As Mirage caught his breath, in the rec room and completely oblivious to what chaos was going on, Cosmos and Lancex found their way towards where the energon was stored. There we're many shelves, but all the energon on the lower shelves was gone. All that was left were the cubes too high for Cosmos to reach. Wanting to help and feeling bad, Lancex reached up for a cube and handed it to Cosmos before grabbing his own cube. And soon enough, they found a table to sit at.
And just after sitting down, who should enter the area but Grimlock, was had been searching for Lancex but so far had been unable to find him until now. Grimlock, already fully energized, approached the pair. Cosmos looked nervous while Lancex remained cool, calm and collected. "Why Cosmos with him Lancex?" Grimlock demanded to know, fearing things were worse than they appeared.
"Lancex needed to rest, and so we snuggled together" Cosmos replied to which Lancex nodded, neither wanting to reveal more. "He is a most excellent snuggle companion."
Grimlock nodded, and remembering the truce he had made with Optimus and Cosmos, Grimlock stayed and got to know both bots. As they talked, Grimlock revealed about the truce he had made with Cosmos and Optimus and Cosmos confirmed it. Lancex just stuttered a bit. Never in a million years did he ever think he would catch the optic as someone anywhere near as high up in the Autobot ranks as the Prime. But here it was being revealed that the Prime was hoping to win over Lancex. It blew the bot's processor, but also made him feel grateful that he followed Aquaformer that cold night so long ago.
Meanwhile, in the med bay and having finally caught his breath, Mirage revealed what he had heard from Blitzwing and Astrotrain, which disgusted and worried both Ratchet and Optimus. "Sir, I am not certain if it is the very next mission, but I have a feeling that they will not stop pursuing Lancex until they have him. From what I have heard, it sounded like Megatron was obsessed with the bot" Mirage revealed, clearly sickened by what he had overheard.
"We must put the base on alert, full alert. Ratchet, comm Aquaformer's mates and make sure they take her somewhere safe, as two things Megatron wants is Lancex to breed and Aquaformer dead. We must prepare for battle. And something tells me, that this time, one shall stand and one shall fall….permanently" Optimus uttered. Mirage and Ratchet nodded and started the prep work. The war would hopefully end soon, and they could only hope their leader was the last bot standing.
