Chapter 2: Comradery amongst Villains
UA Infirmary…
The USJ was closed.
Cops everywhere.
The students of Class 1-A huddled together outside with the officers comforting them and making sure they were okay.
Except Bakugo.
He was in the infirmary with Recovery Girl, wincing as his body was healed… and now feeling extremely exhausted.
"The fuck… why am I tired…" He questioned as his arms shook.
"It is my Quirk." Recovery Girl said as she handed the Hot-Head some gummies. "My quirk stimulates your body's natural healing, but it takes energy, so your stamina is drained. Take to much damage, and you'll die from stamina running out."
"Damn…" Bakugo grumbled as he stood up. "Your quirk is deadly, ya old hag."
Recovery Girl didn't like his words, but the tone was one of impressed and surprised, so… she tolerated it for now.
"Stay safe." She said as she waved him goodbye.
Bakugo left the infirmary.
'Still in my hero costume, I should change.' He thought as he turned, planning on going to the locker room.
Until he was stopped by Principal Nezu and Officer Tsukauchi.
"Ah, Bakugo." Nezu said as he called out to the Hero Course student. "Just the person we were looking for."
"I gotta go, get out of my way." Bakugo said as he walked past them, only for Tsukauchi to grab his shoulder.
"Sorry, but I have some questions to ask you… can you come with us to a nearby classroom?" He asked the Hot-Head.
Bakugo grumbled before nodding.
The trio entered the closest class room.
"What is it that you two want." Bakugo demanded as he crossed his arms.
"During the attack, you battled a specific a villain." Tsukauchi said as he pulled out his notebook. "All Might said the villain who attacked you was called… Joker… or…" Tsukauchi looked up, right into Bakugo's eyes. "Deku as you called him."
Bakugo tensed and avoided the officer's gaze.
"Do you have a connection to this villain, Bakugo." Nezu asked as he climbed up the desk. "Any information on this villain could help us prevent any further attacks."
Bakugo didn't respond.
Flashback…
"Joke's on you, Deku is dead, call me…" Joker stated as he pulled the trigger on his toy looking gun, Bakugo flinched… only to feel intense rage as a pin with a 'Bang' banner came out. "Joker…"
Izuku's cheeks had been punctured and had suture scarring. His skin was nearly bleached completely white with dark bags under his eyes. Covering his mouth was red markings resembling a clown smile.
He moved his arm, pulling the trigger again.
The banner pin shot out and embedded itself into Bakugo's leg.
Joker laughed his heart out as Bakugo clutched his leg, dropping his weapon as he did, nearly collapsing from how hard he cackled.
Flashback End…
"I don't know this Joker, but he is not Deku." Bakugo stated, still avoiding the adult's eyes. "Deku is a nickname, his real name is Izuku Midoriya. He went missing nearly a year ago."
"So, you claim this Joker is using the name of Midoriya to get a rise out of you." Tsukauchi mumbled as he wrote it down. "From what All Might told us, Joker seemed to know you very well…"
Bakugo hit the desk, his sweat exploding upon contact.
"Deku would NEVER become a villain!" Bakugo stated, his face holding back several emotions, his tone showing he was not sure, but needed to believe what he said. "That Quirkless nerd wanted to become a Hero so badly that he would throw himself in danger to…"
Tsukauchi and Nezu saw how Bakugo reacted.
"Alright, one last question," Tsukauchi said as he flipped to the next page of his notebook. "Let's say, if this Joker is Midoriya, do you have any idea where he could be hiding?"
"Hell if I know." Bakugo stated as he stormed out of the room, gnashing his teeth angrily. 'Dumbass adults… Deku IS NOT JOKER!'
Thinking of the villain made Bakugo's blood boil.
'Next time I see you, Joker…' Sparks popped to life in Bakugo's hand. 'You're dead.'
Abandoned Chemical Factory…
Joker was in the small lab he had set up.
He carefully mixed the chemicals, stirring them until they became a very specific shade of green.
'Good, now to see if this batch will give me the instant results I want.' Joker thought as he then poured the mixture into a prank flower that would spray the liquid out.
Looking up at the clock, Joker giggled.
'I guess I must exit stage left.' He thought as he exited his lab, turning off his lights.
The abandoned factory was quite dark, especially at evening.
Using his phone, Joker made his way to the room he converted into a living area.
Never mix your compounds or chemicals where you eat, or else you'll regret it.
'What to eat, what to eat, what to eat?' Joker thought in a sing-song line of thought as he looked at the small amount of food he had.
Canned food and dry food that lasted a while.
'I guess I'll have to make a food run later.' Joker thought as he chuckled. 'But I'll catch them eventually.'
Snickering at his own joke, Joker began to eat cold baked beans.
Around him were some of his belongings.
His Pagliacci Mask.
A few guns.
Some knives.
Unarmed bombs and explosives.
Toy based weaponry.
A pile of plans and notes on failed gas compounds.
And a pile of notes, titled 'Villain plans for the Future'.
These notebooks were replicas of his old Hero books, having memorized them LONG before, and replicated them.
Once they were made to help him become a better Hero… now… they were going to help him destroy heroes.
A purple portal appeared as Joker continued to eat, casually grabbing a firearm as Kurogiri appeared.
"Joker," Kurogiri greeted. "My Master has found two members for your team."
Joker quirked an eyebrow, pulling the spoon out of his mouth.
"I thought I said I wanted a LIST of potential teammates." Joker said with a bit of irritation, continuing to eat his cold baked beans.
"Yes, you did, but these two already worked for us, so we thought they could be of help." Kurogiri explained. "My Master always tries to help his underlings."
Joker smirked.
"My kind of boss." He said as he tossed his empty bean can over his shoulder, missing the trash bin as he holstered his gun, grabbing some toys from his wall before grabbing his purple jacket, putting it on while his smile widened. "Let's go, Giri."
Kurogiri didn't find the name pleasant, but complied as Joker walked through his portal, now back in the bar.
The bar was not empty.
Instead, there were two men.
One normal looking one.
And one whose Quirk was clearly a mutation type.
He was big, his head nearly scraping the ceiling.
He was thick, limbs as thick as small trees, his body stocky like a body builder.
His skin was tough, slightly grayed, and his face was not completely human as he had a rhino horn.
The only clothing on him was a pair of clearly modified jean shorts and an altered tank top.
"Evening, Joker." AfO greeted from the tv screen.
"Hey, Afo," Joker said as he waved, not really caring if he looked dumb. "You got my list."
"Yes, and I have two members who can be of help all ready for you to have, if you deem them worthy." AfO explained as Kurogiri got behind the bar, giving Joker the file.
"Hmmm…" He said as he literally flipped through the pages before putting the file in his jacket. "So, what can you two do?"
"I am Aleksi Sytsevich." Aleksi spoke, revealing a very THICK Russian accent as he turned to face the smaller being. "I am called Rhino by my comrades, as you can see…" he gestured to himself. "My Quirk is Rhino; I can do anything a Rhino can do."
Joker took Aleksi's arm, touching it, feeling how tough it was.
"Woah… I like this…" Joker said with his creepy grin. "You're hired, Aleksi."
Aleksi snickered as he nodded.
"Good to be out an about I say." He said as he returned to his drink.
"Oh, do tell?" Joker said as he leaned into his arm, interested in Aleksi's story.
"Later, my friend," Aleksi said as he motioned toward his plain friend. "Let us introduce our third member, meet Matt…"
"Matt Hagen." Matt said as he turned to Joker, his American accent being plain. "My Quirk…"
Matt was a handsome adult. He had tan skin, black hair, dark brown eyes as he wore jeans and a long sleeve button up.
Until Matt's face started to melt into an earthy brown substance before twisting and morphing into a female's face.
"Clay Body." She said, her voice perfectly feminine. "My villain name…"
This time Matt's whole body and his clothing became the earlier earthy brown color before turning completely into a mud/clay like substance.
"Clayface." Matt finished before returning to his male human form.
Joker clapped, eyes wide as plans formed in his head.
"You're hired." He said enthusiastically.
Abandoned Chemical Factory…
"Welcome to our homes, boys." Joker said as he, Aleksi, and Matt were taken back to Joker's domain.
"It's an empty factory." Aleksi said, smiling as he liked not having to worry about bumping his head.
"Hm…" Matt grunted, not really bothered.
"Well, since we are going to be partners in crime from now on~" Joker said as he kicked off his shoes and sat down, pointing at Aleksi. "Let's get to know each other."
"Sounds good to me." Aleksi said as he sat on the couch… which collapsed under his weight, the legs having broken.
Didn't bother Aleksi. It happened a lot.
"I was a Russian Boxer." Aleksi said as he smiled, remembering his youth. "I was too good, killed to many opponents. When I was kicked out of work, I started boxing in underground rings. I stayed there for years, until AfO found me, offered me work."
"Oh, that it?" Joker asked, slightly bummed.
Where was the drama?
The sadness?
Where were they?
"It wasn't as easy as I make it sound." Aleksi said as he remembered his childhood. "Going from normal looking child to rhino was not easy. I was ostracized by my village, except my granny. She raised me until she died from illness. I worked as a circus performer for a while, but Boxing was more profitable."
"Ah, that's sad, Aleksi." Joker said, a moping frown on his face before he turned to Matt. "How about you?"
"I was a Quirkless actor fifty years ago." Matt said as calmly as could be. "I was in many movies, everyone made famous… but then…"
Matt touched his face.
His face slowly altered, showing a heavily scarred and damaged human face.
"I got into an accident… I was going to be out of work… but then I was approached by a doctor… he offered me treatment…" Matt said as he perked up, his face being restored. "He said he had this cream called Renuyu. It was able to restore my face and my career… until…"
His hands gripped, shape shifting into his clay and becoming bigger fists.
"The doctor started blackmailing me… and when I refused… he dumped the Renuyu down my throat… and I became this…" Matt finished as his hands returned to normal.
"Shit…" Joker said, unable to make any jokes or puns.
"Yeah, I was turned into a monster…" Matt said as he sat down. "I killed the doctor if you wanted to know… was on the run… until AfO found me and offered me work."
"I guess all three of us are connected." Joker said as he looked up at the ceiling. "I was also created. But I was created by society."
He told Aleski and Matt the story of his birth.
"Oh, I see. So," Matt said with venom. "Our 'Symbol of Peace' is a hypocrite. Your realization of this as you jumped must have been maddening."
Joker chuckled as he stood up.
"No, I realized how this world is a Joke." Joker said as he walked passed his comrades, heading toward his lab. "I want to share this Joke with the world…"
He turned to Matt and Aleksi.
"Will you two help me share my joke?" He asked them, holding out his hands.
Meanwhile…
Bakugo entered his house.
"KATSUKI!" Mitsuki hollered at her son, stomping toward him before smacking him outside his head. "WHERE THE HELL HAVE YOU BEEN, SCHOOL ENDED HOURS AGO!"
Mitsuki was prepared for her son's vicious retort… only to not receive one as Bakugo walked upstairs in silence to his room.
"Katsuki?" Mitsuki asked in concern.
Within his room, Bakugo lay across his bed, face down.
A single sentence echoing in his ears.
"Joke's on you, Deku is dead, call me… Joker."
Growling, Bakugo flipped over, doing his best to ignore the lies of the damned villain.
Skip, Next Morning…
Mirio smiled brightly on his way to school with Nejire and Tamaki.
"Mirio…" the depressed sounding Tamaki said in confusion. "You've been acting weirdly since last semester."
"Really?" Mirio asked as he didn't understand his friend's statement.
"What do you mean, Tamaki? Mirio isn't different at all…" Nejire said in absolute adorable confusion as she looked at Mirio.
Tamaki scratched his head.
"I can't describe it well, but last semester you suddenly got… better." Tamaki bluntly, yet shyly. "Like… you got a boost. Your speed, your strength, your agility… it all got… OOMPH!"
Mirio chuckled nervously as he got stares from his friends.
"I guess all my out of school training just started to show itself." He laughed.
Mentally, Mirio was sweating.
He was now the Ninth Holder of One for All, a powerful quirk that was passed down through Generations to Smash Evil.
The Quirk of the Symbol of Peace.
Mirio could not be prouder and happier to live up to his mentor's expectations.
Sir Nighteye was strict, but the announcement of him becoming All Might's successor made him very happy.
A part of the deal with being the successor… was keeping it secret… even from his best friends.
But he would live up to the expectations that were given to him. While he was lost in his own thoughts his friends watched his determined look.
"He's all sparkly!"
"Too much if you ask me."
Meanwhile…
Joker laughed, which was slightly muffled due to his Pagliacci Mask, as he rapidly fired into the ceiling of the bank.
"Good job, Rhino." Joker cackled as he stared at the bank vault, which had been forcibly opened by Rhino. "Now, let's get as much as we can carry!"
Aleksi smirked as he and Joker started scooping money into duffle bags.
The bank was small.
Only… three workers.
Seven hostages.
"You think a hero is coming?" Rhino asked Joker as they zipped the duffle bags, the stronger man taking both with ease.
"If a Hero shows up…" Joker giggled as he imagined the results of his plan. "We can play."
Aleksi chuckled as they walked through the hostages… right as the police showed up.
"Oh, goody~" Joker chuckled as he saw the police through the glass doors. "You ready?"
"Ready!" Rhino said, preparing for his part.
Getting on all fours, he scrapped his left foot against the floor before he took off, full ramming speed force.
The building shook from the force of Rhino breaking through the door, and slamming head first into the first cop car.
Civilians screamed and ran as Rhino turned, damaging another car as Joker grabbed a hostage, walking out with his knife to her face.
"Ah, come now…" He said as he pressed the blade into her cheek. "You'd let me hurt her pretty face? Well, I can make a Weird Barbie quite easily…"
Joker cackled, nearly losing his grip as the remaining cops pointed their guns at him as Aleksi destroyed the cars.
"Oh, lucky for you, toots." Joker said as he forced the hostage forward. "They are good cops."
"HELP!" She screamed, making a small attempt to run, only for Joker to cut her cheek open.
"Now, now, my dear~" Joker whispered in her ear. "Keep this up and I'll carve your face like a turkey…"
"OR WOULD YOU TAKE A CHICKEN!"
A hero landed before Joker and the hostage, taking a pose.
"Never worry, citizen, Capt. Chicken is here!"
Capt. Chicken.
Is ridiculous as you think he is.
He wore a costume making him look like the chicken from Family Guy, with a standard cape and vest with a cowl on his head.
"Capt. Chicken…" The hostage stammered, reaching for him. "Help ME!"
Chuckling, the hero pointed at Joker.
"Release her, villain!" he demanded.
"Okay!" Joker said with a widest grin he could muster, kicking the hostage into Capt. Chicken.
Capt. Chicken was surprised as Rhino roared behind him, having finished the cars and taking several bullets with little to no bruising.
"Don't worry ma'am, these men will…"
Capt. Chicken was cut off when the woman's enlarged, clay fist cracked his beak.
"My Hero…" The 'Hostage' says before Matt took his 'Clayface' form.
"Light them up!" the police captain shouted.
Clayface took a defensive form around Joker, a clay dome forming around him as the bullets struck his body.
Joker howled from within his comrade's barrier.
"Guess those guns are for show, cause you can't hit me!" He laughed. "Clayface, make a hole!"
Clayface did as ordered, making a hole in the top.
Joker pulled out a grenade.
"First time I am trying this~" Joker admitted as he pulled the pin and tossed it.
He put his finger tips in his ears, cackling like he was being tickled with a feather when it exploded, killing or injuring an unknown amount of people.
"Joker, Clayface, let's go!" Rhino called out to his teammates as he was ready to leave.
"Alright, we're coming." Clayface said as he wrapped a clay tendril around Capt. Chicken before the three of them fled the scene before more cops and heroes appeared.
Hours Later…
Capt. Chicken, AKA, Ernie Sanders, was stripped of his costume as he was in a dark room.
Just as he was about the think where he was, the lights turned on, blinding the hero.
He was in a sealed off room, where the only thing in it was him and a door.
Suddenly, the sound of someone tapping a mic rippled from the corner, Ernie looking at it to see a camera and a speaker.
"Good afternoon, Capt. Chicken." Joker said on the other side of the speaker. "Can you hear me? Bawk twice if you can?"
Ernie said nothing as he glared at the camera and then at the door.
"Well, you're no fun." Joker said sadly, but then a chuckle sent a chill down the hero's spine. "But I have a cure for such people."
Ernie heard something go off, looking above him to see the sprinklers emitting a green gas.
He tried, tried to avoid the gas as he ran to the door, attempting to escape, several minutes passed, to no avail.
Then he cracked a grin.
The feeling of a chuckle echoing from his throat before he giggled, then laughed as the grin freakishly transformed into a horrendous smile as he laughed himself to death.
From the monitor room, Joker pouted, writing down some notes.
"Seven minutes, another dud batch." Joker sighed as he closed it before pulling out his cellphone, hitting a number in his speed dial, and hearing it ring.
"Hello, Joker." Kurogiri said from the other side of the phone.
"Hey, Giri, I need a favor." Joker said as his face became a vicious smile. "I want to give the Heroes something to look forward to in the morning…"
Skip, Morning…
All Might woke up, his old wound aching something fierce.
Getting out of bed, the shriveled-up Symbol of Peace took his medication to help soothe the pain.
Turning to his bedside table, he saw that he had several messages from Tsukauchi.
As he grabbed it, he got another one.
ALL MIGHT, LOOK AT THE NEWS! – T
All Might felt a rush of worry wash over him as he opened his news app and gasped, his shaded blue eyes widening at the horrific display.
Capt. Chicken had been hung off a building, the rope around his neck going all the way to the top of said building.
His face contorted into a horrifying grin, painted white with red on his lips, as his torso was hollowed out, his organs hanging out of him.
Beside his corpse, written in his own blood, was "Only the Strong can become Heroes, – All Might".
This message was written on an All Might poster with a smiley face painted on the bottom.
A tan woman appeared on camera,
"We are live downtown as you can see citizens were awakened to a horrifying sight. Capt. Chicken or Ernie Sanders as some knew him was found this morning. Many had wondered what happened to the hero after videos and rumors circulated of his capture at the hands of three unknown villains. One claiming to be the leader of the notorious street gang known as the Clowns. Many rumors had circulated what had happened to the hero but no one could have expected something so horrific."
"Of the attackers; one is rumored to have been sighted during the attack on the USJ recently and responsible for the injuries to multiple students. The school has refused to comment on the matter and so have the police but this reporter is more curious about the man that is called the Joker. We have confirmed this is the name of the young man thanks to insider information. The young man seems to have sent a very personal message this time, strictly to the Symbol of Peace All Might. The question is; what does this mean for us? Did he assume this is what All Might meant in the past? Did something happen to this boy to make him follow this twisted path? I do not know folks but this reporter will continue to follow the story as it progresses."
'Joker?' All Might thought as he saw the news going crazy over this. 'But… I never spoke to him about strength…'
Flashback….
"I'm sorry kid, but without power, no one can become a hero." He said to a kid who asked if a Quirkless could become a hero.
He turned away, not looking back as he heard the boy's attempt to say something, but it never got finished.
Flashback End…
All Might felt horror spread through his weakened form.
'No… it couldn't… but Tsukauchi said Bakugo didn't know… but…' he pondered as he put his phone down. 'Did… did I create Joker?'
Meanwhile, Kamino War Bar…
At the bar Shigaraki is watching the news and is clenching his fist.
"No fair! That asshole cheated. He got a head start, no fair!"
"I must say his message is quite clear and concise. He has made quite the splash with his actions." The shadow man looked at the blank TV screen, "Do I inform Joker that he is not allowed to do such things going forward?"
"No leave the boy be. I believe he shall serve as an excellent learning tool, Shigaraki, understand that Joker is teaching you an important lesson. Make sure you learn from his example and understand what you have to do going forward."
Shigaraki growled and turned to the torn body.
"Game on Player 2."
?
Another man was watching the video and he couldn't help but smile,
"So, a true crusader has appeared. I wish to meet him." He licked his lips and proceeded on with his hunt.
Joker, unknowingly, had caused a series of events that truly would bring true horror to the world.
Chapter 2, DONE!
The candidate for Harley Quinn has been selected.
I hope you guys like Aleksi/Rhino and Matt/Clayface.
Aleksi/Rhino is basically the same guy from Marvel's Spiderman and Miles Morales, just a human rhino mutant quirk user.
Matt Hagen is directly pulled from Batman: the Animated Series.
Now we get to see How strong Mirio is with One for All, let's see where this goes.
If you enjoyed, let me know with a review, even if you hated it because it helps me become a better author.
