"Lets us begin the procedures!" he snarled to which they nodded and started their work.
Dr Arden looked down at Hanako's body.
"When we are done... we can only hope for the best..." he chuckled "Ands may our masters be proud, and our enemies weaken when they see what we have to show them!"
Arashi and Boss Kodama have returned to New York and to the Foot Headquarters and Dr Arden has begun work on Hanako's body using materials from Overlord and Baxter Stockman.
