Camp Castaways

POV. Third person

Chris is standing on the Dock of Shame, " last time on Total Drama Island. In a special episode, we visited the kicked off campers at the Resort of Rejects, Playa Des Losers," the various campers are seen goofing around the resort, "where we find out how the losers feel about their experience on the show, hear their opinions about the love life of one of the most valued campers in the competition, and we asked them who they thought deserved to win. In a shocking twist, we let the losers vote off one of the final five campers and in an even more shocking twist, it was Leshawna who found herself in Loserville, population: eighteen. Who will be voted off this week in the most dramatic campfire ceremony yet? Find out tonight on TOTAL... DRAMA... ISLAND!".

POV. Cody

"Listen up, campers," Chris announced over the loudspeakers, though I was the only one standing on the porch of the boys' cabin hearing it, "One of the most grueling challenges of any summer camp experience is the dreaded rain day!" which you caused "Where all activities with a remote possibility of fun are canceled in favor of the Craft Tent. The forecast for tomorrow: rain, rain, and more rain, followed by rain! See you all in the Craft Tent tomorrow at 0700 hours," the host ended his announcement.

I was sitting cross-legged with my back leaning against the wall of the cabin as I watched the pouring rain, "I wonder if Chris is aware that the people who remain chose to ignore his announcement."

Tomorrow would be the unofficial challenge of the castaways. I didn't plan on preventing it from happening, mainly because I couldn't think of an effective way to anchor the cabins to the ground, plus doing so would mean staying here facing a situation I wouldn't be aware of. I prefer to keep things as close to the original timeline as much as possible, otherwise I might get into a lot of unknown trouble.

At the very least I filled the cabin with some supplies and got hold of Owen's secret stash, I'm surprised Geoff or Izzy hadn't found it before I did.

Last week LeShawna was kicked out just like the first time, which means I haven't completely changed the story yet, there are still crossover events bound to happen, even if they happen differently. Now there are only four of us left, just two more challenges to go, I'd love for things to end there for all of us, but even if the winner were to turn down the million bucks (which I doubt considering who the other three are) our contract states that we have to participate in a second season if Chris so desires. Fuck the fine print.

Not to mention the third one, two seasons of enormous fame and a long period of abstinence trying to succeed on our own were more than enough for absolutely all of us to come back for more, including me, although in my case I was more than anything happy to see my friends after a while with the Drama Brothers... I can't believe we really succeeded with that terrible idea, even though I proposed it.

So I know that no matter what I try, I can't stop the show, not when fate and Chris are working to make it happen.

All I can do is avoid damage and hope for the best. I envy the second and third generation a bit, Chris didn't have them long enough to permanently ruin their lives, some left as unpunished as they came... except Dave, but that was partly his own fault.

Speaking of changes, none of the original four finalists remain, even though some things remained the same, I did enough to achieve this result.

I scratched my neck, I had a noticeable bite mark, that encounter Izzy and I had in the trailer was just the first, we did it a couple more times in the last few days.

And people thought I was a perv, my eccentric girlfriend is no slouch, she can be pretty insatiable sometimes. It's a good thing no one has caught us yet. But I know it's only a matter of time before Izzy spills the beans.

I guess I'll just accept it and move on with my life, what you gonna do?

My thoughts were interrupted by Courtney's soaked figure glaring at me angrily.

"Where are Geoff and Izzy?" she asked sulkily.

"What did those two do now?" I asked intrigued.

"I went to the bathroom and when I got back to the cabin, none of my stuff was there."

"...", seriously?, "they're inside", I got up to follow her, now I was curious about what was going on.

Courtney burst in the door, "Why did you steal my stuff!?", wow, straight to the point.

Izzy was lying on my bed reading a magazine about lawn mowers, Geoff was sitting on the top bunk of his bed, eating mini pretzels, "Hi Courtney, what's up buddy?" the party animal asked.

Courtney looked around the cabin, her things were arranged on top of Owen's bunk, "Why did you steal my things!?" she scolded them.

"I did it," Izzy said, raising her hand enthusiastically and without a hint of fear.

"Why!?"

"So you could move here, dah~," she said as if it were obvious.

"Why the hell should I move here?" said Courtney, now more confused than anything.

"Izzy thought you were lonely now that Leshawna was gone, so she brought your stuff so you could stay with us," Geoff explained.

"That's ridiculous, no offense to the two guys, but I don't think it's appropriate for boys and girls to share a room," she said somewhat self-consciously, just wait until Wourld Tour darling.

"Come on Courtney, it's going to be fun, besides, it's just the four of us," I said giving my support to the idea, it feels bad that she is left alone in the other cabin, not to mention that it will be easier to handle the shipwreck thing now.

Courtney looked at me with greater suspicion and a blush, "I don't want to hear that from the perverted resident of the camp," she told me, wow, she doesn't trust me at all.

"Hahahahahaha, she's right Cody, what are you thinking?" said Izzy, you're not the one to talk, I have scratch marks on my back because of you, honey.

I threw my hands up, "alright it's okay, if you want to move your stuff in this weather I won't stop you," I told her.

Courtney looked out the window just as the storm intensified and lightning began to strike. What a good timing, I hope Kevin is okay wherever he is.

Courtney just grunted and went to sit on the bed of her new bunk all sulking, well that's resolved.

I noticed that Izzy was looking at me mockingly, "What?"

"Now you're trying to get into Courtney's pants? Wow, honey, you never cease to amaze me," she told me cheekily.

I widened my eyes and immediately turned red, "What!? Why do you say that!?"

"If I remember correctly... you bothered Heather all the time, didn't you? Oh, could you remind me how that turned out? Hahahahaha."

I had a dismayed look on my face as she laughed like a lunatic.

Confessional.

Cody

"Oh, shit".

End of confessional.

I didn't realize I was doing the same thing, even though that wasn't my intention. Luckily Courtney was checking her things and wasn't paying attention to us.

"Izzy, do you want to stop assuming that all my interactions with other girls are attempts at flirting?", plus you're my girlfriend, I'm sure it wouldn't be normal for you to find it so funny... on the other hand you're Izzy, what the fuck am I talking about?

She looked me straight in the eye, "no, because that's exactly what you do, you can't lie to someone with a hundred and eighty-eight intellect," she said arrogantly, Brainzilla maybe, but you?

I sighed and sat on the bed, there was no point in arguing with her when she got like this, she's not even serious, she's just trying to make fun of me.

"Why are the bunk beds tied with ropes?" asked Courtney when she saw ropes on the legs of the beds.

"Cody put them on, risk of flooding and all that," Geoff replied, he had his hat over his face, looking like he was getting ready for bed.

"That's a very good idea," she told me.

I smiled, "thank you."

"Muack~, muack~, muack~, muack~", Izzy made kissing sounds, "mmm", I placed a pillow on her head, she just laughed.

"Oh, is she going to bed with you?" asked Courtney.

"Believe me, even if I get her out she'll come back, she's like an abandoned dog," I replied.

"Woof, woof".

Courtney just sighed and lay down on the bed, it looks like she resigned, I looked outside one last time, "it's going to be a hectic night."

-0-

I felt like I was drifting away, it felt kind of nice.

"Wake up everyone!" shouted Courtney.

I jumped up, I could feel the cabin rocking. We were in the water.

"Oh no, the cabin came alive and now it's trying to digest us!" was the first thing Izzy said when she woke up.

"Don't be ridiculous!" Courtney scolded her.

"Do you have a better guess Miss CIT?", wow, catfight.

Courtney looked outside, "actually yes," she came out and we followed.

Water, it's everything around us, miles and miles of water.

"The rain must have flooded the camp last night and the currents washed the cabins into the lake," Courtney's eye quivered, "which wouldn't have happened if Chris invested in flood equipment."

Confessional.

Chris

"With how expensive they are? Don't even think about it."

End of confessional.

"What did you say about the cabins, Izzy?" she asked arrogantly.

"Pff, clearly the cabins became amphibious beings to survive the flood, hello, it's basic evolution," Izzy replied, when she doesn't want to give in, she doesn't.

"What you're saying is illogical!" said Courtney angrily.

"Well, what you say is beyond logical!" replied Izzy.

They both looked into each other's eyes like two wild beasts about to attack, I could swear I saw sparks clashing, I backed away a little scared, "hey, I think I'm going to wake Geoff up".

Confessional.

Cody

He seemed a little anxious, "Courtney and Izzy have very different views on life, and neither likes to be corrected... yes, this trip won't be easy or pretty," he now looked more optimistic, "the good thing is that I have Geoff to help me handle the situation."

End of confessional.

I went in to wake Geoff up, I'm surprised he's still asleep after all the fuss outside.

However, when I looked in the direction of his bed, it was gone. My eyes widened, "girls... We have a problem."

They both dropped their argument and came to see what was going on.

"Oh my," Courtney was just like me.

"Where did Geoff go?" asked Izzy, that's what I'd like to know.

I checked the floor, clearly water came in and dragged out the bed, but they were supposed to be tied with ropes.

I found a piece of the rope that held his bed, "this is gnawed, but who could... have...? Izzy!" I turned to look at my girlfriend who was already trying to run away.

"I'm sorry! I ran out of branches to chew on and kind of nibbled on some of your ropes... oops," she said sadly.

"Geoff's lost somewhere because of you!" yelled Courtney.

"Oh no, now we only have Cody to repopulate the land!"

"I already told you that the world hasn't been flooded! Forget that nonsense once and for all!", how much did their argument escalate when I left them alone that it came to that?

"..."

"..."

"You can do it with him first if that calms you down once and for all."

Courtney busted red with blush, "Izzy!" I scolded her.

"What?"

Confessional.

Izzy

"I thought he'd be more excited about the idea... I don't think I know my sweet boy enough yet."

Courtney

"Was Izzy always so perverted? Did dating Cody make her like this?", now she had an alarmed look, "Are they going to make me a pervert if I stay long enough with them!?".

End of confessional.

"Well, I get it, I thought since you and I already did it would be fairer to give her a turn first this time."

Silence reigned at Izzy's words, my eyes and Courtney's were wide open. I slapped my forehead, I knew she would say it at some point and yet I was caught off guard.

"YOU GUYS DID WHAT!?", I don't know where you are Geoff, but I'm pretty sure you could hear that.

Confessional.

Chris and Chef

Chris and chef were in the booth, "Did those two do it? Wow, teenagers and camps, dude, bad combination," Chef shook his head, "... Luckily, if the camera didn't record it, then it didn't happen, and therefore, I'm not legally responsible," he said winking at the camera.

End of confessional.

POV. Geoff

*Peck, peck*

"Mmm~," I felt something nice in my ear, "mmm~ Bridgette, that feels great~"

"Squawk!"

"AHHH!" that woke me up, "Kevin? What are you doing inside the cabin? Did Izzy leave the door open again?"

"Squawk."

My eyes widened when I realized I wasn't in the cabin.

"WHERE AM I!?"

Confessional.

Geoff

"Okay, it's not the first time I've woken up in an unfamiliar place after going to sleep, but it's the first time I've ended up in the water."

End of confessional.

"Okay, don't panic, the water will surely take me ashore at any time, until then I'll just relax."

Then a fin swam past the bed, and my eyes widened again.

POV. Cody

I thought that the hardest part of the shipwreck challenge would be starvation, the madness of the sea (even though we are in a lake), the possible betrayal of a companion or ending up in some cannibal's meal.

"Of all the reckless things you two have done as individuals and as a couple...!" the CIT reneged as she paced back and forth.

Instead of any of the fun things mentioned above, I found myself listening to Courtney's boring talk about sexuality.

"Kisses and cuddles are one thing, but for something like that you're supposed to wait until marriage..."

It reminds me a bit of the talk I had with the student advisor, he would scold me about everything, yet he would read all the adult magazines he confiscated.

"I'm sure you haven't even been using protection..."

I thought the time to get to the island would be shorter, again, don't underestimate the power of editing, and you know what's the worst part of all this?

"Zzzzz".

It was the fact that Izzy fell asleep at the beginning of the scolding, and Courtney still didn't realize it. She was currently sleeping peacefully with her head on my shoulder while I had to endure Courtney's scolding.

I covered her nose with my fingers.

"..."

"..."

"Panting."

She was immediately awakened by shortness of breath, "if I have to listen to her, you'll do it too, this was your fault to begin with," I scolded her.

"But she's so boring!" was her desperate lament.

"I know, I've been listening to her for an hour."

"And one more thing-"

*Crash*

"Woah!" Courtney fell to the ground as the cabin came to a screeching halt.

"Looks like we've made it to land," I said.

"Freedom!" Izzy ran out of the cabin.

"Wait! It could be dangerous!" Courtney ran after her.

I took my backpack and some of the provisions, we wouldn't be here more than a day, so we didn't need to carry everything.

When I came out, I saw Izzy rolling in the sand, while Courtney surveyed the surroundings, I approached the latter.

"It's a different island, it looks uninhabited," she said, then realized something, "Are those coconut trees?"

Yes, this island in the middle of Muskoka had coconut palms, but what surprises me the most is that Courtney didn't notice that all the plants here were in pots.

I understand it from the original team, Owen is clueless and the other three were ignorant to it, but Courtney?

I don't think I'm going to say anything, I'm morbidly curious to see if she realizes it on her own.

"Why are there coconut trees in the middle of Muskoka?" asked the CIT, surprised.

"Because it's a desert island, that's why," was Izzy's reply.

Courtney took a deep breath to calm herself, Izzy was pushing her to her limit.

"In any case, we need to prepare a signal to let the rescue team know that we are here."

"Hahahaha," Izzy was laughing so hard that tears were coming to her eyes.

Confessional.

Chris and Chef

"Hahahahahahahahahahahaha".

End of confessional.

Courtney's eye was trembling again, "What's so funny now?" she asked through gritted teeth.

"Do- do you rea- do you really think, that Chris, haha, that Chris is going to send a rescue team? Hahahahahaha," Izzy said laughing wildly.

Courtney turned red, this time from embarrassment instead of anger, then slapped her face, "You're right, what the hell am I thinking? But he can't let us die here, can he?" she asked me this time.

"Technically no, but I doubt he'll make an effort to find us, we could be here for a while," I meant it, he didn't lift a finger to help last time, even though he was on the other side of the island.

"Great, we should build a raft and try to get back to camp then," was Courtney's suggestion, I'm not so surprised that she has similar ideas to Gwen, that was the reason they became friends in the first place.

"No, we should explore the island, that's more fun," Izzy suggested.

"If Chris isn't going to send anybody, then I don't see the reason of staying here," Courtney told her.

"You don't even know where the camp is, it would be best to explore and find shelter," Izzy replied.

They were both in each other's faces now, this was going to turn into a fistfight at any moment.

"Ok, enough", I put myself in the middle of both of them and pushed them away a little, neither of them cared that I had my hands on their chests, proof of how serious the situation was, "we can look around, we need materials for a raft after all, not to mention that maybe Geoff could have ended up swept away by the current here too, in which case we have to look for him," or at least I hope so.

They took a step back, "I guess it's a good idea," Courtney said.

"Izzy completely agrees with her boyfriend."

Confessional.

Courtney

"Good thing Cody is here too, Izzy and I would probably mutilate each other if it wasn't the case."

Izzy

"Courtney is so lucky that Cody is here, otherwise they wouldn't even have a body to find if I decide to take her down."

End of confessional.

POV. Geoff

*Growl*

"I'm hungry, how long have I been floating in this bed?" for some reason I had grown a beard.

Confessional.

Bearded Geoff

"I wonder why castaways always grow beards faster at sea."

End of confessional.

"I need to eat something... Did you always look so delicious Kevin?"

"Squawk," he flew off.

"Wait, come back! I didn't mean it, I feel very lonely!", at that moment the shark fin came back, "hey, forget it, it wasn't serious, I'm fine alone".

Confessional.

Bearded Geoff

"The days I spent floating in that bed changed my life, brothers."

End of confessional.

POV. Cody

"How long has it been since we woke up?" asked Courtney as we wandered through the jungle. We shouldn't be far from the treehouse.

"About three hours," I'm surprised it didn't take longer, as well as that none of them pointed out yet that all the plants are in pots, seriously, where are they looking?

"Eureka!" shouted Izzy, we finally got to the treehouse, "we're saved," she ran toward the house.

Courtney was inspecting it, "it doesn't look like anyone has been here in a long time," then she looked at the dinosaur skull, "I hope that's not real," she saw the skull, but she still doesn't notice the pots?

"We can use it as a base for the time being, until we find Geoff, then we can come up with a plan to get back to camp," I proposed.

"Okay, I'll go gather wood to make a raft, you and Izzy can inspect the place."

Izzy opened the door of the treehouse and a hanging skeleton appeared in front of her, "hahahaha I think I found the former residents," she said undeterred.

Confessional.

Chris and Chef

"Oh, come on! Not even an 'Ah!'? That's outrageous," the presenter said.

"You'll get them next time," Chef told him as he patted him on the back.

End of confessional.

Courtney flinched at the skeleton, "Oh, and I don't need to tell you two to keep your hands off each other, do you?" she said, her eyes narrowed.

"We could die today! And you're asking me not to have sex with my boyfriend!? It's one thing to refuse my offer, but this is just envy Courtney!" said Izzy indignantly, I know she wasn't serious, she was just trying to drive Courtney crazy and unfortunately, she was succeeding.

"Grrrrrrrr, just don't do it! Is that clear to you!?" she yelled at her.

"I'll take care of Izzy, don't worry, just go collect wood for your raft, I'll try to start a fire," I said trying to calm her down.

"That you 'take care' of Izzy is what worries me!"

"Hahahaha, she doesn't trust you at all," I rolled my eyes at Izzy's taunts.

Finally, Courtney trusted us enough to go and leave us alone.

I looked at Izzy, "Can you give her a break? I know both of you have different opinions, but that's no reason for you to torment her so much."

Izzy folded her arms and shook her head back and forth weighing her options, "... well, Izzy will give her a break, but!" she pointed her finger at me, her face was a little red and had a mischievous smile, "if we're here more than a day, we're going to do it and I don't care if she's watching."

"You're really an exhibitionist, aren't you?" it's not like we're going to be here for more than a couple of hours. We just have to find Geoff and hope Chris starts a fire so we have an excuse to go to the other side.

"Oh, my sweet, naïve boy, that's not exhibitionism, this is," she lifted her top and bra showing me her breasts.

I opened my eyes in surprise and my nose bled a little, I ended up falling backwards into the sand.

She put it back on, "hahahahaha, that never stops being funny."

"I'm going to die... if it's not for lack of blood, or Courtney's hands, then it's because of Izzy's antics," I mused from my position lying in the sand, although let's face it, it wouldn't be a bad way to go.

-0-

POV. Courtney

I was gathering wood to build a raft, I still didn't trust leaving those two alone. I can't believe they've already done it, seriously, there are limits to how stupid you can be when you're a teenager.

I sighed, "And Duncan and I haven't even kissed... Maybe I shouldn't have turned him down... no, focus Courtney, that kind of thinking won't get you to the presidency, but to a trailer raising a baby as a teen mom and with an absent husband."

Confessional.

Chris and Chef

"Sorry you have a problem with that lifestyle," the chef said grumpy.4

Chris was trying not to laugh, until the chef looked at him, "innocent whistle."

End of confessional.

"Okay, this should be enough," I grabbed the wood and started back.

-0-

POV. Cody

I built a small fire and lit it, next to me was a distinctive coconut, I was eating some chocolates I brought with me, Izzy was sitting on the railing of the treehouse sharpening a branch to turn it into a spear, which had me a little anxious.

"Hey Cody, who's your friend?" asked Izzy.

"It's Mr. Coconut, he's good at listening to people," I know Chris only did the campfire ceremony to annoy the original group and for the sake of laughter, but I don't want to risk it.

"Don't you think it's too early to start getting insane?" said Courtney, who came back with a pile of wooden sticks.

"I thought it was a good way to keep me busy," she rolled her eyes and began to arrange the wood.

"I like him, it has personality hahahaha," Izzy laughed at this.

Confessional.

Courtney

"Izzy is crazy, Cody is close to getting crazy, and I'm sure they're both going to drive me crazy."

End of confessional.

"Any clues about Geoff?" I asked Courtney.

She sighed, "I looked around the beach, but there was no sign of him," she said worriedly.

"Don't worry, he'll show up," I hope.

-0-

POV. Third person

Chris and the chef were eating at the production team's secret location on the other side of the island where the campers were.

"How do you think our campers are doing?" Chris asked the chef.

"Probably half of them are already dead," the huge man said without much thought.

"Pff, are you kidding? Three of them are good when it comes to surviving on their own," the presenter told him.

"Yes... Hehe, if that geeky boy had a child with either of the other two, he'd probably be a savage survivor."

"Or a perverted politician..."

"..."

"..."

"Hahahahahahahahaha".

"I wish it was both, we could have an extreme survival-style series, when they reached sixteen."

"Dreaming is free friend, dreaming is free."

Confessional.

Chris and Chef

"I want to clarify that total drama does not encourage 'illicit' activities among teenagers...", Chef shook his head, "on the other hand, we are not responsible for their own reckless decisions", said the presenter, more cheerful now, Chef nodded his head.

End of confessional.

POV. Courtney

"Finished, now we can hunt for dinner," Izzy said as she stabbed the air with her new, newly finished weapon.

"Good for you, but when I finish this raft, hunting won't be necessary," I said.

She looked at me with a poker face, "Do you always have to ruin other people's fun?"

"I try to get us out of here, you know Chris isn't going to come rescue us if he doesn't want to, right?"

"And do you at least know where the camp is?" she asked me.

"We'll figure it out on the fly once we have the raft," I said a little defensively, "we're just missing a mast to put a sail on, I'm going to get more wood," I said getting up.

"Oh, I'll tag along, I wanna try this thing," Izzy said as she stabbed the air with her spear.

"Do I have a choice?"

"Nope... she'll follow you even if you tell her no," Cody said as he chipped the fire, how was he so calm?

I sighed, "Then you can come, but keep that thing away from me," I warned.

"Yes sir," she said with a military salute, I'm already regretting this.

"Good luck," Cody told us.

-0-

Izzy and I were walking along the beach, I needed a long pole to make the mast, but there were only little twigs everywhere, Izzy was digging her spear into the sand looking for crabs.

"Can you really catch crabs with that?" I asked a little intrigued, I didn't doubt Izzy's crazy skills... Did I just talk like Harold? I couldn't help but shudder.

"Of course, I can also do it with crocodiles... and humans... but Cody would scold me, so I can't show it to you," it's not like I want to see it.

"... You really care what he thinks of you, don't you? I don't think I've ever heard you say something like that before," I thought Izzy was hopelessly selfish, but when it comes to Cody, she seems to become someone different.

"It's just that that boy drives me crazy," she said as she hugged her spear, I never thought I'd get to see her act like a maiden in love, I'm not going to lie, it's very unsettling, "he's always worrying about Izzy's well-being, and the proud face he makes when I hear him, makes me feel so happy, I just want to jump on top of him and-".

"Okay! I get it, you like him a lot, you don't have to tell me every detail," I interrupted her with a red face, does this girl have no inhibitions to speak or what? "but... Are you sure you want to be in a relationship with him?", Izzy just shook her head intrigued, "I mean, he's a pervert, don't you mind that he goes through life constantly looking at other girls the same way he looks at you?" I know I couldn't, I can be a little jealous, in fact I'm surprised that Izzy wanted to be with him when everyone in the camp knows how he is with women.

Izzy looked at me with a smile, "no, not in the least," she said as if she didn't even care, "I'm aware of what my sweet mountaineer is like, and that cute girls are his weakness, but my heart took a decision and I always listen to my instincts, besides, it doesn't matter which girl comes for him, Izzy is and always will be the one he marked first, and no one will be able to change that," she said mischievously and arrogantly, "I had never considered having a formal relationship with anyone before, Izzy is a free spirit after all, I don't settle down because I like to do things my way, whenever and wherever I want... But with him it's different, I feel like I can be myself and at the same time have someone I can always come back to... he's an amazing guy, in my opinion Izzy won the lottery by claiming it first lol."

"Wow...", Cody, I think I know the answer to the doubts you had, this girl is not going to leave you, in fact, I think you'll be lucky if she ever gives you a moment alone, but I think I'll let you figure it out for yourself, "if you're okay with that then I guess it doesn't matter... although it still seems weird to me," I said as I scratched the back of my neck uncomfortably.

"Hahahahahaha, that's the second reason, weird is a lot, lot! funnier, Izzy technically stole him from Heather."

Now I rolled my eyes, "I think Cody is too good for that girl", I guess he and Izzy are made for each other.

"Squawk."

"Look, it's Kevin! We're saved!" shouted Izzy, in front of us was Cody's demon bird, and the best part was that it was perched on a pole half buried in a pile of sand.

"That pole is perfect for the mast," we reached over to grab it, but when I touched it the pile of sand began to move.

"Sand monster!" Izzy plunged his spear into the sand.

"Ouch!", someone who had been buried shot out after Izzy poked him.

"A hobo! I'll take care of him!" said Izzy, preparing her spear again.

"Izzy, Courtney! It's you!" said the homeless man cheerfully, I gave him a better look.

"Geoff?", why does he look so dirty and ragged? And why is he wearing a fake beard, "Is that really you?"

"Or are you a ghost of his?" asked Izzy.

"Yes, it's me, I can't believe it's really you... but how come they look so young after so many years?" asked Geoff confused.

Izzy and I exchanged glances, "Geoff, we saw you last night, it's only been six hours since we woke up this morning."

"Really?"

Confessional.

Izzy

She had glasses on her face, "Dr. Izzy will explain it to you, Geoff suffers from what is commonly known as castaway madness, caused by isolation in the open sea, the symptoms are, hallucinations, accelerated growth of facial hair and of course, loss of perception of time."

End of confessional.

I took the pole that I now realize belonged to Geoff's destroyed bed, "we found Geoff and we have what we need to put the raft together, let's go back to base to get out of this place," I said to the other two.

"Owww, do we have what?" said Izzy disappointedly.

"Yes! We have to!" I replied.

-0-

POV. Cody

I was looking in the direction I thought was the production team's secret location, maybe I should tell the girls I saw smoke when they come back, and propose an exploration once we find Geoff.

"Still, I can't help but feel like I'm forgetting something, but what?" I scratched my head, what was it that I didn't remember?, "Do you have any idea it could be Mr. Coconut?" I asked the coconut with a happy face sitting next to me.

"..."

"Hahaha, of course you won't say anything, you're a coconut."

"Do you have something against coconuts, boy?"

My eyes widened uneasily, and I looked at the coconut next to me... But this one was just there in silence, who spoke then? "Hello? Is anyone else here?" I asked looking around, I was completely alone. I looked back at the coconut, "Did you speak?"

"..."

"Or am I going crazy?" I don't need any more craziness than I already have.

"Who are you talking to, love?", Izzy arrived along with Courtney and...

"Geoff!", uff, thank goodness they found him.

"Please tell me you weren't talking to the coconut," Courtney begged.

I looked at the coconut again, "I didn't?"

She facepalmed, "oh dude, this place made you crazy," Geoff said.

"You're not one to talk!" yelled Courtney, "and take off that fake beard," she tugged at his beard, but it didn't come off.

"Ouch! Courtney, you hurt me," she looked at him in surprise.

"That thing is real."

"Everyone knows that castaways grow beards faster, and you call yourself a CIT?" asked Izzy.

Courtney's veins were starting to show in her forehead, "ok, we're all together again, that's good, isn't it?" I said before they jumped on each other.

"You're right Cody," Izzy lured the four of us into a group hug, "now that the four of us are together everything will be fine from now on."

Just then a giant snake fell on us from the tree above.

Oh that's what I was forgetting... Well, I feel better now.

"AHHHHHHHHH!", the four of us climbed up to the treehouse in an instant, the snake didn't try to climb.

"Okay... maybe we can stay here a little longer," Courtney said fearfully.

"Do you have any sevens?" Chris asked the chef.

He rolled his eyes, "You have no idea what we're playing, do you?"

"Pff, of course I know."

"Don't you think the campers are taking too long?" the presenter asked in the awkward silence.

POV. Cody

Now the four of us were lounging inside the treehouse, which coincidentally looked a lot like our cabins.

Izzy was lying on a bed talking and laughing with Mr. Coconut, I don't trust that thing since I thought I heard him talk.

Geoff was eating some of the provisions I brought, he was in the water for a while, and he was hungry.

Courtney was pacing back and forth thinking what to do with the snake, I was just sitting on another of the beds.

"That's it Geoff, eat, if we stay here too long, we're going to have to eat somebody," Izzy whispered, but since everything was quiet it was easy to hear her. Now she was looking at Courtney, "Or maybe a taste of those delicious thighs," Courtney looked at her uneasily, I began to question my girlfriend's true sexuality.

"Do you want to stop rambling? I'm trying to think here," Courtney told her angrily.

"So what happened while I was gone?" asked Geoff as he ate.

"I tried to get Courtney to do it with Cody, but she refused," was Izzy's out-of-context response.

She gave her a bad look, while I just rolled my eyes, "wow, I really missed a lot of things," was all Geoff said.

"How about we talk about something else?" asked Courtney to change the subject.

"Oh, I know! Cody, tell us about your friends, the ones you told me about on our first date," Izzy told me.

"Do you want me to tell you about my friends?", this I didn't expect, I have to be careful here.

"I want to know more about you, you said you broke up, can you tell us what happened?" she asked me hugging Mr. Coconut in anticipation.

Geoff and Courtney were also paying attention to me now. This might do some good, but it will be risky, "Okay, but I won't say any names, okay? For privacy and stuff," the three of them nodded in agreement, "for those who don't know yet, on the day of the Boney Island excursion, I told Izzy about one of the friends I had before I came on the show."

"Had?" asked Courtney.

"She disappeared," that surprised her, "to this day I don't know what happened to her."

"Dude," Geoff said.

"The truth is that I had quite a large group of friends before I came to camp, many of the things I know...", I smiled, "I learned from them. We weren't the best friends in the world... Everyone had their eccentricities and we were often fighting... But in the end we always reconciled and got together to have parties."

"Parties yeah!" both girls looked at Geoff for his interruption, "sorry."

"Hahaha, we did have a lot of parties," I lost my smile, "but over time... Things changed, the fights became more and more serious, and the grudges were more and more present, and one day... It all just went to shit, I don't think I'll ever be able to forget it."

"What happened?" said Courtney, she was totally into this now.

"Two girls who didn't interact much with each other, they started to get closer... But one of them had a boyfriend she was always fighting with, the other started to have a closer friendship with the boyfriend. One day they broke up, they did that a lot, then they reconciled and got back together again... Only this time that didn't happen... Because it turns out that the second girl had developed feelings for her friend's boyfriend, and the same happened with the boyfriend... and they both kissed behind her back."

"No," said Courtney.

"Wow," was Geoff's reply, Izzy remained silent.

"When the girlfriend found out she exploded in rage, and for a long time she could not forgive her friend. From there things in the group started to get more tense, everyone was debating who was right, the girl who listened to her heart, or the girl who had it broken. From there the fights got more serious, everyone was arguing about everything, that incident had a fierce snowball effect on everyone else."

"What happened to the girl with the broken heart?" asked Courtney, oh the irony.

"The guy I was dating was always a bad influence on her, little by little he made her much darker, and when he betrayed her, all that darkness took hold of her, even when her friend tried to make amends, she didn't forgive her," I frowned and clenched my fist, "it didn't help that the boyfriend still had feelings for her, Even though I was dating the friend now, he always tried to make her jealous at every opportunity, fed up with this, the friend ended their relationship as well."

"That guy sounds like the worst scum ever," Courtney said angrily, again, oh the irony.

"You can't do that stuff, dude," Geoff said.

"Yes... Even when the girl with the broken heart ended up forgiving her friend, the damage the boyfriend did to her was irreparable... Now she was the one who betrayed her friend... as well as many of her close friends... In the end she was left alone."

"And what happened to the rest of your friends? Didn't they try to help them?" asked Courtney.

"We met once to try to sort everything out," I clenched my fist again, "that day was the last I saw many of them," the other three opened their eyes in surprise, "the second friend tried to make peace with the first one once again, but she wasn't the same person as before, They were both fed up and didn't want to see each other anymore... As it turns out, most of them shared the sentiment... It was agreed that we would cut all ties between us and pretend that we had never met... That was a while ago, before I came here," I finished my story, How long has it been since I talked to anyone about what happened?

Warm arms wrapped around me, Izzy hugged me tightly, "Izzy had no idea," she said sadly.

"And you couldn't do anything? You're Cody, you always find a way to help everybody," Geoff told me.

I smiled sadly, "Remember how I said that everything I know, or at least most of it, I learned from them? I was one of the simplest of the bunch, they were all so much cooler than me, I was just the dumb guy who thought I could be popular with girls, when the reality was that I couldn't make any of them look at me as anything other than a loser with airs of grandeur. I was just a run-of-the-mill nerd who tried to look great and failed miserably... And the only girl who did notice me, turned out to be an obsessive madwoman who ended up in a mental hospital... I didn't have anything that stood out to me, not like the others, my voice in the group was always a whisper compared to their roars... I couldn't get everyone to reconcile, I didn't have that kind of power or influence... I haven't seen my friends in years... Every day I wonder what they're doing... I would have liked things to end differently."

For a moment there was only silence in the treehouse, Geoff, Izzy and Courtney were taking in everything I had told them, I don't know if it was right to do it, but I felt like a weight had been lifted off my shoulders.

"Is that why?" Courtney asked, "Is that why you're so nice to everyone here? Because you lost your friends?"

I smiled in a better mood, "everyone here reminds me of them, yes, but I've always been nice... I think that was my only virtue, that's why I do it."

She smiled, "I see."

"I'm sure you'll be able to make things right with them one day," Geoff told me, "I don't know how you were before, but I assure you that now you're the cool guy, you have the power to fix things."

"Izzy will kidnap all your friends and lock them up together until they get along!" was my girlfriend's reply.

"Hahaha, believe me, that won't work, we've already tried many times."

"..."

"..."

"..."

"Hahahahahahahahahahahaha".

"Oh my god, that joke was terrible," Courtney said with a laugh.

"It's because it wasn't a joke."

"..."

"..."

"..."

"HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!", The laughter grew even louder. That was all we did for ten minutes, laughing, after that things calmed down and we were all more relaxed.

"I hope you don't mind if I ask you to keep this a secret, I don't care if the others know about it, but it's something I'm trying to get over and I wouldn't want things to be different because of that," I asked the three of them.

"Don't you worry about it," said Courtney.

"Your secret is safe with us," was Geoff's reply.

Izzy kissed me on the cheek, "Izzy will take your secrets to the grave, along with the bodies of these two if they open their mouths," she said pointing at the other two, they looked a little scared. For once I feel like I can trust her.

"Thanks guys," I thanked them, I also kissed Izzy back.

"Squawk", Kevin appeared at the window, I got out of bed and walked over to it, you could see the smoke in the distance, again, what a good timing, "look guys, we're not the only ones here," I said pointing at the smoke.

"Do you think it's Chris?" asked Courtney, yeah, it's Chris.

"They could be cannibals," said Izzy taking her spear and to Mr. Coconut, no, they are not cannibals.

We went out onto the treehouse porch.

"Ssssssss".

"Whatever the case may be, we won't be able to figure it out until we do something about that snake," Geoff said, looking down.

Five pairs of eyes (if we count Mr. Coconuts and Kevins) turned to look at me as one.

I put on my thinking face, "Ah!" until the lightbulb went off, and I took Mr. Coconut from Izzy's hands and dropped him on the snake's head.

*Blow* *boom*

It was knocked unconscious by the blow. Courtney slapped her forehead, "Why didn't I think of that!?"

"To be fair, I didn't think it would work," I comforted her.

The three of us went down to the ground, Izzy poked the snake with her spear to see if it would wake up, "it's totally knocked out."

Once we checked that, we headed to the other side of the island. Since Izzy was the only one with a weapon and we ran the risk of her skewering us if she was behind, she was the one leading the way.

"We're here," she said as she made us stop, "behind those bushes are the ones who lit the fire," Izzy said.

"Great, let's go," Geoff said.

"No, it's very dangerous, Izzy will sacrifice herself by going first," she said with an exaggerated performance.

"I don't think it's necessary," Courtney said.

Izzy grabbed me by the face, "Cody, if I don't survive, you have my permission to marry Courtney."

"I want you to stop that already?!" she yelled angrily.

Izzy kissed me on the lips and then jumped to the other side of the bush, the three of us exchanged glances and followed.

"Ayayayayayayayaya!", Izzy threw her spear at Chris, who had to duck to dodge it.

"Hey, watch out for the hair!" the presenter yelled.

"Wow, it was actually Chris," Geoff said.

"And hef," Courtney said, the cook waved to us.

"Yes, it's us, boy did you guys take your sweet time," the host said as if all this had been planned.

"What is this place?" I asked as if I didn't know.

"It's our production crew's secret location," the presenter said, we all saw the buffet and the equipment that was here, "or was secret until now," he said sulkily.

Courtney's eye began to tremble, "You mean that while the four of us thought we were lost and going crazy to the point of wanting someone dead? Were you just a few feet away, enjoying all kinds of comforts and not trying to look for us?"

"Yes, exactly," Chris said.

"That's cruel dude," Geoff told him.

Just at that moment it started raining again, chef got into a trailer, Chris stood at the door, "wow, isn't this unfortunate? I'd invite you in, but there's only room for six, see you at the campfire tonight," he tried to close the door, but Courtney's foot prevented him.

She grabbed him by his shirt, "listen to me, and listen to me well, you little pathetic attempt at a man, you don't know what kind of day I've had, so you'd better step aside and let us pass before this place has a real castaway," she threatened him with a dark look.

Chris was completely terrified, "that's why I say come in and get comfortable," the presenter said while shaking.

She dropped him, "come on guys," she said much happier.

The three of us looked at her with dumbfounded looks.

"I think I could marry her," I said without thinking.

Confessional.

Cody

"I can't believe I said that."

Courtney

She was a little blushing, "I can't believe he said that!"

Bearded Geoff

"Wow, I can't believe he said that."

Izzy

"Hahahahahaha, that was so inappropriate, hahahahaha".

End of confessional.

After a leisurely ride we were back at camp, we were currently sitting at the campfire for the ceremony.

"You'll love the camp Mr. Coconut, there's all kinds of fun activities," Izzy chatted with the coconut.

"No, Geoff!"

"Come on Courtney, I think the beard looks great on me," Geoff said.

"I told you; you'll shave that rat's nest when this is over and it's not up for discussion."

Chris decided to speak as he stretched, "well, it's been a grueling day, campers, frankly, Chef and I are worn out, I hope you've learned two valuable lessons, first, always make sure your cabins are securely fastened to the ground, and second-."

"Beat up the presenter for not investing in a rescue team?" asked Courtney as she cracked her fingers.

Chris swallowed, "yes, let's forget lesson two. Now let's get to the dramatic marshmallow ceremony," he held a tray of four marshmallows.

"Hey, Chris, why are there four marshmallows?" asked Geoff.

"Shhhhhh, don't ruin the moment," Chris silenced, "Courtney, Cody, Geoff and Izzy," threw our marshmallows at us.

Izzy's eyes widened as she realized, "Oh no, you don't mean..."

"Yep. It's time for Mr. Coconut to walk the Dock of Shame."

"No!" yelled Izzy as she hugged the coconut tightly.

"Chef," I felt as chef lifted me out of my shirt, in one swift movement Mr. Coconut and I had swapped places in Izzy's arms.

"There was so much I wanted to show him," Izzy cried, I just rubbed her head not knowing what to really do in this situation, Courtney and Geoff just looked uncomfortable.

Chef gave the coconut to Chris, "just when I thought she couldn't get any crazier," then threw the coconut onto the dock and it bounced all the way to the lake.

Izzy let go of me and ran to the dock, falling to her knees when she reached the edge, "Mr. Coconut, I swear you'll never be forgotten," she sobbed.

I approached her, "come on Izzy, let's go to sleep, it's been a long and strange day", she didn't resist when I picked her up, "I guess goodbye too Mr. Coconut, wherever you end up", I turned around and we started to leave.

"Goodbye boy, it's an amazing girl you've got there, give her a good spanking."

I quickly turned around when I heard the same voice I heard in the treehouse, but there was no one around.

"Izzy, did you hear that?"

She slurped with her nose, "Listen what?"

"... Never mind... Let's go to bed."

POV. Third person

"Well, that was certainly a strange ceremony, but no less dramatic, where will we abandon our four finalists next week? Find out in the next episode of TOTAL... DRAMA... ISLAND!".

"Coconuts will rule the world!"

"Who said that?" the host didn't see anyone else at the campfire.
