Chp. 23: Canadians in Solitas

A few more days had passed as General Ironwood was sitting behind his desk in his office doing some paperwork. The doors slid open and in came Keaton who approached the General's desk.
"More Grimm have been cleared out in areas around Crossed. If we keep this pace up, We may be able to have the village rebuilt and the settlers will be able to move back in," Keaton said.
"Excellent. Then after the Grimm are completely cleared out, then we can send in supplies and provisions to help rebuild Crossed," Ironwood said.
"We can add better defenses to the settlement to make it so that an event like this doesn't happen again," Keaton said.
"The same can be said for the other villages and settlements," Ironwood said.
The doors slid open as an Atlesian soldier approached the General's desk. Ironwood and Keaton turned their attention to the soldier.
"General Ironwood, we have just received a new signal from western Solitas," the soldier informed.
"Have they identified themselves?" Ironwood asked.
"They called themselves the Canadian Armed Forces," the soldier answered.
The name caught Keaton's attention. He turns his head around to face Ironwood.
"Looks like the Canadians have gotten their shared supplies of teleporting Dust crystals from us," he said. "We should go out and greet them."
"Inform these Canadians to keep their signal going and that we and the Americans will go out and meet up with them," Ironwood ordered.
"Yes, sir," the Atlesian soldier replied before turning around and leaving the General's office.
"You may be getting more help, General," Keaton said.
Western Island
Later out on the small island next to Solitas, five Chinook helicopters and five Mantas were flying overhead, searching for the Canadians that had recently arrived onto Remnant. Inside one of the helicopters, Keaton, Cassandra, Alex, Bulldog, Missionary, Ice Pick, and Steel, along with a few other soldiers were riding inside waiting to land once the Canadians were spotted.
"So our allies from the North have arrived, huh?" Cassandra asked.
"Yep. I guess they're finally able to get themselves set up for their expedition here," Missionary said.
"The sooner we find our Canadian allies, the sooner things can be a bit more easier for all of us to clear out more Grimm," Ice Pick said.
"Damn straight. It would be easy street for all the citizens of Solitas," Alex said.
"Canadian battalion located! Four klicks south!" one of the pilots spoke.
Keaton and Bulldog looked out the side window and saw a column of armored vehicles, consisting of six Leopard 2A4M CAN tanks, four LAV 6.0s, four TAPVs, and six Navistar 7000 trucks. Flying just over the armored column of vehicles were three CH-148 Cyclone helicopters.
"See if you can land close to them," Keaton ordered the pilots.
The Blackhawk helicopters and Mantas started to fly their way towards the Canadians. Upon spotting the Americans and Atlesians, the Canadians all stopped in their tracks. The three Cyclone helicopters all landed close by with the armored vehicles. Soon after, American and Atlesian aircrafts soon make their landing all close to the armored column. Once the aircrafts had landed, the Americans and Atlesians all boarded off of them. Boarding off one of the Mantas were Winter and the Ace Operatives. Canadian soldiers soon hopped out of the trucks and then approached the Americans and Atlesians.
One of the Canadians stepped forward, wearing a white camo military uniform with black boots, white gloves, an olive green bullet proof vest, and a white helmet with black goggles. He has brown eyes and a ginger mustache.
"Which of you is in charge of your leading parties?" the soldier asked.
"We are, sir," Keaton answered as he and Winter approached.
"Colonel Noah LeBlanc, Canadian Armed Forces," the Canadian soldier introduced himself with a salute.
"I'm Captain Keaton Gordon, United States Marines. And this is Specialist Winter Schnee, Atlas military," Keaton introduced. "Welcome to the planet known as Remnant."
"We're glad to be here. So I take it that we keep the fact that we all keep the existence of Earth a secret and the fact that we're from that planet?" LeBlanc asked.
"Affirmative. At least until our worlds' leaders come to an agreement," Winter answered.
"Understandable. We don't want to cause a panic with the public of both worlds," LeBlanc said.
The Ace-Ops all approached one of the tanks. They looked at the tank, admiring the vehicle before them as Colonel LeBlanc noticed the Atlesians looking at one of the tanks. He walks up to the Ace-Ops as they continue eyeing the tank.
"What are these things?" Marrow asked.
"This is a Leopard 2A4M CAN tank. It's the most advanced main battle tank in the Canadian Army. It is a reconditioned Leopard 2A4 tank developed by German company KMW," LeBlanc answered.
"So these tanks are Earth's equivalent to our paladins?" Harriet asked.
"While your paladins are built for short ranged combat, Earth's tanks are built for long ranged combat," Keaton answered. "Tanks are also built to have some heavy armor for protection."
"When our men were in Vale fighting off the White Fang and the Grimm, one of our Abrams tanks encountered a paladin, it went down after taking one shot," Cassandra said.
"To be fair, that paladin was just a prototype," Winter said.
"True, but still, the armor on a paladin is not as strong as a tank so it still wouldn't make a difference," Bulldog said.
Before they could talk any further, everyone heard the sounds of roaring in the distance. Everyone turned their heads to see a large horde of Grimm in the distance heading their way. They all consisted of Saybrs, Beowolves, Ursai, Razorwings, Teryxs, and Megoliaths.
"We've got Grimm incoming!" Elm shouted.
"Get in positions!" LeBlanc yelled.
The Atlesians and Terrans all readied their weapons and aimed them at the Grimm. The tank turents all rotated their cannons and were aimed at the Grimm.
"Open fire!" LeBlanc ordered.
Everyone began shooting at the horde of Grimm that was charging towards them. The tanks opened fire killing off some more Gimm, including a couple of Megoliaths. Winter summons a Nevermore as it flies up into the air and then lines of sharpened feathers with points down at the Grimm, killing more of them off. A Beowolf was quickly approaching as Marrow threw Fetch at the Grimm, slicing it in half as Marrow caught his weapon when it returned back to him.
A Teryx flew down bits off a Canadian soldier's head off and then swung its tail at an American soldier. With his semblance, Vine grabs onto the Grimm by its neck and moves its head at the end of a tank's barrel. The tank fires, blowing the Teryx's head off, while also hitting and killing another Megoliath in the process. A Razorwing flew down and was about to lunge at Vine, but Alex, and Ice Pick were quick to shoot it down. A couple of Sabyrs charged tried rushing towards them, but Harriet dashed up to one of the Sabyrs and punched it to the ground before dashing to the other and giving it an uppercut which sent it flying.
As a Razorwing was flying overhead, launching purple fireballs at the soldiers down below, Clover casts his line from Kingfisher and wraps it around the flying Grimm's neck. He jerks it down, pulling the Grimm down to the ground. As the Razorwing is slammed to the ground, Cassandra shoots it in the head, finishing it off. A couple of Ursai rushed at Elm as she swung Timber at one of them, sending it flying into a large rock. She then swung her hammer at the second Ursa's feet, sweeping it up into the air before slamming her hammer down onto the Grimm's head, killing it. The first Ursa slowly gets up and just as it was about to rush in to attack Elm, Missionary, Steel and Bulldog approached and quickly shot at it, killing it.
As Keaton and LeBlanc were shooting at the Grimm, a Beowolf slowly approached the two from the side. As they turned around to face the Beowolf, they noticed something different about this Grimm's appearance. The Beowolf's eyes and markings were pale green instead of red, and it has pale green crystal-like bone spikes on its back.
"What's up with that Grimm?" Keaton asked.
"Why is this one different from the others?" LeBlanc asked.
The Beowolf swiped its claws at Keaton and LeBlanc as they stepped away from the attack. Before the Grimm could attack again, Winter rushes in and slashes at its chest before slicing its head off. She turned around to face Keaton and LeBlanc.
"Thanks," Keaton said as Winter nodded in response.
The armored vehicles continued shooting at the Grimm as the Mantas soon flew overhead and fired rockets at the Grimm. The shooting stopped as when the smoke cleared, the Grimm had all been wiped out.
"That takes care of that," Marrow said.
"But did you see that Beowolf? It was different from the others," Keaton said.
"Yes, it's appearance was very off," Winter answered.
"Schnee, what's that on your blade?" LeBlanc asked.
Winter looked down at her rapier and saw a green gooy substance that was slowly dripping off of it. Everyone looked at the goo on Winter's sword.
"It appears to have left behind some residue," Bulldog said.
"I'll collect some samples so we can take them back for study," Cassandra said.
She pulled out a pair of latex gloves and put them on before pulling out some vials with q-tips attached to the lid inside them. Cassandra opens one of the vials and pulls out the q-tip before she starts wiping it on Winter's rapier to collect the goo on it.
"We should notify General Ironwood of this," Clover said.
"Right. This stuff here doesn't seem to be safe," Keaton said as he watched Cassandra close up the vial with a sample of the goo inside it.
Author's Note: Well, today Rooster Teeth will officially close its doors today. I have heard news that Dillon Goo is planning to buy off the IP for RWBY. Let us hope that RWBY getsbought off by someone that is able to finish the show soon.
As for the continuation for RWBY and Earth, I haven't fully decided yet, but I'll continue with Elites and Operatives.
