A week had passed since the meeting with the newly formed Hestia Familia.

Nothing much had happened and Sasuke still went on with his usual routine of Dungeon diving and accepting quests from destitute villages.

He was currently on the thirtieth floor collecting some Bloodsaurus eggs for Naaza along with some Blue Papilio Wings. She said that she was near a breakthrough in creating a brand new potion but couldn't get the necessary ingredients in order to finalize it.

She confessed that she didn't ask him about it before was because she didn't know how to approach him about the subject. Asking him to sell potions on the surface is different from asking him to collect materials from monsters down in the Dungeon.

Sasuke supposed that she was being considerate of his well-being.

Putting down the last of the Bloodsaurus he proceeds to collect their eggs. Withdrawing one of his storage scrolls he unfurled it, placed it on the ground, and proceeded to seal all the available eggs.

Naaza said that about six or seven is enough but he tripled it just in case she needed more. Once he was done he stored the scroll back on his person and proceeded his journey back to the surface.

He had already collected the Blue Papilio Wings earlier on his way down so there isn't much left for him to do. Sasuke then body flickered all the way to the top only stopping once he reached the foggy tenth floor.

The conversation he had with Rose last week showed that his abilities were getting the wrong kind of attention with all the Drop Items he had been collecting. However, the problem was subverted somewhat when she offered to exchange them for him, thus concealing his identity.

It was strangely nice of her to do so. Then again, it is a part of her job so he guessed he shouldn't be surprised.

He began making his way up, killing any monster he encountered with a single swing. The trek up was relatively peaceful... if it weren't for his stalker who had managed to catch up to him.

He couldn't see them but he could sense them. Sasuke was glad he was practicing his sensory abilities. While the natives of Danmachi don't have Chakra exactly, they do have something similar that's equivalent to it.

Chakra is essentially just life force. Something all living beings have, and that includes the people of Danmachi, even if it feels a little different. Same in the Narutoverse, they all have a different feel to them. Karin had mentioned that Naruto's chakra was warm like the sun unlike his predecessor's which was cold and dark.

Although he isn't at the same level as the female Uzumaki, he is already at a level where he can tell the difference without looking at the person. Naaza felt somber and cool, Rose felt warm but cold at the same time, and Bell felt bright, clear, and pure.

Miach and Hestia however felt completely different, almost in another league. From his predecessor's memories. They felt similar to the Tailed Beast in how endless it felt but much more powerful than even the Ten-Tails or even Kaguya for that matter.

But it also felt... restricted. Sealed. Miach had said that for Gods and Goddesses to descend to the lower world they need to seal off their Divine Power, Arcanum so that it wouldn't affect the people around them.

What Sasuke felt back then was Miach's sealed Arcanum, the same Arcanum he's feeling on his back albeit in a very tiny amount.

But back to the matter at hand. The Chakra of the stalker he felt was from the same person who had been stalking him for the past week. Ever since he went out together with his Familia.

He didn't know what this person wanted nor who this person was working for, but he supposed now was the time to find out.

Allen Fromel watched his target casually walk up to the surface from the tenth floor.

His Goddess ordered him to spy on the target and explicitly told him not to harm him. Allen gnashed his teeth in anger at the black-haired man. Not only that his Goddess was interested in him but to make him, a level six, forced to play catch up to a level one was infuriating him.

He watched as the target casually traversed down the Dungeon depth with nary a sound at speeds that were invisible to his eyes. His movements were refined to the point where they didn't disturb a single rock on the ground. He then proceeded to eliminate all the monsters he passed by in a single strike via decapitation.

Someone who should be inferior was not only faster than him but also getting the attention of his beloved Goddess! It was unacceptable! IT WAS-!

Allen rapidly blinked his eyes, scanning his surroundings. Left and right, up and down, his target had vanished right before his very eyes yet again. Gritting his teeth he left his hiding spot to pursue but froze in place when a voice spoke from behind him.

"Vana Freya? Now this is a surprise."

Allen's instinct warned him to get away, and before he could even process a single thought he leaped away from the source of the voice and gained some distance.

"I didn't expect to see you here." Sasuke nonchalantly said, his hand outstretched as if to grab something. He lowered his arm before speaking again. "If you're here then that means that the Goddess Freya is interested in me. I've heard from reputation alone that the Goddess likes to hand-pick her Familia members by any means should they catch her fancy."

Allen gritted his teeth in anger, he was currently disguised wearing an all-black suit along with a visor to cover his face. Yet this weakling managed to figure out his identity? Ridiculous!

"Vana Freya? I don't know who you're talking about," Allen spoke, trying to hide his identity. "I'm also not a member of the Frey-"

"I'm not stupid, Vana Freya," Sasuke interrupted him, holding up a black visor. "Even if you were to hide your face using this I would still recognize you. Your portrait is recorded in the Guild's archives, only an absolute dumbass would fail to recognize who you are."

A hand went up to his face and to Allen's surprise, his visor was gone.

'When did he-? No, it doesn't matter, he's seen my face. I need to leave.' Gripping his spear Allen smirked. 'But they didn't say I could knock him out before doing so.'

Sasuke gave an interested hum. "Judging from your sudden shift in posture I wager you're going to attack me." He then tossed the visor away. "Well, that's fine too. I was curious how strong a level six is, so this is a good opportunity for me." Sasuke said, his right eye turning red.

Allen ignored the sudden change in his eye as he gripped his spear tighter while Sasuke simply stood. Over to the side Allen's visor which had been tossed away landed on the ground with an echoing clack.

Allen dashed forward thrusting his spear straight through his chest, but made sure to avoid any vital organs so that he wouldn't die. As his spear was inches away Allen smirked. "Gatcha-! What?!"

As it was about to hit him in the chest Sasuke suddenly sidestepped and withdrew his blade, swinging upward redirecting the spear and leaving Allen open to an attack.

But he didn't exactly follow through with it. Instead of using his sword, Sasuke simply kicked Allen in the side sending him flying. Allen, much to his shock and surprise, felt some of his ribs audibly crack. He skidded along the floor before he quickly recovered, taking one knee and coughing in pain, holding his side.

Allen's anger rose as he got injured by this level one, this humiliation giving him the strength to retaliate. Pushing himself up, he readied up to go once more.

"I don't mind if you take a potion right now," Sasuke said, sheathing his sword. "I'd prefer if you could fight me a your best, which you clearly aren't anymore."

"Shut up!" Allen yelled before charging again, leaving a crater from where he once stood. He thrust his spear stabbing the air multiple times, his weapon became a blur, but Sasuke dodged and weaved through them all. "Raaaaaagh!"

"I see," Sasuke commented calmly as he continued to dodge Allen's strikes. "I half-expected for you to be as fast as KCM2 but I was very wrong." Sasuke dodged an attack that Allen had overreached before performing a leg sweep breaking his balance and striking his chest with an open palm. "You're not even as fast as that loser. Hell, even the Fourth Raikage is faster than you. Are you even trying? Or is it because you're injured? Are you perhaps still holding back?"

His words only managed to raise Allen's anger even more, he was starting to see red. Gripping his spear even tighter until his knuckles turned white, he ignored the pain in his body before charging once more at his top speed. In a blink of an eye, the tip of his spear was inches away from Sasuke's face. He was sure, he was sure that this time it would hit!

Wake up to reality.

Sasuke met the attack head-on and deflected it with his sword before sending Allen, once again, flying with a roundhouse kick to the head sending him crashing into the ground, his vision started to get blurry.

"Your attack was a lot stronger and faster this time. Perhaps it was the adrenaline helping along with the inertia generated by your sudden burst of speed?" Sasuke said as he walked up to him. "You're definitely at Jonin level for sure, perhaps even more if you happen to be in better condition, but anyways I got what I needed. Thank you." Allen shakily looked him in the eye, his head was hurting, but he was still conscious enough to glare at him. "Now, go to sleep and forget everything that has happened here." Sasuke looked at him in the eye as his red eye glowed and started... spinning?

The last thing Allen saw before losing consciousness was his red eye spinning ominously. His eyelids grew heavy and his mind relaxed, all he could think about was going to sleep. Yes, sleep. That... sounded... nice...

As he was about to slip into Hynos' domain he uttered someone's name.

"An... ya..."

Sasuke deactivated his Sharingan and watched as Allen slumped on the ground, unresponsive, curious about the person whose name he spoke before losing consciousness. Was it a lover or a family member? Were they a character in the show? Who knows?

Even if he did get back the memories of Danmachi, he doesn't remember much about the anime anyway since he had paid very little attention to it but he'll shelf the information for later.

Thankfully he went down without much of a fight. It was a good thing he discovered that Genjutsu not only worked but was much more potent in this world. Sasuke shamelessly used Genjutsu on a bunch of other Adventurers he would find in the Dungeon to test out the effects it would have on this world's natives.

He didn't harm any of them, in fact, he secretly compensated them for it too by slipping plenty of Drop Items in their pouches.

Anyways, Sasuke discovered that their spiritual and physical energies are separated as opposed to his which were mixed together. He speculated that because they were separated the Genjustu wouldn't be diluted by the physical energy thus making the people in this world more susceptible to illusions or any mental interference justsu's, or magic in this case.

So unless they have some sort of skill or development ability that resists mental interference they'll easily fall under his gaze.

Looking back at the sleeping Allen he grabbed him by the collar and dragged him into an empty corner on the floor. He then used Earth Release to create an earth dome around him to prevent him from being discovered by monsters or any passing Adventures.

He'll probably be pissed once he wakes up, but it's a lot better than being killed. Sasuke would've killed him if it weren't for the fact that he's one of few level sixs in the world. His disappearance will cause a stir in Orario.

He was about to leave until he noticed a gleam in the distance, it was Allen's spear. The one he used to unsuccessfully kill him with.

Holding out his hand, Sasuke used the [Deva Path] to pull the weapon towards him. Once in his grasp, he inspected it closely. It was most certainly high quality. Its silver design was simplistic yet very aesthetically pleasing. It would definitely fetch a high price if he were to sell it.

He looked back to where Allen was, "I'll be taking this as compensation for stalking me for the past week. No hard feelings?" Sasuke stored the weapon in one of his storage seals and left the Dungeon.

In the Guild, Rose Fannett was quietly finishing up her paperwork for the day, she was enjoying the peace and quiet as on a rare occasion her coworkers were more focused on their jobs rather than gossiping. Usually, it would be a lot noisier since most of the time everyone would simply get bored standing around all day and would resort to the aforementioned gossiping.

"Ah! Rose's boyfriend at 12 o'clock!"

"There he is, looking handsome as ever."

"Stop it you two! Such behavior is very unprofessional!"

Rose couldn't help but sigh as she heard Sophie and Misha's teasing voices along with Eina's who was scolding them. The four of them had gotten a lot closer ever since she was assigned to be the advisor to the raven-haired boy.

However, what brought them together was the constant teasing.

She glanced up to see his stoic face make eye contact with her. Unbeknownst to her, her tail started wagging as he approached. However, this didn't escape the eyes of her colleagues who had varying reactions towards this.

Sophie gave a sly smirk, Misha was openly snickering, and Eina was worriedly blushing. It was obvious by now that their redheaded coworker had a thing for her advisee. Though none of them were brave enough to point out that fact, the last time they did they had a week's worth of overtime.

"Good afternoon, Sasuke," Rose greeted as Sasuke lifted a bag of Magic Stones. "The usual then?" He nodded and then handed her the bag. She accepted and noticed that it was lighter than usual. "Not a lot. Bad day?"

He shook his head and lifted another bag from... somewhere. "I mainly went down to collect some Drop Items for my Captain. She needed some supplies for a new potion she was making. Wasn't really planning on staying long." He stored the bag again as she nodded her head.

As she was about to go and exchange his Drop Items Sophie popped up from behind and took the bag from her hands. Rose blinked in surprise, she was about to ask what she was doing but Sophie spoke first.

"I'll handle this," Sophie said with a sly smile. "You've been working too hard lately and you need a break. In the meantime, you can chat with your advisee. Buh-Bye!"

Before she could even get a word in Sophie was already gone. Rose sighed, she wasn't blind to what she was doing. She could her the slyness in her tone which immediately exposed her true intentions. But she wasn't mad at her, if anything, she didn't know how to feel now.

"Have you been overworking yourself?"

She jolted in surprise at Sasuke's question. Facing him, he was currently eyeing her face, searching for the slightest bit of signs of fatigue.

"No. Not really. Sophie is just messing with me." She replied with a sigh.

"But the Guild work is probably tiring for an unblessed, right?"

She nodded at Sasuke's observation, and then he suddenly pulled something out and handed it to her.

"Here," Sasuke held out a clay tube that Rose had never seen before. Noticing Rose's curious stare he explained. "It's called a thermos, I made it myself. It's a container that preserves the temperature of whatever's inside of it." He placed it down on her desk popping out the cap and took the thermos, pouring the contents in the cap-turned cup.

A stream of brown liquid poured out, and a delectable scent invaded her nose as she found herself wanting.

"It's coffee, I brewed it myself. It helps me relax a bit." He offered a cup to her and she could see the warm steam still present. She hesitated a bit to which Sasuke saw this and misinterpreted the situation. "There's nothing bad in it, and it's perfectly safe to drink." To prove his point, Sasuke took the cup and took a small sip.

Rose watched as he placed the cup back down on the counter. She could still see the spot where his lips touched the cup. She gulped and reached for the cup when Sophie's voice rang.

"Here you are, Mister Uchiha!" Sophie appeared behind Sasuke holding a bag of his valis which prompted him to turn his back towards her to speak with the silver-haired elf. "There wasn't a lot in there so the exchanging process was quicker than usual."

"Thank you, but I told you to drop the Mister."

Sophie laughed a bit. "Sorry, I forgot."

Rose then noticed that Sophie winked at her as she kept talking to Sasuke. Rose looked back down in the cup and, against her better judgment, turned it around to the spot where his lips touched it and began drinking.

"Mmmh~"

Rose unconsciously let out a soft moan that was only heard by those who were close to her. As soon as her lips touched the cup a strange feeling coursed through her body and invaded every inch of it. She twitched as she felt a pleasant tingle make its way into her stomach which was slowly making its way to her loi-

"Ahem."

Rose was brought out of her reverie when Sophie coughed loudly. Her face grew bright red as she realized what she had done.

"So, that must have been some really nice coffee, huh?" Sophie was smiling wryly at her. Sasuke, on the other hand, was staring at his thermos.

"Is this brew better than I thought?" Sasuke muttered, inspecting the thermos on hand.

"I-I'm sorry! I didn't know what came over me." Rose shyly handed the cup back to Sasuke who began inspecting it.

He blinked in surprise when he found out that some of his residual chakra was left on the cup. Since he made the thermos using high-level earth release, there was some chakra left that stuck itself on the container.

But why did Rose react the way she did?

"It's fine. You looked more relaxed and that's all that matters." Sasuke stored the thermos again. "Anyways, I need to head back. Goodbye."

With a polite bow, Sasuke left the Guild. As soon as he left Rose was besieged by her three coworkers.

"Rose! What was that reaction?!" Sophie was immediately on her side.

"Yeah! You were like, enjoying that coffee way too much!" Misha said with Eina reprimanding her.

Rose once again sighed. "I don't know. Honestly. I really don't have a single clue why I did that." She gazes back at the entrance of the Guild. "But it wasn't bad."

Sasuke sat in his room in a meditative state concentrating on his chakra control exercises.

Breath in. Breath out.

Even after a month he still hadn't gotten used to the feeling of this foreign energy dwelling inside him. He managed to learn sensing through this exercise, though this might be attributed to the Hashirama Cells in his heart.

During the fourth great ninja war, his predecessor had fallen in battle and was later revived using custom roided-up Hashirama Cells from Kabuto in an attempt to resuscitate him. It was successful in fully regenerating his heart but after that, it wasn't addressed anymore. His heart still retained those cells and they are very much still active.

The topic of Hashirama Cells he received was never brought up again in either the manga or the anime and was mostly forgotten about. Heck, he even drained a reanimated Hashirama of his remaining Senjutsu further amplifying the cells in his heart. But I guess Kishimoto can't make him too strong or something along those lines for the sake of Boruto.

Regardless, it happened in universe, and the proof of its existence is right here, in his chest.

Letting out a breath Sasuke uttered, "Sage Mode." There were no visual changes that occurred but the same couldn't be said internally. His senses were better and wider as he felt himself getting physically stronger.

"1, 2, 3, 4, 5..."

Sasuke began counting. Measuring how long he can maintain Sage Mode. Contrary to what Madara had shown, Sasuke couldn't simply use Sage Mode whenever he wanted. When he first discovered how to use Sage mode he could only use it for thirty seconds before his heart acted up.

The reason why still alludes him to this day. His predecessor doesn't have much knowledge on the topic so it'll be up to him to figure things out.

"67, 68, 69, 70, 7-!"

Sasuke abruptly stopped counting once his heart started to ache. It felt like he was suffering from a heart attack. Quickly deactivating Sage Mode he felt the pain disappear leaving only phantom pains.

"One minute and ten seconds is my new limit."

Keeping a mental note of the discovery, Sasuke stood back up and massaged his chest, trying to ease the pain. Letting out a grunt of discomfort he walked toward his nightstand and retrieved a potion in the drawer.

One swig of it and the pain gradually receded. He let out a sigh of relief, placing the empty bottle down he looked at the clock in his room. Seeing that it was past midday he decided to go for a walk. Having nothing else better to do he might as well stop by his favorite pastry shop.

"Hmm."

"U-um."

Sasuke did indeed make it to his favorite pastry shop, Evelyn's Bakery, glad to see that they had his favorite snack in stock. An assorted flavors of macarons. It was one of the sweets he truly liked. Though it was a bit pricy, he thinks it was well worth the valis.

What he didn't expect was bumping into the Protagonist again by pure chance.

"Make sure to share it with your Goddess."

"Ah! Yes! Thank you again!"

Sasuke, feeling generous today, decided to buy another box for Bell to share with Hestia. Knowing that they're still a bit in a pinch financially, he decided that giving them a snack would help boost their moods a bit.

He can be nice sometimes.

As of right now, the two have been walking together since the way back to their respective homes together. Bell, looking a little battered, was still wearing his rookie gear along with a backpack. He's been an adventurer for a week now, right?

"How are things going, Bell?" Sasuke asked, getting the young boy's attention. "I meant as an adventurer. Is the new life treating you well? Anything giving you a hard time?"

"Ah, well. Now that you mention it," Bell scratched the back of his head. "It has been difficult getting my status up, and I had trouble fighting off the monsters on the first floor. They're tough but I can easily defeat them now."

"I see. What floors are you on right now?"

"Oh. Um, I'm on the third floor."

"Already going to the third floor in your first week as an adventurer is a little fast don't you think?" Sasuke gave the boy a side eye that he shied away from. "It's reckless to blindly charge ahead when you're not strong enough to take on said floor." The kid's shoulder slumped a bit. "That's what everyone says anyway. I don't mind you charging in recklessly so long as you know the consequences of such actions."

"Consequences?" Bell asked unsurely to which Sasuke nodded.

"Yes. Consequences. Like for example, if something were to happen to you, your Goddess would no doubt be devastated to lose her first member of her Familia." Bell noticeably freeze at his words, no doubt his mind running through the scenario. "There could be other things, but I can't think of any at the top of my head so I'll leave that to your imagination. The point is, if you're going to do something think about what effects it'll have on your surroundings. People especially."

Taking a peek at the boy, his expression changed drastically. He might venture down more or he might not. If he stops he might not get that skill...

"However, only take my advice with a grain of salt," Sasuke suddenly spoke up, stopping and facing Bell. "Never let anyone dictate what you should do. This life you live is yours to dictate. Don't let me, your goddess, or any other god tell you how to live your life."

Bell, who remained silent the entire time reacted to this man's words. That phrase felt familiar. Suddenly, his mind went back in time to a distant memory in the fields of his and his grandfather's farm.

"If you want I could teach you a thing or two that could help you in the dungeon." Bell was brought out of his reprieve at Sasuke's offer.

"Teach me? Like training?"

Contrary to what people might think, Sasuke does feel concerned about a boy as young as Bell going into the Dungeon where monsters lurk in every corner and has been known for having the highest death rate for adventurers, especially rookies. Sasuke was born in a world where, fortunately, he didn't have to do such things at his age, the most trouble he got was fist fights in school. It's almost easy to forget that stuff like these are common in this world.

He didn't like it.

"Yeah, something like that," Sasuke said, withdrawing a kunai and masterfully handling it. "I can at least teach you how to hold a knife properly. Along with some moves suitable for your current weapon. If you plan on sticking with it." He looked back at Bell, directing the unasked question.

"Yes. I feel comfortable with the knife as my weapon."

"So, you accept?"

Bell thought about it for a moment before nodding his head. He turned to face him and bowed a full ninety degrees. "I'll be in your care, Mister Sasuke!"

Sighing, he bonked the boy's head with the butt end of the kunai. "I told you not to call me that." He sight as he sheathed the weapon. "If we're gonna do this at least call me Sensei. It's Far Eastern for Teacher." Sasuke explained as Bell nodded in understanding.

"I understand, Sensei!"

"Hn. Since there's still some daylight left I'll teach you a couple of things. You live in the ruined part of the city, right?" Bell nodded. "Then we'll train there since it's secluded enough and people won't be a bother."

"Okay! Please follow me!" Bell took the lead and directed Sasuke to his home.

Once there Sasuke noted the feeling of absolute emptiness in the area. Not a soul insight. The buildings look dilapidated as well as looking ready to fall apart anytime now. Yet, at the same time, there is a feeling of tranquility to be found here. Almost like it's a part of nature in a way. Weird as that sounds.

Bell stopped right in front of a ruined church, "This is our Familia Home. Please come in."

"No, I'm not staying for long today. Just drop off your stuff and get back here quickly. And be sure to be armed." Sasuke told him, taking off his poncho for this and hanging it on a loose piece of wood on the church wall.

Bell nodded and rushed inside, dropping off the box of macarons he gave him before coming back. He was still wearing his adventuring gear, so there was no need for him to change.

"Draw your weapon. Let me see how you hold it."

"Right!"

Bell withdrew his knife and Sasuke raised a brown when he saw how sloppy his hold on it was. Shaking his head he walked over to him before adjusting his grip. "Sloppy work. Something I can forgive since you most likely never held a weapon before in your life." After adjusting his grip, Sasuke took a step back and withdrew a kunai. "First rule, don't wield your knife in a reverse grip if you starting out."

Sasuke demonstrated some techniques as he instructed Bell to watch carefully. "I don't care how cool you think holding your knife like that is, unless you have a solid foundation don't ever attempt to hold it like that again. You'll develop bad habits that way." Sasuke then demonstrated the same moves in a reverse grip this time. "Once you're skilled enough you can hold your weapon however you like. There are also some techniques that transition well between the two grips. A reverse grip is better for hit-and-run tactics. Accumulate many cuts on your opponent to aggravate them and deal the final blow when they let their guard down."

As Sasuke was explaining Bell began imitating him, grateful for the older adventurer for teaching him. With this, his Goddess would have something less to worry about. Every swing he copied he felt his confidence rise. Sasuke noticed this and smiled, he finished his demonstration and faced Bell.

"How about a quick spar, Bell?" Sasuke offered, holding his kunai in front of him. Bell looked at him and smiled before taking a stance himself.

"Yes! I would like that, Sensei!"

Sasuke chuckled at Bell's enthusiasm. "Then let's go." At his words, Bell rushed at him and the two began their spar. Later that day Hestia would come home to find a beaten-up Bell passed out on the sofa and spent the rest of the night interrogating him on who 'beat him up'.

"Ah Sasuke! Welcome home!"

Sasuke came back to see Miach manning the store. His radiant smile sent a bad shiver down his spine. A feeling usually reserved for when he was against a dangerous opponent that was intent on harming him.

Looking past him he could see Naaza with an uncharacteristically bright smile that almost matched Miach's but hers was much more genuine. However, seeing the dichotomy of the feeling he's getting between the two, he could only assume that something eventful happened while he was away.

"I'm back," Sasuke said, walking up to them. "I also bought some macarons again." He raised two boxes and placed them on the counter.

"Oh, how thoughtful of you, Sasuke. Thank you."

Miach thanked him like normal. And now that he's closer he can tell that whatever Miach was feeling, it wasn't directed at him or Naaza. So that begs the question. What could have happened for the kindest God he knew to emit such murderous feelings?

"Okay. Something definitely happened today." Sasuke looked at both of them. "Mind letting me in on it?"

Naaza was happy to speak first. "I just finished brewing a new potion that can restore both the body and mind." She raised a potion for us to see with a smile that can only be described as 'smug'. "I call it the Dual Potion! The potency is the same as a High-Potion. With this, we can sell them for several tens of thousands of valis."

Naaza proudly declared, her smile could not be any bigger now. This was probably the first time he saw the apathetic girl this vibrant. He would have clapped if he had a second hand so he'll settle for verbal praise.

"Congratulations, Captain."

"Indeed. Amazing work, Naaza. Good job."

Naaza's tail wagged at the praise she received unbeknownst to the girl. She simply reveled in her accomplishment. She was glad that she was able to finally contribute to the Familia.

"Thank you. But I couldn't have done with it if it weren't for Sasuke getting the necessary ingredients."

"I was nothing, Captain." Sasuke deflected the praise before facing Miach. "How about you, Miach? I can tell that something happened. I don't think I've ever seen you this angry before."

Miach blinked at him, and so did Naaza. Gone were her feelings of accomplishment as she was now focused on Miach. He guessed that she didn't notice the Miach was upset, too distracted about the creation of the Dual Potion.

"Did something happen, Lord Miach?" Naaza was now in serious mode. The no-nonsense attitude that can get Miach to spill anything. Usually reserved for whether he gave away free potions to people again.

Sasuke will check the stock later.

Seeing that he wasn't getting out of this Miach sighed, "I guess there's no use hiding it." Miach then looked me in the eyes. "It has something involving you, Sasuke."

"Me?"

Sasuke tilted his head. Confused as to why it would concern him. Ever since he got here he's been keeping a low profile. He didn't like getting attention so he's never done anything outlandish or anything that might make him stand out. Well, maybe the whole Drop Items and Magic Stones debacle but that couldn't have warranted enough attention the put him on the table. So what gives?

"Sasuke. Truthfully, a God is interested in you."

Both Sasuke and Naaza recoiled at the news.

"A God? Who?!" Naaza was the first to ask while he began thinking back on the number of Gods he interacted with for the past month. The number of Deities he interacted with can be counted on his only hand. "And why do they want him?"

Sasuke was surprised to hear Naaza getting defensive for him. Usually, this kind of side of her is only reserved for when some harlot, her words not his, would talk or flirt with Miach. It warmed his heart to know that they were getting closer.

But back to the matter at hand.

"Who is it? Is it someone we should be worried about?" Sasuke places a hand on Naaza's shoulder, calming her down.

Miach looked angry for a moment as if remembering this individual was causing him to get angry.

"His name is Aeshma."

"Doesn't ring a bell. How about you, Captain?"

"Never heard of him either."

Miach couldn't help but let out a small chuckle at the deadpan faces of his children. However, the moment didn't last long. "He's a God that collects adventures that he likes and would do anything to get them. He's almost as bad as Freya and Ishtar," Miach's eyes hardened. "He's willing to use any dirty tactic to do it, even if it might result in a War Game."

That got their attention. Sasuke and Naaza looked at each other. Sasuke may be new, but he knows what a War Game is and what it usually entails. It is usually treated as a way for Deities to settle disputes through battle, gaining a form of entertainment in the process.

Naaza frowned. "But why would he want Sasuke?"

Miach sighed, "He came here earlier today when Sasuke left for the dungeon and when you locked yourself in the brewing room. He demanded that I give up on Sasuke, saying that he'll reach his full potential in his Familia rather than ours." Sasuke noticed that Miach was clenching his fist as he spoke. "Knowing that we are still in debt with Dian, he even offered a large amount of valis in exchange. Of course, I declined, but he's not the type to give up, that much I know."

Miach then walked out from the counter and faced Sasuke, placing his hands on his child's shoulders. "I won't hand you over to him no matter what, Sasuke." The firm and reassuring tone in his voice made him believe him instantly. Sasuke knew that from simply being with them Miach isn't the type of God to buckle under intimidation like this. But it also posed another problem that he'll most likely have to deal with. Quietly.

"I understand, Miach, and thank you for your concern. You also don't have to worry. I have a feeling that this will just blow over in a couple of days. And if it doesn't then I'll deal with it."

"We will deal with it," Naaza interjected, joining the conversation. "As a Familia, this problem also involves us."

Sasuke chuckled, "Of course." he was truly glad to have chosen this Familia, he wasn't sure if others would go to such great lengths for a new level one member who hadn't even been an adventurer for that long. "But let's forget about that for now. I brought home some macarons and I've been feeling a little famished."

"Right," Miach smiled. "Let's not have this situation get to us."

Naaza agreed as well as she opened the box and everyone dug in. Everyone was enjoying this little reprieve, but Sasuke knew better than to let this go. Individuals like that who would demand another person shouldn't be let off lightly. Be it Mortals or Deities all is equal in the face of an Uchiha.

"Lord Aeshma, are you sure it is wise to offer such an amount of valis to that dirty-looking Familia?" Gregory, a member of Aeshma Familia, asked his God. "Wouldn't it be better to simply take that individual by force?"

Aeshma, a God who has taken the unsavory hobby of collecting individuals, whether they be ordinary civilians or adventurers, managed to catch his eye in order to breed them and create the perfect adventurer. He had succeeded in this endeavor in the past and the result of this is his current Familia Captain, Enoch. Born from selective breeding Enoch has displayed the strength of a level two at just only level one! Amazing!

"You simply don't understand, Gregory, that boy," Aeshma shivered in delight just from the memory alone. Just remembering his gaze, his handsome features, and his gait as he moved through the streets it brought an unknown sensation throughout his body. "He was perfect! He is just what I need to realize my ideal adventurer!"

Over at the side of the God's office, Enoch gritted his teeth in jealousy. Hearing that his good is giving a random *mongrel* such attention, completely disregarding his existence, was infuriating. He was with his God when they spotted their target. With perfectly structured features along with a flawless complexion, their target exuded such an aura of superiority that it made *him of all people* feel completely inadequate.

"B-But, Lord Aeshma, please consider our-"

Gregory was harshly cut off when Enoch gave the man a fierce glare.

"If it is our Lord's will then it will be done," Enoch spoke with finality making Gregory drop the matter.

Aeshma let out a laugh, "As I say! We shall return tomorrow and demand Miach for the Adventurer. If he refuses again, then we shall threaten him by declaring a War Game!" With only two members at level one, Aeshma was more confident that Miach will surrender his child.

"Understood, Lord Aeshma." Enoch bowed his head.

"Y-Yes, Lord Aeshma." Gregory followed suit.

"How about a second opinion."

The entire room went quiet as everyone's attention went to the new voice that joined the conversation. There, standing right next to their God was their next capture target. Sasuke's sudden appearance was met with shock as well as an ominous feeling bearing down on everyone present. It was as if death had come for them. With his single hand, he grabbed the God by his red hair and slammed his face down at his own desk so hard that it broke upon impact. The God, bleeding, went limp as he was immediately knocked out.

SLAM!

""Lord Aeshma!""

Both Enoch and Gregory jumped into action, ready to take down the intruder. Gregory charged straight at Sasuke with daggers while Enoch quickly began chanting a spell. However, all their efforts were for naught. Sasuke body flicked towards Gregory and knocked him to the side with a powerful kick to the face sending him crashing into the wall, cracking it, before dealing with Enoch by shooting him with a black receiver that hit his shoulder causing him to lose concentration and cause an Ignis Fatuus.

BOOM!

"Argh!" Enoch suffered the consequence of not finishing his chant properly, causing whatever magic he was forming to destabilize and, quite literally, blow up in his face.

He was knocked back against the wall, his body in pain, not just from his misfired spell but also from this unknown rod stabbed in his shoulder. He tries to move his body but is shocked to find out that his body won't listen to him. His eyes darted frantically, first to his God, who was still knocked out, then to the one responsible. The raven-haired man had his back towards him as he stood over Gregory's fallen form before stabbing him with the same black rod on his shoulder causing the man to scream in pain before being promptly silenced with a swift kick on his stomach.

"You know, I never expected to find such filth that would remind me of Orochimaru's experiments within this city," Sasuke said, his tone dark and icy that brought an involuntary shiver down Enoch's spine. He left Gregory and walked towards the fallen God, picking him up by the neck before tossing him to the center of the room. "But then again, you can find filth like this just about anywhere if you look hard enough."

Enoch glared at Sasuke with intensity equivalent to a raging forest fire. His face set into a defiant sneer, "Lay your filthy hand on our God again mongrel and I swear I-"

He was cut off when Sasuke's hand began crackling in electricity, shocked to see a spell being cast without even a chant. The sheer intensity of the electricity was enough to affect the air around them. A tingling sensation was felt through his body despite being far away from him.

"Monster," Enoch muttered, his mind was running a mile minute trying to figure out a plan to get him and his God out of this mess. It wasn't until he saw Gregory slowly stir that an idea popped into his head. "You mongrel! Do you realize the consequences that come with harming a God?" Enoch spoke as he saw Sasuke's hand descend to the still knocked-out Aeshma.

Sasuke stopped and looked at him. His ringed purple eye now had commas whereas earlier today he remembered seeing none. His right eye, which he definitely remembered was an onyx black was now red with a starburst pattern.

"I know," Sasuke replied. "I just don't care."

Enoch was surprised to hear that. He said it with such cold calm that it made him shiver once more. It angered him that someone like him was being intimidated, but this was good, he had the monster's attention. Behind Sasuke, Enoch saw Gregory quietly get up, drawing one of his daggers.

"You and your Familia will suffer the consequences once everyone finds out what you've done. Your soul will be dammed in Heaven!"

'Yes that's it! Just a little more, Gregory!' Enoch silently cheered as Gregory got closer and closer to Sasuke. 'Just a couple more steps!'

"And how are you going to do that? As far as I can tell you're at my mercy and I'm still standing."

Enoch just grinned madly, "Not for long! NOW, GREGORY!"

Gregory, who was quietly walking towards Sasuke simply walked past him, much to Enoch's shock.

"Gregory! What are you doing you imbecile!? KILL HIM!" Enoch screamed at Gregory but he didn't listen and just kept walking... towards him.

"Gregory?" Enoch's confusion was answered when Gregory got closer. And to his shock, he saw Gregory with the same eyes as the monster, staring at him blankly whilst walking towards him. "Wha-What is this! Gregory! What happened-Gah!"

Enoch was silenced when 'Gregory' stuck his knife inside his mouth and proceeded to cut off his tongue. Blood splattered across the puppet's face, but he didn't react to any of it at all.

"Hmm. Good to know that I can control people so long as they're knocked out and not just dead." Sasuke hummed to himself as he watched Enoch scream and writhe in pain. "Keep him pinned down. And if he tries to break free then take one of his eyes."

He didn't really need to vocalize his orders, but it was best to make him think that he was controlling 'Gregory' via verbal commands or something similar rather than puppeteering. He also wanted to distract him from the Black Receiver still stuck on his shoulder. Enoch was now lying there, down on the ground, screaming in pain with his tongue severed, bleeding on the carpet floor while 'Gregory' was keeping him pinned.

He shook his head, pitying the stupid fool. Though it was probably his fault for giving Enoch false hope by pretending that 'Gregory' was going to attack him from behind. With the nuisance out of the way, he continued to proceed with waking up the God.

ZAP!

"Gah!" Aeshma's eyes snapped open. His eyes darted around until they focused on him before giving the same fierce glare Enoch had given him moments ago. "You!" He spoke with such venom that he might have mistaken him as venomous. "As I say! Release me at once and pay for your sins!"

"Hmm. How about no."

Sasuke then proceeds to stomp on God's stomach causing him to spit out his blood. He held back immensely as causing too much damage to a Deity might cause them to activate their Arcanum and retreat back to Heaven. He's only doing enough damage that a non-blessed mortal can endure without dying.

"I've investigated you and your entire fucking Familia, you know?" Sasuke said, grabbing him by the neck and lifting him up, choking him. His hands jumped and grabbed Sasuke's wrist in a vain attempt to free himself. "at first I wasn't planning on taking you down or anything, but when I found out that you were breeding Mortals..." Sasuke coldly looked the God dead in the eye. "You reminded me of that bastard Danzo. I thought that Gods couldn't be any more disgusting, but you proved me wrong. So congratulations, you've successfully made me want to try my hand at killing a God."

Aeshma, knowing that he was telling the truth, began to struggle. He was brought closer to Sasuke, making him look at his mismatched eyes. "Now, I'm going to make sure you're going to pay for all you've done." Aeshma felt his consciousness slip as he kept staring at his eyes. "I've already tested this on Miach so I know it works. Aeshma, you will become my puppet, a mortal's plaything for me to use how I see fit. And once I'm through with you, I'll make you, a God, make you wish for your own death."

Sasuke watched as a hypnotized Aeshma freed the women and children he had kept captive, as well as the few members of his Familia who surrendered. One by one he removed their Falna from their backs with a blank look on his face, freeing them from his clutches. His mind is completely dominated, nary a trace of his ego could be seen. Their biggest downfall was their power being sealed which made them susceptible to Mind Control as much as Mortals were.

Mind Control wasn't a threat in this world due to the fact that such a thing is only attainable through the Falna, and even still if one were here to get Mind Control magic it would most likely be less effective and would have plenty of restrictions unlike his Mangekyou Sharingan Genjustsu. Or even the default Sharingan Genjustsu.

His original plan was simply to pull an Obito and hypnotize Aeshma into giving up on him and perhaps releasing the few adventurers he took. But when he investigated his Familia's activities he had changed his plans. Women, mostly civilians that were kidnapped, were being kept as prisoners and forced to breed with- No, he was being too generous with that word. They were being raped, plain and simple, against their will. All because they were either forced or tricked into a Familia they didn't want to be in. When he saw what was going on he couldn't just let this go.

So, after securing the perimeter, by that, he meant knocking out all the guards standing outside since killing them would alert Aeshma, since a Deity will know when one of their children dies. He then proceeded to stealthily and systematically take down everyone inside the mansion.

As it turns out there are small numbers of Aeshma's Famila members that were against all of this but couldn't do anything because it was an order from a Deity. He can understand that, in this world, going against a God is unheard of and considered to be taboo. No mortal can go against a God's Divine Will without consequence, that's just common sense.

But some of them were more than glad to follow Aeshma's orders. So he made sure to kill those who actively participated in the raping first after he dealt with Aeshma. After that, he inquired about who not to kill from the victims themselves, since there is a possibility of a whistleblower around. Thankfully they were more cooperative than he originally thought, perhaps the thought of killing the ones who had continued to assault them was motivation enough.

After getting the victims' testimonies he used his Sharingan to read their memories to get a more accurate picture of his targets. He had never wanted to murder anyone so badly after seeing what they all went through.

"Really now," Sasuke sighed as he continued keeping watch. "It hasn't even been a year and I'm dealing with shit like this." He rubbed his head wearily when he heard footsteps.

"U-Um. Thank you for saving us."

Sasuke glanced at his side to see one of the victims, a woman in her early twenties with long flowing brown hair, approach him cautiously. He couldn't blame her. Heck, he wouldn't even be surprised if every victim here developed some sort of phobia towards men.

"Don't mention it, to anyone, period."

The disheveled girl fidgets in place, struggling to find the proper words to say. Sasuke noticed this and sighed.

"What is it?" Sasuke asked as calmly as he could without scaring the girl while he kept his gaze firmly on Aeshma.

The girl took in a breath, gathering some courage, "I-I have a sister," This caught his attention. "I-I want to find her. I promised a l-long time ago that I would come back after a year after earning enough money." She was trembling now. "Please help me find her."

She bowed her head, shaking like a leaf. She wants to find her sister? Can't she find her on her own?

"...How long have you been here?" Sasuke gently asked.

"F-Four years." The girl replied, her voice trembling. "I-I can't remember a lot of things after they forced me to take drugs."

THAT caught his attention.

"Drugs?" Sasuke asked and she nodded her head. He narrowed his eyes before he looked at everyone present. "Who else was forced to take drugs and have memory problems?"

Few have raised their hands. Thankfully it was a manageable number. He can help, help them all within a couple of days. He'll need to come with up a believable excuse though to tell his Familia.

"Alright, everyone who has their Falna removed, gather here. I'll do my best to help you all and hopefully get you all home and back to your loved ones. But I'll need everyone's cooperation for this to happen. Now, let's start off with those who have families inside Orario, raise your hand and come forward,a nd I'll escort you back to your homes after this.

A majority came forward. This is going to be a long night.

Author's Note

Hey Hey Hey. Phantom here, back with another chapter to this Fanfic. Now this chapter focuses on Sasuke's combat capabilities and the lengths he willing to go through to maintain his peaceful life. The last part about Aeshma wasn't supposed to be here originally, it was suppose to be in the far off future. But then I remembered a certain phrase that made rethink that decision.

Shit Happens.

Whether you want it or not, the world doesn't bow to you every whim, and inconveniences tends to happen like this all the time. A few days ago, I met up with someone who I didn't want to meet all because that on a whim, I decided to go out and touch some grass. I had not expected to bump into someone I knew but it happened anyways.

But I was still on the fence on writing it. So I left it up to fate with a coin toss. Guess which won. But this is also great as it can tie in with the next chapter where I try and showcase Sasuke's intelligence as best I can.

Don't expect much fighting or combat in this fic. Like I said before, I plan for this to be a slice of life-like kinda fic. And if anyone complains about the action in this chapter, I just wanna point out that Kobayashi Maid Dragon is a slice of life anime with some GOD-Tier combat scenes. Seriously, there was no need for them to go that hard.

Anyways that's all for me. This Fic was spell checked by Grammarly.
