Many years ago in Brasov Transylvania, before there a was war, there was the simple life. Farming is what most of the civilians did, some kids even went out to help their families with farming. One young girl, Alina, was happily helping her mother and father with work but the girl stayed alert. It seemed like today was the day she would finally get peace, but suddenly her peace was gone when something hit her head.
"When will you grow up Cezar?" The annoyed girl asked wiping the unknown substance off of her head.
"Someone's got to make sure you eat your vegetables!" The boy said while smirking. "Lucky you have me by your side."
She was about to say something, but a bad smell was in the air, more importantly that smell was in her hair. Grabbing bits of the thrown item, Alina was horrified to see that she was hit by soft, spoiled, squash.
"You threw a rotten plant at me!"
"W-Wasn't it funny?" Cezar slowly backing away.
"IT'LL SHALL BE FUNNY WHEN I SQUASH YOU!" Alina said bolting at the boy.
As a chase between the kids happen, the parents of Alina continue to work and simply smile.
"To be young again." Both parents chuckled.
A couple of years passed, and soon the playful kids turned to a lovely couple of teenagers. They spent most of their time together either farming, walking through town together, and even reading strange books together. It was a good time, but recently Cezar became distant and Alina was worried. This heavy snow storm didn't help calm the girl's nerves either, but what really her uneasy was the depressing looks her parents had
"Have any of you seen Cezar?" Alina asked, while also eyeing the door. "Do you also know why that boy is acting so strange?"
The two parents looked at each other and back at their daughter and remained silent. They knew something but didn't tell her, the girl was getting ready to cry and that was a sight her father couldn't bear to witness.
"Okay fine!" The man finally caving in. "The boy's parents got sick and he tried his hardest to keep them well, but eventually they passed."
"Last time we saw him, he began drinking and became violent." Her mother informed her. "We thought it was best to give him some time to calm down."
Horrified by the news, Alina grabbed her coat and ventured outside. It was freezing cold and the blowing wind made it difficult to see, but she didn't care she had to find him. Heading towards his house, Alina continued on the path until something made her trip and fall. Looking back, the girl's annoyance quickly turned to despair when she saw tripped over Cezar.
"NO!" She screamed, running towards her fallen lover.
Touching and shaking his body and getting no response only meant one thing. Cezar was dead.
"What happened to being by my side?"
As she continued to be sad, a thought came to her mind. The books they read were strange but right now it was the only option she had, so hugging Cezar, Alina began to concentrate. A green aura surrounded them and soon both of their skin began to turn purple. When the aura was gone, Cezar slowly began to open his eyes.
"What happened?" Cezar asked, rubbing his head.
No answer was given, only a tight and warm hug by a very happy Alina. Still having no idea what happened, Cezar was still right in the mind to return the hug to his lover.
Present day
In the night, Cula and Kong Kong were walking down the hallway in the school. The jiangshi was thinking of the story Mr. Reaper told about him about his parents and how they became jiangshis. The boy was happy to know that they were a couple that stuck together through the worst of times, but what stuck out most in the story was the usage of the life force power. He wanted to learn how to use his power, and lucky for him his vampire friend was there to help.
"It was nice of Mr. Reaper to get you to help me."
"Technically this is also punishment for taking you guys up in the day time of school, no good deed goes unpunished." Cula sighed. "But no problem we're here to help."
"Yeah speaking of that, where is everyone?" Kong asked, looking in front and behind.
"Oh their just, NOW!"
That was the signal and it was time to act, Zizi came from a room and Kebi appeared from the window and in their hands were books. Thick dictionaries to be exact, and the pair began to beat their smallest member with them. Screams of pain and pleads to stop fell to death ears and a smiling Cula, who encoraged them to continue. When it felt like it was enough, Cula made them stop and looked at his fallen friend.
"Why?" The defeated child let out.
"Well to activate your power I thought your life needed to be in danger." Cula explained, looking at KK twitching body. "Looks like it didn't work."
"What do we do now Cula?" Zizi asked.
"We put him more danger, anyway where's Frankie?"
To answer him, the large monster came from the ceiling and landed belly first on Kong Kong.
"Did it work?" Frankie asked, looking up at his friends.
"No Frankie we're trying something new." The vampire told him.
"Frankie how did you get on the ceiling?" Kebi curiously asked.
TheAwesomeCoolJay: We may never know
Attempt number 2 took KK and Cula on the roof of the school, Kong sensed the red flags but fail to escape Cula's grip.
"I know you aren't planning on throwing me off?"
"Okay hear me out."
"You're crazy!" Kong responded, frantically tried to break free.
"A crazy genius!" Cula turning the insult into a compliment. "You're going to be fine, I got everyone to put something down there to cushion your fall."
"I'll get you back for this!"
"You probably will, good luck!"
Tossing him off the building, Kong braced for the soft landing that would happen. In his mind, time slowed down and his senses were at the max. At that moment he was able to feel the soft landing, he was safe. But soon his relief turned to horror when he felt his landing stretch. He was on the trampoline, and it made bounce and crash in the branches of a tree.
"Maybe pillows were a better option." The goblin nervously spoke.
They were about to check on their little buddy but paused when they saw the tree glow red for a moment. A large tree branch was sent flying up and the three monsters on the ground witness a buff but angry Kong Kong.
"THIS ISN'T HELPING!" He yelled, jumping past them and climbing up the school.
He was going for Cula, so the three monsters rushed back into the school to aid their friend. Making it to the top Kong got ready to inflict pain on the vampire, but paused when he saw something terrible. The branch he punched landed not only on the roof but on Cula as well, and the sight of the large piece of wood on his friend's back made KK revert back to his normal self.
"I won't lie to you, this really hurts." Cula weakly coughed out.
Rushing over to him, Kong tried his best to lift the branch, but it proved to be too heavy.
"I got the message, you want me to leaf you alone."
"S-Seriously, puns, right now?" Kong asked, still attempting to lift the branch.
"Just trying to ease the pain with jokes, while waiting for the others."
"You need this off you now then!"
Determined to help Cula, Kong Kong gave it his all to get the branch off of him. The vampire was about to protest against it, but stopped when he saw his little buddy's hands glow green. Kong was able to lift and toss the branch away, but he wasn't done yet, putting his hands on the Cula, Kong was able to heal some of the pain the vampire had.
"H-How you do that?" Cula asked.
"I don't know, I just wanted to help you." He replied, before remembering the story of his parents. "That's it!"
"What?"
"I have control of my power because I want to protect you!" KK beginning to explain. "Whenever I want to help the green can be seen."
"But when you're angry and we see red, that means we're all dead." Cula joining in on the rhyme. "Glad you're on our side."
"Always will be, sorry I couldn't heal all of you guess I used up all of the energy lifting the branch."
Kong was about to help him up, but suddenly he heard the footsteps of the others. Thinking about what he just went through, an evil idea and smile popped up to the jiangshi. Once they arrived, the gang were surprised to see that Kong Kong was back to normal.
"What we miss?" Kebi asked.
"I found out how my powers work and lifted that branch off of Cula, I healed him the best I can but I don't think it's enough." He told them, before looking at Cula. "I think he's going to need some TLC from all of us."
"W-What, no I'm fine let me just walk it-"
His attempt to stand up came to a halt when he heard his back pop, this restricted his movement. Zizi immediately went to his aid and picked up her crush.
"Okay he needs major TLC." She said holding him tightly. "Kebi you've helped Cula when he was feeling bad before, what do we need?"
"A blanket and tons of soup, don't worry buddy we're here for you!"
"And I'll give him a back massage." Frankie added.
Cula shuddered at the idea of the help he was going to get but was in position to object the hospitality. As he was taken away, Kong Kong could only chuckle at his friend's predicament.
"No good deed goes unpunished."
And that's the end, hope you all enjoyed! So that was the first of many parent stories, will there be more? Of course. Does all the change involve death probably, some might have different methods. But that's later lets talk about what's next.
Curiosity is just a Hana thing. Ever since that game of dodgeball, the girl cannot get those kids out of her head, she knows them. Right? Determined to get answers, the young girl follows her instincts and goes to the school at night. Will she be reunited with friends or be reintroduced to old enemies?
Haha, that's next time so right now I need you all to R.F.F. (Review Favorite Follow) PEACE!
