It was Mid-day on August 6th around 2:00pm, all the newspaper rallied together to see the news about the SWAT officers that were married, each press member trying to get a scoop on the story how the two men went on the mission to marry and adopt a boy, was the story was true or a executed plan to fraud the government.
Hondo looked out the car that he was travelling in with Street and their lawyer, he can feel a pit of anxiety more and more for every inch the car travels to the court. Finally arriving to the courthouse, he can feel himself going into overdrive, he just wanted to walk from it all, but he made a promise that he see through it all.

In fact before the marriage, Harrleson made an attempt the minor several however due to his martial status he was rejected as single parents are not in a position to adopt children by Califorina law. So, his next best option was to marry Street.

The defense approach the bench of the witness, and handed him a piece of paper. It showed the pictures that he taken of Hondo and Street while they are going their everyday lives.

The defense: Another thing, you mentioned that Hondo months ago have attempted to adopted a child as a single father, and then married Street to adopt a child yes?

The defense: Could it be possible that Harrelson wanted to get a partner for the child, to give him more of environment that was healthy and sustainable to the function of the child. They do say that in two parent homes that a child is more likely to thrive than in one parents. Perhaps, they were in love and them marrying is their way of commsumating their relationship.
