Jing Yuan laid in his bed, still while the silk sheets covered his body. It was the middle of the night and Jing Yuan was tired, but he couldn't fall asleep. He didn't know why. He just laid there, his golden eyes fixed on the ceiling. His hands reached up to rub them, but he was cut off by a forceful opening of his rooms' door. Jing Yuan sat up quickly, looking over to the doorway to see what was happening.

The figure standing in the doorway was familiar, but he couldn't quite make out who it was. The person stumbled into the room, forgetting to close the door behind them. They flopped down onto Jing Yuan's bed and groaned once their head hit the pillow.

It was Blade, or Ren as Jing Yuan called him.

"Ren, are you alright?" Jing Yuan asked, leaning down to blades face. All he got in return was a deep grunt from the man beside him.

Blade propped himself up on his elbows. "Those kids in the astral express sure know how to pack a punch.." He started, rolling onto his side.

"I've seen them battle mara creatures many times, and yes. They do," Jing Yuan chuckled, kissing Blade's cheek. "You're still in your day clothes, Ren. Don't you want to change?"

"Eh, sure." Blade agreed, beginning to sit up.

"Do you need help dressing any wounds?" Jing Yuan questioned.

"Probably.." Blade stood up, beginning to walk toward the bathroom.

Blade stepped into the bathroom after ridding himself of his coat and shirt, beginning to look over the various bruises and cuts he had gotten from his fight with the astral express. Jing Yuan followed him in, standing behind him.

"They busted you up pretty bad, huh?" Jing Yuan stated, a smirk growing on his face. He wrapped his arms around Blade's waist, his chin resting on the man's shoulder.

Blade's grip on the counter top tightened. "Oh, shut up.." He groaned, reaching for the bandages in the sink drawer. Blade let Jing Yuan wrap around him in such a way, but only because he knew for a fact that Jing Yuan's love language was physical touch, despite the fact that he would never admit it.

Blade was stubborn, yes, but that facade melted away when he was with Jing Yuan. He still acted like an angsty teenager, but he let himself be comfortable.

"Would you like help?" Jing Yuan asked.

"I'm not gonna be able to do this myself, so of course." Blade grumbled, turning around so he could sit on the counter.

Jing Yuan grabbed the bottle of antibiotic that stayed on the counter specifically for times like this. He put some on a cotton ball and started to rub it over one of the cuts on Blade's arm.

Blade didn't flinch despite the burning sensation that he felt. He had been through worse pain than a simple antibiotic. He leaned back against the wall, closing his eyes and letting his boyfriend take care of him.

After cleaning each cut, Jing Yuan wrapped the bandage around his arm. Blade's arms were where all of the cuts were, and his torso was mostly just bruised.

The two men were completely silent, because there was nothing to talk about. Nothing exciting happened today for Jing Yuan, and Blade doesn't like to talk. Jing Yuan simply worked on bandaging blade.

Jing Yuan bandaged the last cut and put Blade's arms down. "There we go," He hummed, stepping closer to Blade. "All fixed."

Blade opened his eyes and looked down at Jing Yuan from the counter.

"You look like you're gonna kill me." He stated.

Jing Yuan gasped in fake shock. "I would never!" He chuckled, leaning in to kiss Blade's cheek.

Blade's hand went to the back of Jing Yuan's neck, pulling him closer.

"Oh~?" Jing Yuan teased, a smirk growing on his face.

"Shush," Blade mumbled, shifting on the counter. "We need to bandage my torso and you're not letting me get off the counter."

"Fair point." Jing Yuan chuckled, stepping back so Blade could get off the counter.

Once Blade was off the counter, Jing Yuan resumed wrapping the bandage around his body. Blade leaned against the counter, his hands holding on to the edge. He watched as Jing Yuan's calloused hands moved in a rhythm to bandage his torso.

Occasionally, Jing Yuan would stop to kiss Blade, which he didn't mind. The random intervals and staggered kisses helped Blade through this process.

He had never liked dressing wounds because he always had to do it himself. The struggle Blade went through to wrap his torso was unbearable with the pain he had gone through in the process. Now that Jing Yuan was here, It was so. Much. Easier. Blade didn't have to contort himself to reach certain areas of his body. He could relax instead of having to strain himself. It was soothing.

Jing Yuan tied the last piece of the gauze together, stepping back to let Blade stretch. "All finished." He stated, crossing his arms and smirking.

Blade stepped forward to Jing Yuan. "You're so good to me." He said, pulling Jing Yuan in by the waist.

"So this is what's happening now?" Jing Yuan chuckled, letting himself be pulled to Blade. "Ren, I'm not sure you're in shape to engage in such activity~"

"Forgive me for wanting to be close to my boyfriend.." Blade trailed off. His forehead rested on Jing Yuan's shoulder.

"Aww….." Jing Yuan hummed. "Are you feeling cuddly?"

"Shut up.." Blade grumbled against Jing Yuan's shoulder.

"Do you want to go back to bed, Ren?" Jing Yuan questioned, rubbing Blade's back.

"...Yeah." Blade answered.

Jing Yuan took this as permission to pick up his boyfriend and carry him back to bed. Once the two men were laid in bed, Blade snuggled close to Jing Yuan. He had never really been the snuggly type, but he needed the cuddles today. Jing Yuan ran his fingers through Blade's hair, humming an ancient Xianzhou tune.

Such humming calmed Blade. He let himself sink into the sheets a little more.

About four hours passed before Blade woke up again. The sun shone through the curtains, blinding him and causing him to squint his eyes. When Blade reached over to see if Jing Yuan was still in bed, his hands felt something fluffy. Lying next to him was Jing Yuan's pet lion, Mimi.

Blade groaned, rolling back over onto his back. He placed a hand over his eyes in an attempt to block out the sun.

The door of the room opened, presenting the general in the doorway. Jing Yuan chuckled at the site of the grumpy stellaron hunter in his bed. He walked over and sat down on the edge of the bed next to Blade.

"Are you still tired, Ren?" He asked, his melodic voice a nice welcome to the morning.

"Mhm," Blade hummed. He pulled himself into Jing Yuan's lap, his head laying on one of Jing Yuan's thighs. "Didn't you say that Mimi couldn't be in the bed?"

"I'm letting it slide for today." Jing Yuan stated, his fingers running through Blade's hair. He let Blade lay in his lap so he could admire the beautiful man he got to call his own. After a few minutes he spoke again.

"I have to go to work, ren." He said gently. This statement elicited a groan from Blade.

"No….." Blade mumbled, his arms tightening around Jing Yuan's waist. His face nuzzled into Jing Yuan's stomach as he attempted to get him to stay.

"Aww~" Jing Yuan hummed, looking down at Blade with adoration. His hands brushed back Blade's bangs, revealing his forehead. Jing Yuan leaned down, cupping Blade's cheeks in his hands and placing a kiss on his forehead.

"Hmmph.." Blade grunts, his eyes shut tight. His cheeks are squished between Jing Yuan's hands, but he's too tired to do anything about it.

Jing Yuan chuckles, "Can I go to work now?"

Blade rolls off of Jing Yuan's lap. "I guess so."

"Thank you, Ren,"
