"My lord, I'm sorry but the husband and wife are here.." the assassin/daughter said.
"HARK! Don't address them like that! And WHAT DO YOU MEAN THEY'RE HERE? DIDN'T YOU KILL THEM? " He roared.
"No but-"
He threw a shield towards her. She dodged it quickly.
"-I brought you the Botticelli Dagger, sir!" She said.
"Oh..Excellent!" He said rubbing his palms together.
"She went this way!" I said.
We ran inside the cave through the corridors. I was still hurt from the dead-ass punch from that assassin. Wait till I get-
WHROOOM!
That's when I heard the strange sound. It was coming from upstairs above the steps.
"The dagger..He is merging it with the Kane dagger." I said sensing the presence of both the daggers.
"We have to go before he spilt himself!" Konohamaru said.
We ran up the stairs and reached a balcony. What we saw shocked our eyes.
In the middle of the room was a light sea-green crystal glowing sphere with the daggers almost ending up into merging as one.
"Now..the two governments shall be mine!" He said reaching for the newly conjoined dagger.
Konohamaru ran behind him to lock his arms and I reached for the dagger. But as soon as the dagger was in mine, the female assassin striked me from behind.
THWACK!
"Argh..I'M GONNA GET YOU, YOU SON OF A JERK!" I shouted.
And I went towards the assassin in robes. I used palms of Maiden's fury where white fire blazed in my hands. I punched him but he dodged my punches. I send flames of Maiden's fury at his direction, but the flames couldn't engulf them signalling the fact to me finally that the assassin was possibly a female.
"A lady assassin.." I mumbled.
I noticed that SHE bore the emblem of Spades underneath her robes that was left unhidden for the world to see.
"You are from Spades..Who are you and what business do you have with Balthazar?" I questioned angrily.
The assassin continued to attack me. But I whacked her head with the tip of my scythe and she fell on the floor. I aimed the blade towards her and unveiled her robe.
"...Stenivia? But how-" I exclaimed.
"..Hello Lady Pristine."
"What are you doing away from your Queen?" I questioned her again.
"I'm sorry to tell you but I'm Balthazar's daughter. I was send to Spades to spy on Queen Makaria's activities."
"Wait. Madame Helena had a child? That's so wonderful! She always wanted to have a child of her own!"
"My father has ordered me to capture you. I'm sorry but you have to comply."
"But why should you listen to what your father says? You're you. You have no idea what kind of a man your father is. He treats women badly! Even when he was married to your mother.. Oh! Your mother was my kind superior. You should follow her footsteps! Not his!" I protested against her.
"I don't have a choice..I must win his approval. He raised me to be who I am. I owe it to him." She said.
"Your nurture doesn't determine how you should decide on things. It's what you choose to do now that determines your life. Your father may have raised you. Fed you and clothed you. But what he taught or teaches and how he acts is unethical and you're old enough to unfollow that. Stenivia..This is not the end. You could be better. I see remnants of your mother's kindness in you even if HE is your father. Think my dear.." I advised.
"...I don't know. I-"
"STENIVIA! WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR? GET THE DAGGER FROM HER AND CAPTURE HER!" Balthazar shouted.
Stenivia looked between Balthazar and me. She stood clueless and froze in conflict.
"FINE! I'll do it myself!" said a different voice from Balthazar.
And he stole a kunai from Konohamaru and stabbed Stenivia's back.
