3. WEISS THE GUARDIAN

Chapter 2 Weiss the Guardian

Her surroundings were freezing she couldn't move and her eyes was closed, she can't even do anything but stay still like a statue, she can hear the wind blowing the freezing temperature cold through out her entire body, she has no idea where she is but she's feels familiar with the area even though her eyes were closed, then suddenly she hears footsteps on the snow and it sounds like it's coming towards her, she slowly try her best to open her eyes but only opening them just a slightest, she saw a shadow in front of her it looks like a person, a very muscular big person in front of her, she can tell who it was but she hopes they're here to help her, she closed her eyes one last time finally going on conscious.

The Earth had existed for 4.5 billion years and throughout a history, comes many events, it was once a fiery lava world then it became an endless rain and an endless cold world the earth have a countered many creatures, that come and go but one of these creatures have changed the Earth dramatically and that is humans, although humans have managed to change a lot of the planet, if you can put the Earth's history into a clock, humanity is a roughly around 5 to 3 seconds and yet all of this, we manage to change a lot of things, but at the beginning of humanity it was very different.

We have evolved from ancient primates once that came out of the ocean and was climbing on trees to walking bipedal, but we're not the only ones, like most species we too have different kinds of humans roughly eight different species of humans, although they are very different from size to appearance there's still one of our kind for starters we are called Homo sapiens,

The different kinds are called Homo soloensis, Homo floresiensis, Homo denisova, Homo rudolfensis, Home erectus, Homo ergaster, and Homo neanderthalensis. Although it is sad to find out that most of our own kind are now extinct except homo sapiens, we should not forget how far we we made it, but don't let this as a sign tells you we're friendly, Humanity was always have been animals they always try our best to survive, and no doubt about it throughout history, there humanity always have been very violent towards each other.

No matter how much we try to study our ancient ancestors, even though we tried to study them with DNA, their diet, their habitats all of it, there's always that slight chance of possibility of what were they like, how did they survive, sure science can explain it but, like everyone said everyone is different, some people around the world will not accept this opinion trying to explain that humans are not animals. Humans are humans not creatures but they keep forgetting, everything here on the planet, everything around in the planet, everything started as animals, it's always how you put it how you describe it, what do you call a human if they gone crazy, an animal of course, what would you call a human that is no longer corroborated to appoint their more monstrous, they're no longer human, that phrase that people use a lot in movies and shows or even throughout the media they always say, that they're no longer human or its inhuman but that word human.

To most people we use the word human as describing ourselves, but when you stop and think about it what does it mean to be human, what does human mean not just a species but in general, what it means to be human, look around you as you're reading this either in your phone or tablet, a computer, a laptop doesn't really matter, look around you, as you see your entire life, you're in a house, you have food you, have entertainment you have everything what you need, but describing how the ancient humans were like, survival is important, we used to be prey at that time, people don't need to worry about jobs or bills, the only things people worry about, was being hunted or being killed, it makes you wonder what would have happened if these were different, human species were not fighting against each other but instead working with each other, obviously it is true that our species have mated with other different human species, but I'm not referring to that, I'm generally thinking of what would have happened, what if.

And yet the history, we humans have managed to bring more destruction and at the same time try your best to bring peace, we all we got, we push our minds to the far beyond of Science and religion to the point that many people think it's one and the other is better, but they're all connected you can't have one without the other, look at our story we literally the only ones and yet after all these years we ended up destroying ourselves even more and more, just because of are different opinions and even some people managed to push the envelope Beyond, even some people are Beyond cooperating, how many people have died of our actions how many of our friends and families have died in war, how many, there's so many to count and yet we managed to do all of this in under 3 seconds which is unbelievable.

We push the envelope our imagination Beyond to a point that we started questioning our own existence, we started thinking hard we started researching harder, and yet we forget how y'all started, it's sad really, how far we are willing to go and refuse to accept it, kind of makes you wish what would have happened if we actually truly accomplish World Peace, but that's fiction if there is peace there will always be conflict, no matter which side you are in.

Weiss slowly woke up, realizing she is no longer on the snow but now in a rocky area, as she finally sat up adjusting her eyes trying to see what's around her, she's suddenly realized she's inside of wooden cage Weiss got scared realizing whoever found her was not a good person, she looked around realizing she was inside of a cave, she looked around her surroundings trying to see anything as familiar to her, but yet they all look so different. She saw animal hide hanging on the corner of the cave and she even saw cave paintings, she doesn't know where she is, but she is a little bit scared, she looked in the center of the cave and saw campsite and saw a few animal hides on the ground, she continued looking and saw no one did they leave her there.

Weiss still looked around and saw no one, she looked at her cage and shook it, it was very sturdy its not going to break very easily. She's literally trapped there, she has no idea what to do but decided to wait, she looked outside only a glimpse, it was snowing very heavily and although she's in a cave, the campfire is keeping her warm although she can still feel the cold of the snow, she looked at herself realizing she's wearing a dress she questions why she's wearing this in the cold, shouldn't she be wearing a coat or something.

The most important thing is what happened to her before she end up here, Weiss lean at the corner of the cage and try her best to think all she remembers is, she was with a group of people but she doesn't know who they are, she knows what's her name but she doesn't know how she end up here in the first place, she doesn't know why but she hopes her memories will come back. Suddenly she felt a poke on her arm she turned looking at what was poking her, it was a stick and she turned her head looking who was holding it her eyes widen it was a child. A very strange looking child to be honest, Weiss can tell this child looks human even walks like human, but can tell that her head specifically are forehead looks a bit wider than normally, is this child disform or maybe a condition during birth, she wonders but she doesn't want to be poked with a stick.

"Excuse me child will you please stop poking me with the stick." Said Weiss as spoke to the child very calmly, the child stopped and turn her head back at the entrance of the cave, and then return back looking at Weiss. Weiss tilted her head started noticing that a child was expecting someone to come in, but the child was looking at her like she's unusual, does the child not seen another human before, Weiss move closer to the child although she's still in a cage, she moved close enough just to show the child she's not a threat but when the child noticed it, she stood back, Weiss started questioning why the child is stood back I mean it's understandable the child just met her.

"Are you here to kill me and my people?"

Weiss stood back wasn't expecting the child to say that, she instantly shook her head disagreeing what the child just said, Weiss immediately demand the child to explain why she think Weiss was here to attack her and her people, the child revealed that her kind wanted to kill them and even burn their Villages a couple of times. Weiss was horrified she got closer to the cage and told the child that she's not here to attack anyone she just lost, the child explained more that she doesn't trust her the reason why is because her kind is very dangerous, Weiss continue disagreeing with a child explaining that not all people are like this, she even told the child to get the actual authorities to stop this, but the child got confused and not understanding what Weiss was saying.

"THAT'S ENOUGH!!"

The two girls instantly Shook and turned back looking at the entrance of the cave, the voice came from a very tall and muscular man he was not happy as he walked down, massively intimidating two girls in the cave, he slowly walked towards the cave taking his time as he sees his little girl and instantly demands her to be behind him, as the child ran behind the man he walks closer to Weiss, he was giving Weiss a bad look she instantly slowly went back feeling intimidated by the beneath man, the man looked identical to the girl she believed that this man could be the father of the child. Weiss instantly realized If the child doesn't trust her then the father must heavily not trust her as well.

The man stared at Weiss for almost a couple of minutes she felt very uncomfortable by the man, Weiss looked back at the child but the man blocked the child. Weiss know they can't keep quiet so she began to speak, she sat up ready to start a conversation as she was about to open her mouth the man interrupt her.

"Keep your mouth shut monster, I don't want to hear your lies!"

The man deep voice shook Weiss, she knows the man has a deep voice but hearing fully felt unreal it like the man is half man half beast. Weiss mind came back realizing what the man just called her a monster but more importantly what does mean lies, she build up the courage to move closer.

"Wait lies but I haven't lied, sir please why did you but me in a cage, I'm not a threat."

"QUIET!!"

Weiss stopped talking getting scared by the man shout, she crawled back trying to keep her distance from the man. The still looking at Weiss then he spoke asking his daughter attention to leave the cave, at first the girl protest but the man turned his head slightly looking at the girl, by the look the girl listen. The girl walked towards the exit but she stopped looking back at Weiss, the man signed then looked back at Weiss still not happy.

"Now tell how are you still live?"

Weiss tilted her head wondering what he was talking about.

The man pointed at her hands specifically her fingers, he explains when they found her, her hands, ears and her nose were bright yellow meaning frostbite have already started, but when they took her here they realize that she was healing, the yellow areas were slowly fading back to her normal skin color.

Weiss looked at her hands and touch her nose she's fully aware how dangerous frostbites are, but she didn't know she can heal herself, come to think of it, she didn't know she has this ability it sounds very familiar to her but it sounds astonishing, the big man was looking at Weiss reaction realizing that she also doesn't know she has this, he tilted his head a little bit placing his hand on his chin thinking, he doesn't trust this girl but her reaction looks very convincing to a point that she wasn't lying, he even starting to think this girl doesn't even know her own powers as well, to be honest the man never met anyone who has this ability.

"How's that even possible, my fingers should be black right about now and yet I can still feel them, they don't feel cold they feel normal?"

Wiess look back at The Tall Man with a completely shocked and disbelieving look.

"I don't know how you manage to heal yourself but it doesn't change anything you're still a major threat or worse." Said the man his face returning back to what was before.

The cave was soundly silent no one trying to speak and Weiss trying to process what he just said and processing what she can do, slowly she's starting to fit the pieces together the man barely even trust her due to her own kind attacking his people and now, her with the ability to heal makes this man even more on edge, her shoulders relax down her eyes looked at the ground.

"Please I'm not a threat and I'm not like what you describe those people who attacked your village, I'm so sorry but please what can I do to show you I am not with them."

The man's reaction didn't change not even one bit he looked down at the girl, he seen many of her kind trying to kill him and yet they always die the same way, on their knees asking for mercy but now seeing this girl, her outfits, her attitude, her posture it was nothing like those monsters who attacked his people, this girl is more polite more formal he doesn't know why she's acting like that, but the man does know he may be a Survivor but he ain't cold-blooded and cold-hearted, he can tell so many years of constant Bloodshed of survival he can easily tell if someone is lying or not, right now the girl was clearly clearly not lying.

The man signed looking at Weiss and decided to do something that he might regret, but it's the right thing to do. He walked closer towards the cage and squat down looking at Weiss at eye level, Weiss was little bit confused of looking at the man up and close, but she was wondering what the man is doing.

"Look if you want me to trust you and if you are telling the truth, we're going to make a deal, you're going to stay in that cage and you will not Escape it, you will stay there as long as I want, no escaping and do whatever I say no what, no if, no buts. You will leave the cage if I say you will leave the cage, do you understand."

Weiss pay attention to every single word he say at first she would heavily disagree she wants to leave this cage immediately but yet she has to think this through it's pretty obvious that she has to stay to get this man to trust her she stood there seeing the man waiting patiently for her answer and with no hesitation she agreed.

The man took a deep sigh, he stand up walk towards the fire and tossing a few logs increasing the fire warmth in the cave, Weiss can easily feel the warmth of the cave rising. She looked up back at the man giving him a small smile, the man's reaction did not change as he turned around heading out of the cave Weiss asked a question to the man.

He stopped slowly turned around looking back at Weiss, he looked at the ground thinking if he should or shouldn't but he turned around fully looking at Weiss and gave her his name.

"My name is octo." Weiss small smile grew into a peaceful calm smile she put her hand on her chest and gave her name.

"My name is Weiss shynee."

The man nodded and continued on leaving the cave, the room was silent Weiss looked around seeing the cave very differently now, no longer scared but now determined she wants octo to trust her and as their deal she will stay in the cage as long as he wants, she will not leave. She turned looking back at the fire, the fire was a lot more bigger and she can feel the comfortable warmth of the fire, she rearrange the animal hide that she was sleeping on to be a little bit more comfortable for her, she looked at herself she is still wearing a white dress and she doesn't know why she was wearing it out there in the cold blizzard, but there's another question that come up to her, but she was with someone she doesn't know why but she can't remember all she remembers is a red blur.

"A red blur?" She said remembering a red blur by her memories or lack she has she can tell it has a shape of a person.

"Who or what it is, is seriously going to be bothering me."

Weiss laid down on the hide and went to sleep, she was sleeping peacefully until she started hearing small howls of pain, she open her eyes looking where the noise is coming from but everything is silent, Weiss wonder what was that noise. Weiss immediately noticed that the cage was gone like it was never here to begin with, she tilted her head questioning why the cage is gone she doesn't remember leaving it or she will immediately notice that someone took her out of it, she looked around trying to see what's happening then she realized that the cave was very different than usual, when she looked closely around her surroundings she realized that the cave was very different, it wasn't even the same cave it was a bit smaller and a little bit narrow.

The exit of the cave was glowing except it wasn't the sunlight it was a bright blue glow, but for some reason it feels familiar towards her Weiss looked around and then slowly got up and walk towards the light very slowly, as she finally made it outside of the cave she realize that the area was very different it was still cold, there was snow everywhere except now there was a Manor, she tilted her head questioning why is this building here and why does she feel scared and the exact same time relieved, she looked around again and realized there are no trees around it's like a completely snowy Wasteland as she turned around, the cave that she came out was gone it was just the snowy void as she turned looking back at the Manor, she has no idea what's happening but something is telling her to enter the manor.

She walked towards the manor and as she walked towards the stairs and open the door she was greeted by two giant Knights that were next to the stairs, she was a bit intimidated by the giant Knights but the exact same time feels familiar towards her, she looked around as she expected it looks like a normal Manor but she still has that feeling, it feels very familiar towards her and yet for some reason she feels even more frightened then before, she has no idea where to go so she decided to walk up the stairs and she continued she looked around the area still looks familiar, she questions she feels like she been here before she has no idea why, as she continued she started hearing whisperings. She turned around thinking she saw someone but there were no one there, she can still hear whispering but these whispers sound sad, as she finished walking up the stairs she sees a very long hallway and she was compelled to walk towards it, as she did she still looked around most of the pictures were blank not even having a picture at all, then when she turns around she realized that the stairs were gone the whole way have suddenly extend itself into a long endless void.

Then the whisper is started growing louder and louder waste now immediately understanding The Voice and it sounds very familiar it was her own voice and it sounds like she's talking to someone but then her voice went from sadness to frustration to anger, Weiss clinch your head feeling like she's getting a headache then she felt even more Disturbed and more ashamed of herself for some reason, she doesn't know what's happening to her then from the distance at the end of the hallway nothing but just a black void she can see a silhouette of a girl, somewhere around her age. The person was staring at Weiss menacing then her eyes started glowing red and then the person started shaking violently and then something burst out of its shoulders and arms and then the body started amalgamating into unspeakable Horrors.

Weiss was horrify what she was looking at, then the black silhouette creatures immediately started screaming but what shocked her even more that it sound exactly like her, the creature voice were distorted now the screams. The creature immediately started running towards Weiss, in a panic she bolted trying her best to run away from the creature she ran towards the hallway but the hallway was so long that it looks like an endless void, she kept running and she turned her head just a slight she can see the creature immediately started changing into many different abnormal abominable human parts around itself.

Weiss continued running she looked forward and still see that the hallway was so long and endless she thought she's going to pass out and the creatures going to attack her but luckily for her she sees a door, as she finally made it she opened it and immediately shut it blocking it, the creature slams into the door but it did not broke it Weiss can hear the creature scratching and pounding on the door, she took a deep breath and walked away from the door hoping that door will hold the creature long enough.

She wasn't paying attention around her surroundings she was still focusing on the door until she heard someone clearing their throat trying to get her attention, Weiss turned around immediately noticing a older man with a white mustache she doesn't know why but she feels scared when she sees this person, but she doesn't know who is this man she looked back to the door then back at the man, the man's face was not impressed like he was looking down at her.

"Weiss you finally showed up." Said the man

Weiss senses finally came back she walked towards the man telling him there's a monster outside, the man didn't Flinch nor have any reaction about the monster even though they can both hear the creature hitting the door, the man turned looking at the door then look back at Weiss still showing No Remorse towards her.

"Yes there is, you have so much problems happening towards you and yet you never fail to disappoint me."

The man stand up and walked towards her as she took a step back even more frightened by the man as he stopped only a couple feet away from Weiss, then he turned walking towards the door she begged the man not to open the door but the man didn't listen as he turned the knob the monster immediately burst out but it did not charge at Weiss but it was waiting. The man turned looking at Weiss with a frustrated look he immediately started walking faster towards her and grabbed her wrist pulling her towards him.

"You disappoint me you are such a failure and yet you are around with the file creatures that try to kill us!"

The man let go of Weiss hand, as she stood back a little bit more further away from the man even more frightened, the man began walking towards her again except this time he keeps explaining that the people she's around are going to kill her and everyone she cares about. Weiss looked around the room trying to find anywhere to escape from this man, the man grew more frustrated at her for not listening he walked towards her and slapping her on the face getting her on the floor.

She feels the stinging on her cheek as she tried to get up she noticed a group of poeple locked in a cage, then she noticed more people and more, she got up horrified of seeing hundreds of people locked in cages like animals, she turn around seeing the man with anger in her eyes.

"Look at them look at this animals crying asking for our help, ahh, all they did is attack us wiping our family out, killing us with no mercy."

Weiss shouted at the man asking him why would he do this to this poeple, the man looked at her. He revealed they that she is the next generation of the company and she need to put her emotions aside or abandon them, then a realization come up this man knows her, he knows her name, knows her past and life, this man is her father.

He smiled already knowing what she's thinking about, Weiss turned around immediately noticing the creature began shaking violently then the ground immediately started shaking violently as well, she turned looking back at the man and he was still smiling and unaffected by the shaking world, then his eyes turned red and slowly and slow his voice went from normal to distorted while he's talking, then she heard the growl from the monster and immediately turned around seeing the creature ready to pounce, she immediately moved out of the way of the creature began running but it wasn't aiming at her it was aiming at the man.

The creature attacked the man ripping him into pieces, Weiss was horrified but what for a frightened her the most is the blood that is scattering around was not red but instead black, she immediately turned around looking at the people who were trapped in cages but immediately her eyes widened as dinner plates noticing that they were all starting melting and this forming, like a bunch of wax figures melting by a strong Heat.

The ground started shaking even more to a point that Weiss couldn't stand properly, she didn't notice that the light in the room began dimming down she looked at the creature which is still tearing The Man Apart even full knowing that there isn't a body around anymore, she was scared no she was terrified, she doesn't know what to do she was trapped she grabbed her head and shut her eyes full knowing that the lights will go out and full knowing she has nowhere else to go, then suddenly she started hearing her own voice saying things that she does not want to hear ,bringing up topics she does not want to be involved with, bringing up things she does not even want to mention she was trapped and alone.

Has the room turned into empty void of Darkness Weiss was in the center, there was no noise, no sound, no echoes but the only sound she's hearing was her own voice and it was clear to hear, she can hear herself talking to someone else, she can tell whatever she did this person was not happy, she does not want to hear it anymore she doesn't want to be like that man, she wants to change and she will never become what that man imagine her to be.

As she sat there in the void she suddenly hear a completely different voice, a voice that feels at first irritating but then slowly and slowly begin to sound hopeful, she open her eyes and immediately notice someone was right in front of her, it was the mysterious red clove girl, Weiss couldn't see the figures face it was being covered by the Red Hood of the cloak, she slowly stand up and feels peaceful and happy for some reason, she slowly walked towards the figure and then she burst into a pile of roses. Weiss doesn't know what's going on but when the pedals finally cleared she immediately noticed a Rapier in a stone, she slowly walked towards it looking around seeing that the only light in this void was pointing at the Rapier.

When she walk towards it she suddenly hear the voices again except it sounds like an old man, then suddenly she started seeing visions of a young Warrior wielding a similar weapon like the Rapier, the more she got closer towards the weapon the more clearly the Visions are, showing her this person she's seen in her vision was a warrior, a savior, a protector then this Warrior got married have a child and then that child grew up and then also got married and have kids of her own but the marriage was not a happy one, but then she noticed the grandchildren of the warrior looks similar to her and she realized something, it's her and her siblings and she hears herself talking saying that she wants to bring honor to her family name.

She stopped the reaper was only a couple feet away from her, she looked at it she feels like a weight on her shoulders finally been lifted, she finally gets it now, she wants to separate herself from the man because she wants to honor her grandfather to be the warrior that he been she may lost her memories and these Vision she's getting are only a small faction of her life, she fully understands now she's a fighter, a protector. She gently and slowly lifted her arm and grab the handle of the Rapier and began to lift it, it did not move she pulled a little bit harder it was moving a little bit but it did not move, she grabbed the handle with both of her hands and began to lift it a lot harder now after a couple pulls it was finally free from the stone, as she looked at the Rapier mesmerized by the weapon she suddenly feel enlightened for some reason, then she looked down on the floor and immediately noticing a strange looking symbol on the ground it was black that almost looked like a snowflake, on Instinct she moved her arms with the Rapier and the symbol appeared in front of her, she doesn't know how but it just felt natural towards her.

Whatever she did the mysterious snowflake symbol started glowing brighter and brighter to the point that she has to close her eyes she couldn't see anything but she felt different suddenly she felt like the Rapier have disappeared from her hand, she couldn't see but she can feel it no longer there, then the light glow brightly even though she is covering her eyes and then she woke up.

Weiss bolt up accidentally hitting her head at the ceiling of the cage, she fall back down grabbing her head feeling the impact, she was breathing heavily and trying her best to calm herself down. She opened her eyes looked around her surroundings, noticing she is still inside the cave and still in the cage, but this time something was different, she turned her head and noticing the same little girl again.

The girl was looking at her feeling bit scared but at the same time worried for Weiss, she slowly walked towards her, her shoulders were up keeping guard just in case something bad happens but she's slowly calmed down when she was only a couple of feet away, Weiss gave the girl a small smile showing that everything is fine. The girl smiled back and sat down next to the cage full knowing that Weiss not going to do anything to her but that's not the only thing that Weiss looked down noticing that the girl was carrying a small bowl a fruit and meat, she looked at the food and her stomach growled she was very hungry and she doesn't remember the last time she ate, her nose pick up the scent and she immediately knows what it is grapes and meat although she doesn't know what meat it is it was cut well.

The girl gave Weiss the bowl of food still smiling, Weiss smell the food just remembering the satisfying smell of cooked food, she grabbed one of the meat and began eating it until she realized that the meat tastes very different of what she's well assume she used to tried but the exact same time it tastes good ,the girl was still smiling at her happy that Weiss like the food.

Outside the cave in the middle of the village, the villagers and the chief were all in the meeting discussing of their trap intruder although tensions were high most of the people were questioning why this girl was here, the people who found her explained that they found her on her own, with a strange clothing although soft and a very impressive craftsmanship. But the one thing that all of them all agree is that the girl looks very different from the one they are familiar with, her skin is light like snow her hair is also White and she's far too thin but yet the exact same time she doesn't look like she's starving to death, but she has muscle, this got everyone in the village to be confused but the one that is the most strangest is the fact is she healed herself. When the people found her in the mountains her hands were black meaning she has frostbites but when they brought her to the village and put her next to the fire to keep her warm, everyone saw a strange glowing light around the girl and slowly they noticed that the black area around her fingers are starting to fade returning back to her natural skin color at first everyone was taken back, but they all suddenly realized this is something different.

"Could she be a spirit?" Said one of the villagers this got a lot of muttering in the group everyone knows that you cannot heal like that, if your skin is black the only way to fix that is to surgically remove them everyone knows that but this girl proved that she can heal on her own, but they all know her healing abilities has limits knowing she has a scar in her left eye. Everyone looked at their chief wondering what he's thinking he's the only one out of everyone who had talked to her, as the Chief explain the girl has no knowledge of their situation, she has no knowledge of her own kind even stated that her kind will never do this and looking by her reaction she felt devastated even horrified, this got everyone in the village to start questioning is this girl really a threat or is she just some girl who got lost, but this does bring up another question If This Girl Is Lost could this mean there could be other people just like her who has a strong healing ability.

The People who found her explained there are no signs of others, even no tracks where she was walking, its like she appeared out of nowhere. As the villagers discussed this the chief explained that he made a deal with Weiss explaining if she wants to earn their trust, she will stay in the cage as long as he wants, most people disagree with this but others see it as a reasonable option since she could be the only one in the area, and if the claims are true that she has no connections with the enemy tribes then this would be less complicated, but the real question that everyone in the village are wondering how long was she stay in the cage because frankly they highly doubted that they're going to let her out, no matter if she is with or without the Enemy tribe she just look exactly like the enemy. The Neanderthal villagers all agree but it's only on their chief discussion, the villagers agree with the chief no matter what there chief never disappointed or harmed his people, so if he made a deal and he wants to let Weiss out then he will let her out.

And if the villagers are going to let Weiss out, then it's a waiting game most of the villagers are going to be ready in case Weiss is ready to escape or harm them, so they would be ready to attack in case she does but yet at the exact same time this does give them an advantage, sure Weiss is not a part of their enemy tribe but at the exact same time it would help them to learn more about their enemies, how they eat, how they sleep, how they fight but the exact same time, everyone all agree, only the chieftain of course he saw what Weiss reaction is she is nothing like the enemy tribe but he will not let his guard down he will not make that mistake again so he will be prepared in case.

Back at the cave Weiss began talking to the little girl, the girl revealed her name to be Utep the two talked for hours Weiss told the girl about, her of the dream she had, seeing the strange looking people and seeing an evil man of her father and the strange monsters in horrific Acts she felt inside, she doesn't know why but the one that shocked her the most was the weapon, and that strange glyphs she saw in her dreams, she doesn't know why but they are very familiar especially the girl with the Red Hood, Weiss doesn't know why but she felt at peace when this girl is around, she felt irritated but the same time joyful, she didn't even know why but she hopes her memories will come back and she will find out who she is and how does she end up here.

The girl was sitting on the ground paying close attention listening to the story of Weiss dream, she was a bit scared worried for Weiss, but then she escaped which gave her felt of relief, she doesn't know why but at least Weiss was okay, nightmares happen especially the scariest one that makes you don't want to go to sleep.

Then the girl realized that Weiss was not paying attention but instead looking in the ground, no she wasn't looking in the ground she was looking at her hands, the girl tilted her head questioning what is Weiss thinking. Weiss in the other hand she looked at her hands remembering the dream she had, it's like a part of her is telling her to move her hands in a type of specific movement to activate something, something that is wanting to get out like a caged animal.

She raised her arms in the air pointing at a wall she doesn't know what she's doing it's like second nature to her, she began rotating her fingers, at first she find this movement kind of ridiculous even the girl who is watching her tilted her head even more in confusion, but later when Weiss thinks about what she's trying to do, a White glyph appeared only a couple inches away of her hands Weiss and the girl immediately stood back in shock of a sudden appearance of the glyph. The girl ran hiding behind a rock and then looked back at the glyph, Weiss was still inside the cage but see the glyph only a couple feet away from her, she saw the glyph with its whites presents spinning it looked unnatural but yet it looks normal towards her.

The two girls slowly walk towards the floating glyph until it faded away, the little girl eyes widen like dinner plates completely shocked of what she saw, it was magic she saw magic, she has no words and for the very first time she was utterly speechless, Weiss in the other hand she was also speechless but that feeling inside of her that wants to come out of the cage, that feeling that wants her to continue.

Weiss raised her arms in the air again this time she didn't notice them, it was like her body took over on its own, she began to move her fingers until another glyph appeared this time the two girls didn't stood back, the girl was still speechless but Weiss face was something familiar like a part of her slowly slowly picking out of the cage, but then Weiss grew irritated realizing she was very close to get her memory back, but she looked at the glyph she can't help it but smile at it now that the glyphs she summoned is her ability, she needs to keep it quiet she doesn't want the chief to be more worried about her but that would be another problem the girl.

Weiss told Utep not to tell anyone of what she saw at first the little girl was a bit upset that she have to keep that a secret, Weiss explained even more that if her father finds out that she has powers then they're not going to let her out of the cage, even though she may be here for a while. Weiss even explained that her and Utep are good friends and Friends promise to keep secrets, although Utep was a bit hesitant at first even for knowing that her dad may Scare for lot of people she knows he won't do anything to her, but she promised to keep the secret from her dad even the villagers for Weiss safety.

It's been a couple of days of the first two glyphs that Weiss have summoned, she was still inside the cage only seen a small glimpse of the outside world of the cave, Utep who brings her food and water even little girl started telling her things outside the cave, the two girls talk to each other even more, then Weiss started growing somewhat of an attachment towards the little girl like a little sister, she used to be like this little girl filled with excitement towards someone else, Weiss started thinking does she have any siblings, does she have a younger sibling or an older sibling but in her mine she felt she could have both, but she doesn't know why she feels more comfortable with the older one but that put that aside.

Weiss even started telling the little girl thinks she knows, well things she hasn't forgotten like this game called chess at first it was a bit confusing for little girl but in a couple of days she finally got it, but Weiss can tell that the little girl is not a very patient one, even sometimes struggles to make the most simplest moves but Weiss knows the girl is still young.

Another couple of days have passed and Utep is still practicing how to play chess correctly but she wasn't the only one who saw her doing this her father walked up towards her tilting his head questioning why does she have all these carved bone pieces are there her toys Utep explain.

"this is a game that Weiss taught how to play, It's called chess it's a strategy game."

The father was a bit confused he heard of games but a game that you sit down, that's something new he looked at the game.

"Weiss taught you how to play this?"

The girl nodding but she doesn't know how to explain it, the way that Weiss explained it was a big complex but she managed to make it simpler for Utep to understand, the father turned looking at the cave where weiss is at, he looked back at his daughter then began walking towards the cave.

Weiss was still inside the cage a little bit bored and all she was doing is playing with a few rocks, until she heard footsteps, she turned her head seeing the Chief walking towards her, Weiss did see the chief a couple of times but this time the chief was a bit more curious, when the chief stop he looked at Weiss and told her about the game that his daughter is playing this game that is called chess.

Weiss smiled at the big man she brought out several carved figures the Chieftain look at them they look similar to the one that his daughter is playing with Weiss brought out a thin plate of wood which she use one of the chalk to carve out many squares then placing the figures on the square the man still is a bit confused but yet fascinated by this strange game when everything was set up Weiss explain the game she went full detail explaining it how to play the game and how to strategize and how to use the type of specific moves while playing she went on and on and on until she slowly realized that the chieftain did not understand what she said.

"Oh sorry I think I went too much this must be a big confusing for you as well."

She took a deep breath and explained in a simple and understanding root.

"The ones in the front roll these are called pawns they are your soldiers, your Warriors, the ones that goes on the front lines, and can move one square at a time however when you capture a piece with a pawn the pawn move diagonally."

The man nods showing he understands, so Weiss continues.

"Now the ones in the corner back row are called rooks they're the tower, rooks can only move vertically or horizontally but they can move as many squares that you want."

"The ones that are next to the Rooks are called knights which usually they look like horses, the knights can only move in an L pattern where the long part of the L is two squares and the short part is one square, knights are the only pieces on the board that can jump other pieces which normal pieces don't."

"Then the one next to the knights are called the bishop, the Bishops can only move diagonally but they can move as many squares as you want."

"Finally the last two pieces are called king and queen, they are the leader of the group if you are looking at the board, the Queen should be placed on the left and the King should be placed on the right, the queen can move vertically, horizontally or diagonally and she can move as many spaces as you want, the king can move in any direction as well but he can move only one square at a time, those are the pieces and the goal of the game is to capture the opponent's king while protecting your own, the player must capture their opponent's king wins."

The chieftain looked at the board and he nodded his head understanding the game now, so they began playing the game although it was a bit difficult at first for the man but unlike the little girl who is still a child and still learning, the man was much older, much wiser and much more cautious, the man was a leader and a leader must make a plan, Weiss was a bit surprised that how fast the man figure out how to play the game correctly, although there were a few times he almost forgot some of the things the pieces can do but either way they had fun playing the game, sure Weiss may have won the game but the man had fun as well and enjoyed it as well, after the game the man walked out of the cave with a small smiling.

A week have just passed and Weiss was sleeping Inside the Cage until she woke up hearing someone tapping on her shoulder getting her to wake up, as she woke up she sees the chieftain except this time he was holding a piece of rope and his face was not the same face that he normally does when he's around Weiss, this time it's the same face that he did when he first met her the man explains that he's going to let her out the cage except he's going to tie the rope around her hands just to make sure she doesn't escape, Weiss was a bit hesitant at first but she complied she let the man tie the rope around her arms as the chieftain open the cage she is finally took her first step in a while, which got her to be wobbling in her first step but, as she started walking again the man was holding a piece of rope that was attached to her tied up hands, she followed him leaving the cave and for the first time Weiss was Blinded by the Light and as her eyes adjusted she finally saw the outside world for the very first time and it was cold.

She looked around the area noticing how big the village is realizing that the village is connected to a large edge of a mountain, she immediately shook when she heard a very loud noise, she turned around on the far Edge of the village seeing several of the Hunters pulling what looks like to be a giant hairy elephants, Weiss doesn't know why but something about that giant elephant feels familiar but she was brought back to reality when she felt the pull from the chieftain, Weiss gave an apologetic face as they continue arriving in the center of the village.

She looked around noticing that everyone in the village has showed up for her, she doesn't know why but she felt kind of uncomfortable this is her first time seeing the villagers, she turned her head noticing Utep in the far corner. The chieftain finally stopped next to a wooden pole that is sticking out of the ground, he tied up the Rope on the pole then leave to sit where he's supposed to be.

Weiss looked around even more noticing the forest in the far distance, she can see the trees were massive almost reaching the sky, the mountains circle around the whole land it looked amazing but she cannot focus on that, she needs to focus on why they brought her out and she needs to pay attention very carefully what they're going to say. Everyone in the village were giving Weiss an unacceptable face, she already aware that her kind cause so much problems, and she understand why they have a huge distrust of her, but she already told the chieftain she is nothing like her kind. The chieftain raised his hand getting everyone to stop talking, as soon he lowered his hand the court has begun.

"Weiss schnee you're here by put on trial we understand that you don't have any involvement with the Enemy tribe, but many of the villagers even me still don't trust you because you are the same species as our enemies, so this is a trial for you to understand, you see everyone in the entire Village respect me even though my choices could be questioned, they still loyal me so no matter what decision I choose they will accept it."

Weiss listen very carefully she looked at the villagers some of them still don't trust her but yet they do show their loyalty to their Chieftain, as discussion continues Weiss never lose her focus and pay attention very closely what the Chiefs saying, the deal that her and the chief made is still on the table although she's not on the cage she will remain in the cage or have her arms tied up, but she revealed that she's not going anywhere and she will earn their trust no matter how long it takes, some of the villagers scoffed but others were a bit surprised.

A couple of hours have passed and Weiss was given the choice to look around the village although she can not walk around the village due to her arm being tied up to a pole, at least she can stand up and move a couple of times, she mostly sat on the ground looking in the far distance of the forest, she is still amazed how enormous the trees are far away they look big and her mind thinking if they're very close they could be huge, but the peaceful time was sadly over a piece of rotten fruit flew hitting Weiss face although it wasn't a hard fruit she was distorted, as her vision came back she turned her head and where the person through it and she see a couple of kids looking at her, she sees them holding the piece of fruit in their hands all of them were giving her a glare one of them was well a teenager and the others look like a group of small children, Weiss pays no attention to them and continue looking on the distance she will earn these people Trust so she will not pay attention to it, but that was easier said than done.

Another fruit was thrown hitting Weiss in the face again then another then a whole bombardment of fruits was hitting her, she covered her face for she won't get hit as the throwing stopped she turned looking at the direction where those people were throwing fruit at her, and suddenly she realized the teenager boy was closely to her. He was a couple feet away from her, Weiss looked down seeing the boy holding a clab she looked up seen the boys face, his face was filled with anger which she understands why, the boy raised the club and slamming it on the ground next to Weiss, she dodged the attack but the boy raised the club again, this time going to hit Weiss directly until they heard a loud shout getting the boy to stop, as turn around they see the chieftain running towards the boy and immediately grabbing the club and pushing the boy on the ground.

"WHAT ARE YOU DOING STUPID BOY?!"

"She's an enemy, her people murder our people she deserves to die!"

"ENOUGH!!"

The chieftain screamed even louder getting the boy to stop this got the attention of everyone in the village, the chieftain points The Club at the boy who is still on the ground telling him do not harm the girl, he even told some of the villagers if the boy attacks Weiss again break the boy legs this got the boy to immediately panic and by the reaction the chief knows the boy would never do this again.

The chieftain turned around looking at Weiss then decided to walk back to his tent she looked around seeing everyone but then they all went back where they were doing originally, she even turned back looking at the kids who were with the boy who suddenly dropped the fruit they were about to throw at her and left. Weiss took a deep sigh knowing this is going to take a while as the the day it has been almost another week since Weiss been tied up, although there was a few times where the chieftain let her wrist breathe but other than that she is still keeping her word, she turned her head noticing the giant elephant they caught a couple weeks ago is still fighting back, she knows that they're going to kill the elephant to use it meat and the fur it's all about survival in this wilderness, but yet all she is doing is waiting she doesn't know how for a normal person they will get bored or go crazy but for Weiss she's different and she knows that.

She looked at herself immediately noticing that her clothes were starting to get torn and ripped and dirtied, maybe in a couple of weeks her clothes will be no longer in use Weiss let her hair loose in the end of the first week, the people who saw her hair were immediately surprised her hair was pitch white like the snow, a lot of people who still think Weiss is a spirit still has High Hopes she is one because deep down they know that no one here has white skin unless they're very ill, the chieftain was sitting next to his daughter watching the whole village but the daughter was still looking at Weiss, shaking her feet waiting for Weiss to be free but she understand her father is doing this to protect the whole village, but she couldn't bear herself see a friend of hers being treated very poorly, I mean sure if it gets cold the chieftain will bring her a coat and is she hungry, they always bring her food but always tied up like a animal, she couldn't bear it anymore. The girl turned looking at her father asking him how long it will take for Weiss to be trusted by the people.

The father explained that depends how Weiss Acts although she is sitting there very patiently waiting for her to be free and be trusted by the people, the chieftain has to be honest he was a bit surprised and impressed by Weiss determination but for now he needs to put that aside and see if she is to be trusted, the girl did not like the response of her father so to clear her mind she decided to walk towards Weiss and sat next to her, the father immediately knows that she started growing an attachment to the prisoner, Weiss isn't a bad person but deep down it was just fatherly instincts that wanted to protect his little girl, The Woolly Mammoth was still swinging around until it picked up one of the hunters and throw him away creating an opening, which the mammoth took it slamming through out of the cage and immediately started destroying the village, the hunters and the villagers immediately grabbed their Spears, bows and went on the attack, the children were taken away to a safe location for they won't get her during the attack.

Weiss stand up and realize she was still tied up she looked back at the battle she sees the mammoth literally picking up and slamming the people killing them and hurting them, the giant elephant was not done it was destroying many homes Weiss immediately tries to yank the Rope away but she is still tied up, she doesn't know why she's just stay here and wait she's not supposed to escape but something inside of her was telling her to save them, to stop the giant creature she doesn't know why, on the battle the mammoth was swinging its mighty trunk punching, grabbing and slamming anyone who is close by the mammoth was getting many Spears and arrows on its body but it wasn't even slowing down, it was in pure hydrenaline making it even more dangerous.

Weiss tries her best to escape but she is still tied up until she heard someone screaming she turned seeing a hunter being thrown into the edge of the mountain with a big thump Who falls down lifeless on the ground, this got Weiss to immediately started moving even faster trying to rip the Rope or try pulling it or anything trying to escape, the mammoth was getting closer to the center of the village it was killing many of the hunters and villagers, the chieftain was there trying to push the animal back but the mighty creature was not giving up, the mammoth grabbed one of the Spears and yanked it away from the chieftain then the mighty Mammoth rose up in the air standing on its hind legs and was about to slam on the chieftain luckily he dodged out of the way but the mammoth Mighty slam shook the grounds.

Weiss pull the ropes even harder and she can feel the ropes bearing through her skin as she pull it harder then she freed her arms, she is now free and on Instinct as the elephant was about to rise again to slam a finishing blow Weiss ran towards the giant creature grabbing one of the Spears and on Instinct she moved her arms causing the elephant to freeze as the animal was confused, everyone in the village immediately saw a giant glyph under the elephant they all turned looking at Weiss whose suddenly summon another glyph this time behind her, it was massive until something was leaving the glyph it was a large icicle.

The giant Mammoth finally freed itself and immediately started charging at Weiss but on instinct she through the giant icicle towards the mammoth getting a direct hit on the giant creature, as the creature fall down sliding towards Weiss it finally stopped dead on the ground, as the battle was finally over everyone in the village immediately started coming out the children and the hunters started taking it inside of relief happy that the creature is already dead, but they immediately noticed that Weiss was not there everyone began to panic and immediately grabbed their weapon preparing for trouble, they found Weiss who was at the edge of the village looking at the distance Forest some of the hunters were about to shoot an arrow at Weiss but they were stopped by the chieftain, they were questioning why did he stop them until everyone noticed that Weiss was not running away they were a bit confused, Weiss was at the edge of the gate she was literally only need a couple of steps forward to escape but she just stand there.

Weiss was looking at the forest but she turned around seeing the entire villagers looking at her, she looked back at the Village full knowing that she could just Escape but deep inside she couldn't just leave, she looked back at the villagers seeing Utep next to her father, everyone eyes widen as Weiss begin walking back towards the village as she made it to the center, no one dared to touch her she passed everyone who is still pointing their weapons at her but slowly put them down, when she was in the center of the village she grabbed the rope and typed it back to her hands and sat back on the ground, many people here was shocked even the chieftain was shocked and yet he smiled which got the attention of his little daughter it was also smiled by the his actions now.

A couple hours has passed and the villagers have started to rebuilding and repairing the damage area has everyone's doing their part, the chieftain walk towards Weiss and decided to sit down next to her she turn looking at him only a little bit and then look back at the directions she was looking at before the chieftain looked at her smiled.

"You know everyone in the entire Village was a bit surprised, you could have just left but you stayed."

"I know but you don't need to worry I'm not planning to go anywhere."

"You didn't tell us you have magic?"

"I know but to be honest I did not know I have them as well."

As they continue talking the chieftain revealed something that surprised Weiss even more, he revealed that tomorrow he's going to have a meeting with the entire villagers to discuss of about her, Weiss is fully is aware what is he talking about At first she felt like a small sigh of relief but at the exact same time it's too early to assume, but the exact same time she did keep her word she smiled at the Chieftain looking at him then Utep sat right next to Weiss happy that she's okay.

As they sat there looking at the people Weiss revealed something she told the chieftain about her dreams saying that she saw many people in cages not just her kind but others and it bother and shamed her, she doesn't want that to happen. The chieftain looked at her understanding what she's thinking all his life he knows about fighting and surviving, he is very much aware that there are some tribes that capture his kind and lock them in cages either to kill them or torture them, seeing Weiss reaction of the dream felt horrified by it the chieftain looked at Weiss he raised his hand and patting her on the back. Weiss Eyes widen and for the first time that feeling, that comfortable feeling of someone who actually is concern about her a feeling that she only experienced in her memories came back, she turned looking at the chief she smiled at him and the chief smiled back although they are different they're still human.

The next day the entire Village were in another meeting, Weiss was in the center of it and she was standing the chieftain walked up to her.

"My people we are here to discuss the trial of Weiss Schnee as you remembered me and her have made a deal, if she stays in the cage or locked up without escaping we will earn her Trust even though she may look our enemy tribe, she risks her own life to save our own people!"

The villagers nodded their head in agreement understanding fully what their Chieftain is saying, but the one thing that surprise Weiss was what the chief was going to say next and by the reaction of the villagers they were aware of it.

"Although why did keep a word she did broke our deal."

Weiss was confused she didn't break the deal she kept her word she didn't Escape what is he talking about, until she realized what he's talking about the time she freed herself to save him during the mammoth attack, she smacked her head filled with mixed feelings she feels angry at herself but yet angry at the chieftain, she risked her own life to save him and yet he said she broke the deal.

"However although she did break the deal she repaired it by saving my life and the people in this Village, by that I'm in her debt she's in all of our debt and by that she earned my respect and the village."

The chieftain turn looking at Weiss carrying a small knife she looked at him now fully understand what he's talking about, as the chieftain walk towards her he grabbed the rope and cut her free, she smiled at him and he smiled back the chieftain raise his hand showing the cut rope and everyone started chanting, after the trial Weiss was standing on the edge of the village she wasn't the only one the chieftain and his daughter was there watching her, Weiss was standing there and realizing that she can leave.

"Are you leaving?"

"Do not worry little one she's free, she has nothing to worry about."

She was not looking at them but heard them clearly in her mind she's finally free and can just leave the village but yet the exact same time she felt something inside her, telling her not to go she turned around looking at the two Neanderthals and told them something that they were not expecting, she decided to stay with them in village everything that the chieftain told her about the other tribes that treat their people poorly, and they don't have that much in numbers. Weiss is going to try her best to protect them although she may not look like them she will protect them, the chieftain was surprised but smiled he walked towards Weiss placing his hand on her shoulders.

"If you're going to protect our people you have a lot to learn from us, at this very moment I will teach you everything that I know and I will train you and care for you as you were my child."

"I have a big sister now!"

Weiss smiled at the two Neanderthals as they walked back towards the village the chieftain told the villager that Weiss have decided to stay and protect them, although their trust on Weiss is mostly on the chieftain it is going to be slow trusting her, many days later Weiss training began learning how to survive in the wilderness, how do I identify what is edible and which is not and how to craft weapons and tools, although Weiss did struggle a few times it did reveal her creative side using her glyphs in combat, and what surprised the hunters even more that Weiss have made a lightweight spear, that she can hold with one hand although it does not the same as the other Spears this fits perfectly for Weiss for some reason.

Other Weiss does not have her her memories for some reason she felt at home and the chieftain and Utep they felt like although not her family but it felt right, well there's one thing that Weiss thought about she wonders if there could be others out there like her, people with special abilities, people who also lost their memories and if there are, she hopes that they're in her side, but the one that bothered her the most is who is the Red Cloak girl.

In the other side of the valley a place where there's only a grassland on the edge of the forest a group of humans who are walking trying to hunt, one of them have spotted a black leopard on the tall grass he raised his hand getting the hunters attention realizing they're not alone, as they squat down hiding on the Tall Grass they slowly walk towards the black leopard, realizing that the leopard was sleeping as they got closer and closer they ready their Spears and arrows ready to attack as they're about to strike they all stop, realize something strange it was a girl, a girl wearing a strange black and white clothing, but what shocked them even more is they notice that the girl had cat ears at first they thought she was wearing some kind of headwear, but as they got closer they realized it's real the girl is half cat for some reason, but they have to put the Curiosity to the side as they looked up realizing that the sky is starting to turn dark, the hunters realized they cannot leave the girl but they have some questions for her so one of them picked her up checking if she's alive, and she is so they left the area returning back to their Village.
