Hello everybody, Zelda777 here with a new story. I know this isn't a Legend of Zelda story but I 'm going to try to write one about this one. I know about the main story but I've never really played this game. I will try my best to make this good. I hope you enjoy it. Please review and tell me what you think. Also please follow so you don't miss anything. I had originally planned this one to be rated T but because of my rough draft on later chapters I had to change the rating to M.
As soon as they returned to Fonsett village, Corinne walked out to greet them.
"Rex," Aunt Corinne said, "Welcome home."
Rex looked down as she looked around,
"Wait a moment where's Pyra?"
At that moment Rex broke down and cried. Nia who was in her blade form quickly ran to Rex and put her hand on his shoulder.
"Who are you?" Aunt Corinne asked Nia, " I don't really recognize you."
"Oh, I'm Nia," She replied bowing slightly, "This is my true form."
Nia transformed into her driver form and Aunt Corinne was surprised, "Oh, what made you reveal your true self," She asked as Zeke carried Rex to his bed because he collapsed from depression.
"Well," Nia started. "Rex told me that I shouldn't be afraid of who I truly am."
Aunt Corinne looked at her, "Oh is that so."
"Nia, are you going to stay here with Rex-Rex," Tora asked. "Because Tora and Poppi have to return to Torigoth."
"Yes," Nia replied, "I will stay with him."
Morag looked at her, "Is that because you love him?"
"How did?"
"The way you fought with him, I kind of figured." Morag responded quickly.
"Yeah, I mean it was obvious," Brighid said. "But I don't know if it was that obvious to Rex."
"I mean when we were in the Spirit Crucible Elpys we heard you tell Rex that you loved him." Zeke added, "But I don't think Rex really knew what you meant."
"Yeah," Pandoria added, "I mean he did say he loved you but he also said I love all you guys."
"Well, I guess I will wait for his true answer." Nia said as everyone started to leave.
"Well, when he wakes up can you tell him that we all went home." Zeke asked.
Nia nodded her head as she watched everyone else walk out the door and she was alone with Rex for the first time since the Maelstrom.
"Come on Rex, please wake up," Nia said. "I need you to wake up, I'm just not the same without you."
Corinne walked into the room with some Braised Sea Shark for Nia.
"Here is something for you to eat." Corinne said, "I don't think you would do Rex any good if you're hungry.
Nia looked at her, "What do you mean?"
"I can tell you love him." Aunt Corinne said after a moment of silence.
"Is it really that obvious?"
Aunt Corinne nodded her head, "Yes, I mean I know Rex hasn't noticed because I don't think he's ever been in love before."
"Well," Nia said, "I've never been in love before either."
"Will you please tell me what happened to Pyra?" Aunt Corinne asked.
Nia nodded, "After we defeated Malos the world tree started to collapse and in order to save everyone Pyra had to obliterate the world tree and in doing so she had to sacrifice herself to do it."
"That must've been really hard on Rex," Corinne said. "He was really young when he lost his parents."
Nia nodded her head, "Yeah and he has also lost so many others as well."
When Aunt Corinne got up she looked to Nia, "You need to get some sleep."
"Okay," Nia said as she leaned back in the chair that she was in and she closed her eyes.
The Next Morning
When Rex opened his eyes he saw Nia in the bed next to him. He just smiled and was glad that she has there with him. But then he remembered what happened with Pyra and Mythra. He was saddened once again when all of a sudden Nia stirred and opened her eyes. When she did she saw Rex smiling at her and her face turned red as she quickly got out of the bed.
"I'm sorry," Nia stammered, "I don't know how I got in the bed with you."
"It's okay Nia," Rex said as he rubbed his head, "I felt a sense of comfort when you were next to me."
Nia felt her body heating up as she turned even redder.
"I had an odd dream last night."
"What was it about?"
"It was about Pyra and Mythra," Rex said. "I was standing in their memory of Elysium and they told me to not worry about them."
"Oh," Was all Nia could say at the moment.
"They also told me to take care of you because they knew the way I really felt for you." Rex said, "I mean I don't even know if you feel the same way."
"What do you mean?" Nia asked as her heart started to beat faster.
"I really care for you," Rex said, "Not just as my blade or a fellow driver but as my first love."
"Whaaaaaa?" Nia said as her mouth dropped in surprise.
"I love you Nia." Rex said, "And I want to be with you forever."
"I love you too, Rex," Nia said as she ran up and gave him a hug.
The two of them walked out of the room hand-in-hand to the kitchen.
"Good Morning, Nia" Aunt Corinne said, "Ah, Rex good to see you up and about."
"Good morning, My Lady." Dromarch said, "And good morning to you Master Rex."
"You too, Dromarch, "Rex responded. "Oh, yeah Nia, are the others still here."
Nia shook her head, "No they went home, why did you want to see them?"
"Yes, also I kind of want to see what this world has to offer."
"I know what else you want to do," Nia said smirking. "You want to see if there are any salvage points."
"You know me all to well," Rex said as he rubbed his head.
"Now Rex," Corinne scolded. "You're a driver now so you should try to help people using your driver skills instead of your salvaging skills."
"But Aunt Corinne," Rex whined. "I'm the best salvager and it's the only thing that I'm really good at."
"You're wrong about that one," Nia said. "You're a great driver and the leader of the Garfont Mercenaries."
"He is what now?"
Rex rubbed his head. "I'm only that because Vandham died, speaking of the Mercs, we need to go and check on them."
"We can stop there along the way," Nia said as she grabbed Rex's hand and dragged him to the door. "Dromarch are you going to stay here with Aunt Corinne or are you going to come with us."
"I will never leave your side, my lady," Dromarch responded. "Besides Rex may need a blade besides you."
Nia stomped her foot down, "Are you trying to say that I'm not enough."
"I don't think he meant it like that," Rex said.
"Oi, shut it Rex," Nia yelled then when she realized what she said she looked down. "I'm sorry it's just a habit."
Rex chuckled, "Don't worry about it Nia, that's one of the things that I like about you."
"Well, alright then I guess I will keep on doing that," Nia said.
"Master Rex, please don't encourage her," Dromarch said.
I hope you enjoyed this chapter. This is my first attempt at trying to write something besides the Legend of Zelda. I hope you enjoyed it, please review and tell me what you think. Also please review and tell me what you think.
