It did, indeed, take 2 years' worth of training before Jak was given the dream at about 2 in the morning, which he proceeded to steal the remote to Keira's wall switching so that our rooms would combine again. Keira slept right through it, but I did not.

"H-Hey! What are ya doin', creeps?" I asked them at a hushed volume, Jak shushing me and signing for me as I illuminated the place slightly with a bit of stashed blue eco, which I'd been training how to use each type of it aside from light and dark. The former because Samos didn't know about it and the latter because who knew what would happen should I try and use it. And for those of you wondering about what I slept in, I was wearing some custom clothes made by Keira, which gave me a small shirt that showed off my bellybutton and a flexible pair of jeans made from some Lurker sharkfin, which made fabric that was not only durable, but flexible. It was perfect for my training, which, when Samos wasn't training me in Eco and cleaning his damn house, I was practicing Lurker bashing in Sentinel Beach, as they frequented there even as far back as one year prior to the events.

"We're going to sneak out to Misty Island. Follow us," Jak signed, me nodding as I followed him and Daxter out of the hut, but I did swipe the remote, take it to Keira's side, and made the rooms separated again. This way, she wouldn't think they snuck in at night. Last thing Keira needed to know was that Jak and Dax were watching her sleep... mainly because she did so in her undies.

After escaping via the escape hatch, I met up with the duo by the speedboat, me seeing the keys for it were already in it and that the fisherman was dead asleep.

"So what are we going to do again?" Daxter asked, me shushing the little troublemaker as we turned on the boat and headed out to sea towards the island of darkness, him getting seasick along the way before falling in the water, which we got him out of before a Lurker Shark could sniff him out. And good thing, too, because after getting to know the little guy BEFORE he became an even littler little guy, he was actually a very respectable boyfriend that I found kinship in... and he wasn't 13, he was actually 16 when we first met, just short like me. And that meant he was now 18 and he was willing to be my boyfriend, since we had things in common.

"Hey! Uh, guys? Ol' Green Stuff told us not to come here!" Daxter said with concern as we heard some stuff going on to the west of the island, us going over there and staying quiet as we saw an entire army of Lurkers on the island with them then being spoken to by Gol and Maia.

"Continue your search for Precursor Artifacts! Ahh... If anyone tries to stop you, you know what to do!" Gol said, him gasping partway through his sentence as before, me wondering if it had to do with his Dark Eco exposure.

"Deal harshly with ANYONE who strays from the village! We will attack it when the week is done!" Maia said, me gawking at that. Different statement from the game, but that did mean that, in total, we only had a grand total of 7 days including today before the village was at risk, as it was Sunday morning as of right now! And after this, we then slowly walked away, us going towards the east and seeing the area to the dark eco vat was open, us going there as Daxter complained.

"What are we doin' here anyways, guys? This place gives me the creeps!" Daxter said, me frowning at that.

"I'm more pressed at what those two creeps said. They said they're trying to find Precursor artifacts and that the village will be attacked at the end of the week," I frowned before daxter tripped over an artifact, Jak snickering at it as Daxter groaned.

"Ugh, stupid Precursor junk!" he groaned as we saw the Dark Eco... and being near the stuff even was enough for me to hear... things.

"Let the hate... consume you..." I heard the voice of the Dark Eco say, me frowning at that.

"Ick! What is that dark ooze? It sure don't look friendly!" Daxter said as he then tried to rub off the dust on the artifact. "The sage yaps on and on about this stuff all the time! 'Where did they go? Why did they build this crap?' Now I love Power Cells and Precursor Orbs as much as the next guy, but if ya ask me, they must've been real losers," Daxter said as Jak held the artifact and it suddenly gained its red hue, which Daxter gawked at. "Whoa! How'd ya do that?!"

And then, the Lurker appeared, which he started his rampage by slamming his boney club into my side, me getting the wind knocked out of me in the process.

"Jak, Dora, I think we're in trouble!" Daxter shouted, me gasping as the Dark Eco tried to tell me to use it.

"Use us.. destroy the enemy," the eco said, me not listening... at first... but after the first Lurker had appeared and after Jak blew it up and Daxter fell in... and popped back out as an Ottsel, I gawked at how we were getting surrounded by at least 6 more Lurkers! No Gol and Maia, though, thank God!

"Man that... s-stung..." Dax gawked as he looked around, me then looking at the duo with seriousness.

"Guys, stay down, and Dax, don't look at yourself right now... I need to defeat these guys and get us back to the mainland... but this may hurt," I said, them looking at me in confusion, but Dax going to Jak's body as I then proceeded to do something... dangerous. I proceeded to use the powers of the Dark Eco in the giant vat, me sending it out of the vat and sending a stream of it at the enemies, which resulted in all of them being reduced to ashes, me sighing afterwards as I actually managed to get rid of ALL of the Dark Eco in the vat by doing so. And after doing so, Daxter then saw his hand and was about to scream before I shushed him.

"SHHH! We need to get out of here before the Lurkers come back," I said to him, Daxter gulping and nodding as we rushed as fast as we could off of the island, us managing to make it back to the mainland by the time it reached 5 in the morning, which is when Samos usually entered meditation after waking up.

"What the heck happened to me?! And how were you able to use that dark stuff so effortlessly?! How come I'm 2 feet tall?! WHERE DID MY PANTS GO?!" Daxter shouted, his voice managing to wake the rest of the village, which I saw it didn't include the fisherman... that is, until we turned off his boat, which we then hid from the guy under the dock, as it was still in the shallows and away from the Lurker Sharks. But we could see them circling further down the waters.

"Peh! Rotten kids, stealing my boat after hours... gotta stop leavin' the keys in it," he groaned as he then took the keys and proceeded off to the Forbidden Jungle.

"Okay, nice work Daxter, the entire town's awake now... let's just get to the hut and ask Samos to fix this," I said, him nodding as we then did so and, upon a single step into the hut, he noticed us.

"WHAT IN GREEN ECO'S NAME DO YOU THREE WANT?!" Samos asked us, me frowning at how Daxter was about to explain himself and Samos then groaned. "Don't tell me! Instead of listening to my sagely wisdom, the three of you went mucking around in the ONLY place I told you not to go: Misty Island!" he growled, me then speaking.

"JUST LET ME EXPLAIN, OKAY?!" I shouted, him then gasping at that. After all, I'd never raised my voice to him prior, even though he did make me do house chores and called it 'training'. "See, I had this dream where I was contacted by these freaky figments, each of them a different color. And they claimed to be Precursors," I said, telling the truth to him, before I then started to lie. "And after this dream, I then saw that something bad would happen on Misty Island, so they asked me to investigate with Jak. We took Daxter with us for safety in numbers and, when we got there, we saw a gigantic crowd of Lurkers, them being in a meeting with two freaky looking... um... crud, I've been living with you guys for 2 years now, and I still don't know if you're classified as human, elf, or something else," I frowned.

"We're elvines, thank you very much," Samos frowned.

"Anyways, there were two elvines that were speaking to them, saying that they'd send an attack at this village in only 7 days, at the end of this current week. And after we explored for a bit more to find out more, we got attacked by a Lurker, and during the scuffle, Daxter fell into a giant pool of Eco that... well, when I was near it, it felt as if it was commanding me to use it," I said.

"You better not have! That mucky essence was Dark Eco! It must've changed Daxter's appearance after he took a much-needed bath in it," Samos frowned.

"LOOK OLD MAN! Are you both gonna keep yapping or are ya gonna help me outta this mess?!" Daxter shouted, me frowning at him as I picked him up by his fat tail.

"I'm gonna keep yapping, since you lumped me in with Samos as 'old man' material, honey," I smirked at him as I booped him on the nose. "Anyways, after that happened, the blast from the scuffle caused a group of Lurkers to attack, which is when I found out that I was able to command the Dark Eco as if I were sending water through the air, which I used to coat all the Lurkers we came across, annihilating both them and the dark goo at the same time by coating them in it," I said, Samos frowning at that.

"That was a very dangerous stunt and you should know better than to... wait... Dark Eco was on Misty Island?!" he asked, me frowning at that.

"Yes, and it seemed to be in some weird tub of sorts, protected by some Precursor doors. I have reason to believe that the leaders of the Lurkers are hoping to use Dark Eco for something dastardly, but what is uncertain... obviously they aim to have it finished by the end of the week, so they can attack the village," I frowned.

"Well, then we're just going to have to figure that out, but we don't have very many options, especially since we can't really help Daxter if we wanted to," Samos frowned.

"WWWHHHHAAAATTT?!" the little orange guy shouted.

"There's only one person who has studied Dark Eco for long enough to have a chance to return you to your original form. Gol Acheron, the Dark Eco Sage! But he lives to the north. Far, far to the north. Nobody has been able to contact him for ages... I would teleport you there, but I can't do that either. None of the other sages that maintain the other gates have seemed fit to turn their ends on for quite awhile!" Samos frowned as he pointed to the warp gate. "The only way to get there is by moving on foot to the other Sage huts and activating them manually. But the way between Sandover and the Rock Village, where the Blue Sage's lab is, has a path lined with fire and brimstone, the Fire Canyon. The rocks there can melt your flesh from your very bones. You can't just walk through it!" Samos frowned before Keira spoke up from the door.

"But you CAN fly over it! If you had a zoomer equipped with a heat shield!" she said, Daxter not eye goggling her at this size, since both he and I had been in a relationship for quite a bit, about 2 months' worth. And I simply placed him on my shoulder as Keira walked through... Jak, however, did look at her sashaying as she waltzed in. "I just need a total of 20 Power Cells in order to get the heat shield fully operational, isn't that right, daddy?" Keira asked, which Samos frowned.

"Yes, Keira, that might work... but where are a boy, a girl, and an Ottsel going to get 20 Power Cells?!" Samos asked as he slapped his stick against Daxter, and ended up hitting my head at the same time, me grabbing the stick and throwing it to the other side of the room for that.

"Nevah. Hit a girl," I frowned at him.

"Heehee. Well, you could get them from the villagers. Most of them have a Power Cell or two hidden away, and I'm sure you could get them by doing favors for them. And if they aren't willing to give them away for favors, greasing their palms with Precursor Orbs should do the trick. And I bet there are even more out there, just waiting for some brave adventurer to find," Keira smirked while giving flirty eyes to Jak.

"Well, we have the Brave Adventurers at least," Daxter smirked as he pointed to me and him, which I smirked at him.

"Nice try, it'll take three bits of kissing up to get rid of the old man comment, Dax," I smirked at him.

"Brave adventurer?! You three wouldn't last ten minutes out of the village without proper training!" Samos said, me frowning at him. "Before you do ANYTHING else, you better take the warp gate and get some training in at Geyser Rock."

"Uh, we won't find any of that Dark gooey eco stuff will we? Because I'd hate to fall in again and turn into you!" Daxter backtalked him.

"GET IN THERE! Before I turn you into ferns!" Samos said, me immediately jumping in, as ladies first, and then Jak soon followed after... and Daxter managed to stay on my shoulder the whole time. And when going through, I saw why Samos didn't like it that much, since my face fell into the sand upon doing so and I spat out some of it... as well as a starfish.

"Bleck... horrid taste," I gagged afterwards.

"Well, we're here now, so let's get to work," Daxter said as he tried to help clean the sand off of my face, but stopping before going to my chest.

"Might as well, Dax. Can't really stop you when you look so cute," I said, him smirking as he then dusted the sand off of my chest, but not really playing with them, just getting the sand off. And Jak snickered behind me, which I looked at him with the stinkeye smirk.

"I thought you said he had to kiss up 3 times?" he signed to me.

"He deserved it when he did three things. When he called me a brave adventurer, giving Samos that mouthoff, and for not immediately going in to touch my boobs," I smirked slyly.

"I mean, it's a double-edged sword for now. I'm smaller and could probably fit in between, but on the other side, that'd look super weird and I could get pounded by pretty much everyone now," Daxter admitted.

"Really, now? Maybe want to reword that, hon?" I asked, which made Daxter blush red and for him to immediately hop onto my shoulder after. "I thought so. Don't worry, I'm just playin'," I smirked at him as we then had a good laugh before then getting to work on finding Precursor Orbs, Power Cells, and Scout Flies on the geyser coated island.
