Chapter 3: Way Past Cool:
Sonic's POV:
So, while Uncle Chuck was hanging with Dr. Kintobor, I was trying to make some friends. Too bad I can't show them my awesome power. Oh well. I then walked over to this rabbit and this coyote. "Hey, name's Sonic," I said, "watch this!" I then stuffed an entire chili dog in my mouth.
"Oh... well... that's... uhm... that is darn tootin'... uhm..."
"Zat ees ze mahst deesgusteeng sing I hahve evair seen!"
"I'm just gonna walk away now," I said.

I then tried to show off to this cat, this walrus, and this badger. I showed them my air guitar skills.
"Ooh, you're taking care of a baby," says the cat.
"It's not charades," I said.
"He's doing a mime trick," says the walrus.
"It's not that either," I said.
"Whatever it is," says the badger, "I don't trust it! I'm watching you!" They then left.

I then tried to impress the crocodile with my dance moves. "I don't really care that much for dancing," says the crocodile.

I was walking, but then I saw the princess and I was about to run to her, but I remembered that I'm not supposed to run, so I just walked over to her, but I then grabbed a soda and as I walked, I tripped and spilt soda all over her. "Oops."
The Princess was angry, and she walked away.

I was sitting alone. "It's because you tried too hard."
"Huhh," I asked.
"You were trying too hard to look cool, when all you really needed was to be yourself and don't worry, the Princess doesn't hate you, you were just being gross and clumsy. She loves all living things and that's why she didn't like your uncle's turning people to robots thing and yes, I was there at the meeting. Oh, I'm Amy Rose by the way."
"Sonic," I said, "so, were you spying on me?"
"Yes," says Amy, "I tend to stalk people to see if they're potential friends. If you want, I could be your first friend. What do you say?"
"Sure," I said.
"Great," says Amy, "and don't worry, I'm sure the others will warm up to you... in time. Also, don't stuff chili dogs in your mouth. It is really gross. Well, goodbye." Amy then leaves.
"Well, I made one friend," I said, "that's gotta count for something. Right?"
