CHAPTER 4
The Truth About Dragonfly
Monarch and her crew, consisting of Luna and the four beorc of Tellius' Crimea, landed safely in the Poison Jungle, where most of the LeafWings resided. There, Queen Sequoia, queen of the LeafWing dragon tribe, who was accompanied by her great-granddaughter Hazel the LeafWing, was pleased to see Queen Monarch. However, she was suspicious of the Crimean beorc, and ended up calling them "humans". What Sequoia didn't know was that the word "human" was racist to the beorc of Tellius.
"I beg your pardon, Queen Sequoia, but that word is vicious to these people." said Queen Monarch of the SilkWings.
"Unfortunately, my father Admiral had to learn that the hard way." said Luna.
"Oh, pardon my LeafWing language, Queen Monarch." said Queen Sequoia. "Please, let the people introduce themselves to me."
Elincia, Geoffrey, Lucia, and Bastian then introduced themselves to the LeafWing queen.
"Great-Grandmommy, how did they end up here?" asked Hazel to Sequoia.
"Now, now, dear Hazel, please allow us to speak to the outsiders of Pantala." said Sequoia to Hazel. "Why don't you go inside the palace."
Hazel later went inside the palace of the LeafWings. After that, Queen Monarch explained what has brought the Tellius beorc into Pantala.
"So it's about the SilkWing Dragonfly?" asked Sequoia.
"Yes, it is." said Lucia. "Unfortunately, my brother Geoffrey had to argue with me about him."
"I see." responded Sequoia.
"Do you know what has happened to the SilkWing Dragonfly?" asked Geoffrey.
"...HiveWings." said Sequoia.
"...HiveWings?!" asked Luna.
"HiveWings?!" asked Queen Monarch. "That tyrannical Queen Wasp must have something to do with this mess!"
"I was suspecting Queen Wasp too. It was big news that the SilkWing Dragonfly unexpectedly went missing." said Sequoia.
"What are…..HiveWings?" asked Geoffrey.
"The third of Pantala's dragon tribes, Geoffrey." answered Queen Sequoia. "Descended from the now-extinct BeetleWings, HiveWings are known for enslaving SilkWing dragons."
"So what you just said…could the HiveWings possibly enslaved Dragonfly?" asked Elincia to Queen Sequoia.
"It's a possibility that the HiveWings were responsible, but I would have to travel to the Hives with you guys to check it out." said Sequoia.
A friendly male HiveWing was later flying through the Poison Jungle. Named Longhorn, he was looking for Queen Sequoia. However, when he had found her, he later became distressed.
"Longhorn, what is the matter?" asked Queen Sequoia. "Is there something wrong?"
"If you must know what the problem is, Queen of LeafWings, Wasp has made plans to execute Dragonfly." said Longhorn.
"So the HiveWings have Dragonfly?!" asked Elincia.
Longhorn wondered who the outsiders were.
"These people, Elincia, Geoffrey, Bastian, and Lucia, are helping us in retrieving Dragonfly back, and returning him to the SilkWing kingdom." said Queen Monarch.
"I see." said Longhorn. He later introduced himself to the Crimean beorc.
"You're a friendly HiveWing I am assuming?" asked Lucia.
"I am." said Longhorn. "I am the one who releases the SilkWings from slavery without Queen Wasp finding out." he explained.
"Then we'll need your help." said Geoffrey.
"Hop on my back." said Sequoia. "I'll come with you."
Geoffrey and Lucia hopped on Sequoia's back, and Elincia and Bastian later hopped on Monarch's back. Together, they flew to the Hives to find Queen Wasp, and what her motives with Dragonfly are. The quest to retrieve Dragonfly was still going on.
