So this is the rewrite of my Mario and Black Clover crossover. The main reason I did this was because I didn't like the direction my first attempt was going and its start. The more I thought about it, the more I thought it didn't make sense from a certain standpoint. So I decided to scrap my first attempt and I think this start is much better. For those of you who followed my story, I hope you enjoy it.
Chapter 1: A New Adventure Begins
At Bowser's Keep
Mario, his brother Luigi, and their friends Yoshi, Princess Peach, Princess Daisy, Donkey Kong, and Diddy Kong were at Bowser's Keep at the request of Rosalina. According to her, Bowser had obtained something that would be a great threat if left unchecked. Mario and his brother Luigi rushed forward to confront Bowser while their allies provided support. Bowser had hired aid from Wario and Waluigi to help defeat Mario and his friends. Peach and Daisy were keeping Bowser Jr. and the Koopalings at bay. Yoshi, DK, and Diddy were handling Wario and Waluigi. That left Mario and Luigi to deal with Bowser and whatever dangerous item he had obtained. The brothers busted through the doors leading to the throne room to confront Bowser. He was sitting on his throne with Kamek beside him, expecting Mario to arrive, but something was off. To his right was a chained-up individual.
"What's-a that Mario?"
"No idea bro."
Mario answered his brother as he examined the captured being. It appeared to have pitch-black clothes with demonic wings that were chained up as well as a demonic tail. It also had grey skin, horns, and red eyes with ethereal black hair. Mario didn't have much time to study the creature when Bowser started laughing.
"So you're finally here. And you brought Princess Peach as well. Bwa ha ha! I can't wait to make her mine once you two are gone! And even that other princess as well. Might as well add her to my collection."
Bowser gloated.
"As if! We stopping you again Bowser!"
"Yeah!"
Mario and Luigi shouted with determination. Bowser just chuckled before looking towards the chained-up demon.
"Do it."
"Yes, Lord Bowser."
The demon opened up a black book that began to glow ominously.
"Tempest of Blades."
Black portals opened up and swords flew out of them and towards the Mario Brothers. Mario and Luigi pulled out their hammers and began to deflect or dodge the swords flying towards them.
"What's-a this Bowser? Where'd you get your pet?"
Mario asked.
"Oh, this little guy? While Kamek was researching ways to power up my Dark Magic so I could finally crush you, he found this little guy floating through the nether. He's a devil, or so he says, and he had no body when we found him. In exchange for using Kamek's magic to give him one and some book called a grimoire, he swore his unquestioning and eternal loyalty to me. King Bowser!"
"Is-a that what the chains are for?"
Luigi asked as he continued to bat away swords.
"An insurance policy, devils can't be trusted after all. Case and point, this backstabber. As soon as we gave him what he wanted, he tried to kill us! But I showed him who's top Koopa around here."
Bowser explained while flexing his muscles.
"That would explain why he looks bruised and beaten."
Mario thought, noting the bruises and cuts the devil had. Soon the blades stopped and the portals vanished. Bowser growled at this before turning back to the devil.
"Hey! Use that other spell! The one with the weird worms."
The devil nodded and opened the book again. Then he said a phrase in an unknown language. More portals opened up but instead of blades, a strange purple substance came out. Mario and Luigi backed away, not knowing what this stuff was. That was when purple worm-like monsters came out and tried to eat the brothers. Mario and Luigi jumped over the worms and stomped on them, but the worms were unaffected.
"Okay, let's add a bit more power to it."
Mario said. He looked to Luigi who nodded. The two began to glow and they stomped on the worms again, but this time they were destroyed. Mario and Luigi began to focus Star Power into their attacks and proceeded to destroy the rest of the purple substance surrounding them. Bowser snarled at this while the devil just stared in awe.
"So it's not only this giant beast that can beat me. These mustachioed men have the power to defeat me as well. These Star Children are monsters! No devil could defeat them. At least, not in this world."
The devil said to himself as an evil grin began to form on his face.
"Hey! Use another spell already!"
Bowser demanded.
"Of course, 'Lord' Bowser."
The devil said another phrase in the unknown language and activated another spell. This time a large black portal opened up in the middle of the throne room. Soon it began to suck everything inside of it. Mario and Luigi grabbed onto some nearby pillars and held on for dear life. Bowser also had to fight against the suction along with Kamek.
"Hey! What is this!?"
"It's what you asked for, 'Lord' Bowser. A spell to get rid of those two."
The devil responded.
"Great! But can you tone it down a bit? I just want those two gone."
"No can do."
"What!?"
"You see, I made this spell to not only get rid of those two but you as well!"
"What!?"
"Yes! This spell is a portal to another world. My world!"
"Why you!? When I get out of this, I'm going to put you back in your place!"
"In this world, yes. But in my world, who knows? I may not be able to defeat the Star Children now, but perhaps back in my world where the rules are different. I have no idea what will happen to you all, but I hope you lose all your power! I may lose my body and grimoire when I return as well, but it's better than being your slave! And once I complete the plan set in motion back there I'll be sure to find you Bowser, and make you pay for the humiliation you gave me!"
"Don't count on it freak!"
Bowser dug his claws into the floor and began to pull himself towards the devil. The devil was amazed by Bowser's strength and persistence. Soon Bowser got close enough to grab him.
"Gotcha! Now shut this off!"
Bowser ordered, but the devil just laughed at him.
"Sorry, but not even I can stop this spell once it's been activated. The only thing you can do is enjoy the ride!"
"Why you little... I'm going to destroy you!"
Bowser shouted. He pulled back his claw to destroy the devil, but the devil's body began to vanish along with his grimoire.
"What!?"
"Sorry Bowser, but time is up. Farewell for now. I look forward to meeting you again in my world. When you can't rely on your overwhelming strength anymore."
The devil said as he flew off into the portal, laughing all the way. Bowser just growled and tried to resist the pull of the portal, but it was getting stronger! Mario and Luigi were also fighting against it when the throne room doors were thrown open. Mario looked and saw Wario and Waluigi get sucked in. Then DK, Yoshi, and Diddy followed. All of them tried desperately to fight against the portal's pull. Soon Peach and Daisy flew by.
"Mario!"
"Luigi!"
The princesses shouted.
"Peach!"
"Daisy!"
Mario and Luigi shouted back. Seeing that they had to rescue them, they let go and flew towards the princesses. They caught their hands and held on as they swirled around the portal.
"Mario, what's happening!?"
Peach asked.
"Bowser managed to catch a devil and forced it to use magic against us. But the devil double-crossed Bowser and activated this portal back to its world in an attempt to kill all of us."
Mario explained.
"Oh dear!"
"That dumb overgrown lizard! What the heck was he thinking!?"
Daisy yelled as she held onto Luigi.
"Now don't-a worry Daisy. As long as we're together we'll find a way through this like we always do."
Luigi said. Everyone nodded and held onto each other as they went into the portal. Back with Bowser, he was still fighting against the pull of the portal.
"Papa!"
Bowser Jr. yelled as he, the Koopalings, and Kamek were being pulled into the portal.
"Junior!"
Bowser yelled when he saw what was happening. He let go and flew towards Jr., grabbing him, the Koopalings, and Kamek. He held them close as they went into the portal. The portal kept growing, swallowing all of Bowser's Keep and any unfortunate soldiers around it. It kept getting bigger until a bright flash of light came down from the sky and struck the portal. Soon it vanished, but it was too late. Mario, his friends, Bowser, the keep, everything was gone.
"This is terrible."
The light said. It dissipated to reveal that it was Rosalina, Watcher of the Cosmos. When she saw what was happening from her observatory, she rushed down to stop the devil's plot. But alas, she was not fast enough.
"I need to fix this and bring them back home."
She said to herself before flying back to her observatory. Back with Mario and the others.
In an unknown location
Mario was unconscious from the portal travel. He began to wake up, regaining his bearings.
"Oh, mamamia. Is everyone okay?"
Mario asked as he looked around.
"I'm okay."
Luigi answered.
"Me too."
"Same here."
Peach and Daisy also answered.
"Does anyone see the others? I saw DK, Yoshi, and Diddy fly in as well. Also Wario and Waluigi."
"Hmm, nope. Sorry bro, but I think it's just us."
Luigi answered. He tried to get up but slipped and fell. He tumbled down a pile of stuff he was on top of. Luckily, he was only slightly above the ground and wasn't hurt.
"Are you okay Luigi?"
Mario asked.
"Yeah, I'm fine Mario. I just slipped on a pile of, treasure?"
Luigi said, looking at the pile of gold he was on top of. Mario and the princesses looked around and saw they were in some kind of treasure room.
"Whoa, where are we?"
"Not sure Daisy, but that devil did say he would take us to his world. Do you think this is the treasure room in his castle?"
Peach asked.
"Well, if it is, we need to find a way out fast. I don't want to deal with more of those devil freaks."
Mario said as he helped Mario up.
"Same here bro. Let's find a... Mario! Your mustache! It's gone!"
"What!?"
Mario felt his upper lip, and Luigi was right. His mustache was gone. He looked back to Luigi and realized something.
"Yours too Luigi! Your mustache is also gone!"
Luigi felt his upper lip and whined.
"Oh no!"
"Guys, I think it's more serious than that. Doesn't your body feel different?"
Peach said. Mario and Luigi felt up their bodies and realized Peach was right. They were teenagers!
"Mamamia! Was this that devil's plan? Age us down to a point where we were weaker?"
Mario asked.
"Ha! Jokes on him! We can still kick his butt!"
Daisy proudly declared.
"Let's not get ahead of ourselves Daisy. We still need to find a way out. Hmm? What's this?"
Peach grabbed a pink book that was lying next to her. It had a golden star on the cover surrounded by intricate symbols. She opened up and began to read it.
"Oh my. This book seems to have a list of our power-ups. Hey Daisy, what about yours?"
Peach asked, pointing to an orange book next to Daisy. Much like Peach's, it had a gold star surrounded by intricate symbols on the cover.
"Huh, weird. Hey, do you two have a book also?"
Daisy asked Mario and Luigi. Mario and Luigi picked up the books that had the same covers as Peach's and Daisy's and opened them up. They were shocked to see it had a list of all their past power-ups inside of it.
"Weird. I wonder why it has this list."
Luigi asked aloud. Mario pondered on this and then had a thought. He decided to try something out. Mario stood up and focused on the mushroom power-up. The book began to float and glow and Mario's size increased. This surprised Luigi, Peach, and Daisy. Mario wasn't done yet though. He decided to go through the list of power-ups and changed forms seamlessly.
"Whoa. How'd you do that Mario?"
Luigi asked.
"It's the book, or grimoire, as the devil called it. He had one and it had all his spells in it. I believe that our bodies have adapted to this world, and all our power-ups are now in this book. We just have to think about it, and we can use them."
"Amazing!"
The four began to read through their grimoires to figure out what power-ups they had with them. Luckily, most of them with a few exceptions. The magic caps weren't on the lists, so no turning into Mario, Luigi, or Wario. The metal, invisible, and winged cap are still there though. Also, unique power-ups such as the bee mushroom, the boo mushroom, the canon box, the coin box, and others similar to them were not on the lists either. The four heroes weren't worried about this as they would be fine with the other power-ups they had.
"I wonder if that's why we're teenagers as well. Don't you all feel weaker?"
Peach asked.
"Hmm, now that you mention it, yeah, I do. Perhaps we have to get stronger by this world's standards."
Luigi said.
"Then that's what we'll do."
Mario said, getting the others' attention.
"We'll grow our strength, beat that devil, find our friends, and get back home!"
"Yeah!"
Luigi, Peach, and Daisy cheered.
"Now then, let's-a find a way out."
"Wait! Do you think we'll need money for our adventures? This world might not accept mushroom kingdom currency."
Daisy said. Everyone pondered on this. Yes, Mushroom Kingdom coins were made out of gold, but they may still be valued as a lesser currency, like in the Bean Bean Kingdom.
"Good point Daisy. And how fortunate that we landed in a room full of treasure."
Peach pointed out. Everyone nodded and pulled out their item bags. It was a good thing they had prepared before facing Bowser. The four began to grab all the treasure and throw it into their bags. Mario walked up to a wall that had a fancy mirror on it.
"This should fetch a pretty penny."
Mario said as he proceeded to try and pull the mirror off. But it appeared to be stuck.
"Come on. Whoa!"
Mario pulled so hard, that he broke the mirror and the wall it was attached to.
"Are you okay Mario?"
Peach asked.
"Yeah. Just a stubborn mirror. Hmm? What's this?"
Mario walked to the hole and found a secret room. Inside was a single black sword stuck into the ground. Mario approached the sword that appeared to be old and rusted.
"I wonder it this is worth anything, or if it's useful."
Mario pondered as he picked it up. When he did, he felt something from the sword. It felt as if it was fighting something inside of him. Mario focused some Star Power into the hand holding the sword and something amazing happened. The sword appeared to absorb the power and change. It lost its black coloring and rust and was now pristine with a golden hilt that had a star in the center with mushroom emblems on the side handles.
"What the?"
Mario was taken aback by this. He let go of the sword and it returned to its normal state.
"That was weird. I'm taking this."
Mario put the sword into his item bag and went out to rejoin the others. He continued to grab more treasure when Daisy found something. It was a scroll that had a small wind flowing around it.
"I wonder what it is. I'm pretty sure we'll find a use for it. So, into the bag. Yeet!"
Daisy unceremoniously threw the scroll into her item bag and continued to grab more treasure. Soon the four had emptied the room of everything of value.
"Alright, time to go. By the way, did anyone feel that shaking from earlier?"
Mario asked.
"Yeah, I was wondering if it was just me."
"Nope. I felt it too Peach."
"Same here."
Daisy and Luigi answered.
"I wonder who it is?"
Peach asked.
"Maybe it's Yoshi, DK, and Diddy Kong fighting their way out of this place."
Daisy answered.
"Then we need to join them!"
Luigi said.
"Right, let's-a go!"
"But where to Mario? I don't see an exit to this room."
Peach said. They looked around when Mario noticed a large door.
"Over there! That looks like an exit."
The four made their way to the door, but it wouldn't budge.
"It appears to be locked."
Peach commented.
"Then we'll force it open. Ready bro?"
"Ready!"
Luigi answered Mario as they took out their hammers. They were about to break the door down, but something cut a hole from the other side.
"Huh?"
The four Mushroom Kingdom inhabitants were confused at seeing this. The piece of the door that was cut disappeared and the four were surprised by what they saw. On the other side were six individuals. Three of them wore black robes, one was a gray-haired young man who had suffered battle damage. Another was a smaller boy with blonde hair and was smiling. And the last of them was a girl with silver hair tied into pigtails. And the other three wore golden robes. One was a tall man with short, light blue hair and glasses. The other was a young man with black hair. And finally, a girl with long wavy vermillion hair. The two groups just stared at each other for a bit before Mario broke the ice.
"Hi."
He said while waving at them.
"Hi."
The battle-damaged teen said back.
"So, what are you doing here? Wait, are you, dungeon people!?"
The teen asked in excitement.
"What? I have no idea what that is kid."
Mario replied.
"Hey, who are you calling kid? You're not that much older than me."
Mario was about to correct him but remembered what had happened. Now, thanks to that devil, he and his friends were teenagers. It would be difficult to explain that, so he just went along with it.
"Sorry about that. It's just, that I don't know your name. So I have no other way to refer to you."
"Oh, well I'm Asta of the Black Bulls."
"Nice to meet you, Asta. I'm-a Mario. And this is my brother Luigi, Princess Peach, and Princess Daisy."
Mario introduced himself and his friends to Asta. Asta eagerly shook Mario's hand.
"Nice to meet you too, Mario."
"Now what about your friends? Shouldn't they introduce themselves?"
"Right. Hey guys, why don't you..."
Asta didn't finish as he noticed the looks of shock and fear on his allies' faces.
"Guys, what's wrong?"
"Are you serious? Can't you feel it Dorksta?"
The silver-haired girl asked.
"He has no magic. There's no way he can feel this."
The black-haired teen answered.
"Huh? What do you mean? Feel what?"
Asta asked in confusion.
"Their mana. It's the strongest I've ever felt. It even surpasses the captain's."
The blonde-haired teen answered.
"No way."
Asta turned back at Mario and his friends with a new look of shock on his face.
"Um, what are they talking about Asta?"
Mario asked.
"It's your mana. Just how strong are you?"
"First, what is mana? Second, we're pretty strong. Not to brag, but each one of us has saved a kingdom at least once in our lives. Heck, I've rescued multiple kingdoms in my lifetime."
Mario answered. Asta was amazed by this and was about to ask about Mario's adventures. But the oldest of the group spoke up first.
"Wait, you don't know what mana is?"
"Nope. Never heard of it."
"That can't be. Mana is an essential part of everyday life."
"Maybe for you, but this is the first I've heard of it. What about you all?"
Mario asked his friends.
"Nope"
Luigi answered while shaking his head.
"I did."
"Same here."
Daisy and Peach answered.
"Really?"
"Yes, Mario. In some worlds, where magic is a dominant force, mana is the power source for that magic."
Peach answered.
"But we use Magic all the time and I've never heard anyone refer to it as 'mana'."
"Yes, but our magic is different. It can be obtained through special training or through finding magical artifacts, like the Power Stars. Anyone can learn magic in our world. But in others, you're born with it, and how powerful it is is determined by how much mana you have."
"So you're saying that we're in one of those worlds?"
"Yep."
The Mushroom Kingdom inhabitants began to discuss this amongst themselves. Meanwhile, the other group focused on what they said, specifically what Peach explained.
"She said 'her world'. Does that mean, they're from another world!?"
They all thought.
"So awesome!"
Asta said aloud with stars in his eyes. Before they could continue the conversation, a book the oldest member was holding flew out of his hands and to the other side of the room.
"What!?"
His shocked cry got everyone's attention and Mario's eyes widened at what he saw.
"Look out!"
Mario yelled as he pushed Asta out of the way and met a giant diamond fist with his own. The robed individuals watched in horror, expecting Mario's arm to burst in an explosion of blood and bone. But instead, the diamond fist cracked before it shattered into pieces. They just watched in shock as Mario charged towards the perpetrator of the attack, a man inside a giant body made of diamond. He threw out his other fist at Mario, but Mario easily destroyed it with his fist.
"Let's-a go!"
Mario said as he jumped up and attacked the diamond man with a meteor smash attack. The diamond man reformed his arms and crossed them to block the attack. But Mario's fist shattered the arms and continued until it struck the man in the face. Mario sent the diamond man straight into the ground. A large crater formed where the man crashed into and Mario landed at the edge of it, fixing his cap. Asta and his allies just stood in shock at this display of strength.
"That's, that's, that's impossible! He defeated a mage that took all six of us to fight with no effort!"
The oldest member said in disbelief.
"And without magic."
The blonde teen added.
"What? Is that true Luck?"
The silver-haired girl asked.
"Yeah. I sensed no magic from his attacks. What he did, that was with brute force alone. This is a first, but I'm, actually terrified to fight that man. I don't want to fight him."
This shocked everyone there.
"Unbelievable! Someone that Luck, The Cheery Berserker, doesn't want to fight! This is absurd!"
The oldest member began to scratch his head in frustration and disbelief at the events unfurling before him. He stopped when Mario walked back to the group while dusting off his hands.
"Well, that takes care of that. Now, who was that guy? Was he with you?"
Mario asked.
"What? NO! He's a mage from the Diamond Kingdom. The enemy of the Clover Kingdom."
The oldest member explained. But Mario and his friends were confused by this.
"Huh? Clover Kingdom? Diamond Kingdom? What's next? You're going to tell me there's a Heart and Spade Kingdom."
Daisy joked.
"Actually, there is. There are four kingdoms, Clover, Heart, Diamond, and Spade."
The vermillion-haired girl answered. Daisy just stood there, stunned by this information.
"What!? Why are you're kingdoms named after the suits of playing cards!? That's so weird!"
"Well, Daisy, the proper name for the clover in a deck of cards is clubs. But it is shaped like a clover, so this is still weird."
Luigi explained.
"Okay, weird kingdom names aside, can we get out of here? I would like to know where we are exactly and start looking for our friends and a way home."
Peach explained.
"Wait, there are more of you?"
Asta asked.
"Yeah, when we were brought into this world, a lot of our other friends were as well. We need to find them and a way home as soon as possible."
Mario explained.
"Okay, do you mind explaining how you got here first?"
The oldest member asked. Mario was about to start explaining when black smoke started to surround them.
"This smoke, it's that guy!"
Asta said aloud. There were the sounds of a struggle, and then the smoke dissipated.
"Hey is everyone okay? Is anyone, hurt?"
Asta was asking when he saw the culprit and some other mages beaten and bruised at Daisy's feet.
"Creep! He tried to grab me!"
"Damn, if only I could grab one of them. But their strength is unreal. I need to find a way to bring them back."
The man was broken out of his thoughts when Daisy picked him up.
"So, why did you try to kidnap my friend?"
Peach asked.
"I wasn't trying to kidnap her, I was trying to save her."
"What?"
"Yeah, you can't trust the Clover Kingdom. They're full of backstabbing royales who'll do anything to keep their power. They'll only use you, try to find the secrets to your power. I wouldn't put it past them to strap you to a lab table and dissect you."
"What was that!?"
Asta said, angered by the man's words. He was about to give the man a piece of his mind when Peach stopped him.
"That was a lie."
Peach said, shocking the man.
"What? What makes you think I'm lying?"
The man asked.
"Your eyes, I can see your intentions in them."
"What do you mean?"
The man asked, nervously looking away.
"And the way you're acting, this nervousness, it's not something an honest person would be doing."
The man tried to think of a way out, but he was stuck. His strongest mage was defeated with a single blow and his other mages were beaten. He was trying to think of a way out when the man with glasses stepped forward.
"Don't bother with further questioning, you won't be able to get any truths from him. We should tie him and his men up, and take them back for interrogation."
"Wait! Okay, I admit it, I lied about trying to save you. But I have a good reason! The Diamond Kingdom is struggling with food right now. The treasures in this dungeon would provide much-needed food for our starving citizens. Please, I have three daughters at home. I can't be taken into custody!"
The man pleaded.
"Save your pleas, we will not be..."
"Okay."
Peach said, shocking the man with glasses.
"What!?"
"He was being honest, so I think we should help him."
"Why would we help our enemy?"
"He's not our enemy."
"He just tried to kidnap your friend!"
"Because he was desperate. I choose to help him, and I'm sure my friends agree."
Asta and his allies looked to see Mario, Luigi, and Daisy nodding in agreement. The man with glasses wanted to argue, but the vermillion-haired girl stopped him.
"Klaus sir, I believe we should just accept their decision."
"What!? Mimosa, why would you say that!?"
"Do you want to fight Mario?"
Klaus looked at Mario and remembered how easily he beat the mage who bested him and his squad mates. Klaus bit his tongue, not wanting to suffer Mario's wrath.
"So, you're going to the Diamond Kingdom then?"
"No, I don't trust his kingdom. I'm just going to help him with his treasure problem."
Klaus breathed a sigh of relief. The strength Mario and his allies demonstrated would be a great boon if they joined the Clover Kingdom. He had to make sure they came back with him.
"How noble. We have completed our objective, we should leave."
"Lead the way."
The group made their way outside. When they did, Mario untied the Diamond Kingdom mages.
"Okay, so, this rock should be good enough."
Peach said, walking up to a large boulder. Everyone was confused, but Peach's Grimoire began to glow, and Peach's hand turned gold. She then touched the boulder, and it turned into hundreds of large gold coins.
"What!?"
Everyone, except for Mario and his friends, said in shock.
"This should be enough. Gold is still valuable here, right?"
Peach asked the smoke mage.
"Yes, this should be more than enough. Thank you!"
The smoke mage bowed in gratitude. He then used his magic to make a smoke train, loaded it with the gold coins, and left.
"I can't believe we're just letting him get away."
Klaus said.
"Well, he didn't seem like a bad man, just someone who was forced to do bad things."
Peach explained.
"Very well then, shall we go?"
"Okay, bye."
Peach said. Klaus and his allies were shocked when Peach, Mario, Luigi, and Daisy started to walk away.
"What!? You're not coming with us?"
"Why should we?"
Peach answered Klaus.
"I, well, I just assumed."
"We never said we were going with you. We need to find our other friends and find a way back home."
Mario said.
"Then, the Wizard King! Yes, the Wizard King should be able to help you. He's bound to know of a way to send you back home."
Klaus said, hoping this would convince them to join them. Mario and his friends huddled to discuss this. After a few tense moments, they broke and approached the Clover Kingdom mages.
"Okay, we'll see this Wizard King. But, this doesn't mean we're joining your kingdom. We're just seeing if he has any way to help us. Understand?"
Peach asked.
"Of course, of course. Well, then let us be on our way. Steel Creation Magic: Steel Chariot."
Klaus created a steel chariot with his magic to carry everyone. But it was a little small.
"I'll carry you and your friends back to the capital. I trust the rest of you can fly on your brooms?"
His squadmates nodded, but Asta just raised his hand.
"Um, I have no magic, so I can't fly on a broom."
Asta explained.
"Seriously? How did you become a magic knight."
"Hey! Don't forget that I was the one who beat the diamond mage when he was wiping the floor with you all!"
"Why you little!"
"Ahem!"
Peach got everyone's attention.
"Let's not argue now. And as for that chariot. Mario, can you help?"
"Okie dokie."
Mario walked up to the chariot and pulled out his grimoire.
"So you had grimoires back in your world?"
Klaus asked.
"Nope, never used one before. But after watching you all, I think I know how to work this."
Mario answered. His grimoire glowed as Mario placed a hand on the chariot. The chariot then grew in size and was now large enough to carry everyone.
"There we go. Now there's enough room for everyone."
Asta cheered as he and the others got on while Klaus was gobsmacked by this. He composed himself and got into the chariot with them. It then rose and flew off towards the Clover Kingdom.
"So, mind explaining how you got here?"
"It's-a long story"
Mario answered Klaus.
"We have time."
"Okay then. Now where to start?"
Mario began to explain what had happened while they traveled to the Clover Kingdom.
