"So."

Quinn looked over at Charlie who was eating a strip of bacon jerky while staring at her. "So?" Quinn prompts looking at Charlie.

Charlie takes another bite of bacon jerky, Quinn hadn't come back to Lima with her and Santana. "I don't need details Quinn—but you and Marley are still together, right?"

Quinn blinked, "Yes? Why wouldn't we be together?" she asks Charlie, who tilts her head and pulls out her phone, and begins to text. "Charlie, why wouldn't we be together?"

"Well, Frannie bet a thousand dollars that you would suck so bad that Marley would have to break up with you. Brittany put up her allowance for the week that you two would still be together, but you probably would come crying to one of us about how badly you did. I'm the only one who believed in you," Charlie said with a pleased grin. "You get a quarter of my winnings."

"You bet on me!"

"Yes, I did. We're twins, and I am a fantastic lover," Charlie reminds Quinn, as she hums. "I had faith that just by virtue of being my identical twin, you shared some of my skill and once you stopped overthinking things, you'd be fine. Was I wrong?" Charlie asked, looking up at Quinn.

Quinn scowled as she arrived at McKinley, "I get half," she grumbles after a moment. "How much did you bet?"

"I promised Frannie free babysitting for a month, and I promised Brittany that I'd do her physics homework.. I'm broke—well I was, I spent the rest of my allowance last week on Santana. She wanted to do everything when we were in LA, and somehow I got tricked into paying for her."

"You got tricked?" Quinn repeats, shooting her twin an inquisitive look.

"Apparently inviting her to all my favorite places in LA meant that I had to pay!" Charlie shoves more bacon in her mouth, as she huffs. "Who made up that rule?"

"It's basic manners Charlie, and you really should always pay for your dates. I've seen you eat," Quinn scoffs as she finds a parking space.

"You know I don't date," Charlie scoffs. "Santana is just a friend, I mean I think she is. We're not even having sex—" Charlie pauses for a moment. "Holy shit, I'm the only one not having sex! I've become you!"

Quinn rolled her eyes, "Ignoring you now," she informs her twin as she grabs her bag.

"How did you live like this Quinn?" Charlie asks, horrified at the fact that she was probably the only one of her sisters currently sexless.

True to her word, Quinn merely walks away as her twin bitches about her non-existent sex life. She spots Rachel on her way in to school and slides up beside her, "You may want to avoid Charlie for a bit, she's upset that she's not having any sex. She'll probably proposition you at some point in time today. Just say no."

Rachel turned to sneak a look at Charlie, "Charlie and I aren't meant to be Quinn, she broke up with me because I was a vegan," Rachel smiled when Quinn snorted. "How did your date with Marley go?"

Quinn flicked her eyes towards Rachel for a moment, unsure of how to answer that question. Her day with Marley had turned into a weekend affair, and it had been magical. "It was fun," she finally decides. "Did you train with your mother?" Quinn asks immediately, changing the subject.

"That was the plan, but your aunt was there, and after what she did to Santana—" Rachel swallowed, and looked up at Quinn, who looked confused. "You didn't know that your aunt was dating my mother? It seems like they've got a lot of history."

"I mean Charlie mentioned it when she explained the situation—it's just that my aunt's relationships generally last like two weeks. A month if whoever she is with is good in bed." Quinn admits. "This might be her longest relationship in a while and that is pretty confusing."

"She's training Vocal Adrenaline. I think this is Shelby's attempt to level the playing field," Rachel frowned.

Quinn frowned at Rachel's response, the only reason Cassandra still had a job, was because she was a level five former hero. By all accounts the first time that Cassandra had been caught sleeping with one of her students, she should have been fired, but they hadn't even fired her after she had nearly beaten a student to death to prove a point. Cassandra hated teenagers, she hated children too, but for a while Charlie had been her aunt's favorite kid in the world, till Charlie had come to the realization that Cassandra was a sadistic psychopath. "She must really like Shelby," Quinn mused.

"Do you think—that they'll get married?" Rachel shuddered at the thought.

Quinn snorted, "No," Cassandra would fuck up, whether it was her drinking or it would be cheating. "My aunt doesn't do commitment."

Rachel let out a breath she had no idea she'd been holding. "Well that's good news—"

"Berry. Fabray, where's—" Beiste looked past Quinn and Rachel to spot Charlie talking to one of Sue Sylvester's Cheerios. Beiste inhales, "Fabray." She barks out, marching over to the captain of the Titans.

Quinn turns just in time to see Charlie get dragged into Figgins office, "What was that about?"

"This is Charlie's first day since—you know," Rachel reminded Quinn. "According to JBI, Lauren's parents withdrew her from McKinley last week."

Quinn watched for a second longer, before shrugging her shoulders. Charlie would be fine, she hadn't started the fight, and Figgins needed Charlie on the Titans.

"I think I need to have the talk with Quinn again." Judy sighed, mostly talking to herself as she pulled into a parking space, at Costco. It was time for her weekly shopping run—well the Costco portion of it. It seemed like a never ending nightmare to keep Charlie fed.

Artemis looked over at her eldest daughter and hummed in response.

Judy sighed, she hated when her mother judged her parenting. She never directly criticized her, but there were times when she did undermine her in front of the children. Especially with Charlie, "I know that she's a teenager, and that exploring their sexuality is what teenagers do—and really in the grand scheme of things Quinn is a late bloomer compared to the rest of my girls, but she's a teenager and being vulnerable with someone else is a big deal," Judy points out, attempting to justify the talk she planned on having with Quinn.

"Quinn isn't Frannie or Brittany. Her sexuality means that you don't have to fret over a teenage pregnancy, like you did with both of them. If you must talk with Quinn, perhaps you should check in with her feelings on the divorce. She still isn't talking to Russell. That's a far more pressing matter than Quinn being sexually active with her girlfriend."

"I can't force Quinn to forgive him," Judy frowned. "Quinn was always daddy's little girl, I think she's far more heartbroken than I am, and Russell needs to be the one to repair that relationship. I can't do that, Quinn's nearly an adult and I can't force her to spend time with him—I thought you and dad didn't like Russell."

"We don't," Artemis responds simply. "He hurt you, of course we don't like him. But you chose to have children with him and despite his many faults—he does love his children, even if he doesn't quite know how to show it."

"I should probably check in with her before the divorce is finalized," Judy agreed. "And Charlie as well, I should have checked in after what happened with Lauren, unless you want to handle that one."

"Strength invites challenge," Artemis reminded Judy.

Judy rolled her eyes, she'd been hearing that her entire life. It never meant anything to her, she wasn't a fighter, and she still had no idea what her abilities were. "Charlie used excessive force, the only reason I'm not more upset is because she had a concussion, and I'm sure she wasn't in her right mind. I am concerned that she's not apologetic—I know she wants to be a hero and I know how much she loves fighting but Lauren was a teammate. Not all problems are solved with violence. I don't want Charlie to become Cass—" Judy pauses when there is a firm knock on her window causing her to turn towards the sound. Seeing a young woman, Judy immediately rolls down her window.

"Judy Fabray?"

Judy blinked, "Yes. But how do you know my—"

The young woman pulls out a thick envelope, from a shopping bag, and flashes Judy a rather pitiful smile, "You've just been served." With that she hands the envelope to Judy who looked rather shocked, and walks away.

"I'm being sued?" Judy frowned, wracking her brain to think of what she had done lately. She was already getting divorced and while Russell had made a lame attempt at custody, he had given that up when it was made clear that the twins were capable of choosing who they wanted to live with. Her divorce was almost finalized and Russel and her were in a relatively good place.

Immediately Judy opens the letter and reads over the first few lines, ignoring her mother who had leaned in to get a better look. The curious look on her face fades as she finishes scanning the page. "Russell and I are being sued by Lauren's parents," Judy informs her mother, there was disbelief in her voice as she looked up, still in shock. She would definitely need to give Russell the heads up. "She attacked my daughter, and I'm the one being sued, because Charlie defended herself?" She had been thinking of making Charlie apologize, but with this lawsuit she certainly wasn't going to make Charlie do something of that nature. "I need to talk to Russell, so we can hire some lawyers and get this dealt with." Judy scowled, how dare they try and blame this on Charlie.

Santana closed her locker, and jumped back when she saw Rachel standing there. "Fuck Hobbit, do I need to put a bell on you or something? What do you want?"

"Did PVA agree to do a joint practice with us? How did it go?" Rachel questioned.

Santana shrugged, "It went as well as expected—"

"Charlie caused an incident? Did she flirt with someone only to get distracted by another woman, walking by? She does that quite frequently whenever you walk by her," Rachel asked. She knew she should have insisted on going with them, she was certain that Charlie needed supervision.

"No, Charlie didn't cause an incident, I mean there was a serious back and forth between her and Dani, but Charlie didn't cause an incident. A bunch of rich kids who go to a rich school, decided that we weren't worth their time. So, I pointed out that we had beaten Charlie a total of three times, and we were worth their time since no one in that school had ever beaten Charlie once. Then we walked out, Charlie thinks that Dani will begrudgingly make it happen, but I'm not going to hold my breath."

Rachel made a face, it sounded like they weren't successful. "Well we need to do something, Beiste is going to have us doing practice with schools that didn't make the cut, with Lauren gone—"

"Hold up, Lauren's gone?" Santana frowned, it was news to her.

"JBI confirmed it. Lauren's parents are furious about what happened to her and pulled her out of McKinley. Most of our formations will need to be redone completely, and we need to figure out what to do with Blaine. It seems like we don't have much of a choice, and we're just going to have to trust him. Blaine is currently on the team, and on Wednesday, Figgins promised he would give me an update on our support team. We're running out of time before sectionals."

"Well, without Lauren's negativity weighing the team down we might be able to focus on getting the rest of the team ready. Where is Charlie anyway? It's going to take some convincing to get her to give up her lunch to continue training us."

"Beiste dragged her into Figgins office this morning. Figgins looked furious, I think she might actually be in trouble."

"For what?" Santana frowned, Beiste had been there, she had seen out of it Charlie was.

"Probably because Lauren's parents are suing the school and our parents. Figgins is probably losing his mind right now," Quinn said as she leaned against the locker, looking at her phone. She groans when a new text message comes in from her mom. "I need to get Charlie out of that room, before she says something that will come back and bite her in the ass."

"I want assurances Shelby that at the end of this Blaine will have a spot on the team next year, and I'll have a job. McKinley wants me to work for free, I'm worth more than that."

"If you have proof that you say you do, then there is a job waiting for you and a spot on the team for Blaine," Shelby said crossing her arms.

"Good, Beiste has no idea what she's doing. She's completely depending on Charlie to carry McKinley to victory. It won't be long till the entire team implodes Shelby, if you make a move now you might be able to pick up McKinley's powerhouse. She's a free agent if rumors are to be true."

Shelby paused, McKinley had the minimum number of members allowed on a team, losing Lauren would be a blow, but if they lost Blaine as well they wouldn't be able to compete. It was certainly poor sportsmanship, but if it stopped them from competing, then Vocal Adrenaline could capture a national title, and most of her problems would be solved. "Principal Gunderson has already approved the budget for your hiring, you'll see it matches your old salary at Dalton, and there is a spot on the team for Blaine if that's what he wants. How many people have you shown the footage too."

"No one—"

"Good," Shelby said, pushing the contract that had been drafted for this moment. "Let's keep it that way for now, we'll release it towards sectionals, that should throw McKinley off their game. It'll feed the press, and we can use that."

Cooper Anderson grinned, it was a good plan. Charlie despite all her abilities was still nothing more than a teenaged girl. Many heroes had cracked under the scrutiny of the press, Charlie's aunt was a key example of that. "I agree we should maximize the damage of this video," Cooper said pushing it towards Shelby, and hitting play so she could see his brother knocking Charlie out.

Shelby winced, she could feel the impact through the screen and she watches as Charlie finally drops. Charlie could be beaten, it was something that she knew would cheer Cassandra up, and give her the confidence to go back to being a hero. "Keep feeding me information and taking videos like this, quit right before sectionals, and more importantly convince Blaine to quit. Without enough members—"

No wonder Vocal Adrenaline had been an unstoppable force. Shelby played for keeps, and having him spy meant that they would always be one step ahead of McKinley. "They won't be able to compete, and even if they find someone to stand in and they'll still be in disarray."

Shelby smiled, if McKinley was forced to withdraw, she knew Rachel would have no choice but to join their team.

Charlie pulled her headphones out of her bag and placed them in her ears as she picked up her phone and chose a playlist to listen to as she waited for her mother to arrive. Closing her eyes she rests her head against the wall of Figgins office, as she taps along with the music. This wasn't the first time that her parents had been called to the school because of something she had done. In fact for a while it generally seemed like a weekly occurrence.

This was the first time that someone had sued her family though, and upon reflection it was clear that she should have at least aimed for Lauren's mouth instead of her arm. She didn't need anyone telling her that she had gone too far with Lauren, she knew it once Brittany had explained Lauren's injuries to her. Even if it had been an accident to scar her face, she wasn't the least bit apologetic. Lauren had challenged her to a fight, and she was the one that needed to bear the consequences of those actions.

The sudden pain in her forehead, causes Charlie's eyes to snap open and she looks up. She's not truly surprised to see Santana standing there, and after Santana gestures her for her to remove her headphones she does. "Lauren's suing the school and my parents. Figgins is losing his mind, thinking about the costs of hiring a lawyer."

Santana looked up to see Figgins and Beiste arguing in the room, and rolled her eyes. Of course Figgins was worried about the budget. "I don't know why he's so worried. Every single parent signed a liability waiver, it's required to be on the team. Lauren's parents signed, she wouldn't have been allowed to compete at regionals, because you need to sign a liability waiver to compete there as well."

Charlie watches as Santana takes a seat beside her, "Do you think I need to apologize to her?"

"Lauren?" Santana asks and makes a face when Charlie nods. "Fuck no. Fuck her. I want to kick your ass just as much as Lauren does. But it won't mean anything to me if I don't get to kick your ass when you aren't in your best."

Charlie snorts at this and leans her head back. "Well, my dad will never let me apologize to Lauren now that she's retained a lawyer, so that's a moot point. Oh, Dani texted me, as long as Frannie takes care of transport she's down."

Santana sat up and looked over at Charlie who had announced it rather nonchalantly. "When?"

Charlie shrugged, "I haven't texted her back."

Santana paused for a moment, when she had gone after the PVA team, she had been certain that they had their full roster, which included Lauren. With Lauren off the team, half of their formations that they had practiced wouldn't work, and they had a brand new member of the team that she wasn't quite sure she trusted. "Do you think we can beat them—without you?" Santana asked.

"No. PVA has history, experience and the entire team is basically made up of level 4s. And I'm not talking about people who are barely level 4s. Even if you outsmart them Santana, you and Blaine aren't enough to overtake the team on your own. They train nearly as hard as I do, and nearly every one in that room will either be recruited by a high ranking team or go to one of the top schools." Charlie shrugged.

"And if we had Lauren— " Charlie shakes her head and Santana makes a face. "Why didn't you stop me from throwing down the gauntlet if you didn't think we could win?"

"Because your goal isn't to win?" Charlie smiled when Santana looked at her. "You just want to prove something to Dani."

Santana sighed, "You're right. How could you—"

Charlie tilts her head as a portal appears and her father steps out of it. His sudden appearance causes Charlie to frown and stand up, "Dad?"

Russell Fabray looked at his youngest daughter, "Your mother called me," he says briskly. "Have you apologized?"

Charlie blinked and studied her dad for a moment, he was wearing one of his fancy suits that he wore when he wanted to make a power move—or impress her mother. It was probably both today, "No."

Russell nodded, "Good, I'll wait for your mother. We need to be a united front with this one."

Charlie blinked, more the latter then. Quickly growing disinterested in her father's appearance she turns to Santana, "Practice at your place?" Charlie asks flashing Santana her most charming smile at Santana. She would prefer to end her dry spell with Santana.

Santana looks at Charlie, and then looks at Russell before looking back at Charlie. "I have things I need to get done after school, but we'll talk later."

Charlie nods and watches Santana leave, before puffing out her cheeks in annoyance that she wasn't going to get what she wanted.

"Girl trouble?"

Charlie looks at her father for a moment and makes a face at him, the last thing she needed was her dad attempting to give her terrible advice on how to seduce women. She was seriously beginning to believe that there was a troubling amount of people in her family who didn't know how to seduce people in non-problematic ways. "No," Charlie said and shrugs her shoulders.
