Rex was wary because he was still holding hands with Nia and Mythra grinned at him.

"It's okay, Rex." Mythra said, "We already know you love her."

"In fact," Pyra added. "We've always known."

"So you aren't jealous at all."

"No," Pyra said, "We just want you to be happy."

Nia let go of Rex and ran to give Pyra and Mythra a hug.

"I missed you," Nia said as a tear fell down her cheek.

"Thank you Nia," Mythra said. "Now you should go back to standing by Rex's side."

Nia nodded as she went back to Rex's side and grabbed his hand again. When Lila walked out with some Creamy Orange Paratha and Poppi followed with some drinks. When Poppi saw Pyra and Mythra she ran hugged them both.

"Poppi thought you were gone," Poppi cried.

"It's fine now," Mythra said as she hugged her back.

"Yes," Pyra added. "We're here to stay."

"Now before we start eating me and Pyra need to talk to Rex alone." Mythra said, "I'm sorry but this can't wait."

Nia nodded as she left with Poppi and Lila. When they were gone Mythra glared at Rex.

"We told you to live your life and not worry about us." Mythra scolded, "But as always you don't even listen."

"Mythra, I'm sorry I..."

"I'm not done." Mythra yelled, "You need to learn to grow up and be a responsible adult."

"Mythra's right," Pyra added, "But to me I think Mythra is over reacting."

"Will you let me talk?" Rex said defensively. "I was going to but Nia wanted me to reawaken you two again because you are our friends."

"Now, don't you start making excuses," Mythra said still glaring. "Now I'll have Pyra tell you what we were going to tell you after I scolded you."

"Yeah," Pyra said. "We don't really want to alert the others as of right now."

"You know I don't want to hide anything from Nia because I really love her."

"I know you do," Pyra said, "In fact I've always known ever since you resonated with my core crystal the first time."

"Just get on with it," Mythra said annoyed.

"Well, we discovered that once our father disappeared he scattered more core crystals across this new land." Pyra said, "But when he did..."

"Malos's core got scattered with it."

Pyra nodded, "Yes."

"Let's find it before we have a repeat of what Amalthus did." Rex said, "But I'm going to ask Nia if will be alright for her for me to awaken Malos."

"That's a great idea," Pyra said. "Right, Mythra."

"Do you want to know the other reason why I want to awaken him?" Rex asked.

Both Pyra and Mythra looked at him and nodded.

"Well the short story of it is something he told me after we defeated him before he died stuck with me."

A Few Minutes Later

The group started to eat when Nia looked at Poppi surprised on how the food tasted, "Poppi, when did you learn to cook?":

"Poppi learned from sister Lila," Poppi replied, "Why does friend Nia not like Poppi's food?"

Nia shook her head, "No, it's just that it tastes really good."

"Not only that," Rex added. "This is one of Nia's favorite dishes."

"I'm not the only one," Nia said. "This is a famous dish here in Torigoth and well loved by everyone here in Gormott."

"Hey," Rex said. "I'm not even from Torigoth and I like this dish."

Pyra looked at Mythra and she knew what Pyra was thinking.

"But it's not your favorite," Pyra said smiling.

"That is true..."

"In fact," Mythra added. "You probably never heard of it until you met Nia.

Rex turned red, "It feels like I'm getting ganged up on."

"Poppi senses heat signatures from Rex rising," Poppi said deciding on joining in the fun. "Probably from embarrassment."

"Okay I give up."

"Nobody likes a sore loser," Nia said laughing as the other three joined in the laughter which ended up making Rex laugh too.

Later That Night

Nia walked into Rex's room at the inn.

"Rex," Nia said. "Are you awake?"

"Yes, Nia love I'm up."

Nia turned red when Rex called her that. "May I sleep with you like when we were in Fonsett."

"I'd actually really love that," Rex said as he just looked at her but when she started taking off her yellow jumpsuit he quickly looked away. Nia laughed because she knew exactly what she was doing to him.

"You know I don't really mind you seeing me like that," Nia said. "I mean it's actually still embarrassing but I love you that much."

"I'm just respecting your privacy," Rex said when she got under the covers with him and snuggled close to him.

"Thank you," Nia said. "You're so nice and warm."

"Yes, it is," Rex said. "Good night Nia and I love you."

"I love you too."

The Next Morning

Rex woke up with Nia's head lying on his chest.

She looks so pretty, Rex thought as her eyes fluttered open and she smiled at him.

"Good morning," Nia yawned. "I hope I didn't snore."

Nia looked at his chest and saw that it was wet.

Oh no, I think I just drooled on him. Nia thought as she got up and quickly got dressed and ran out of the room embarrassed.

Rex watched her run out confused, What was that about?

But when he saw that his chest was wet and he thought he knew why she ran out.

When he walked out of the room Nia was nowhere to be found.

"Pyra," Rex asked, "Do you know where Nia went?"

Pyra shook her head. "No I haven't seen her."

"Mythra, how about you?"

"No," Mythra said, "The last time I saw her was when she walked into your room and never came out."

Pyra looked at Mythra wondering if she was teasing Rex like last time. But when she saw Rex turn red she knew it was true.

"Now Rex, you need take it slow before you get serious with Nia."

"I-I-I-I..."

"Rex," Nia said behind him, "I'm sorry for running out on you like that."

When Nia saw Pyra and Mythra in the room she turned red from embarrassment.

A Few minutes later.

"Rex, I forgot to ask you what Pyra and Mythra wanted to talk to you about last night."

"Well," Rex started from what they told him about Malos completely omitting the part where Mythra scolded him. "They told me that Malos's core crystal is somewhere in this new land of Alrest."

Nia closed her eyes, "You want to find it and awaken him before anyone like Amalthus does."

"Yes," Rex responded. "Do you think it's a bad idea?"

"No, I think, no I believe you can show him that his power can be used for creating at not just for destroying."

"You really think so."

"Yes, I do." Nia said as she grabbed his hand and met Pyra, Mythra, and Dromarch so they could head back to Azurda. "Let's go."

But as soon as they got close to the port where Azurda was waiting for them they were ambushed by a pack of hungry Volffs. Rex pulled out both Pyra's and Mythra's blades while Nia pulled out the Twin Rings which Dromarch provided it with Ether. But the battle was over before it even started and they knew who it was.

"Hey, chum." Zeke said, "It looks like you needed some help."

"No, shellhead," Nia said annoyed. "We could've handled the Volffs ourselves."

"Haha, what would be the fun in that," Zeke replied with a laugh as they walked to the port, "Pandy spotted you first and you know how I like to make and entrance."

"My prince," Pandoria said. "You mean we like to make an entrance."

"Oh, yeah of course."

Mythra laughed, 'You two haven't changed."

Zeke looked and saw Pyra and Mythra standing behind Rex and Nia.

"Wait, Pyra and Mythra you're really alive."

"Yes, we are alive oh mighty Zekenator," Pyra said teasingly then her and Mythra started laughing. Nia was also covering her mouth trying not to laugh and she was trying so hard not to.

"Hey," Zeke said. "That's not funny."

"I was just teasing you."

Zeke just turned red when at that moment Pandoria started laughing. "I guess you can't keep your cool when you're teased like that"

"Oi, Pandy I can't believe you've started in on me too." Zeke cried, "Hey chum a little help here."

"Sorry chum," Rex said. "You're on your own."

"Whaaaaat, you're joking right?"

"Does it look like I'm joking," Rex asked giving a serious look on his face. Nia couldn't hold it in any longer so she laughed so hard that tears started falling down her cheeks.

"I give up," Zeke said as he started to walk off, "Oh and Pandy since you are going to be like that then you are going to stay with them.

Zeke wasn't paying attention to where he was going and he walked straight off a cliff, "Whhhhyyyyyy meeeeeeeeee?'

"Do you think we went too far?" Nia asked clearly worried about him.

Pandoria shook her head, "Nah, he'll get over it.

When they got to Azurda Rex looked to him,

"Hey Gramps," Rex said. "Do you think you can carry all of us?"

"Are you seriously asking him that," Nia asked smiling. "When he carried all of us from the world tree."

Rex rubbed his head, "Oh, yeah I forgot."

Nia walked up to him and gave him a quick kiss on the cheek. Rex turned red when he saw Zeke smile at him.

"Way to go Rex, you finally have Nia all to yourself now don't you." Zeke said behind Nia which ended up making her jump out of her skin.

"Shellllheaaaaad!" Nia yelled, "Don't let me remind you that I have claws!"

"Now Nia," Rex said, "You need to calm down."

"Okay Rex," Nia said as she glared at Zeke, "But Shellhead better stay away from me."

Zeke rolled his eyes in surrender when Azurda lifted off. Nia sat next to Rex and put her head on his shoulder.

"Now, Rex," Gramps said. "Where are we stopping next?"

"We need to stop in Uraya before we head to Mor Ardain to visit Lady Morag."

Zeke was sitting and watching Rex and Nia when he felt Pandoria's head on his shoulder. He looked into her eyes and she just stared into his. They leaned in and kissed each other for the first time. Pyra and Mythra just shook there head as the land below them strode on past all of them.
