Seemingly oblivious to all the drama that was happening, Optimus sat in his office. There were lots and lots of reports to go through, especially since the security bot, Red Alert, was a paranoid bot who reported anything and everything. Optimus tried hard to concentrate on the reports, but found his minding drifting elsewhere…specifically it seemed to Lancex. Something about that bot…darn… got to get back to reading these, Optimus thought.
The problem was the further he tried to push away the thoughts about Lancex, the stronger the urge became to think of the bot. And soon enough, all Optimus could think about was the bot and all his features. And when Optimus remembered that Lancex was a submissive mech, it almost made the Prime moan. All Optimus could soon see was Lancex and the bot heavily sparked with the Prime's sparklings.
But then Optimus his helm. He needed to take a walk to get his mind refocused. It was going to be easier sad than done. For as soon as Optimus and walked for only a short bit, he noticed that Ultra Magnus and Skyfire were arguing about something. Not liking the sound of it, he approached the pair. "Care to tell me what you two are arguing about?" Optimus asked the pair.
Both turned and blushed, thus temporarily ending their heated discussion. "Nothing, sir" Ultra Magnus replied. Optimus raised an optic ridge at that.
"I believe we maybe falling for the same bot, Prime" Skyfire offered up.
Optimus shook his helm. "Has it occurred to you two to try and talk to said bot rather than fight?" Optimus asked.
"I thought of that, but said bot kinda blew me off" Magnus replied, still sore from how Aquaformer had reacted to hi after her mission.
"Yeah, because you tried to talk to said bot while said bot was on a mission" Skyfire replied, earning a glare from Magnus.
"Please, for the sanity of the ark, just be civil. The Cons don't need to see infighting" Optimus reminded them. Both nodded. And with that Optimus continued his walk. He wasn't sure where his feet seemed to be taking him, but at least the walk and the breaking up of the verbal confrontation had distracted him so far.
Meanwhile, in one of the training rooms, Grimlock and Lancex were practicing their hand to had combat. Lancex was a powerful force, but Grimlock was also a force to be reckoned with. They sparred and worked on their skills, with Lancex so far none the wiser about why being around the dinobot and the Prime gave him a different feeling. But he would soon learn about why for at least one of them.
