Chapter 15: Race Along the Rooftops

On the Island of Themyscira, inside the Royal Palace of Hera, in the Hall of Horrors…

Stunned silence was all that followed the Messenger of the Gods and the new Champion of Themyscira's sudden speedy departure from the formerly hidden Hall of Horrors as the Queen of the Greek Gods and her Amazonian worshippers stared vacantly at the doorway which the pair had exited through.

The quiet was only finally broken by the loud bark of Krypto as the white Wolfdog took off after his master and the God of Speed at a predatory pace, his furry tail disappearing out of the sight in no time at all.

"Well… that escalated quickly?" Epione asked aloud what every other woman in the hall was thinking at that moment.

"Hermes has a habit of doing that to people." Hera said in a rather mild tone of voice, turning to the island's head healer. "Believe me Epione, I know."

"My, the prince sure can move, can't he?" Iris said sounding rather stunned by what had just occurred before them.

"You have no idea Lady Iris." Phillippus said, the Amazon General was the only one who seemed wholly unsurprised by this unexpected turn of events. "I was the one who had to chase after him when he was going through that 'running away from his training phase."

"Regardless." Hippolyta said, stepping forward. "We need to find them and put a stop to this before-."

"No Hippolyta." Hera ordered abruptly. "Let the boy try."

At this unexpected order, every Amazon in the hall turned to face the Greek Goddess, their queen included. "Queen Hera?" Hippolyta asked hesitantly.

"I think this little game should prove an excellent first challenge for our young prince." Hera said smiling a cunning smile. "I wish to see if our new Champion is as good at catching annoying messengers, as he is at training wild dogs."

With that said, orders were given by the Greek Goddess to her Amazonian warriors to spread word to their sisters across the island to not interfere in the game between God and Demigod.

A game that was already afoot, quite literally in this case, whereas things high above however, were just getting started…

Meanwhile, atop Mount Olympus, in the Palace of the Sun…

Contrary to the popular belief of many mortals of both the ancient and the modern world, the Golden God Apollo did not rise with the sun of which he was the deity of.

No, in fact, it was well past midday when the Handsomest of all the Greek Gods finally rose from his deep slumber, being awoken by the sound of his own personal alarm clock going off right above his head, to the Olympian's eternal annoyance.

"Hey Apollo, wake up."

The Sun God groaned and turned in his sleep, trying to ignore the familiar voice as he desperately sought the land of pleasant dreams once again.

"Apollo, wake up."

The handsome musician rolled over and buried his face into his bed mate's lovely ebony mane, breathing in her perfume scent and trying desperately to fall back asleep as the squawking voice persisted in being annoying.

"Hey! Wake up you polygamist pretty boy!"

Finally forced into wakefulness, Apollo sat up in his massive bed and opened his orange eyes to the sight of a large crested bird of prey with fiery red feathers staring down at him from his palace's hanging banners with a rather perturbed expression on his hooked beaked face.

Apollo yawned and rubbed the sleep out of his glowing, orange eyes with the back of his hand as he finally addressed the flaming bird. "Alectryon, what have I told you about waking me up early?"

Alectryon the Phoenix cocked his feather crested head to the side to look outside before giving his immortal master and oldest friend a deadpan look. "Early? It's midday, Apollo."

Apollo just yawned again and laid back down, curling into his other mate's warm embrace and closing his eyes once more. "Yeah, that's still early to me, Alectryon and you know it."

"Yeah, well, rise and shine, anyway." The Sun God's bird best friend demanded. "Your Sun Steeds are getting impatient for their daily flight and your sister said if you don't get up and take them out soon, she'll start using your statues of yourself for target practice… again."

Orange eyes finally snapping fully awake, Apollo sat up with a groan as his Phoenix friend flew out of his palace squawking in laughter, while the Sun God finally decided that maybe it WAS time for him to get up, get out and face the day already.

The moment he did so, however, five sets of female hands grabbed hold of his gorgeous glowing form in an attempt to pull him back down to the bed with them, at this, Apollo just smiled and looked into the half open eyes of the five beautiful women currently curled up all around him, their gloriously naked forms completely on display for his eyes to enjoy.

Calliope, Ourania, Polymnia, Terpsichore and Melpomene, his ladies, his muses, quite literally, as the five women were in fact the group of miner Goddesses known throughout Ancient Greece and the Modern World as the Muses, who were always closely associated with Apollo himself throughout many of the mortal's myths about his Pantheon.

The mortals, however didn't know about ALL of the stories involving himself and this group of gorgeous Goddesses though.

Each of the near identical sisters was tall, curvaceously figured, tanned of skin, raven haired and divinely beautiful, in fact, only to those who did not know them well, their differing hairstyles were the only way to tell them apart.

Calliope, the oldest of the Muse Sisters smiled sleepily at him through her messy raven hair. "Come back to us safe and sound, my love."

Apollo smiled back at her. "Of course, my charming Calliope, please keep our bed warm along with the rest of your sisters until I return, my dear."

The eldest Muse sister smiled and closed her eyes as she finally let go of her beloved lord, her younger sisters following suit, allowing Apollo to finally stand up and carefully step over the resting Goddesses on his bed.

After showering, getting dressed and making himself a hot cup of coffee, Apollo finally stepped out of his palace and finally faced another divine day atop Mount Olympus, one that he had a feeling would be no different than any other day on Mount Olympus.

As Apollo sipped his hot beverage and stepped out into the light of day, it was clear to anyone that the God of the Sun had definitely earned his moniker as the handsomest male member of the Greek Pantheon, with long blonde hair, bronze tanned skin, golden eyes like the sun, Apollo stood out amongst the Olympian crowd even when he wasn't glowing with solar power.

More physically built than his partying half-brother Dionysus, but not nearly as muscular as his other soldier half-brother Ares, his physique was far more modelish than it was fighter, accessorized with golden armour and bronze war skirt with a shining silver cape, sporting a clean-cut face that looked like it had never grown hair, Apollo was the very definition of what his bird friend called a pretty boy.

After finishing his favourite beverage, Apollo made his way down to the mountain's stables where the Greek Gods kept their Olympian Equines and other smaller chariot creatures when not using them for transport, walking past all the statues of his uncle Poseidon riding different breeds of horses, both divine and mundane built along the steps as he did so.

Apollo couldn't help but roll his orange eyes as he passed them, okay uncle, we get it, you're the God of the Sea AND the God of Horses, please stop reminding everyone already.

Upon entering the stables, Apollo made sure to scoot past Ares bad tempered snorting Destroyah Destriers while taking the time to pet each of his twin sisters Crescent Doe's heads as he walked past them towards the stalls of his Sun Steed horses, Pyrois and Eous, a pair of truly magnificent, orange stallions with flaming manes and tail as well as golden glowing eyes just like their master.

"I'm back boys, did you miss me?" Apollo asked with a smile as warm as the sun towards his two favourite mounts, who both neighed loudly in happiness at the sight of him.

A few moments later, the young Greek God of the Sun erupted through the stables main entrance on his golden, flame emblazoned chariot being pulled by his pair of fiery horses in a bright burst of light that sent all the other immortals mounts into a cacophony of startled cries.

Laughing in joy, Apollo pulled on the reins of his Horses just as they reached the end of the stable's runway, causing his Sun Steeds to neigh and leap off the cliff and into the open air, before taking fiery flight and pulling their master's chariot into the sky behind them, just as they had done since the days of Ancient Greece.

Rising higher into the clouds and soaring further across the sky, Apollo simply took a moment to reveal in the feeling of freedom his steeds fiery flight gave him, the wind blowing through his magnificent golden hair, the clouds passing through his fingertips as he reached out to touch them, his uncle Poseidon's near endless ocean far beneath his feet, high above all the drama of the mortal world and away from all the pointless political nonsense of Mount Olympus.

He closed his eyes, up here, all alone, but for his marvellous mounts and beneath the light of his warm sun, Apollo felt free and happy, he felt… at peace.

"Well, look who, thanks to me, finally decided to get up." He heard an annoyingly familiar voice say right next to him and just like that, Apollo's peace was broken.

Opening his eyes in annoyance for the SECOND time this day, Apollo half-heartedly glared at the fire bird that was suddenly soaring alongside him.

"Don't you have anything better to do besides follow me around everywhere, Alectryon?" Apollo asked with a deadpan expression on his handsome face.

"Well, my Lord Apollo, God of the Sun, Prince of Prophecies, Master Musician and all around Badass with a Bow." The talking Phoenix began in an all to practiced tone. "As your best friend, roommate and personal assistant, no, sadly… I do not, besides, I wouldn't be doing my job as a divine familiar if I didn't follow you around everywhere, would I?"

Apollo smiled and rolled his eyes at his oldest friend's annoying, but still good-natured humour as the unlikely pair of immortals soared silently through the sky for a while, simply enjoying the bright sunny day and each other's company without the bickering of their fellow Olympians to interrupt them.

That is, until they flew over the Amazonian Island of Themyscira…

"Hey Apollo, looks like Hermes has gotten himself into trouble with the Amazons again." Alectryon said, using his bird of prey vision to clearly see what was happening on the island of warrior women far below them.

"Alectryon, my fine, feathered friend." Apollo began in the boredest tone of voice he could possibly manage. "Do you exist solely to just tell me things I'm already well aware of? I know Hermes has been sneaking around Themyscira for a while now, so of course, he has gotten himself into trouble with the Amazons again, my younger half-brother can't go anywhere without causing trouble of some sort."

"Well, yeah, obviously." The Phoenix agreed, while never taking his quite literal Eagle eyes off the events that Apollo could honestly care less about playing out below them. "But this time he's being… woah…"

The immortal bird's sudden pause took Apollo by surprise as the Sun God pulled back on his reins to slow his Horses soaring gallop to a hovering trot, his Phoenix friend was never usually at a lack of words to screech from that hooked beak of his. "What, what is it?"

This time however, Alectryon didn't respond to Apollo's question at all, only continuing to stare fixatedly at whatever had gotten his attention down on the island below, before declaring more to himself than to the young God soaring beside him. "Oh, I need to get a closer look at this."

"A closer look at what?" Apollo asked exasperatedly as his feathered friend suddenly flew straight down towards the island at burning speeds, leaving Apollo alone in the air once more. "Hey! Alectryon! Come back here you bird brain!" The Sun God yelled after the Phoenix who quickly flew out of range of his words.

Apollo growled in annoyance before realising he was finally alone with his beautiful sunny day again and sighed, closing his golden eyes in contentment, feeling at peace with the world once more...

…but then, less than a few seconds later, the Sun God's curiosity quickly got the better of him and with another annoyed growl, Apollo opened his eyes and looked down towards the part of the island he could just see Alectryon flying towards.

"Dam that Flaming Rooster roommate of mine." Apollo muttered irritably to himself as he whipped on the reins of his chariot's two Sun Steeds and steered them down in the direction of Themyscira, with a chorus of neighs, his fiery equines caught sight of their masters Phoenix friend and galloped after him at high speed…

…and speaking of speed.

Meanwhile, down below, atop the Royal Palace of Hera…

As Hermes ran around the palace that the Amazons had named after his most gracious queen, dashing down hallways, speeding through rooms and stepping around startled warrior women just going about their lives, one thought was racing through the God of Speed's cunning mind.

Dam, this kid is persistent.

Every time he had thought he had lost the boy, Hippolyta's Little Fallingstar would suddenly appear, seemingly out of nowhere, right back on his metaphorical tail like a Nemean Lion after an Actaeon Stag, doing a surprisingly good job of keeping pace with the much faster Olympian, with no sign of slowing down any time soon.

Hermes himself, was sincerely surprised for once and coming from him, that was saying a lot.

Even before the Fall of Ancient Greece, it had been a long time since anyone, and I mean anyone, mortal or immortal had dared to challenge him in a competition of speed, either by racing him or trying to catch him after naturally pissing his pursers off by playing one of his classic tricks on them.

But after the first few hundred humiliating defeats, most mundane, divine and semi divine beings had realised that trying to beat the God of Speed at his own running game was a pointless and futile endeavour.

Until now, until this spunky little Demigod Prince of Themyscira, the boy who had tamed the Hounds of Hades, earned the affections of the Dread Queen herself and somehow had managed to expose him spying on Hera and her Amazonian worshippers before stealing one of famous Winged Boots right of his feet.

Needless to say, the Master Trickster was more than a little impressed by this determined young Demigod short but still impressive list of achievements, but still, the boy would lose this friendly game they were having, just like all the others who had dared to challenge the Messenger of the Greek Gods.

Speaking of which…

"Should I slow down a little for you, kiddo?" Hermes asked while casually flipping one of his coins that had his face engraved on both sides of it in the air as he waited for the new Champion of Themyscira to finally join him on the palace roof where their little chase had led them to.

A few moments passed and Hermes heard no response from the way he had come, the Messenger God started to wonder if perhaps the boy had finally given up his pursuit or maybe he had lost him inside the palace.

Then the sound of roof tiles shifting under uneven feet reached his ears, the God of Speed stopped flipping his favourite coin up in the air and turned his tortoise helmet head to see the boy staring intensely down at him from a higher portion of the palace roof.

Kal glared down at Hermes whilst Hermes just grinned up at Kal.

"Go ahead kiddo." Hermes dared with a grin. "Take a leap of faith, why don't you?"

Kal bared his teeth in a savage growl as he leapt down towards Hermes like a Shadow Panther.

Hermes saw this and did not move from his spot; he just flipped his coin again in the air again, this time the circular piece of gold struck the boy in his face as he fell towards him, startled by the unexpected projectile, Kal faltered in his pounce and missed his target completely, landing awkwardly in front of the young Olympian with a pained groan

"Ah, ah, ah, nice try kid." Hermes said grinning as the boy picked himself off the ground slowly. "But you'll have to try harder than that to catch me."

Kal's glare returned in full force. "Thanks Hermes, I will." He snarled right before lunging at the annoy messenger mere feet away from him with another growl.

Still grinning, Hermes just stepped to the side and allowed the young prince to leap right past him.

"Close, kid, but not close enough." He said with his back now to the prince, not even bothering to face him this time but taking the time to pick up his coin off the ground in front of him.

Kal took note of this obvious sign of disrespect and growled even more savagely than before and then proceeded to lunge at Hermes unguarded back.

"To slow, kiddo." Hermes said as once sidestepped out of the way just in time to avoid the kid's tackle, causing Kal to once again miss his target completely and slam into the hard marble roof with another groan.

"Isn't this fun?" Hermes asked in his usual mocking tone while playfully flipping his coin back in the air again as he waited for the boy to pick himself

"Yes, yes, it is Hermes." Kal answered spitefully after finally pulling his face up from the flattening embrace of the palace roof. "At least, it will be for me in a second."

A second later, Kal jumped back to his feet, spun around and dashed towards Hermes, fists flying in well trained strikes at the annoying trickster.

After catching his coin, Hermes began backstepping across the roof as he moved out of the way of each of the boy's fierce swings, just remaining out of striking range every time as the pair moved across the palace roof.

"Oops, nope, not today, missed me, try again, Ooohhh, so close." Hermes said casually with a grin as he once evaded all of the boy's furious attacks with minimal effort on his part.

None of these annoying taunts discouraged Kal however, as he just kept on swinging and forcing Hermes back until the pair had reached the end of the palace roof.

"You've got nowhere to go now Hermes." Kal said with a more triumphant tone in his voice as he believed he had finally corned the Messenger God.

"Well kid, see, you say that, but…" Hermes, for once left the rest of sentence go unfinished as he casually backstepped off the roof and allowed his remaining winged boot's automatic hover function do the rest, as a shocked Kal had to stop himself from falling off the palace roof as he watched in dismay as Hermes hovered through the air to the adjacent roof with a pleased smirk.

"Didn't know about the hover function of my boots did you, kid!" Hermes shouted over to the boy as he yelled landed on the other roof. "You want to know what the best part is, I got them on sale too."

"If only your feet moved as fast as your mouth, Hermes!" Kal shouted back before judging the distance between the roofs, backing up a few feet and made the leap across almost effortlessly without the aid of his stolen hover boot.

At this admittedly impressive display of physical jumping ability, Hermes clapped his hands together in slow applause. "Nice jump kid, I'll give you points for effort." The Messenger God said pulling a large piece of white paper with a number ten displayed in big black font out of his satchel, he held out for Kal to see moments before promptly tearing it in half, turning the ten into a one. "But not a lot of them, I'm afraid."

"Keep talking Hermes." Kal said as he caught his breath. "But it's gonna take more than your fast tongue to save you from me when I catch you."

"Ooohhh, tough talk kiddo, I'm shaking in my boots." The young Greek God said mockingly, before quickly realising the plural nature of his usual taunt was actually incorrect for the first time in his immortal life, and he couldn't help but frown as he saw the boy causally tap his own booted foot in response.

"Don't you mean, shaking in your single boot, Hermes." Kal said, grinning mischievously.

So, this is what it feels like to be on the receiving end of a joke, Hermes thought to himself in a rare moment of self-reflection, strange, it's funnier when it is happening to someone else.

"Well, aren't you clever, kid." Hermes said sarcastically just as a brilliant idea popped into his head and he smirked. "In fact, your so clever kiddo, I think you deserve a reward for it." He then pulled out one of his stylised coins from pocket and he smiled at his own golden reflection in it.

"Here, an original Olympian Gold Coin, for you kid." Hermes said in a friendly enough tone as he flipped the golden piece of currency off his hand and through the air towards Kal who caught it almost on reflex, the trickster God watched with a small smile as the boy examined the overly large coin curiously.

Surprised by this unexpected gift, but not able to think of a real reason to reject it, Kal pocketed the coin before looking back at the Hermes with the same determined look he gave the Greek God back in the Hall of Horrors.

"Thanks, but don't think this little bribe is going to buy your way out of this, Hermes." Kal said as he began walk slowly towards the Messenger God. "I'm still going to make you pay for all those things you said to me, that is after I pull your remaining Winged Boot off your foot.

Hermes felt his eyes narrow in the mildest form of anger, now, as a legendary trickster and a regular giver of verbal barbs himself, Hermes prided himself on being able to shake off the jabs of others, as he knew with his unmatched speed, petty insults were the worst anyone could ever do to him.

But still, the idea of this kid thinking he could steal BOTH of his famous Winged Boots from him and beat him at his own running game was starting to fray on his good humour.

"I admit, you've been lucky in keeping pace with me so far, kiddo." Hermes said as his bright teal eyes formed into a hard glare "But I'm afraid your luck is about to run out."

The young Olympian then backflipped off the edge of the roof and down to the ground below, just as Kal made another unsuccessful lunge at him, grabbing nothing but empty air, growling in frustration, Kal looked over the edge of the roof to see Hermes waving up to him mockingly.

"I mean, honestly kid?" Hermes asked looking up at the new Champion of Themyscira with his usual playful expression back on his face. "Do really think you can ever catch me?" Then, the God of Speed spun around on his booted foot and took off into the jungle as fast as he could.

Actually Hermes, I do, Kal thought privately to himself as he watched the annoying trickster speed away from him once again, though instead of getting angry, this time, Kal just took a deep breath, activated the hover function of his single winged boot and descended down towards the ground.

Landing with a loud thud, the young prince immediately picked himself off the ground, glared in the direction Hermes had run off in and resumed the chase. Wolves are persistent predators after all.

As he ran after the Messenger God, Kal recalled a story Phillippus had told once after training, the Tale of the Giant Tortoise and the Jackalope Hare.

The two creatures of very different speeds wagered on a race between them to see who would win, the hare was faster, but was also too confident of his own victory and made foolish mistakes during the race, while the Tortoise was slower, but far steadier and more disciplined than his arrogant opponent.

In the end, it was the Tortoise who won the race and the Hare who lost.

Afterwards, Phillippus had asked him which animal he would rather be in life, the Tortoise or the Hare

He answered with neither, in this life he would rather be a Wolf, when she asked why, he told her because Wolves eat both Tortoises and Hares, their racing speed was an irrelevant factor.

He was not prey animal, he had told his teacher, he was predator, like his pet Wolfdog Krypto was, like his sister's Diana pet Nemean Lioness Rhamnusia was, and he hunted what he chose to hunt, this day… he chose to hunt a Olympian.

Finally catching up, Kal saw Hermes leaning casually against a tree and growled as the Messenger God smirked at him.

He was going to enjoy beating that smirk off Hermes face when he finally caught him, ever since he had begun his chase, Kal could feel some new power waking up inside his legs just asking to be unleashed, how exactly, he did not know, but the young prince knew it would happen soon, very soon in fact… at least, he hoped so…

Perhaps trying to beat the God of Speed was a foolish endeavour, but at least it gave him a convenient excuse to get away from the Hall of Horrors, to get away from Hera and his mother, to get away from his sister and the other older Amazons, to get away from that ominous staring statue of Hercules and his destiny to one day face him in battle.

A destiny he wanted to run away from.

Not truly and not forever either, he just… needed to get away from it all for a moment and Hermes, as annoying as his taunting was to him, gave Kal the perfect way out.

But more importantly now, he needed to win this little game of theirs now, it wasn't just about teaching Hermes a lesson for mocking him or defending his mother's honour anymore, in truth, it had never really been about either of those things.

He need to win this game and beat Hermes, because… if the Son of Hippolyta couldn't beat the weakest Son of Zeus at his own game, how could he hope to stand against the strongest Son of Zeus when the time came for them to meet?

Greetings to all my fellow fanfic readers and writers, I hope you all enjoyed Superman, Son of Hippolyta Chapter 15: Race Along the Rooftops, which introduces another Greek God into the story as well as a talking Phoenix and sets up the re-emergence of one of Kal's speedier super powers, hopefully Hermes humour made you all laugh a bit, its surprisingly challenging to write good comedy in a series story, tip your comedians guys, if they make you laugh, than they deserve it.

Anyway, like with Hera and Hermes before, the design for Apollo in this story is taken directly from the excellent Netflix series Blood of Zeus, which you should definitely check out if you haven't already…

… as for the design of Alectryon the talking Phoenix though, think of Fawkes Dumbledore's pet Phoenix from the Harry Potter movies for his appearance, as for his name, if you look up Alectryon in Greek Mythology, you'll understand why I chose that particular name for this new character, there are a few meta jokes about it in this chapter as he often involved with roosters and waking people up.

Now onto answering some more fan questions from all of you guys…

1. CrazyCaz, thanks, writing siblings is not something I've done before, though Diana and Kal's brother and sister relationship might change once the truth is out…

2. Guest, no, Kal is not handicapped by the Kryptonite in his bands, its properties are different in this story, he can be harmed by it though as those bands basically act as shock collars.

3. evolution-500, thanks, I wanted Kal's first Olympian opponent to be an easier one and Hermes made the most sense, still working on my punctuation problem I'm afraid, but well get there in time.

4. Erika Lopes, I know it's sad and it will get even worse when Kal does find out the truth, but if your feeling for the characters in this story, it just means I'm doing a good job as a writer, I want you, my readers to laugh, cry, smile and unfortunately even feel horrified at times when reading this series, that's the sign of great storytelling and yes, don't we all wish we had a dog like Krypto who can perform well trained tricks on command, like stealing people's divine shoes right off their feet.

5. ManOfSteel, Yes, I wanted to give Kal and small victory before the real race began and yeah, the repercussions for all this deceit will be more than any of the Amazons or the Greek Gods could ever imagine.

6. Artimuos Sen, to put it simply, no, no they would not, namely because it would be considered an act of war for a foreign deity to step onto Olympian soil and breed with one of their worshippers, a queen no less, as far as Greek Gods are concerned, Kal's father is probably just some random Demigod, also, don't expect to see any members of other Pantheons to show up in this story like the Norse for example, this DC, not Marvel.

7. SuperWonderStan, great to have back reviewing this story mate, know I can't reveal to much about what will happen in the future, but Kal and Diana's relationship will change as they get older, that said we are still a long way from the events of the prologue, but I hope you'll enjoy the journey to it, my friend, as for Diana and Kal's dearly departed older brother however, well… all will be revealed in time… but, I can tell you this right now, he wasn't a sacrifice…

8. Daka, fair point, but its not just about speed and experience, it's also about determination and discipline, as the age-old story of the Tortoise and the Hare has taught us, being faster doesn't always mean your going to win the race.

9. Yeye anaawangazia, because of the long length of your review, which I loved by the way, I've split my response to into separate parts below, I hope these answers satisfy you.

10. No, when Kal finds outs, he's been lied to all this time, he will not be very happy with either of them, but that terrible truth won't be revealed for very a long time, not until after he and Hercules have their defining duel or duels first, it will be a very emotional moment though, get your tissues ready.

11. Know to be fair to Hippolyta here, she does not know Kal comes from another world, as far as she knows he's just a different kind of Demigod, Hera does know, but she doesn't know exactly which one and neither of them of Kal's connection to the sun yet, though Kal's powers in this version are innate in him, not something he gets from the Earth's sun, it does still empower him energy wise however and gives him greater strength when he needs it.

12. As for how Diana will react when she finds out the truth about her mother's deception, well, you'll just have to wait and see on that one mate…

13. Hermes for all his knowledge and spying abilities, does not know Kal's true origins either, as for triggering Kal's powers, well, he will cause one to come out, I think you can guess which one.

14. Kal will not discover his true heritage until after he find out the truth about his past, those two things kind of coincide with each other, right now and foreseeable future though, Kal is the Son of Hippolyta, Prince of the Amazons and Champion of Themyscira.

15. Thank you for your kind complement in thinking this story deserves to be made into an actual comic, I'm sincerely flattered by that sentiment, I also appreciate your patience with the upload rate of chapters, it does take time for me to make them the best they can be, but rest assured, no matter how long it takes, this story is getting finished.

16. Also, please let me know when your own Superman raised on Themyscira story is, I'd love to read it.
