Just as Melascula had calculated, it took Nebbie a few days to travel towards Dalmally. With that time, Elizabeth had thought a lot about what Zeldris had told her. She had began analyzing herself. She was slim, barely holding any muscle in her scrawny arms. She had no experience with a sword or any kind of weapon either. He was right, there's no way she could have any chance in a battle. It was pathetic in her eyes, how can she help fight for her kingdom if she can't even...fight?!
Melascula noticed her through the window and decided to check up on her. "What's...gotten you so blue, your highness?" She asked caringly. "Oh...Good Morning, Lady Melascula. Nothing's wrong." She said, obviously just trying not draw attention to her mood. The Commandment of Faith however wasn't really buying it. Elizabeth's expression gave it away. "You're...not a very good liar, my lady." Melascula said awkwardly. "Oh..." Elizabeth said, looking to the side with a sigh; "It's...just that I wish I could be...strong.". Melascula put a finger to her chin, thinking profusely. She floated up to the Princess and sat next to her. "Sir Zeldris was right. If I go help you save Estarossa, I'd just get in the way..." Elizabeth said gloomily. "Well...It's not that he thinks you'd get in the way. It's just...Well...Captain cares a lot about you." Melascula stated, blushing slightly. Elizabeth's gaze perked up a little. "R...Really?" She stammered, clearly touched.
"Captain's not very good at showing his true feelings but the last thing he'd want is to put those he holds dear in harms way. It's admirable that you care so much for us as well that you want to help but...we care about you too." Melascula explained. Elizabeth listened closely. "I know I've been frustratingly timid with you but...I think you're really brave and caring enough as you are right now. In the forest, when one of my boys were kicked back, it really meant so much to me that you quickly went to help him. If he had died, I don't know what I would've done..."
Elizabeth began blushing, her heart personally gleaming. "Lady Elizabeth, I want to repay the favor and fight for you back...so don't worry about us, okay?" She said with a kind smile.
Elizabeth slowly started tearing up, with Melascula slowly following when she noticed. "Oh, please don't cry...You're gonna make me cry as well..." She weeped, wiping her eyes. "S...Sorry...Just...Thanks, Lady Melascula." She said, wiping her own eyes. "Hey...If you want, you really don't have to be formal with me. I really don't mind." Melascula said, smiling softly. "O...Ok, me as well! I'm perfectly happy with you just calling me Elizabeth and I'll be sure to tell Zeldris the same!" The two giggled. They enjoyed each other's company. They then heard the door open from behind, it was Zeldris. Fully dressed and ready for action.
"Good morning, you two. You ready, Mela?" He asked. "Absolutely." Melascula said, floating up. Elizabeth stood back up, smiling softly. Feeling much better about herself, she wanted to do anything she could. "Sir Zeldris? Is there anything you'd like me to do while you and Melascula are away?" Elizabeth said cheerfully. Zeldris felt her bubbly nature, something must've happened. "Just...make sure everything's clean and if we're running low on ingredients, just step into town. Be sure to hide your identity though!" Zeldris said, now smiling. "Understood!" Elizabeth nodded brightly. "Stay safe, okay?" Zeldris added conservatively. "I...I think she understands, Captain." Melascula stated, trying to calm her captain's worries. "I do. Don't worry about me, just make sure you and Melascula get back safely, ok?" Elizabeth asked simply. "Oh...You got it." Zeldris affirmed, waving goodbye to the two set off. The mission to break Estarossa out of prison had began!
Estarossa slowly made his way through the halls, starving intensely. "Ugh... At this rate, I'm gonna die in here." He muttered, before staring at the stairs right in front. "YES! FREEDOM!" He yelled, before running down the stairs like a child on Christmas morning. When he made it to the bottom, his joy was immediately shattered when he saw he wasn't anywhere near the exit. "Awwww..." He whined before he heard a faint "Who goes there?". Estarossa's head perked up with joy once more. "Oh thank goodness, I thought it was gonna die alone in here!" He yelled before noticing the many guards now rushing towards him. "...well, that works too." He muttered before running to fight them off.
