300 Earth Years Before
"Slag!" The blaring alarms sounded as the ship tilted harshly as the pilot tried to lessen the impact of the missile to the starboard quarter. Cries of surprise came as several of the ship's occupants were thrown against the metal walls.
"Heavyglide! Man the guns!" The voice, of a gravelly feminine, ordered. The mech in question rushed his thick frame into the seat to control the guns along with another that took the second seat. Together both bots worked to either slow their enemy or return the damage done to them, back. "Do we know who is attacking?"
"Negative!" The pilot shouted back in answer as they fought to control the ship that housed the few bots that lived within.
Suddenly the ship shuddered harshly as the screech of metal ripping apart echoed within. "We lost one of the engines!" A young femme barely out of youngling years stubbled into the bridge of the ship covered in scorch marks yelled. "The other is beginning to reach its limits and could start overheating."
Dentas grinded as bi-colored optics dashed around to each member of the ship's small crew as lips curled to reveal sharp canines. A crew that, other than the pilot, knew very little on fixing ships or what might be needed to optimize running a ship. With a quick glance to Heavyglide and the mech seated next to him. Talons dug into the palm of servos as the stress tightened around them. "Lockflow, are we near any planets capable of life?"
The mech half turned away from helping keep the enemy ship at bay to a scanner that had been pouring out information. "If we can make it, there is one. Keep our current heading, Nebula, but turn twenty-four degrees to the left and you should be able to start seeing it."
"Will do Lockflow!" Nebula shouted back, moving the ship to the left.
"Ha!" Heavyglide shouted in glee sending a smirk to all that glanced at him. "We're not the only ones with failing engines now! Got them slaggers just as they did to use."
"Listen up!" The gravelly voice of the femme that has lead them in times like this held the attention of all present. "Because we only have so many stasis pods I will need Phaserift to pod with Nebula as she is the smaller of us. That leaves Lockflow and Heavyglide with the two remaining ones."
Nebula, having to keep the ship flying right, could only glance back at times. "You can't be serious! What about you Siren?!"
"My armor is stronger than all of yours. If I fly this ship right, I can crash with minimal damage towards me." Sadness and anger could be gleamed by the other three older bots. They knew what had been done to her and could understand her stance in this even if she wasn't as skilled with flying a ship like Nebula was.
"Primus Siren!" Heavyglide heaved a sigh. All the femme could send him was a wane smile. Anger boiled in his spark at the deep pain glinting in her bi-colored optics as her own thoughts went to the same thoughts theirs had gone. If Heavyglide ever gets his servos on that mech that caused this deep pain to his friend, it would be that mech's last second before he met the Well. "Just don't get snuffed, fragger."
Siren sent him a brighter smile than before that settled the mech some at knowing he was able to lift her spark some. She turned to Nebula then to Lockflow. "How close are we to the planet? Are they still following?"
"We're within sight of the planet, we just passed the moon that orbits it. We have another minute before we reach the atmosphere." Nebula answered, fighting the controls as the ship shuttered hard.
"They've fallen behind a good bit but they are still keeping up with us." Lockflow replied, his servos moving around the keys to keep the scanner on the ship.
This is a small preview of what I have been cooking up. Like I have stated, it'll have elements from the OG story Chasing from Death, Racing for Life. It just won't be fully from, well, that universe. Heavyglide is alive in this one. Another difference is, as you have read, Siren can talk in this one, BUT there is a HUGE reason for her being able to do so that I honestly CANT FUCKING WAIT for you lovely readers to get to that point. This will also be set within the Prime verse that leads heavily into those reasons as well.
Im giddy to start letting a few chapters out but just not yet. It'll still be a few months before I truly start pouring them out. I haven't even thought up a title, kinda bad with them to be honest.
I would love to hear thoughts on the changes. Or what you would like to see for certain outcomes within the series. (The other reason for Heavyglide and Lockflow...the Autobots really needed fliers in Prime. That and I could bring back a creation of mine that I really did like from OG) Also, I do try my hardest to find all typos and shit but being your own Beta doesn't really help you. So, if you see any I really did try!
What episode of Prime was yawls favorite of the show.
