The Ocean Depth
Chapter 16th
Captain Lee Crane had been placed onto the operating table with the two corpsmen making sure he was secured before being injected with the serum. Doctor Anderson coming out of his main office was mentally ready for the injection and the changes that is going to happened with the captain.
Admiral Nelson had a request from all of the medical staff and mostly the command staff to watch it from inside one of the briefing rooms. Many of the command staff were close to Lee Crane, including Commander Chip Morton.
He didn't know how he was able to handle the situation with his friend having been abducted once again by the lizard creatures. He was watching from the Control room with many of the crew who had been taking care of business with running the submarine. They were slowly heading back after making contact with Caroline before going home to Santa Barbara.
The Chief Medical Officer was slightly nervous about having to scrub up before giving the injection into Lee Crane's main right leg and neck. This is when he will be closely watched for any sudden changes in his vitals.
His nurse, a male corpsman, has been asked to work with the doctor for now. He had the injection shot sitting on the main table somewhere near the Captain still out cold. Even though his entire body was being hooked up to the main unit to keep track of his vitals and mostly brain waves and heart for the most part.
"Alright everyone, are you ready for this?" he had to ask the question and take a deep breath. Andrew covering his face with the white mask will hand him the injection tube into his covered hands with the white gloves.
"Here you go, Doctor Anderson. The tube is filled to the brim with the serum." he had to say to the Chief Medical Doctor.
Another deep breath before taking the tube from Andrews's hand and making sure he will be able to insert it equally into his right leg and neck. This is going to take a moment or two before the serum can take effect.
Stepping back for a brief moment after injecting the serum into his right leg and neck. Doctor Anderson looked at the monitor to see if his brain wave patterns had changed along with his entire body.
It was going to be a wait for now as the Captain's vitals were the same for now...
