Okay, here's the gist, Chapter 2 feels too edgy for my taste and for anything that's shown on a channel like Channel 7. *Cough* *Cough* Yukako's backstory *Cough* *Cough*. So Chapter 2, Rebooted!

GATE-002: Shortcut or Undercut?! The Forest Cop's cruel justice!
A young boy was walking down the sidewalk of the streets of Starlight City, he looked down at his phone before giving a small sigh. Yeah, He was going to be late. He suddenly saw what seemed to be a shortcut, leading into an forested area. He gave a small breath before walking down that path, as he was walked through the path, he gave a small breath as he looked around his surroundings. Suddenly, a blur rushed from the bushes, the man turned around to the sound only to see nothing. Suddenly, he looked up to see a silhouette with glowing red eyes, sitting on top of a tree. He panicked as the silhouette jumped from the tree and landed in front of him, now wielding a D-Grid, as if challenging him to a duel, he gulped in horror before pulling out a D-Grid of his own and placed his device on his wrist, a foul sense of horror crawling through his bones. Meanwhile, a person is seen sitting at a disk with computer with statistics from different sources, with her glasses illuminated by the dull light from her monitor, the only light with the dark moon. The girl smiles as she watched a statistic resembling a Duel Monster Life Point monitor fell all the way done to 0.

*8 Minute Intro* (Yukiko's D-Grid's screen flashed blue and she smirked as she put the device on her whist with a smirk and she jumped upwards in the sky.)
I look to the sky, wandering how long it would take. (Yukiko then seen looking upwards into the sky with a curious look on her face.)
I just keep going on, no matter how many obstacles are in my way! (Touma was standing in front of a strange looking pipe-like structure before a humanoid monster jumped out of the pipe.)
An unknown road, but I know it leads to a brighter world (Chihiro was walking though a city centre with the silhouette of a regal-knight-like monster floating above her.)
Somewhere out there, I know your smiling there, waiting out for me. (Here I go!) (Yukiko is then seen looking around a dark room with the silhouette of multiple figures surrounding her with the only one visible to the camera with glowing green eyes before snapping his fingers as a large mantis-like monster smashed though the glass.)
Roll The Dice, Roll The Dice! Come on! We're won't give in, We'll move on towards the future! (Yukiko slammed a card on the blade of the D-Grid before a humanoid warrior appeared from an hexagonal portal before reeling her fist backwards and fired a fist coated in spiralling red flame-like energy into the mantis' face, caving it in and causing an huge explosion.)
Bring it On, Bring it On! Let's Go! Hope is strong and it'll find a way! (A silhouette was gazing into the moonlight with a dark smirk on her face, her cold red eyes glaring at the moon.)
We're living every moment in the present, shining on the stage! (Yukiko and the two silhouettes were looking upwards to the sun as three lights (1 Violet, 1 White, 1 Black) flew upwards and collided with each other, transforming into the title screen with the team posing.)

Yukiko was sleeping softly in her bed, before a loud ringing noise rings out through the room, the sound seemingly amplified by the walls. She wakes up with a jolt before checking the alarm clock. 8:23 AM, She was running late. She started to scrambled around the room, rushing to get dressed. She ran out of the room, rushing down the hallway while getting dressed, her backpack her D-Grid and deck hanging over her elbow before pulling it over her shoulders, now on her back. Then, she entered the bathroom, before running out of the room with a toothbrush in her mouth, she viciously brushing her teeth before she ran down the staircase, Yusuke watching from his room with a slight look of amusement. Yukiko ran down stairs into the kitchen where her mother, a beautiful young woman with long red and blue hair, was drinking a cup of coffee. "Let me guess, you overslept." she asked as Yukiko looked up and sheepishly nod, a piece of buttered toast within her mouth. Her mother sighed as Yukiko ran off and put on what she thought, were normal shoes, before she started to slid on the ground a little. She looked down to see, she was wearing rollerskates. She sighed in frustration before realizing that she could get to school faster before opening the door and rolling out of the house.
Yukiko was now skating down the streets, looking determined to get to school on time. 'I'm gonna be late if I don't hurry, wait, didn't Touma was talking about an shortcut?' she thought as she saw an pathway heading into a forest area. 'That must be it.' she thought as she took a sharp turn into the shortcut. Meanwhile, a silhouette was sitting a tree, watching with what seemed to be night-visor googles. Suddenly, she saw something, it was Yukiko, rolling her way to school. She then pressed a small red-button on the side of her googles "Control, I got eyes on a potential law-breaker, permission to engage?" she asked before a voice, sounding strangely excited by the prospect, responded. "Permission Granted." as the figure gave a small grin.
Meanwhile, Yukiko was rolling through the forest, completely unaware the thing running through the woods. Suddenly, she heard something and skid to a stop. "Hello? W-who's there?" she asked, a little confused and scared. Suddenly, she saw something approaching her, a pair of glowing red dots peering from the darkness of the forest. Yukiko gave a slight grimace as a shiver ran down her spine as a young girl, about a few years older then her, with short spiky dark red and red hair tied into a pair of spiky pigtails. Yukiko couldn't make out her eye colour, a dark green high-tech-looking pair of night-vision goggles over her eyes, with the lens being a blood red colour. She was also wearing a dark blue police outfit, and had a malicious grin on her face. She raised her arm in a challenge manner, revealing that she had a dark blue D-Grid on her wrist, with a strange program playing on the device. She was trying to bait her out. Yukiko pulled out her D-Grid out of her bag and placed it on her arm. To her surprise, her D-Grid immediately transformed into Duel Mode automatically and her D-Visor formed over her eyes. "What the...?!" she wandered outloud before being cut off by the girl laughing. "Trust me, Criminal, This is a forced duel function, basically, you are forced to duel me, if you win, I let you go, if I win, you are coming with me!" the girl said as Yukiko gulped as she placed her deck into the deck slot. The girl gave a grin before placing her deck into the deck slot. However, instead of just standing there, Yukiko had an idea. She started to move in the direction of her school, the girl noticed and started to chase after her, her shoes shifting into rollerblades as well to keep up. The two were neck-and-neck, both girls drew 5 cards and looked at each other confidently. "DUEL!" they both yelled as the duel began.

Yukiko started to speed up while Monika gave a small grin before taking the first turn. "Boku no Turn! DRAW!" she yelled as she drew her card. "First, Field Magic, Fortress Megaplex MAX, Hatsudo!" she yelled as the area around them transformed into a mall complex of somekind. "Huh?" Yukiko asked as she looked around, confused. "This card allows my monsters to fight at their fullest potential. Now, Justice Force Nitro Wolf Shoukan!" Monika yelled as she slammed the card on the disk. From a portal, a strange looking car rolled out, it was sliver with red lining, with the front being modelled after a Wolf's head. The eyes in the wolf head glowed orange as it drove alongside Monika.

'That's a cool-looking monster.' Yukiko thought before Monika raised a card. "Next, Fortress Megaplex MAX no Kouka Hatsudo! When I Normal or Special Summon a "Justice Force" monster, I can Special Summon 1 "Justice Force" monster from my hand. Koi, Justice Force Shark Copter!" she yelled as she activated the card effect. From a hidden compartment within the mall, a new machine flew out, it was a dark blue, teal and black-coloured shark-themed helicopter which flew next to Monika.

'Woah.' Yukiko thought, amazed but also a little uneasy. "Kaado ni Settai! Turn End!" the police-girl yelled as two facedown Spell/Traps appeared on the field. Yukiko looked between the two machines, and gave a small groan, this might be an issue. "Boku no Turn, Draw!" she said as she drew her card. "First, Network HERO Red Beetle Shoukan!" she yelled as she placed the card on her disk. From a blue hexagonal portal, her red-and-black ladybird-themed hero leapt out of the portal, landing with a dramatic pose before realizing that Yukiko was in fact moving fast in the opposite direction, and in a panic, rushes next to her and floats besides her.

"When she's Summoned, I can add 1 "Metaverse" Spell/Trap from my Deck to my Hand." Yukiko yelled as Red Beetle snapped her fingers and glowed pink. Yukiko then drew a card from her deck, immediately activating the card. "Magic Card, Triple Trouble, Hatsudo!" she yelled as she activated the card. Monika's expression was unclear but by the shifting of her mouth, Yukiko could tell that she looked confused. "That's not a Metaverse card?!" the goggled girl practically screamed before Yukiko raised a finger as if to shush her. "Well, Triple Trouble is treated as a "Metaverse" card, so let me finish, anywhys, where were I?" she said, tapping on her chin, while giving a smirk. "Raagh, GET OVER WITH IT, CRIMINAL!" Monika roared in pure rage while Yukiko gave a small smirk. "Oh Yeah, I can reveal three "Network HERO" monsters in my deck and you have to choose which one I summon, the others are added to my hand." she said as a pale blue screen showing three cards appeared in front of an enraged Monika, who just spammed-clicked the one in the middle in a blind rage. "THIS ONE! THIS ONE! YOU ARE GONNA PICK THIS ONE, OKAY?" she yelled as Yukiko gave a large smirk. "Unfortunately, for you, that is, It was Network HERO Duo Strike." the dual-haired girl answered before a another hexagonal portal appeared next to her. It was yet another Network HERO, this time, a new one, he was a tall humanoid creature, resembling a human male, cladded from head-to-toe in a strange armour, one half was dark green with golden lining on it while the other half was jet black with purple lining on it, with the helmet having two dark red compact bug eyes and a pale white scarf wrapped around his neck. He gave a small finger snap before posing.
Network HERO Duo Strike WIND Level 6 Warrior/Effect ATK:2300/DEF:2300
"I'm sorry, W H A T?" Monika asked, each word drenching with rage. "Hey, just because I'm in a hurry, doesn't mean I can have fun while I hurry!" Yukiko said as she pointed at Duo Strike. "Also, Duo Strike can attack twice!" Yukiko explained as Monika's eye twitched in frustration. "Battle! Duo Strike attack Justice Force Nitro Wolf!" Yukiko yelled as Duo Strike gave a nod before launching himself at the car with spiralling purple energy around his right fist. The fist slammed into the machine's front hood, destroying it in a fiery explosion. Monika gave a small growl as a large shockwave threatened to sweep her off her feet. She was able to keep her footing but was much more slower now.

"Next, Duo Strike attack Shark Copter!" Yukiko commanded before Duo Strike leapt into the air and grabbed Shark Copter by the landing gear and pull it downwards to the ground, causing it to explode like it's land vehicle counterpart. Monika gave a large growl as she took the damage.

"Finally, Network HERO Red Beetle, attacks you directly!" Yukiko yelled as Red Beetle gave a small nod before she reeled her arm backwards, but Monika was prepared for this. "Counter Trap, Full-Metal Scarecrow, Hatsudo! When my Opponent declares a direct attack, I can Special Summon this card as Monster Card and if I do, end the battle phase." she yelled as a pair of chrome robots leapt out of nowhere, causing Red Beetle to jump in surprise.

"Crap, Kaado ni Settai! Turn End!" Yukiko said as her two facedown cards appeared on the field. Monika gave a large smirk before placing her hand on her deck. "Boku no Turn! Draw!" she yelled as she drew her card. "First, since I control "Fortress Megaplex MAX", I can Special Summon this card! Koi, Justice Force Hover Moth!" Monika yelled as she summoned her card. A new portal appeared and a new entity flew out of the portal, resembling a moth-like machine, coloured brown, black and crème with large turbines built into the wings. It hovered in between the two skeletons in a waiting position, like a predator waiting for it's next meal.

[THEME CHANGE: THIS IS TRUE JUSTICE?! (Monika Akabane's Duel Theme)]
"Next, Magic Card, Justice Force Fusion, Hatsudo!" Monika yelled as Yukiko gave a small gasp. "Wait, Fusion?" she yelped before Monika gave a small grin. "I can fuse two monsters I control to Fusion Summon a "Justice Force" Fusion Monster from my Extra Deck, but if I control "Fortress Megaplex MAX", I can use monsters in my GY as Material as well!" Monika yelled as Yukiko gave a small gulp. "I fuse Justice Force Nitro Wolf and Justice Force Shark Copter." she yelled as her previous machines flew out of two portals. "Quantum Revolve Systems, online! Sync-Systems Stable! Justice Force Nitro Wolf and Justice Force Shark Copter, Link-Up Fusion!" she yelled, raising a violet-coloured duel monster card as both machines started to change, the back half of Nitro Wolf split apart and locked into the side of the machine, from shoulder pads, and the sides of the car's hood detached and attached themselves to the ports of the shoulder pads, now resembling a humanoid torso. Meanwhile, Shark Copter transformed, the back split in half before the propeller detached and the machine started to shift to resemble legs. The two halves of the machine, floated above each other, before Nitro Wolf slotted perfectly into Shark Copter, with the propeller attached to the left arm of the robot, with the hands shifted out. "Complete! Yuugo Shoukan (Fusion Summon)! Arawareyo! Rebaru Hachi! Justice Force Nitro Copter!" A mechanical head shifted out of the top halve of the machine, and the eyes flashed yellow, before striking a pose. "And when I control a Fusion Monster, Fortress Megaplex MAX gives all "Justice Force" Fusion Monsters I control 200 ATK for every "Justice Force" monster I control!" Monika yelled as Nitro Copter powered up.

"...Crap." Yukiko muttered to herself, knowing that she was going to be late. "Next, Fortress Megaplex MAX no kouka hatsudo! When I Special Summon a "Justice Force" Monster from the Extra Deck, I can Special Summon 1 "Justice Token". Monika yelled as her new monster emerged from one of the stores and floated next to her moth. It was a strange humanoid, wearing a black and white costume that resembled a skeleton.

[THEME CHANGE:A FRAGMENT OF THE MULTIVERSE (Gradient Summoning Theme #1)]
"Uh Oh." Yukiko said, knowing exactly what Monika was playing. "Boku no, Justice Token, Full-Metal Scarecrow ni tai de to, Rebaru Go Justice Force Hover Moth de Setsuzoku!" Monika yelled as Hover Moth's turbines started to spin faster and faster, before the other three monsters glowed dark purple and transformed into orbs of energy that were absorbed into the machine's power core. "Korera no monsutā de, watashi wa tagen uchū no eniguma kōdo no rokku o kaijo shimasu!" Monika yelled as a pair of dark purple tornados burst out of Hover Moth's turbines, with dark purple creaks started to dance around it's chassis, before it exploded in a dark purple smoke, with it's power core, now glowing dark purple became bigger and bigger. "Power Core Unstable, All Systems set to overdrive, DESTROY, ERADICATE, CONQUER, D.E.C System Online!" Monika yelled before the core started to shift into a new form. "Kobai Shoukan! Arawareyo!" She yelled. Within the shadowy clouds, a new machine flew upwards, it was a large plane, resembling a cross between an alligator and a blue whale, with six turbines, three on each wing, an alligator head built into each side of the machine and the front of the plane, designed to resemble a whales head. "Justice Force Oppenheimer Dreadnought!" The thing gave a mechanical roar as the clouds were blew away as it took it's next to Nitro Copter and above Monika, it's Nexus Points floated around it.

"I feel like this seems to be a little counter-constructive towards what your deck stands for." Yukiko said clearly confused. As soon as those words left Yukiko's lips, Monika was sent into a rage. "Well, unlike your "HEROes", my monsters are created to protect the peace, and will do so in any way possible, even if it includes the destruction of property!" Monika retorted as Yukiko just blinked, trying to process what came out of Monika's mouth. "But, the monster you summoned is literally named after the guy who built the first nuclear bomb." Yukiko said as Monika simply rolled her eyes. "Battle! Justice Force Oppenheimer Dreadnought attack Network HERO Duo Strike!" Monika yelled as her monster opened it's main head's mouth and started to charge up a beam of purple energy seemingly aimed at Red Beetle, who looked shocked. Duo Strike leapt in front of Red Beetle as Oppenheimer Dreadnought fired a beam of purple energy, destroying Duo Strike. Yukiko gave a small grunt as the damage washed over her while Red Beetle looked horrified.

"Next, Justice Force Oppenheimer Dreadnought no kouka hatsudo! When it destroys a monster in battle, I can disconnect 1 Material from this card and if I do, I can destroy 1 monster you controls, and inflict damage equal to it's level X 200!" Monika yelled as one of the Nexus Points disappeared and Oppenheimer Dreadnought opened both of it's alligator heads before closing them again in a rapid manner, sending a shockwave through the field that obliterated Red Beetle and almost making Yukiko almost lose her balance.

Yukiko gave a breath before seeing something in front of her, It was Nitro Copter. "This is the end, Criminal, you lose!" Monika yelled as Nitro Copter looked ready to strike, but Yukiko gave a confident smirk. "Counter Trap, Metaverse Phantom Smog, Hatsudo! When my opponent declares a direct attack, I can pay half of my life points and negate the attack!" she yelled as a cloud of dark purple smoke spilled out of the card. While Nitro Copter was blindsided by the smoke, Yukiko gave a small breath as the smog's poison ran through her veins.

Monika gave a loud growl as Yukiko gave a smug look. "Fine, I'll get you next turn, Turn End!" she yelled as Yukiko closed her eyes and gave a small breath and she placed her hand on her deck. "Boku no Turn, Draw!" Yukiko yelled as she drew her card and looked at the card, giving a smirk when she saw it.
[THEME CHANGE: HEARTBEAT OF THE STORM (Yukiko Hoshizaki's Theme)]
"First, Since I control no monsters, I can Summon this guy from my hand! Koi, Network HERO Swift Blast!" Yukiko yelled as she slammed the card on her disk. From a portal, a familiar blue-clad hero zipped out and struck a peace sign as he joined Yukiko's side.

"Next, since I control a "Network HERO" monster, I can Special Summon this guy from my hand! Koi, Network HERO Secret Templar!" Yukiko said as she summoned the monster. From another portal, A new monster leapt out, it was a young man, with tanned skin and short black hair, wearing a dark blue and gold jacket with the hood cover over his head, covering his face, over a grey shirt with a dark red scarf tied around his neck, grey trousers and brown boots. He gave a lone solemn grunt before unsheathing a sword.
Network HERO Secret Templar DARK Level 4 Warrior/Effect ATK:1400/DEF:1200
"Where are you going with this?" Monika asked as Yukiko giggled. "Well, Watch and learn, Moni-Chan!" Yukiko joked as Monika suddenly gasped dramatically. "What did you just call me?!" the goggled girl roared, her visors glowing an ominous red. "Yeah, I called you Moni-Chan, deal with it." Yukiko said as she selected another card in her hand. "Now, Magic Card, Metaverse Ignition, Hatsudo! I can Special Summon 2 "Network HERO" monsters from my deck, the downside is that I can't Special Summon monsters from my Extra Deck, well except for Gradient Monsters." she said while smirking. "Anyhow, Network HERO Sliver Break and Network HERO Verdant Vanguard, Tokushu Shoukan!" she yelled as she placed the two cards on her disk. From two more portals, two more monsters emerged. The first monster was a humanoid monster, resembling Swift Burst, but his hair was a more sliver colour, and longer, and was wearing a dark blue and cyan jacket with gold lining over a futuristic dark blue jumpsuit with cyan cybernetic markings on it, dark blue gloves with gold cuffs and dark blue and gold knee-length boots. The second one, was a young boy, with spiky dark green hair and emerald green eyes, and was wearing a black lower face-mask, a dark green and black jumpsuit and dark red and black gloves and boots.
Network HERO Sliver Break LIGHT Level 4 Psychic/Effect ATK:1300/DEF:1200
Network HERO Verdant Vanguard EARTH Level 4 Warrior/Synthesis/Effect ATK:1400/DEF:1300
"A Synthesis Monster? Are you going to Gradient Summon?" Monika asked as Yukiko rolled her eyes. "Obviously, duh." Yukiko said before raising her hand. "Boku no, Swift Blast, Secret Templar, Sliver Break to, Rebaru Yon Verdant Vanguard de Setsuzoku!" she yelled as Verdant Vanguard slammed his fists together and the other three started to glow green (Swift Blast), purple (Secret Templar) and yellow (Sliver Break) respectively. "Korera no monsutā de, watashi wa tagen uchū no eniguma kōdo no rokku o kaijo shimasu!" The three monsters transformed into orbs of green (Swift Blast), purple (Secret Templar) and yellow (Sliver Break) energy and started to orbit Verdant Vanguard who's body started to glow a pale greenish-orange colour and started to generate green lighting that sparked around his body. "The strongest fist, sparks with energy of the legacy of 9, it's One for All!" the orbs were absorbed into Verdant Vanguard's body, whose body transformed into a dark orange orb of energy that was still sparking with green energy. "Kobai Shoukan!" Yukiko yelled as she placed the new card on her disk. Suddenly, the orb exploded in a flurry of green lighting, revealing the new monster, the monster resembled Verdant Vanguard, but he was taller, his hair was now a teal colour, with dark green horns poking out of his hair. His eyes were also black with dark green pupils and his mask now resembled the lower part of a gas mask. He was now wearing a dark yellow scarf around his neck, dark red jacket over a dark green and black jumpsuit, his gloves has black spikes sticking out of the cuffs and black goo covering his fingertips. "Shinwa-Sei Hachi! Network HERO Verdant Vanguard V!" Yukiko yelled as Verdant Vanguard V gave a small twirl and gave a pose, with black tendrils bursting out his back and his Nexus Points orbiting him.

Monika chuckled a little. "And I was scared that you would actually summon something stronger then well, THAT." she said as she pointed at Verdant Vanguard V. "Tu, Tu, Tu, I'm done yet, Moni-Chan." Yukiko said as she selected another card in her hand. "Magic Card, Metaverse Star Matrix Hatsudo! I can Special Summon 3 Metaverse Tokens and then, add 1 "Network HERO" Synthesis Monster to my hand!" Yukiko yelled as three small orbs of baby blue energy floated downwards towards the ground and transformed into strange light blue humanoid creatures, slightly resembling baby lizards.

A card slid out of Yukiko's deck and the girl drew it. "Next, since I haven't Normal Summoned during my turn, Network HERO Portal Jumper Shoukan!" Yukiko yelled as she slammed her card onto her disk. A portal opened and Portal Jumper leapt out and struck a pose as she floated next to Verdant Vanguard V.
Network HERO Portal Jumper FIRE Level 4 Warrior/Effect ATK:1500/DEF:1000
Monika gave a alarmed look on her face, immediately realizing what Yukiko was planning, while Yukiko gave a smirk before raising a hand. "Boku no, Metaverse Token san to, Rebaru Yon Portal Jumper de Setsuzoku!" she yelled as Portal Jumper gave a whistle and the three tokens started to glow pale yellow. "Korera no monsutā de, watashi wa tagen uchū no eniguma kōdo no rokku o kaijo shimasu!" The three creatures transformed into yellow orbs that started to circle Portal Jumper who smirked as her body was glowing a pale red colour. The three orbs were absorbed into Portal Jumper's body, who's whole form spiral outwards into a tornado of fire. Yukiko yelled as a hand poked out of the flames, and swiped the flames away, to reveal Portal Jumper's fire-based upgrade form. "Shinwa-Sei Hachi! Light Em Up! Network HERO Red Burner!" Red Burner struck a pose before unsheathing her sword, her Nexus Points orbiting her.

Monika rolled her eyes again. "Still can't defeat my monsters." she muttered as Yukiko gave a large grin. "Watch and learn! Battle! Network HERO Red Burner attack Justice Force Oppenheimer Dreadnought!" Yukiko yelled as Red Burner gave a smirk before leaping at Oppenheimer Dreadnought, sword drawn. "Well, you asked for it-?!" "Network HERO Red Burner no Kouka Hatsudo!" Yukiko interrupted Monika, the redhead's expression was unknown but her scowl was more then enough to show that she was shocked. "When she battles a Special Summoned Monster, she gains ATK equal to half that monster's ATK! Red Branding!" Yukiko yelled as Red Burner's blade ignited in a glorious blaze.

"Oh Crap!" Monika yelled as Red Burner maneuverer around laser beams and energy blasts before spotting the power core of the machine. "Burning Red Atomic Slash!" Yukiko yelled as Red Burner slashed through the core with an energy slash. The core exploded, engulfing the machine within a fiery explosion. Monika growled as she felt the pain of the damage drove through her body

Yukiko yelled as one of Verdant Vanguard V's Nexus Points vanished from sight as his whole body started to spark with green electricity. "And I can do this once more!" Yukiko yelled as another Nexus Point vanished and the electricity became more abhorrent and his eyes becoming a dark pink colour. "And again!" Yukiko yelled as yet another Nexus Point vanished, the green electricity being joined by dark red electricity and his eyes gained dark red slits within them.

"Wait, Wait, Wait, This can't be, this isn't supposed to go!" Monika yelled as Yukiko and Verdant Vanguard V were now staring at Nitro Copter with a mischievous look plastered on their faces. "Network HERO Verdant Vanguard V," Yukiko yelled, pointing at Nitro Copter. "No, No, No, No, No, No!" Monika started, looking around. "attack," Yukiko continued as Verdant Vanguard V got ready to strike, dark pink markings appearing on his body. "Hey, Command, I need help!" Monika yelled as she pressed the side of her mask. The voice that came out just sounded slightly sarcastic, yet displeased. "Sorry, You're on your own." it said as Monika's brain just went blank. "But, I'm the hero in this story..." Monika could only mutter silently. "Justice Force Nitro Copter! Downtown Detroit Annihilation!" Yukiko finished as Verdant Vanguard V's tendrils coiled behind him and propelled him forwards towards the machine. The machine only had time to see a fist, coated in green and red electricity, flying right towards it's face before Verdant Vanguard V completely caved it's head in. The resulting shockwave cracked through Monika's goggles, destroying them, revealing her pale blue eyes to the outside world for first time in 3 months, being filled with shock.

Yukiko started to speed up as the AR Field vanished from view while Monika just simply skid to a stop. Yukiko rolled into the gates of Eastwood Academy with a large smirk, before realizing that she couldn't be able to retract the wheels of her boots before looking a little sheepish, before rolling into the school. She started to rush towards her homeroom at top speed. She skid to a stop before trying to crawl silently into the classroom, before being stopped by someone. She slowly turned her head around to see her teacher, holding up her up from her jacket with the calmest yet enraged look on her face. 'Crap.' Yukiko thought.
A FEW HOUR LATER...
Touma just shook his head as he watched Yukiko scrubbed some grime off the wall, Kirito, on the other hand, "HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! THE WAY YOU WOULD ACTUALLY CRAWLED IN AND HOW SHE GRABBED YOU, COMANDY GOLD! WHAT WERE YOU EVEN DOING TO EVEN BE LATE LIKE THAT?" Kirito laughed, while Yukiko just glared at him and then, with a more softer gaze, towards her rollerskates. "Let me guess, you were running late and you took the shortcut I told you about, didn't you?" Touma said while Yukiko immediately looked at him. "Yeah, you neglected to mention the Forest Cop." Yukiko said, Touma rolling his eyes. "They always zone out after the Shortcut part." he muttered, Yukiko looking slightly irritated while Kirito looked confused. "Isn't that the chick that's always wearing night visor googles and use those weird robot cards, what were they called again?" he muttered. "Justice Force." The trio whipped their heads around to see Chihiro leaning against the wall. "Oh, Your here." Touma muttered as Chihiro gave a smirk. "Too be honest, the name is basically a lie in it's self." Kirito said as Touma and Chihiro gave a slight nod while Yukiko just continued scrubbing the grime off the walls. "I mean, their lore basically make them all wolfs in sheep's clothing." Touma added as Yukiko glazed over to them. "I mean, their doing a real bad job, considering that they have a monster named after the guy who created the first Atomic Bomb." Yukiko muttered to herself, before remembering what Monika said, who was 'Command' and what were their motives. She just sighed as she scrubbed some more grime off the wall.
MEANWHILE IN AN UNKNOWN LOCATION...
A figure sat in a darken room, her glasses illuminated by the computer screen in front of her. The screen were showing the statistics and footage of the duel between Yukiko and Monika, replaying the part where Yukiko won. "Interesting, but could still be a lucky shot." the figure said as she pressed a button. "But still, failure is not tolerated." she muttered as a red X appeared over the image of Monika before the image disappeared from the screen. She then heard a sound from behind her, and turned to see a figure wearing a black and green cloak, standing near the doorway. "Oh, Glitch, your here." she muttered as the figure grinned. "What, not surprised to see me?" he asked as the girl rolled her eyes. "I still fail to see why the boss choose you." she muttered as Glitch chuckled. "What can I say, the boss sees potential in me, that's why I'm the Messager and you stuck working the desk job." he said while the girl just rolled her eyes. "Well, then, I'm guessing the boss wants progress on the special project." she asked. "Yeah, I guessing your halfway done?" Glitch asked while the girl smirked. "So, you CAN get something right." she mused as Glitch gave an irritated growl. "But, yes, it should take about a week for them to be fully finished and ready to be deployed." she said as Glitch gave a small grin. "Good, but, I must ask about that kid?" he asked, pointing at the screen, specifically towards the image of Yukiko. "She isn't that special but we might have to keep an eye on her, though might not necessary for what we have planned." the girl muttered, her glasses reflected what seemed to a Fusion Monster with two different monster types.

*8 Minute Intro* (A Duel Monsters card is seen spinning from side to side, the card being Yukiko's Network HERO Red Burner. We then cut to Yukako standing on a hill looking into the clear night sky.)
A flash of light sprouting into bloom and the journey's star start to form a new path! (Yukiko is then seen duelling someone, the other player raises a card over his head and a sickly green glow radiates from the card, causing Yukiko raises her arm over her face trying to block the glow.)
Raindrops dance and Lady Hope's Luck shifts the destiny scales, So brightens up a new light as you dawn a new echo, the choir of light, No light No Bloom. (Yukiko is then seen standing a black void as a silhouette appears beside her, she hold her hand out and the silhouette did the same, the two slowly merging into one.)
And I'll not be left behind as I shine ahead, I shine a path to break away. I'll brighten a light as an imagination flash as a star brighten. (Yukiko is then pulled back into reality by the roar of a strange creature, she then looks at the creature in front of her with a determined look on her face.)
We are Dreamers! We won't give in until we win this war! This road's no match! We can't hold back! We can only hope for the stars! (Chihiro and Touma are seen sitting on a hill together, not really talking to each other. Yukiko sits in-between them and they both smile slightly.)

2. Some of the Network HERO Gradient Monsters are based on OCs, Alternative Forms and different AUs of Fandoms, like how normal Network HEROes are based on Fandom Culture. For Example, Verdant Vanguard V is an AU of Deku, named the Apocalypse AU, with design elements from All for One 100% and Vigilante Deku, while Red Burner is an OC.
