Who Can You Trust?
POV. Third person
Chris is standing in the doc of shame, "Last time on Total Drama Island. Things really got cooking between the campers", everyone is seen cooking, " Heather showed kindness to her team for once, while taking down the Bass at the same time", Heather start talking to the Bass and they begin fighting, "but that trust was betrayed when a cake exploded in her face and Owen and Noah spoiled their main course by adding too much hot sauce", Heather flees the kitchen, singed and eyebrowless, while Owen does so by spitting fire and knocking out Noah in the process, "Sadie, demonstrating why she is an expert BFF, managed to calm her team down by pointing out what was important, thus getting everyone to agree to continue with the challenge, wow. Who knew? In the end the catfish won the challenge by a wide margin, sending the moles to the bonfire ceremony for the third time in a row. Is anyone else feeling deja vu here? Hahahahaha. Feeling guilty about his poor performance in the challenge, Trent made a mature and not at all stupid decision... quitting the competition, making his girl sad, but perhaps saving their relationship", Gwen and Trent say goodbye on the dock, "How much trust do they have in one another? Find out this week on TOTAL… DRAMA… ISLAND!".

POV. Noah
We were having breakfast in the main room, the chef served us leftovers from what we cooked yesterday, yuck. Duncan had just stolen a cup of all things and Courtney jumped in to scold him as expected, what are those two up to?
"Then I accidentally entered my sister Paula's room and found her doing it with her boyfriend, I didn't know what they were doing at the time, the conversation that followed was very awkward, especially because her boyfriend insinuated himself to me at that very moment, Paula was not happy at all, I never saw him again afterwards... and that's why I always knock on the door before entering his room," said Lindsay ending her story with enthusiasm, she was telling an anecdote of her life, forgetting that there is no privacy on this island... again.
Cody sitting next to her almost chokes on his leftovers, poor devil, "maybe you should keep those things to yourself," said a distraught Gwen who came to the table, who would have thought those two would end up being friends.
Same with Cody, they had become very close since surviving the bear attack, it seems like people really come together in adversity as they say.
I looked at Cody more closely, I can't believe that geek, just a little fitter than me, really defeated one of the biggest carnivores on earth, but then again, Lindsay was with him, he wouldn't pass up the opportunity to show off to a lady, he was very suave when it came to flattering them, it seems that if he wanted to he could cajole any of the girls here, but he never crosses that line, he just stays on his good side, something very rare for a Casanova, fuck, I'm sure the Heather thing is just a façade, but that the girl could have something for him I have no doubt about that at this point.
I remember that he also tends to wake up abruptly on the mornings of challenge days, he thinks we haven't noticed, but all the boys knew, Trent said that maybe he was prone to nightmares and that we better not touch the subject as it could be sensitive.
But the strangest thing is that he hasn't had nightmares again... Ever since the bear... I remember waking up that morning worse than ever, did he have a bad feeling about what was going to happen that day? I've heard from people who have experienced it, a kind of premonition of something terrible going to happen to them, but it's not scientifically proven.
After that he never had nightmares again and now, he looks much more alive than ever. He may be my friend, but sometimes I feel like I don't really know anything about him, he's definitely the most mysterious person in this competition.

Chris nos llamó al muelle de la vergüenza para anunciarnos el próximo desafío.
"So, last week's challenge exposed a few Gopher issues. And I'm sensing a little something funky floating in the Bass pond, too", Duncan elbowed Courtney, who angrily pushed him to the ground, " So… this week's challenge is going to be centered around building trust.", great, this is so ironic, " Because all good things begin with a little trust.".
"Of course, why do you care so much about trust," I said sarcastically.
"You said it dude," he replied, "I hate it when sarcasm doesn't work with him.
Confessional.
Heather
"I trusted my team once and they left me without eyebrows."
End of the confessional.
"There will be three major challenges that will have to be completed by two or more members of your team," Duncan and Courtney gave each other a bad look again There's a lot of tension between those two, "Normally, we like to have the campers choose their partners, but not this time! More fun for me!" Chris said.
...
We had now moved to the bottom of a ravine with steep overhangs.
" Okay! So, for the first challenge, you'll be doing an extreme freehand rock-climbing adventure!" Chris said as we looked at the cliff, more intense physical work from what I see, "Harold and Duncan will play for the Bass, Cody and Noah for the Gophers," he announced.
I looked at my partner and he looked back at me too, surprised, it seems that Chris is aware of my suspicions.
" Here's your belay and harness," he said as he gave us the equipment.
"I can climb if it's okay with you," Cody told me confidently.
Well, it means less work for me, "go ahead then".
"They should make Noah climb, with so much air in that egghead, I'm sure he'll float to the top," Heather said, trying to insult me.
"Wow, that was actually good, how many days did it take you to think about it?", I replied, you're not going to beat me in sarcasm Prom Queen, that's my thing. She crossed her arms angrily as the others laughed.
"Don't worry Heather, I'm not going to fall, you don't have to worry," Cody said mockingly, she got angry, but just looked away instead of answering, curious reaction.
I reached out to Cody to help him put the harness on, but I was already wrapping up, "wow that was quick."
"I have some experience freehand climbing, kind of like a hobby," he told me, aren't you supposed to be a geek?
"One camper pulls the slack through the belay as their partner climbs. If the climber falls, the belay will stop them from crashing," good to know, "the catch? Both the side and the base of the mountain are rigged with a few minor distractions like, rusty nails, slippery oil slicks, mild explosives and a few other surprises," Chris said as I tried to see where all the obstacles were, which was difficult.
"Wicked!" Harold said.
"You call that "minor distractions"?" said Gwen alarmed, the rest of us starting to worry about Cody... but when I saw him, he was calm looking at the cliff, he really wasn't worried about this?
"The person in the tether must also secure their partner, it's all about trust guys, and remember never let go of the rope, your partner's life depends on it," Chris said, saying the latter as if he didn't expect anyone to fall today.
"Keep an eye out, Chris will probably have surprises in store for those holding the rope as well," Cody told me.
"Of course he will."
Duncan put the harness on Harold, it makes sense, he's lighter. I couldn't help but get excited. This in a way would be an opportunity for revenge for the dodgebrawl and the hunt. Regardless of my doubts about my friend, I really didn't want to lose this challenge.
"Are you sure the two of you will be okay? Shouldn't you be the one climbing Duncan Slope? After all, you have a lot more experience," I told the criminal.
"Nice try, know-it-all, but I won't fall for that," well I did what I could.
"Yes, I also have my mad skills," Harold said doing karate moves, Duncan just rolled his eyes.
...
Harold and Cody started climbing right away; To everyone's surprise, the geek was quickly leaving Harold behind.
"Wow, he's like a mountain goat," Owen said, "come on buddy you can do it," the whole team started cheering him on, he climbed up really fast, occasionally stopping to see where the traps were.
Confessional.
Noah
"I know he said it was a hobby, but I didn't think it was that good."
Cody
"Finally, one of the hobbies I learned is serving a purpose."
End of the confessional.
...
POV. Cody
After you've climbed the Statue of Liberty, reached the top of a giant condor nest, or flown away in a wheelchair, climbing a slope seems easy enough, even if Chris filled it with traps.
2
*Boom* *boom*
The explosives on the slope started to detonate, but there were none near me.
"Ahhhh!" I can't say the same for Harold, who let go of the slope, but since Duncan was holding the rope tightly he just hung on.
"Don't worry, I've got you, just keep going," he told her.
In my distraction I put my hand on an oil-filled rock, "Wow!", I slipped, but immediately I was suspended, I looked down.
Noah held the rope with his arms tense, his feet firmly anchored to the ground, while he leaned back at a forty-degree angle, leaning on the tension of the rope, very cunning.
"Thank you," I said.
"Yes, yes, hold on at once, this position is uncomfortable," he replied tensely.
Chris showed up with a water gun, " I promised surprises! Habanero pepper sauce, anyone?" he shot his gun at Noah, but Noah ducked even lower, dodging the stream of hot sauce.
"Hot sauce? Are you getting back at me for the ribs?" asked Noah annoyed, that wasn't the case, but I understand why you would think so.
"Who knows?" said Chris, then shot Duncan, but like last time, his eyes were protected with goggles and he just swallowed the sauce.
"Is it the best thing you can do?"
I swung and grabbed back onto the slope, Harold now catching up with me.
*Boom*
But again he was hit by an explosion, this time it was so strong that Duncan let go of the rope, which got tangled around his foot and suspended him in the air.
"Ouch!", then ended up bumping into Harold halfway through.
"I call that revenge," Noah said when he saw them.
I finished climbing to the top, "Yes!", it's a shame that this time I couldn't see Gwen's panties, but neither did the rest of the world, so it's a win and a lose.
"Looks like the Gophers won the first challenge," Chris announced, the others were cheerful.

POV. Gwen
For the second challenge Chris had chosen Bridgette and Geoff for the Bass and Lindsay and me for the Gophers, after the worst transition by a double I had ever seen, he told us that we would be cooking again, which reminded me that Trent was no longer here, that made me a little sad, but Lindsay put her hand on my shoulder comforting me.
Chris told us that one should cook and the other would be the taster.
"Oh, oh, let me cook, I can do it," Lindsay said, looking at me with puppy dog eyes.
Confessional.
Gwen
She had a bucket in her arms and looked pretty sick, "after Trent left LeShawna and Lindsay have been helping me manage it, that's why I couldn't say no to Lindsay, I don't see her as just a dumb rich girl anymore, she's really become my friend," then vomited into the bucket.
End of the confessional.
"Today you'll be preparing Fugu sashimi, the traditional Japanese poisonous blowfish," said Chris, oh no, "The Fugu Blowfish contains enough lethal toxins to kill thirty people," he continued as the chef pulled out the fish.
"Fishes, meet your maker!" he threw the fish at us.
"They must be sliced very carefully to cut around the poisonous organs," Chris said a little too excited, "The poison paralyzes the nerves and there is no antidote. So, no worries," he finished.
I looked at Lindsay, a little worried about my life, "please tell me you can do this."
To my surprise, she was listening to what Chris was saying, and she was looking intently at the fugu diagram, "don't worry I'll do my best", wow, it's the first time I've seen her so sure of something.
Confessional.
Lindsay
"Cody told me that if I didn't understand something, then I should ask, if not, then watch what other people are doing, I don't want to poison Gwen by accident, so I'll have to be very careful."
End of the confessional.
...
After an hour or so Bridgette and Lindsay finished their dishes, Bridgette's looked excellent, it was a dish with rice and fish wrapped in nori seaweed, Lindsay's... Not so much, it was pretty simple, a fugu soup.
"Done," Bridgette said exhaustedly. Geoff picked up one of the nori rolls and ate it before everyone's expectant gaze.
A moment passed... And he was fine, " Excellence!", now it was my turn.
Lindsay put the soup in front of me, it looked very normal, even so, I swallowed very nervously. I took the spoon and slurped the soup with slices of fugu before everyone's expectant gaze, at least it didn't taste bad.
"..."
"..."
For a moment we all thought the dish was a success.
*Grrrr*
Until my stomach started growling and I felt nauseous. Then I started throwing up on the floor.
"Oops, nasty, the Killer Bass win this round," they celebrated.
Confessional.
Gwen
"The good news, Lindsay didn't poison me with pufferfish, the bad news, one of the other ingredients she used was expired, so I curse Chris and this camp for making me sick," she vomited again into the bucket she had.
End of the confessional.

POV. Bridgette
After the second round was over and Gwen was taken to the infirmary, Chris said we would have a few hours before the next competition.
Geoff asked me if I could teach him how to surf, so we were now at the dock.
"I'm sorry if I can just teach you how to stand on the board, but this place doesn't have any waves," I said.
"Okay, the important thing is that I can spend time with you doing what you love... just what Duncan advised me to do."
"What did you say?", I didn't hear that last part well.
"Nothing, so what's the first lesson?"
...
We were there for a while, I never thought I'd be so excited to teach someone how to surf, but Geoff was an amazing guy, yes, he was terrible at flirting, but when he was himself, he really enjoyed the time we spent together.
"That was fun," he said as we got out of the water.
"Yes, it really was," I said, and we stared for a while.
"You know when this whole contest thing is over, I think you should come to one of my parties, I can introduce you to several of my friends, I'm sure you'll like them," he told me.
"Oh, are you asking me out on a date?" I asked excitedly.
He realized, "uh yes, I guess I did, right?"
I laughed, "I'd love to go to one of your parties," I replied.
"Great, we should go back, before Courtney and Duncan kill each other."
"That's not going to happen, you know Courtney would finish him off."
Confessional.
Geoff
"I can't believe how well things went, this time I can definitely say that Bridgette and I have connected."
Bridgette
"I can't believe he asked me out for real, things between us are going well for once."
End of the confessional.

POV. Cody
We all gathered for the third round of the challenge. Gwen wasn't with us, Lindsay told me she had a foodborne infection from one of the ingredients, at least she didn't get poisoned by the pufferfish.
" Good news, the third round involves three more challenges," Chris said.
"And what's the good news?" Noah asked sarcastically.
The presenter decided to ignore it, " It's the three blind challenges. It begins with the blind William Tell, followed by the blind trapeze, and culminating in the treacherous blind toboggan," Chris put an arrow to Geoff's head, " Like legendary marksman William Tell, you'll be knocking arrows off your partner's head with crabapples."
" Um, wasn't it the other way around?" Courtney asked.
"And you want to volunteer to get arrows thrown at you?" asked Noah, she shuddered.
" Also, the shooter will be blindfolded too. The person who knocks of the arrow while causing the least amount of facial damage wins," he threw an apple at Geoff, hitting him in the crotch, ouch, " Aw, nuts! Leshawna and Owen, you'll be one team. Courtney and Sadie, you'll be the other."
" Ooh, let me shoot! I'm a good shot," Sadie said excitedly.
"Ugh, you'd better be," Courtney replied unsurely.
...
Courtney and Owen got into position like last time, LeShawna and Sadie were already blindfolded and ready.
Both started throwing and as expected, only hit the other two all over. Owen withstood the blows well, "Ouch!", I can't say the same for Courtney.
Finally, in a lucky shot, Leshawna skewered her apple into Owen's arrow knocking it down.
" I've got her this time," Sadie said.
"LeShawna won already," Chris told her, but she didn't listen.
"Sadie Ouch!" hit Courtney over the head with an apple.
"SADIE!" I yelled, and this time she took off the blindfold.
"Oops, I'm sorry," he said to the bruised Courtney, who just collapsed to the ground, at least without threats this time.
...
Now we were in front of the trapezoids, the same ones from last time were chosen for this one, that is, Harold, Bridgette, Heather and Lindsay.
Despite her hesitation Bridgette trusted Harold and he managed to catch her, Lindsay seriously tried this time, but her timing was still bad, so Heather fell back into the jellyfish pool. But I know she'd be fine.
"You know, he started to understand why you like Lindsay so much," Noah told me as we watched Heather emerge from the pool with a jellyfish on her head.
-0-
POV. Courtney
"What? Where am I?", I woke up somewhat disoriented, the last thing I remember is that Sadie knocked me out with an apple.
"In the infirmary," replied Heather, who had a jellyfish on her head, "Do you have anything to remove jellyfish?"
The chef nodded as he changed Gwen's bucket of vomit, disgusting. Heather collapsed after that.
Duncan walked into the infirmary, "great you're awake sleeping beauty, it looks like I won't have to wake you up with a kiss," he sneered.
Who does he think he is? "Oh, I bet that's what you'd want," I replied angrily.
"Come on, there's still a challenge left, we have to go cheer on the team," then left the store.
I folded my arms angrily.
"You know, he was the one who carried you to the infirmary after you passed out," a sick Gwen told me.
"Really?" I was surprised.
She nodded, "even stood watching you for a while," then vomited into her bucket.
Wow, I didn't expect him to have such a nice side.
-0-
POV. Cody
Finally it was time for the blind slide, Courtney was the only one to rejoin us, Gwen and Heather stayed in the infirmary.
" And now, the final leg. The blind toboggan race," Chris announced.
"The say what?" asked LeShawna.
" Each team will have a driver and a navigator. The driver steers while the navigator show directions. Oh yeah. And the driver will be blindfolded," many worried about this.
"Let's see, Noah and LeShawna, Geoff and Sadie".
The participants climbed to the top of the mountain, the rest of us would wait for them below, I just hope they can do it.
...
POV. Noah
LeShawna and I were on our sled, while Geoff and Sadie were on the other.
We had decided that I would sail since LeShawna was as blind as a gopher, ha, double reference.
"Let's do this," Leshawna said, I wasn't so sure.
"On your marks… get set...", Chris honked a horn, and both teams slid down the slope, I won't lie, I was very scared.
"Right... ... left... left...", the road was difficult and full of obstacles, but we were coping well.
Geoff and Sadie were very close to us, "Are we there yet?" asked LeShawna.
"We're halfway there," I replied, we were going down very fast, it was very scary.
*Boom*
"What was that?" Sadie asked Geoff.
"Agh, damn it," I realized.
...
POV. Cody
Chris used a detonator to fire explosions in the path of the sledges, " We had a few explosives left over and I just hate to waste."
I saw that both sleds were going hand in hand. It looks like Noah chose a different route than Gwen the first time around.
*Boom*
An explosion lifted both teams into the air.
"AHHHHHHHHHH!" *BOOM*
Both sleds crashed, Sadie and Geoff's at the finish line and LeShawna and Noah's at the top of a tree.
The Bass celebrated, we went to check on our friends, "Are you okay?" I asked.
"I'm fine," Leshawna replied.
"I'm definitely not okay," Noah said.
-0-
POV. Courtney
Noah was taken to the infirmary, the rest of us gathered to find out the results.
"So, did you take me to the infirmary when I was unconscious?" I asked Duncan, after seeing that no one was listening.
He widened his eyes, "What!? Of course not," he tried to deny it.
"""Gwen was vio,"" said Acuse."
"Shit."
"Hey, it's okay, I think it was sweet."
"Anyway, just don't tell others, I don't want them to think I'm soft."
"Don't worry, your secret is safe with me."
...
Both teams in their entirety were present, Noah had a sling on his left arm it seems he broke it during the fall.
"And the Bass are the winners of the race," Chris announced, we all celebrated our victory, we were finally coming back, now both teams were evenly matched.
"Gophers, four in a row, really, it looks like you're really the new Bass."
"Hey!" that offended me.
-0-
POV. Cody
Once again we were at the campfire ceremony. Now I know for sure that our losses were not due to the curse, we fared even worse without that cursed idol, now I regret not accepting Izzy's offer.
"Okay, here's the marshmallows, Gwen," she still had a bucket to throw up, but she caught her marshmallow, "... LeShawna... ... Owen... Cody... Heather," there were only two left, "this is the last marshmallow and it's for...
...
...
...
...
...
...
...
...
...
Lindsay".
She took the marshmallow, yes, Noah was leaving tonight, his arm only had a minor fracture, but it would prevent him from continuing to compete, he didn't heal so fast after all. But it's okay, Noah changed a lot during this time in the competition, that was all I wanted.
Confessional.
Noah
"Yes, I'm leaving the competition, but hey, at least I got pretty far, besides, I didn't think I was going to have so much fun, I was even able to get revenge on Duncan and a sexy blonde kissed me on the cheek, my brothers can't say I'm just a bookworm anymore."
End of the confessional.
Owen and I accompanied Noah to the losers' boat, curiously the seagull was there too, "I'm so sorry about your arm," I said.
"I'm going to miss you, little buddy," Owen told him.
"Okay, honestly it wasn't all that bad, I really had fun, I even got a kiss from a blonde hottie, that's something none of my brothers can say."
"Take care buddy," I said, he got on the boat and looked at me curiously.
"Before I go, are you finally going to tell me what you've been hiding?" he asked.
I smiled, of course he would realize something was up, Owen looked between the two of them confused.
"I'm sorry, it's not something I can tell you so easily, you probably wouldn't even believe me."
"I see," he said simply, "but that doesn't mean I won't try to figure it out on my own," he told me with his own cheeky smile.
"Hahaha, yes, I can't stop you if that's what you want to do, let me know you find out", I honestly have no idea if he'll be able to figure it out or not.
"I'm so confused," Owen said.
With that said, the boat departed, getting lost in the distance, taking another friend with it, "come on Owen, let's go back."

POV. Third person
Chris is standing on the dock, "and so one more leaves this island, now both teams are evenly matched. Will we ever find out what Cody's mysterious secret is? Will Gwen recover from her stomach upset? Who will win the next challenge? Find out next week, here at TOTAL... DRAMA... ISLAND!"
