YES. This story is canon to Connar's story!
"Over The Rainbow" is a side story that takes place about 3 years BEFORE she started Duel Academy. It places itself during the summers and time she spent at Duel Prep School. As such: IT CONTAINS SPOILERS.
So. Spoiler Warning. Enjoy^^
Connar giggled as she scrolled through the messages on her phone while she and a few other soon to be classmates wandered the halls of the new school they would be attending...
It was near the end of Summer just before the school opened up for the term. So Parents and future students were wandering though, meeting their teachers and checking out the facilities that were offered.
It was gernally for first years.
The Summer was a bit passed its half way point which meant it was almsot time for the term to begin...
Connar and Jesse had been exchanging messages all day every day since they met at her father's party.
"That's that Connar girl right?" " asked Jasmine.
"Yeah...look at her with glued to her phone- do you suppose it's a guy?" Mindy giggled.
"A summer time guy~"
Both of the girls squealed while Alexis rhodes popped both of them with a pencil "Come on girls... let's go." she huffed.
"Aww but Alexis...I heard her dad is supposed to be like super riiiiiich~" Mindy whined.
"Yeah and hot too...I wonder who he is." said jasmine.
"I don't know." said Mindy, "I tried to look in through the windows of the limo that dropped her off but I couldn't see through the tint..."
"I don't see anyone with her either..." said Jasmined, " She must be doing the orientation alone..."
Chazz Princeton listened in on the gossiping girls and shifted his gaze over to the pink haired one in the corner. She kept to the back of the crowd...avoiding eye contact...and most other contact...
He had met her once before at a Social Galla where they shared a dance... The two got pretty friendly at that party so maybe this was a good opportunity to hone in~
He smirked and slinked his way over beside her and sat in a waiting pose for her to notice.
But she seemed far too pre occupied with her phone to even notice his presence...
-Connar-
I'm stuck at the orientation at the school ^^" My dad's pretty famous so he and Uncle Mokey can't be with me otherwise people would start to talk.
Still...it feels weird doing this by myself.

The term hasn't even started yet! Who knows? Maybe you'll make a friend faster than you know it! But if you're really nervous..I don't mind talking you through it.

"Uhm...Connar!?" Chazz huffed startling the girl from her phone screen.
"Huh!?" She blinked and looked up to be met with a lo browed gaze from an ash haired male.
"Hey." he said with a wave,"...Do you even remember me?" He smirked with a raised brow.
"Oh...O-Of course!" She gasped softly,"Y-You're Chazz Princeton~" she stated, "...I remember meeting you at the Galla..."
He smirked and raised a brow.
"Yeah...we even danced together~" he grinned," I'm honored you remember! Looks like we're in the same class this year."
"Oh...really?" she blushed.
He was pretty handsome...but she knew she had to be careful with Princetons...They were one of the many trying to weasel in on Kaiba co.
However...she didn't feel that way with Chazz.
He seemed pretty nice when they met before, kind of to his own path in life.
"So how's your break?" she asked,"Good so far?"
"It was...so far." He huffed and rolled his eyes,"Until we had to come here...things like this are always such a hassle." he sighed, "So you're here by yourself? Your dad didn't come? Or your Uncle?"
"Nope...just me." she sighed softly, "Yeah uh...they thought that was best I guess..."
"Yeah...I guess that makes sense. For the obvious reasons." he smiled, "Don't worry, Connar. Your secret is safe with me." he winked.
The secret being that Connar was a Kaiba...
"Whatever the case...this? Still sucks!" he huffed,"Though...talking with you again doesn't suck." he chuckled,"Sorry we couldn't make it to your last Galla...we had some other deal we were sealing at that time." he rolled his eyes and shrugged,"It was boring if you ask me...there was no one my age, there."
Though Connar was distracted once again by her phone, chuckling as she tapped a way with her thumb before returning it to her pocket
"Sorry about that." sje said softly, "I was just telling someone that I was busy talking to a friend so I needed to let them go for now.
A friend?
Chazz Princeton's eyes widened a bit in surprise. Blinking a few times in response.
She...sees me as a friend?
"Hmmm..." his lips curled into a smile.
This might be easier than I thought~
"Oh yeah? Who were you talking to?" Chazz asked curiously as he commanded her attention once again.
"Oh...no one really." she blushed,"Just a friend I made at the last party."
"Oooh, is it a guy!?" Mindy giggled, bursting her way into the conversation.
"Wh-What!? Why would it be-Uhh..." she blushed in a panic.
It's a lie to deny that it was a guy but was it wise to say that or not!?
Chazz watched as the girl blushed and fumbled over the words falling out of her mouth. His eyes narrowed as he placed his palm to his hip.
"You know, Connar...you really should be careful about who you meet at parties." he hissed as he shot an icy glare her direction, "...They may not always be your friends
"Uhm, excuse me, Chazz, but were you not just saying that you also met Connar at a party?" said Alexis.
"Th-That's different!" he huffed, "And what are you girls doing butting into our conversation anyway!?"
My...that was certainly odd behaivior, wasn't it?
Connar thought to herself as her eyes scanned between the fellow students to be who would most likely be joining her class this year-
"Whatever- Back off!" Chazz huffed as he quickly grabbed Connar's wrist and dragged her along with him.
"P-Princeton!?" she called his name curiously as he led her away, "What are you doing?"
"Sorry..." he said softly letting her wrist go, "It was getting a little crowded and you already seem pretty nervous, so I thought I was doing you a favor by leading you away..."
"Oh..."
He could tell I was nervous?
"...You noticed that, huh?"
"Uh...yeah it wasn't hard to see." he chuckled, "...This is your first time dealing with a public school setting, huh?" he blinked, "Well...okay so it's technically a private school- but what I mean is..." he pauses, "...You were home schooled right?" he asked curiously.
"Uh...yeah...I was." she said softly.
"Thought so." he chuckled and held out his hand, "Come on." he said softly, "I'll be your escort today okay? And teach you a little about how going to school with other kids actually works..."
