Hey friends! This is a story about Myles, Sophie, and Lexi, from the Netflix Film, A Castle For Christmas. Sadly, there isn't a fandom category for it on here (but there is on Ao3), but I just had to write a story based on it. This is definitely AU.

Disclaimer: I don't own a darn thing relating to the rights of the film. All that I own is the need for a sequel, the need/want to meet Cary Elwes and Brooke Shields because I think that they are gorgeous and talented people (aka two of my celebrity crushes). Also, I own the fear of using too many commas... oops? As always, there will be no set update schedule. I write when inspiration strikes.

Daddy. That is something Myles never expected to be in his 42 years on Earth. Sure, he and his first wife tried to have kids, but then she left him after being unable to bear him children. Then, a year or so after they were divorced, she remarried and had ended up giving birth to a healthy baby boy. The sad thing about the situation was that he longed for a child of his own but after the divorce, he had all but given up on the idea of a family to call his own.

Lover. Another thing he never expected to have. Well, at least not after the divorce. However when Sophie Brown, nee McGuinty showed up with her precocious little daughter, that all changed. Although it took him a while to tell her how he felt, he was thankful that she felt the same way he did. After Myles and Sophie confessed that they loved each other, it was like he was slowly but surely getting the family that he always wanted. A fresh start is what it felt like.

It was kind of absurd how everything had started, really. It was a Friday afternoon when he was getting ready to fix the broken window of the pub, and saw little Lexi chasing a ball as she kicked at it, her mother nowhere to be found. After Myles had watched her play happily by herself, she suddenly plopped down on the grass and was clutching her arm and sobbing. As soon as he saw her start to cry, he immediately sprung into action and sprinted over to where she was sat.

"Are you alright little lass?"

"I fink da bug gotted me," she hiccuped.

Myles gestured towards Lexi's arm, "Can I have a wee look?"

She nodded her head as she slowly moved her arm so he could look it over. A small patch of her arm was an angry red color and seemed to be swollen. That meant that she was more than likely allergic to whatever it was that stung her. Thank gods he had the foresight to always keep an epi-pen in the glove box in case he got stung by a bee. Judging by how the girl was just beginning to breathe heavily, she was in dire need of his epi-pen.

"I am going to grab something from my truck, will you be alright by yourself?"

Another nod was all that Lexi could manage. Her being by herself worried him. Where on earth was her mother? Quickly, he grabbed the life saving pen from his truck and raced over to her.

"This is a magic pen," he showed her the epi-pen carefully. "What it does is make the puffiness go away and it will make you feel much, much better."

"Oh... Ohtay. It gonna poke me?"

"Aye. It will be as fast as lightning," he explained as he positioned the pen at her thigh and got ready to administer the medicine that Lexi needed.

Just as Myles pushed the release button on the epi-pen, he heard a loud shout.

"GET AWAY FROM MY DAUGHTER!"

A short first chapter, but I do hope that you like it nonetheless. Be a peach... leave a review?
