While Ironhide was confronting Optimus, the other dinobots had noticed something different about their leader. "Leader Grimlock gone soft?" Swoop asked, having noticed Grimlock being more distant with the other dinobots.
"Me Grimlock no soft. Me Grimlock find mate" Grimlock stated, clearly showing he was still the leader of this bunch.
"Who Grimlock find?" Slag asked, wanting to know.
"Him named Lancex. Me even kiss bot" Grimlock replied, proud of what he had done.
"So when Grimlock claim bot?" Sludge quieted. All were curious to hear what Grimlock would say.
"No claim yet. Too much Con activity. Also may have other bot want me Grimlock's mate" Grimlock added.
"Who other bot" Swoop asked, knowing few bots were as powerful as Grimlock.
"Me think Prime after Lancex. Me no let him" Grimlock replied.
"Be careful. Prime powerful bot" Slag added.
"Me be careful. Me no stupid bot" Grimlock shot back. The others merely nodded, for all knew once Grimlock set his mind on something, very little could change it.
And elsewhere, Ultra Magnus and Skyfire were having a stare down. Each blamed the other for Aquaformer getting injured in the most recent skirmish with the cons. Optimus had not assigned either to fight with the femme but both and secretly tried to, which ended up with Aquaformer not only being hit with enemy fire, but also friendly fire. She would have crashed hard into the ground had Ironhide and Mirage not have caught her. She didn't know who had hit her, but she was not pleased as she was hauled away to be seen by Ratchet.
"What your damage?" Cliffjumper asked the two bigger bots.
"Excuse me?" Ultra Magnus replied, not quite understanding what Cliffjumper was referring to.
"Neither of you were assigned to help in the area you helped in. What's going on with you two? What's got you two so wound up you barely listen to the Prime?"
"I thought I reached the area I was assigned to" Skyfire answered.
"Me too" Ultra Magnus uttered, not wanting The shuttle to through Magnus under the bus so to speak.
"You two do realize that part of the damage to Aquaformer was from friendly fire, don't you?" Jumper charged. "Now do I need to ask further?"
"Fine… I fell for her the first time I saw her, she was fighting with the cassetticons" Magnus fessed up.
"No, I like her. I fell for her the day I found her and brought her here" Skyfire retorted.
"Well, if you two don't get your act together, I can't imagine she would want either of you" Jumper threw back at them before leaving them alone to stew. That made Magnus and Skyfire think and think hard. They didn't want to lose her, but what could they do to show her both of them want her? And could they possible put up with losing her or sharing her with the other?
