Day 36

Donkey Kong, Yoshi, Zelda, Wolf, Ryu, Plague Knight

-/-

A giant wave crashed onto shore shewing a bird away, the survivors all made it back to their home. Donkey Kong once again literally being the king of the jungle for the day. A perfect opportunity to reference a certain castaway from the real Survivor series. Anyone watched Survivor - One World? ...One of the world real life Survivor seasons of all time?

"Well done, DK."

"Three wins!"

"Now you get to walk around here like you own the place."

"I guess this is my island, then." The ape responded to Wolf. And that comment right there was a nod to a certain player from Survivor - One World that ended up being an All Star. It was best to take it as a hint to which player DK was unintentionally referencing.

"You already have the necklace. Now all you need is a throne and you'll be good to go." In addition to what Ryu said, perhaps a crown needed to be placed on top of it his head as well. Oh, and a cape, too.

"Maybe that'll work out okay. But K. Rool is used to living in the jungle as well, so I might have competition."

Yoshi giggled wildly upon hearing that.

"Haha! Maybe I could be the king of the jungle here. If I win this game, this should officially become my island. I've already been living in the Caribbean for thirty-six days, and you can't say that I haven't put the work in. However, K. Rool might grow jealous of me, so there might be a little bit of tension. But you know what? I lasted longer in Kodai Island than he lasted in Caribbean!"

OOH!

"And I've won the necklace three times now. Has he ever won immunity? Hahahaha! ...Just playing of course. Shout out to King K. Rool and all the people that are living the jungle life. You're awesome."

He might have had a point. The jungle life had a culture of its own. Like, how about Tarzan? Everyone knew who he was. And it was probably a matter of time for Donkey Kong to eventually talk about K. Rool. They unsurprisingly lived pretty close to each other in the same world, but they of course were not aware of the other's existence until Caribbean happened. So DK joking around about him was not meant to be taken too seriously, unless K. Rool somehow took it personal.

Hooking the necklace up, Kong, Zelda, and Ryu were already heading off in their own direction, presumably where the reward was.

"Alright. Y'all go ahead and eat." Wolf waved them off. "More rice for us."

"Just don't eat it all." Ryu reminded. "We still have some days left on this island."

With the losers watching the three of them disappear into the woods, they were all left behind to do nothing but exchange glances with one another.

"They have no reason to get the rice." Plague Knight broke the silence. "They want us to be careful with the rations? Fine. The rice is going to be between the three of us only today and we're going to make sure they don't get any."

"That definitely sounds fair in my opinion." Wolf agreed. "Even in the long term, more rice is saved. So if anything, we're helping them out. Aside from the rice though, what do you two think? Did Ryu make good choices?"

"I think Zelda deserves to get a break." said Yoshi. "She just lost Shovel yesterday, and she's been rather low on energy lately. She deserves to hot a hot meal."

"Wanna get some water while Plague and I get the first started?"

"Umm, sure..." Alright, so the dinosaur was going to get water all by himself. He found that a bit eyebrow raising, because he was already having the feeling of what Wolf's intentions were. But knowing the other three castaways already had their canteens with them, he only had himself, Wolf, and Plague to worry about. Ryu, Zelda, and DK would have gotten their own water if they wanted to whenever they came back.

Also, for him it was probably for the best. Maybe it was an opportunity for him to be alone for a minute.

Once he was gone, the two villains knew they had the chance to do all the trash liking as they wanted.

"Okay. Now that he's gone," Wolf was already striking the flint. "-tell me how you really feel."

"Honestly, Ryu going over there was something everybody would have expected. However, him taking Zelda? On one hand, he is fueling her up which will increase her chances of winning immunity tomorrow. But then on the other, there are four of us, there are no more idols, and we have the majority. She's going home today. Not tomorrow, not the day after tomorrow, today."

"I know that's right." O'Donnell nodded in agreement. "And you know, maybe it makes sense. If he took either me or you, Zelda and Yoshi would have been looking at DK funny for only caring about his alliance and nobody else. You could argue that Yoshi should have gone, but... it is what it is. Even Yoshi is stronger than Zelda in challenges. And knowing that Yoshi is not going home today, Ryu pretty much had no other choice but to take Zelda."

"I think if anything, DK made the absolute best choices today. I'm just of course annoyed because I'm not being fed today. There's only so much rice you can eat out here, it literally comes to a point where eating anything else is not normal for the stomach. But then you want anything else that taste better, anyway. And on top of me losing weight, I'm scared that sooner or later I'm gonna have a hard time keeping my pants up." There was no reason to blame Wolf in this one. He did wish to look nice someone that came from the streets. "But really, the one thing I'm hoping for is that he did not take that woman on the world to try to work things out strategically. In the low chance the two of them find common ground in the last few rounds of the game, I'm probably gonna get blindsided at tribal leaving Plague out here all on his own. Just because I didn't want to go home in the last round doesn't mean I want to go home ever. I made it past seven, now I'm just trying to get to the end like everyone else."

With those two out of the way, it was time to see how emotional Yoshi was really feeling. Not to make fun of his emotions in the slightest, because it was plain rude to kick someone while they were down. However, Yoshi not being in the best of moods was the one thing to expect.

So what was bothering him the most? Him being hungry? Not being able to save Shovel? Not winning immunity to make Zelda's life a little easier in spite of her being picked to share the reward with Donkey Kong?

One thing was for sure, he was nearly dragging the three canteens with his head hung down the whole way. He deeply sighed as he thought everything over and how things were turning out for him in his Survivor life up to this point.

"I'm trying to hang it in there, but Shovel going home because I didn't play my idol right really messed me up. I appreciate Donkey Kong taking Zelda on the reward. I'm not even mad at him for not choosing me, because she deserves to be a part of it. But if she does go home today, I'd be too stupid to say that part of it isn't my fault. If I would have just been a little more selfless, Shovel would still be here, Wolf would have gone home, and the three of us would have had a fighting chance. I know it would have been a possibility for us all to draw rocks, but it's better than being completely outnumbered here with a high chance of going home. And if none of those four go anywhere today, it's going to be me, myself, and I in the hero alliance. Wolf didn't even wait for five minutes before he made go out and get water just to get me out the way so he and Plague can just..."

He was beginning to talk rather fast at that last part before he trailed off, him slowly bringing his hands to his face out of the feeling of being overwhelmed. Feeling everything at one time was a such a massive weight for anybody to carry on their chest.

After taking a good moment to get himself together, he exhaled and glanced off in a random direction. "All I have to say is that I just want Zelda to be safe tonight. That's all I gotta say."

And with that, it was an appropriate time to cut to the reward winners.

They all sat at circular table with a white cloth enjoying their stew.

Zelda sighed in comfort, knowing that soups and stews were good for warming the soul. They really were.

"Not bad if I do say so myself." Ryu commented. "This is our last reward of the season and it was really worth fighting. DK, I definitely owe you one."

"I really do appreciate it." The only woman left in the game commented. "You really did not have to do that. I would have dealt with the rice and coconut for the rest of the game."

"Well the master made me pick two people, and choosing the both of you was the right call to make." The king of the jungle replied, him holding a glass of wine in his left hand. ...Wait, DK was a drinker too? "We should go ahead and do a toast by the way, because I forgot all about it."

"Cheers!" They all said in unison with their glasses clicking against each other.

"When it comes to you being the one to win a reward where you have to choose other people, it can be rather difficult to you sending certain people back to camp with literally nothing. Make the wrong move, you end up pissing somebody off. The three that didn't go with me on the reward didn't seem angry or upset with me, so hopefully they have no hard feelings towards me. Of course I had to take Ryu. He's my number one and we are both good at winning physical challenges, which could be useful whenever we're on the chopping block again. Regarding Zelda, she's the intended target today. The only ally she has is Yoshi, but I wanted to capitalize off the conversation we had earlier today. I believe we bonded pretty well. If she is without a doubt the next to go, the safe move to make is to be sure that she and I end things off on a good note. I don't know if I'll be in the final three, let alone winning this season, but this should decrease her chances of being bitter."

Oh, so Donkey Kong was managing the jury too. And it really showed how deep the game really was at that point. The end was nearing, but the final three was still a ways to go.

"We have to think about the others, though." Ryu brought up. "I don't think they'll be willing to share the rice rations because of this. And you know, it does seems fair on their end. We get this nice reward, they get the rice rations. And I'd rather enjoy some stew than plain white rice."

"Even if you do like the rice, you have to enjoy it in small quantities." DK bobbed his head up and down in agreement. "So the whole situation for today will be good for everyone."

Well at least the whole tribe was on the same page. And if the roles were reversed regarding who was on the reward and who was not, it would have been the exact same thing.

"It's rather interesting that DK chose me to share the reward with him and Ryu. I wonder if it had anything to do with what we talked about earlier before the challenge. Maybe it can be described as a peace offering in a way, due to our alliances being against each other throughout the game. And I appreciate for it. Though strategically, it looks good on his end. Yet due to me having that strong feeling of what his intentions are, I've decided to take advantage of that for my own reasons. My back is against the wall and I am still on the bottom. Whatever it takes for me to avoid being written off."

"Do either of you feel like discussing anything?" She asked both men who were both enjoying the stew as if it was the last meal they were ever going to eat. "I understand if you are too busy focusing on the food and all, but considering that we are not going to stay together like this forever, now would be a good time to discuss our options."

Kong was chewing on some beef at the time, so Ryu spoke for him. "Sure. We're all ears. What do you think we should do? Take out Wolf or Plague?"

She chuckled a little, knowing that he took the words right out of her mouth. "Preferably Wolf, though you are spot on. There aren't any other choices, really. I don't even think I need to explain, because it's either him or me going home."

Donkey Kong was finally able to talk. "Well if there's one thing I can say, him and I are gonna end up going after each other anyway."

Uh oh...

"But timing is everything as we all know. And with these last few rounds of the game being so crucial, one big mistake could have you regretting that single decision for the rest of your life. My own cousin had to learn that when he did what he did. We all make mistakes out here. You do everything you can not to knowing what the stakes are, but you end up doing so anyway. That's the harsh truth about Survivor for you."

"I'm in complete agreement on that." Zelda knew he was right. "Everyday I'm out here, I'm always thinking of what I could have done to have at least one jury vote to my name in Emperors vs Knights. Though I have no bitter feelings towards Marth in any way. We are quite good friends outside of the game. Link lost the game by one jury vote, and he and Sonic ended up having a couple things in common. But getting back to the point, if the both of you do choose to blindside Wolf, Yoshi and I will be voting with you to make sure there are just enough votes on him to send him away."

"The only thing left for me to do at this point is to have DK and Ryu thinking about sending Wolf over me. I was actually planning on approach Wolf and Plague to see if they preferred to send DK to the jury. But of course, he wins immunity. Though Wolf is not a bad choice since we tried getting rid of him a couple times too. You could say that I would just pit him and DK against each other. But if they are 'supposedly' still aligned together, they will end up communicating with each other about word being thrown around about tossing one another under the bus, and I would be viewed as the source of that. It would put an even bigger target on my back, so the best thing for Yoshi and I to do is to campaign for Wolf to go home."

"If we do vote out Wolf, it would be a way of me doing something while I have the necklace. And he's going to a hundred percent target Ryu and I anyway. If the two of us do decide to do it, we'll let you know before tribal, and that's pretty much all I have to say about that."

Okay, so it was going to be either Wolf or Zelda. There were no other options left on the table unless somebody was going to do something else before they were all called to see the Master Hand.

With a helicopter view of the island as a whole, the next scene consisted of the reward winners in the distance making their way over to the rest of the tribe.

"And there they are..." Wolf mumbled as he lied in the sand. ...In the sun, though? Because if he was trying to get a tan, he damn well knew it was never going to work. He was too much of a furry to get one.

Yoshi sighed under his breath as he glanced away from the fire. "I bet the stew tasted so good."

Getting up from the bamboo, he left the shelter to meet the three of them halfway.

"How was it? What was in the stew?"

"Oh, beef, carrots, potatoes..." Donkey Kong hunched his shoulders, not wanting to make a big fuss about it. "We did drink a little, so pardon me if I'm moving a little funny."

As the dinosaur continued to chat with them all, Plague stood where he was, leaning over Wolf's body...

...so much that his head was blocking the sun! Move!

"Now what do we do?"

First things first, Plague needed to go back wherever he came from in order for Mr. O'Donnell to get whatever tan he was trying to receive from the sun. Seriously, did he hear some rumor about his fur changing colors from being under the sun or something?

"I'm gonna get myself together and talk with DK to make sure we're still on the same page. You're gonna do the same with Ryu so that we'll all know that we are still a solid four."

"Okay, boss..."

"Hey, you said it. Not me."

"I can betcha my entire career that Zelda threw me under the bus. It's her only way out if she knows she still has a chance, and I'm the only other option DK has if he had plans on voting out somebody else tonight. Yoshi has no reason to go home, Ryu's right there with DK, and Plague is not as big a target as I am." All this in mind told Wolf that he had to be careful. "I really wish I would have won that challenge to guarantee myself safety, but it didn't happen that way. Now I have to scramble and struggle for the rest of the day and hope Zelda leaves, 'cause if I see my name more than twice, I'm gonna automatically start packing my bags before the master even finishes. So the best thing I could do is to try to get a good feel of DK to make sure we're still on the same side."

A'ight, wolf (no pun intended). Talk.

"So,... what did she say?"

And the audience pretty much knew it was the conversation to the two Kodai Island castaways were expecting. There were two logs placed in the sand with the two of them being seated fairly close to each other as if they were having their own podcast show online... only in this case, the location was a tropical island in the Caribbean which would have been a really nice setting.

But anyway...

"She admitted that she was going to put your name out there because she has nothing else to lose. She even said that she didn't even need to explain her reasoning behind it."

"Because that's where her game is at this point." Wolf concluded. "You know for someone like her that has never been voted off, it really is unfortunate that she's about to experience what if feels like the first time. But ya gotta do what ya gotta do. Neither one of us have made it this far, and we're both deserving of a top five spot. She's gone all the way to the end before, so this is our turn now."

The other furry aggressively nodded. "I understand everything that you're saying. Other than Ridley, I placed the lowest out of everybody and I have gone a lot further than I did last time. And I don't plan on getting voted out right now. As long as anybody else goes home except for Yoshi, that looks good for her."

"That's what you do when you're on the bottom. We should not expect Yoshi to do anything for the rest of the game other than all the moping around... Shut up, Wolf."

The lupine was certainly not going to get along with all the Yoshi fans anymore.

DK chuckled shaking his head. "That's something he'd rather not hear if he was around nearby."

"Don't get me wrong. He's a good guy and being a good friend to others is a trait some people actually don't have in the real world, but I failed to save Bowser. And I literally had to betray Springtrap right after. If I was here doing the same thing, nobody would ever take me seriously. And you had to lose Golden after you won immunity. You lost Mario, Sonic, Meta." He counted on his fingers one by one. "Bowser was even more of your ally this season. I don't see you around here wandering around camp like it's the end of the world. So Yoshi's not the only one out here that has lost people."

Now that was an interesting take.

"It all boils down to him not having the sharpest mind for the game, which is a topic in itself. But getting back to the point,... you and I are good. Right?"

"You're not going anywhere. You're fine." With his foot crossing over his leg, Donkey Kong drunk some water from his canteen in confidence. "We're gonna be sitting here tomorrow. ...Now that I think about it, this is a rather nice spot for the two of us to just sit and talk. Wouldn't you think?"

"And talk _ about people like I just did?" Wolf grinned wildly from ear to ear before bursting out laughing. "I'm all over it!"

"I'm trying to enjoy every moment I have with Wolf these days. We've known each other for years and we managed to make it this far in the game together despite us not having too much in common. I suppose not having Bowser around was what brought us together, since he played a big role for both of us out here. However,... Wolf does know that we have to turn on each other. At least I know that it's gonna happen. I just can't figure out if now is the right time or tomorrow." Okay, so it was going to be a bit of a battle between the last two remaining castaways from the first season. "If I Wolf out now, I have a better chance at beating Zelda at immunity. But she would still have Yoshi who he would forever vote with, and Plague Knight could pretty much join them putting Ryu and I on the bottom. And I gotta say that things might not be much better if I just vote out Zelda."

"Wolf would be a hundred percent gunning for me tomorrow and he could probably finally win an immunity challenge at the most inconvenient time and I would definitely be going home. There is no right answer here." The six competitors were already gathering their torches. "Neither Wolf nor Zelda would be taking me to the end, and I think the only way I'd be at the final three is if I win my way there. But who is more risky to keep around? Who would I rather lose to?"

Tribal Council

Night 36

Tribal Council discussions for the most part were not really known for lasting as long in the later rounds of the game, obviously due to the group of castaways getting smaller and smaller.

So hopefully with this one, the current jurors can head back to Ponderosa as soon as possible. They needed to eat their dinner too.

"We'll now bring in the members of our jury... Shadow, Ridley, Vector, Golden, Bowser, Springtrap, and Shovel Knight voted out at the last Tribal Council."

Upon Shovel eyeing Yoshi's way, he was immediately met with a face full of guilt as well as Zelda simply appearing sympathetic that he was not in the game anymore. But in turn, it only made Shovel feeling guilty for Yoshi because he knew he was feeling guilty, and Shovel did not want him to take blame for it all.

Even Master Hand pointed it out. "Yoshi... I don't think you took your eyes off of Shovel since the moment he came in the Tribal Council area."

He sighed heavily and shook his head. "That was my one chance I had with the idol, master. I was so scared that the majority alliance of four was gonna target me, that I decided to play it on myself. Shovel Knight and Zelda both told me that I had every right to play it for myself, but... I just can't help but think of all the 'what-ifs', you know? Imagine what could have been if I actually played the idol correctly. The three of us heroes would have been victorious and one of us would have had a greater chance at winning this game."

"In your case?" Shadow mumbled under his breath. "You'll win the game when the sky's falling."

Now, now. Play nice.

"Zelda, you, Yoshi, and Shovel were all close. Now with Shovel gone, it spells out immediate danger for the two of you that are left behind."

"The two of us are on the bottom of the totem pole and there is a high chance that I will be voted out for the first time in my Survivor run." She knew she had to hope to be convincing enough to make the rest of the tribe blindside a certain pilot. "Of all the days I've been a part of this game, I could not feel any more in danger than I do now. Other people deciding your fate does not result in the best feeling in the world. And now with all three idols being played, the next best option was for me to win the necklace today."

"To force the four consisting of Donkey Kong, Plague Knight, Ryu, and Wolf to turn on each other."

She nodded in reply. "Correct. If I did have on the necklace, I would have had nothing to worry about. But given that I do not have the best track record when it comes to individual challenge wins, I never expect to win immunity. And since I am not immune, my only other option would be to let people hear things from my perspective of where I see the game at this point."

"Where do you see the game at this point?"

"Well if I am seen as a threat, I appreciate the compliment even though they are basically telling me that I need to go home. Though I believe that I am not the only threat here."

"Just go ahead and say my name already. It's alright." Wolf was already raising his hand. "I mean, you tried to get me out before, so it's no secret."

"Well, it's either me or you. One of us has to go."

"I'm sure you would be approaching me to get rid of DK if he didn't win the necklace today. But because he won, you put my name out there in front of Ryu while the three of you were on that reward."

He was putting her on the spot!

"I can second that." Now Plague Knight was backing him up! "He's not wrong. I am certain that if the necklace was worn by anyone else, including Zelda herself, she would be trying to get us all to vote out Donkey Kong. Wolf is the backup option for her and Yoshi and they both know it. No offense, Zelda, but we already see right through your plan. You wanted to pit DK and Wolf against each other to save your own skin. You might as well own up to it, because usually at this stage of the game, everything is out in the open. So people usually do not really care anymore because everyone is just trying to get to the end in any way they can. So there is no need to lie and say that you aren't doing what you know you're doing."

All eyes were on the brunette.

"I... can't really say that sitting here and not doing anything at all to save myself is an option. Whatever it takes to not being voted, I suppose. That is all that I have to say."

With Plague gradually turning his head to Master Hand while showing a hand her way, he knew he made his point. "Need I say more?"

"And with that, it is on."

"No more idols, no more things to play, all we have left is our mouths trying to tell other people how to vote their way. It's either that, or get struck down."

"And we are not trying to make Zelda look back in front of the jury or anything." Wolf added on. "If I was in her shoes, I would be doing the same thing. Zelda can do all the scrambling she wants and try to convince people like a Donkey Kong or a Ryu to side with her and vote me out, but she doesn't have any power. Survivor is a numbers game and it is all about what the majority wants to do. And in this case, DK has the necklace, so he is going to be one of the key players in charge of making the decision."

"And when you say 'one of', I can assume that Ryu is another player that in a position to decide who should go home."

"...They are the swing votes." He nodded his head. "That's a way to make it a long story short. Plague and I are in an alliance with both of them, but DK and Ryu are right in the middle. They are the two votes that people need. They can either save me and Plague, or save Yoshi and Zelda. I've explained to DK my pitch which was everything that Plague and I just said, and Zelda has explained hers."

"Hmph..." Springtrap smirked from the jury. "He'll tell it like it is. Just like me."

"Donkey Kong." Master Hand called on the ape himself. "I know in your mind that you are very thankful to be wearing that necklace."

He grinned from ear to ear nodding his head. "It's always a good feeling being the king of the jungle. I don't know what would have happened if I was vulnerable, but as long as I have this around my neck, the Survivor Gods will always protect me."

"You feel like you'd be a target at the next Tribal Council?"

"Why would I not? I might have to keep on winning immunity until I make it to the end. Ken tried to do it, but he ended up being one round short. And I am afraid my fate in the game might be similar to his. But if I am not guaranteed safety tomorrow, then all I have left is the people I could trust. I don't know if the people I am counting on will be voting with me for the rest of the game. The same way of how my vote may matter in this round, everybody's vote matters because we are such a small group of six. Then again, Wolf does have a point. Ryu and I are in the middle, and the two of our votes in particular are slightly more significant."

"Ryu, you agree with him on that?"

"I do. And for this season, there was the Strong Guys Alliance, the Heroes, the Villains. Everybody on that jury was a part of one of those three. And as for the rest of us that are still in the running, all the remaining players left in this game have been a swing vote at a tribal at least once."

Really good point.

"And with the power position constantly changing to somebody else, it really shows that people are really playing to get a spot in the final. Myself included. So with it being this late in the game, you have to really campaign to get the person you want out that would be the most likely person to harm your game. Zelda might harm Wolf's game. Wolf might harm Zelda's. She might see that DK might harm her game, too. So you want to be in that powerful position for you to make a move so that things can work out the way you want them to. Zelda knows she's not in that position at the moment. So as Wolf said, she's doing what she has to do to keep herself safe. But what I do have to say is that I would be side-eyeing her if she wasn't do anything she could to avoid being written off. If this is her last night on this season, I call her a warrior in my eyes."

"Thank you."

"I said 'if' for a reason." The martial artist wished to make himself clear. "That's me hoping that I'm not about to be blindsided that the people I'm banking on voting with me."

"I suppose we'll see how it goes..."

...

"Alright. It is time to vote. Plague Knight, you're up."

Good luck, Zelda...

The camera even showed him writing his name down when he was the voting booth.

As for Zelda herself, she wrote Wolf's name in cursive... Wait a minute, she always wrote her targets in cursive. That was never pointed out before.

"Me or you tonight. Wish you the best of luck."

And the lupine never took his eyes off of her.

The king of the jungle did indeed have a tough decision in front of him. He was pondering about the matter all day long, and the discussion at tribal only intensified his thoughts. What was the better move for him?

Once Ryu was out of the way, Yoshi hurried over to the voting area to write down Wolf.

"This is my last chance. If Zelda goes home, I am going to be left all alone all by myself."

He was scared to death by just the thought of it.

O'Donnell finally had his turn to vote, really making an effort to put the 'Z' in Zelda.

"Just go home. That's all you gotta do. Not that hard."

...

"I'll go tally the votes."

Yoshi found himself covering his face with his hands. The poor dinosaur's mind was racing a mile a minute. From his point of view, if the princess was set to get the boot, it was only going to make him feel all the more terrible.

Wolf did not show much emotion on the outside, yet inside he was... concerned. That was by far the most professional way to put it. Though to be more blunt, he was deeply worried whether or not he wanted to make it obvious.

"Once the votes are read, the decision is final. Person voted out will be asked to leave the Tribal Council area immediately. I'll read the votes."

Zelda was already breathing out of her mouth. All her faith was put in Ryu and DK.

"First vote... Zelda."

Shovel shook his head, not even wishing to see her name come up once.

"Wolf."

He rolled his eyes.

"Zelda. Two votes Zelda."

There were the votes from Wolf and Plague...

"Wolf. Two votes Wolf, two votes Zelda."

And there were the votes from Yoshi and Zelda. All up to whatever was left of SGA now...

...

"Zelda."

Sigh.

"No, no, no..." Yoshi mumbled, covering his face with his hands yet again.

"Three votes Zelda, two votes Wolf, one vote left."

"Sorry, Shovel..." Vector muttered Shovel's way, knowing how saddened he was looking underneath his helmet.

"Whew..." O'Donnell breathed out. He was spared yet again. No need to grab any of his belongings.

Even Donkey Kong who almost certainly voted for Zelda did not carry the best look on his face.

"Fifteenth person voted out of Survivor and the eighth member of our jury, Zelda. You need to bring me your torch."

Music: Title Theme - The Legend of Zelda (Super Smash Bros. Ultimate)

"First time ever... Oh!" She was getting up from her spot to find herself immediately being hugged by Yoshi. "Hey, it is okay. You will be fine."

"I'm gonna be all alone..."

"Just hang in there." She made her way behind the seats to grab her torch, turning back around to see Donkey Kong now embracing her.

"I had to do it."

"I know, I know. Thanks for the reward today. It was really a treat."

And she made it to master to put her torch down.

"Well Zelda, for the first time in seventy-five days of playing Survivor, the tribe has spoken."

Snuff.

Before she left, she wanted to give her now former tribe members some words of encouragement. "It has been a pleasure taking part of this competition with each and every one of you. The end is near. Make every last minute of the game worth it."

"Bye, Zelda."

"Miss you, Zel."

"Thanks, Zelda."

And there went the last woman of the season, following the footsteps of Val and Bayonetta having to compete with twelve men at merge... Good thing there was going to be a new rule put in place that at least six women had to compete in a Survivor season from season six and beyond.

Though Yoshi was clearly upset and disappointed, Donkey Kong was actually the one to comfort him and apologize.

"I'm sorry, Yoshi. I really wish I didn't have to do that..."

"Well, she said it herself." Master Hand spoke again. "The end is near, and it is important to make every last minute of this worth it. Day thirty-nine is just around the corner, and you all have to be ready for what is to come. Finish strong. Grab your torches, head back to camp. Goodnight."

"I suppose this is a first. It really does make me feel some sort of way being eliminated. Never had that happen to me before. But now I finally have the understanding of what it feels like. Not many people actually make it to the last day of the competition. And considering that I have actually made it to that point before, I feel honored that I have achieved something not many people accomplished. I wish best of luck to the others."

Character Confessional Count:

42: Donkey Kong (+5)

34: Zelda (+4)

33: Wolf (+3)

32: Plague Knight (+1)

31: Ryu (+1)

26: Shovel Knight

25: Yoshi (+2)

22: Ridley, Golden

19: Vector

12: Shadow, Specter Knight, Sonic

11: Foxy, Meta Knight

6: Sheik

5: Mario

3: Isabelle

(Last confessional count from the previous episode was a bit off because DK and Zelda's overall numbers were slightly incorrect. Zelda should have had 30 and DK should have had 37 before this episode, which means that I can not count. But it will be edited later on...)

Though her final words were rather basic, it sounded fitting enough. Really interesting that all three non-winning finalists (with the other two being Plague and Yoshi) made up half the top six. But Zelda makes history as the first non-winning finalist to be voted out. Donkey Kong and Yoshi are now the two last remaining heroes, and they, Ryu, Wolf, and Plague have all officially made it to the finale episode which is going to happen very soon after Zelda's Ponderosa.

All this time, the season is really about to be over!
