CHAPTER 2

Greetings to a SilkWing

Geoffrey was far. Far away from Melior, Castle Crimea, that was. However, he was so far away that the soldier trying to catch him did not pass through the outside border. But Geoffrey, however, did pass through that border. He ended up in a world full of trees and a bunch of dragons. That world…was Pantala, the home of the SilkWing dragons and other dragon tribes, such as the LeafWings and the HiveWings, and the extinct BeetleWings.

When Geoffrey dismounted his beautiful horse, he decided to explore the forest-like world of Pantala. He never saw any dragons, not even Dragonfly. Geoffrey thought that Bastian, Elincia, and his sister Lucia were right all along. Then, he was spotted by a bunch of SilkWing dragons.

"You there! Stop in the name of the Queen!" yelled a male SilkWing.

"Oh, no…" said Geoffrey. He later decided to mount on his horse and travel back to Tellius, his home continent.

Back at Melior, Castle Crimea, Elincia was told by the Crimean soldier who was catching Geoffrey that Geoffrey made his escape. Worried about his whereabouts, Elincia decided to hire a search party known as the Crimean White Wyverns to hunt down Geoffrey.

"I sure hope we find him." said a female Crimean White Wyvern member.

"Come on, giddy up, guys, there's so much to do!" said a male Crimean White Wyvern member.

"He's right." said another female Crimean White Wyvern member. "Geoffrey must be found.

"I'll go get my pegasus." said Elincia. "Lucia, you're with me. Gear up, if you must."

"Yes, my princess." said Lucia.

Lucia later went to gear up in armor to ride with Elincia to find her brother.

When Elincia and her crew hit the skies to find Geoffrey, Geoffrey however, was already found by one female Crimean White Wyvern member. When everyone landed their mounts and dismounted from them, Lucia went to confront Geoffrey. Geoffrey, shutting up Lucia, had no choice but to tell her, Elincia, and Bastian about what he had seen.

"Do you honestly think we're going to believe you?!" asked Lucia. "If it's about those SilkWings or about that Dragonfly SilkWing, I don't wanna hear it!" she later yelled.

"Just follow me, please!" complained Geoffrey.

"You guys go ahead with Geoffrey…we're returning to Crimea." said a Crimean White Wyvern member to Elincia.

"I'll go see what he wants to show us." said Elincia.

And so, Elincia, Bastian, and Lucia later followed Geoffrey to wherever he was going.

After almost three hours of traveling, Geoffrey showed his sister, the princess, and Bastian what he had seen after running away.

"What…is this?!" asked Lucia.

"Is this–" asked Bastian before being shushed by Elincia.

"This is Pantala. I recognize it from those stories of Dragonfly." said Geoffrey.

"You are…the outsiders of the outrealms." said a draconic voice in an echoing mode.

"That voice!" said Geoffrey.

"How did you find the SilkWing tribe? Sounds like you have heard of that very SilkWing." asked the draconic voice as it echoed. "Tell me….what was the SilkWing's name you speak of? Who are you as outsiders? What brings you to Pantala?" the draconic voice asked.

"We are from the continent of Tellius, the country of Crimea, home of the beorc, the children of wisdom. We have come for one SilkWing….and one SilkWing alone….His name…was Dragonfly." said Elincia.

"Dragonfly….The ancient SilkWing known for his wise wisdom and prowess….Hmmmm….." wondered the draconic voice. That vice exposed herself as an actual SilkWing. Her name was Luna.

"OK, I'm apologizing." said Lucia.

"Geoffrey….was this what you heard?" asked Bastian.

"This is what I was telling you!" answered Geoffrey.

"I guess…we should say that we're sorry….for how we were treating you." said Elincia.

"And I guess that argument was for….almost nothing." said Lucia.

"You're….beorc, you said?" asked Luna.

"Thanks for not calling us 'human' by chance, SilkWing fellow." said Geoffrey. "It's actually racist to the beorc in our world."

"Who are you?" asked Elincia.

"My name is Luna. I'm a SilkWing dragonet of the LeafSilk Kingdom." Luna said as she introduced herself to Elincia and her crew.

"It's a pleasure to meet you, Luna." said Elincia. "My name is Elincia, the princess of Crimea, and this is Bastian, Lucia, and her younger brother Geoffrey."

"It's a pleasure to meet you four." said Luna. "But….I must ask….is Dragonfly the reason you are brought here?" she later asked.

Everyone nodded yes. When Geoffrey asked about Dragonfly's whereabouts, Luna said that Dragonfly went missing.

"Missing?!" asked Geoffrey.

"Hop on my back." said Luna.

"Not me." said Geoffrey. "I've got my horse with me."

"And I already have a pegasus." said Elincia.

"Alright. Whoever goes by the names of Bastian and Lucia, then." said Luna.

"Oh, boy." said Lucia.

"So…where are you taking us?" asked Bastian.

"To my family and my partner. They have the story of Dragonfly's whereabouts and the conflict we are facing right now." said Luna.

When Lucia and Bastian hopped on Luna's back, she flew off to her home. Geoffrey mounted on his horse and followed them with Elincia. The journey in Pantala was just about to begin.
