Chapter 2: Death Incarnation

Momonga gets teleported from the cherry blossom sanctuary to the throne room gate with the help of the ring of Ainz Ooal Gown.

The door to the throne room, which is made up of prismatic ore, is a wide structure consisting of two doors, both 20 meters tall, one having a depiction of a demon while the other has an angel.

The aesthetics were nothing short of divine, with towering pillars of gold carvings and a total of 41 flags representing each member of the Ainz Ooal Gown. At the end of the hall stood an impressive throne, crafted from a single stone, that could only be described as both majestic and godly. To the left of the throne stood the stunning 'Albedo', the guardian overseer of Nazarik. Her beauty was world-renowned and could even incite wars between nations. With a face that exceeded the mortal realm, a pair of black horns, and wings on her back, she was a complete package of beauty, brains, and evil, dressed in a stunning white gown fit for a goddess.

"It's a long time since I came into the throne room... Oh, hey Albedo, it's nice that you will give me company at last."

With that, Momonga sat majestically on the throne, thinking about all the memories of his friends and his past adventurers.

Glancing at Albedo, he saw something that was not supposed to be there.

"What? Ginnungagap, how can she have that."

After checking the logs, he found out that his old friend Tabula Smaragdina was the one who had done that deed.

"Damn Tabula... if someone else found that earlier, it would had caused chaos in the entire guild."

After taking that world item, he swiftly put it into his inventory, Still admiring the beauty of the throne room, an evil idea kicked into his brain, with a small chuckle he opened the NPC list, and after opening the lore of Albedo.

"She's a slut; damn Tabula, what were you thinking."

After getting administration permission from the staff of Ainz Ooal Gown, he changed something from the lore.

"She's in love with Momonga, Ahh. I am such a dork."

With that, he started to see the clock, with a bit of sadness, clutching the staff of Ainz Ooal Gown hardly.

Deep within the 'Great Forest of Jura', there is a cave where a dragon named 'Veldora the Storm Dragon' resides. Veldora is one of the four true dragons and was imprisoned 300 years ago by a hero using unlimited imprisonment. Suddenly, Veldora woke up and looked around after feeling a chill and sensing a powerful energy. If Veldora could express his emotions, he would have looked scared.

'What was that surge of magicules? It was at the level of the dragons. And wait, that feeling... What did Veldnava incarnate in this world now?'

In the same cave lay the unconscious Overlord, emitting godly powers. After some time, he started to regain consciousness and slowly woke from his slumber.

'Where am I? Is this Yggdrasil? Wait, what's that smell? How is this possible?'

["This is not Yggdrasil, Momonga...we were incarnated here by some unknown being to this world."]

Upon hearing a strange sound, Momonga looked around, hoping to find its source, until a green light surrounded his skull, calming him down. This skill was known as emotion suppression.

"Umu, and who do you be? Show yourself."

["Apologies, I am Great Sage, and I currently reside in the Staff Of Ainz Ooal Gown."]

Upon opening his inventory, a dark void appeared in the thin air. He reached inside and retrieved a golden staff, leaving Momonga in shock.

"Wait, how did I do that, If this is the real world, how can I do that thing?"

["It seems like all the workings of magic are etched directly into your soul, Momonga, allowing you to do things with just mere thinking."]

Momonga had his hand on his chin, lost in thought about the endless possibilities that had occurred in the past.

After declaring her new name, Momonga finds out that something from his body has depleted, and he could easily feel that some of his little power was been sucked out of his body.

"Pay it no mind, just Momonga will be fine, and what that thing that happened when I named you something from my body just gets vanished."

["It's a common phenomenon in this world when some powerful entity names some weaker one, it costs some of their magicules, Naming in this world can make monsters, or other beings either evolve or become more powerful."]

"And what is this magicules Kuro, Is it like Mana."

["It's like the building blocks of magical power here in this world, Unlike mana, which is generated by the soul, Magicules are present everywhere, whenever anything dies, it turns into magicules."]

"Umu, so that's why when I was in that darkness, some being was changing the working of my body and spells so that it could work with magicules, but it was not you, right? Her voice was different?"

["Affirmative and the voice belongs to the voice of the world, which only can be heard when some phenomenon occurs ."]

Keeping Kuro back inside his pocket dimension inventory, Momonga started exploring the cave to gather as much information about this world as possible and to test his capabilities.

Exploring a bit, Momomga finds himself in a place full of a certain kind of herb, after plucking one of the herbs.

["Hipokute grass, a certain type of grass which grows in rich magicules environment and is used in potion making."]

After getting the information about the herb, Momonga decided to harvest some of the grass and suddenly a voice came into his mind again.

["It will take a lot of time, Momonga; why not use 'predator' to finish harvesting them all at once."]

"It seems like, I also don't know much about my newly acquired powers."

And with that, a thick black fog started getting out of his hand, and within a few milliseconds, the full field of Hipokute grass was covered in that black fog, engulfing all their existence in a fraction of a second.

He can feel the Magicules increase in his body after absorbing all the Hipokute grass.

"Umu, so these grasses help in replenishing the magicules."

["Partially correct, it can replenish magicules in a way but it's used to make potions. By seeing your magicules pool after absorbing the full field of Hipokute grass, you just have an increase of 0.04% of the total amount."]

By keeping both hands on his head, Momonga regretted what he had done.

"Then why have you not told me that before I would have used them to make potions, We are broke in this new world."

After a few seconds, two viles of Red and green potion materialize on Momonga's hand.

After going further inside the cave, Momonga found light after a long time, As the distance closed, he found large concentrations of some kind of glowing crystals, but suddenly some type of creature screeched and swung his tail directly at him at a high speed, making him fall back and not get hit.

"Kuro, what's this monster?"

["Armorsaurus, a low-ranked monster found near the concentration of Magic Ore with a highly resistive body armor, based on Yggdrasil standards, he's typically a level 25 mob."]

"Umu, It's a nice dummy to test the powers which I have.'

[Magic arrow]

An arrow made up of pure magicules materializes on his hands, making it hit the body of the Armorsaurus, not doing more damage but making him flinch a little.

'So his armor can resist a first-tier magic arrow, interesting. Then try this!'

With that, a big, sharp shard of crystal materializes and is shot at a very high speed, piercing the body of the Armorsaurus, making him cry in pain as he takes his last breath.

And when he was following some light in the hope to get out of this cave a voice echoed in the whole place, making him cautious.

"Hey, can you hear me? The strong one."

With that Momonga wrapped the space around him, making him completely invisible to the naked eye. Following the source of the voice he saw something, which made his jaw dropped.

'What... A dragon?'

In Yggdrasil, dragons were considered the strongest enemy race feared by players. Not only did they have powerful physical attacks, physical defense, and endless stamina, but they were also able to use numerous special abilities and magic. The central World Enemy of Yggdrasil, the final boss, the Devourer of the Nine Worlds, was a great dragon.

After seeing the giant dragon the one thing came in Momonga's mind 'Retreat', and when he turned and started going slowly from the place.

"Hello! You can hear me, can you not? Respond to me! Stong one, and don't go back I am at peace."

Realizing that the dragon has seen him even in his 'perfect unknowable', with emotional suppression kicked in, he turned towards the dragon again, dispelling his spell, and when he was going to speak, he was interrupted by the sudden laughter of the dragon.

With his hand on his chin Momonga thought 'So there are more like him, and he seems friendly, Let's go with the flow, it's nice to be friends with a dragon rather than make enemies.'

"Thanks, I am Momonga, I ended up Incarnated here so I am new here, nice to meet you."

"You have aroused my curiosity, by the way, Momonga who named you?"

After realizing the mistake Momonga opened his inventory and quickly took out a 'False data Ring' and The Staff Of Ainz Ooal Gown, and slipped it to his bony index fingers. Still, he felt that it had not suppressed much of the magicules Seeing the Staff of Ainz Ooal Gown Veldora's eyes went wide but he controlled his emotions leaking out.

"So Veldora, How can I suppress more of my power."

"Try to suck it all inside you, it's easy. A peculiar staff you have their Momonga."

Momonga concentrated on the magicules making it all absorbed into his body.

'' Well done, now people can't find out about your real powers, but still people can see that you have powers comparable to an Elder Litch."

"Umu, Thanks a lot, and this is My Staff which my friends and I made in my other world, i named her Kuro. Can I ask you what are you doing here and what's the barrier you put here on yourself?"

" It's like I went on a rampage 300 years ago and just destroyed a city, and then I got sealed here using 'Unlimited Imprisonment' by the hero."

'Hmm, rampage...what? this dragon seems friendly but sitting here alone for 300 years is a lot to take in'

With that, Momonga felt like his soul leaving his body with almost 75% of his Magicules costed for naming the Storm Dragon and he Tripped a bit.

"Ahh-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha!, you just really named me, you sure a powerful one my only Friend, even the strongest demon lords could not dare to name any true dragons."

"Umu, let's get out from this damn cave then. How much time will it take to fully replenish my magicules which I have lost."

Suddenly, the gate to his throne room burst open, and a girl barged in, looking a bit anxious.

"What happened, Velzard? Why are you looking tense."

"Vel...Vel...Veldora is gone, Guy."

"What...?"

He stood up from the throne in an instant, spilling his wine over the floor. " How is that possible? "

"I don't know; I can't even sense his presence now, not even a little."

"What is happening in this world? That monstrous presence, then that veldora is gone. Rain and Misrey, we are having a Walpurgis in one month, Send an invitation to all the demon lords."
