Sanji sit down in his seat. He takes a deep breath. Nami had sent him the pictures of him and Zoro together. It was embarrassing to see himself get so close to Zoro in his rabbit form. What really got him is the fact he could still feel Zoro's soft fur against him. He's never had such a good sleep. He's never slept that well. He doesn't know if it's because he took a nap or if it's the person he took the nap with.
Sanji starts getting fidgety. He wants to see Zoro again, to be close to the little bunny again. To smell him, to rub his snout against the soft green fur. He wants to get close to the man again. Really close.
When the bell rings for class to start he looks over at Zoro's seat to see it empty. Then he looks over to the others who seem to be equally confused. Did something happen?
They all sit in silence on the roof to the school. Zoro had told them that his father does dangerous things and that sometimes him and his sister are in danger but they didn't think something would actually happen. Was he injured? Hurt somehow? They need to know. There must be a way to figure it out.
They need to visit his home. But they don't know where he lives.
"Should we visit after school?" Chopper asks.
"Of course. We need to make sure Zoro is okay." Luffy smiles at them.
"Do you know where he lives?" Sanji asks.
"Nope." Luffy shakes his head, more proud than he should be. "But we could ask." He points out.
"Then I'll ask the teachers." Nami says, "then we'll leave after school with any of the assignments he missed today."
Nami and Robin ask the teachers for Zoro's address. They seemed reluctant, which confused the girls. They had to ask and talk to multiple teachers before they were given his address and some papers. With that they left the school grounds and headed to where Zoro lives.
Sanji was getting excited to see Zoro, his fluffy ears, round eyes, cute upturned nose. Sanji pauses for a second but doesn't stop walking. He honestly didn't think he would be happy to see the other man. There's just something about seeing the true Zoro that he couldn't keep his eyes off, of course he made sure the others didn't notice this.
Sanji didn't show it because it was weird for him to show that he wants to see the little bunny but the others were free to show how excited to see where Zoro lives. They've never been to his home, Zoro has always been to their house. It's a nice change of pace. Wondering what type of environment Zoro grew up in.
"Zoro we're here for you!" Luffy shouts as he runs forward down the street. He stops in front of a wooden door. The others continue walking as they stare around. There were normal houses but they were on the side of the street with a white wall. Walking down this place they were wondering which house Zoro lived in. Nami continued to look around and look at the piece of paper in her hand confused. They should be close, but she doesn't see it.
"Luffy!" Usopp shouts sprinting to Luffy as he rings the doorbell to this huge house with a white wall surrounding the house they can't see. They can spot trees and vines growing from the other side, hanging over the edge. "What are you doing?" He whispers.
"I want to see Zoro." Luffy says pouting.
"That's not the right place." Usopp says back.
"But it is." Luffy says.
"He's right." Nami says looking up. She looks down the street they had all walked down. The house is on the whole block. They turn to see the door opening. A regular looking human comes into view. He didn't have any extra ears, no animal ears, or scales on his body like most reptile-hybrids have, like Usopp or feathers like bird-hybrids, like Robin have. He doesn't have any of that. The man looks at all of them, giving them a look over. He steps over leaving space for them to walk in.
"Come in." he says. Luffy smiles his smile as he walks through the doorway.
"Thanks." Luffy says. The others follow him in slowly looking around. Even walking through the doorway is exotic. There is green everywhere, trees and plants happily growing. It was like being in a jungle. Behind them the man closes the door walking behind them as they walk up the path to the front door of a mixed Wano and modern house with some western mixed in. And the house is huge. The grass is green and there are green plants growing against the house. Nami doesn't know if they are in the right place. No way they are at the right place.
"Just go in and replace your shoes. Little Zoro should be in his room on the second floor" he says walking past them and opening the door. They walk in behind him. As they take their shoes off he just walks past them and disappears into the house. As they walk up the stairs, down the hallway they now know they are in the right place as they heard the man say Zoro's name.
It was easy to find Zoro's room with a huge sign with his name on it. They could hear laughing coming from the other side. The group walk in silently to be in a living room with a couch in the middle with a rug and coffee table with a TV stand on the other side but the big flat screen tv mounted on the wall. Zoro sat on the couch with headphones over his human ears with his bunny ear down the back of his head. Those big headphones are attached to a remote for a gaming console. Sitting next to him in headphones attached to another gaming remote is Perona. The whole group gather behind them as they watch them play some pvp fighting game. Half of them see one of Zoro's fluffy ears stand tall as the other half saw Perona's ears twitch and turn. The group couldn't see it but both of their noses started to twitch as they sniffed the air to smell who it is. After a minute Perona shouts 'no' while Zoro starts snickering. On the big screen they see the word 'fatality' in blood red appear on screen then they see a female character kill another female character. After the scene finished the siblings turned around to the guest. Sanji's heart started to race as he sees Zoro's face.
"I wanna play." Luffy says sitting in between them with a smile on his face. Perona stands up taking her headphones off,
"I'll be in my room." she says leaving them. Zoro takes his headphones off too.
"What are you guys doing here?" the green bunny asks.
"We came to check on you." Nami says.
"We were worried when you didn't show up to class." Usopp adds.
"Is everything okay?" Robin asks. Zoro nods. He looks fine.
"I'm fine, nothing happened but to be safe I'm on house arrest until it's safe." he tells them. They stay quiet not sure how to answer to that. What can they say? And they are not going to sneak Zoro out of a safe place when his life is in danger. Potential danger. He's save here so they wouldn't do anything to change that.
