Chapter 6: Metalhead

In an abandoned building, the Turtles and Karai were battling a squadron of Kraang. They ran and leapt around the building, dodging the laser blasts. "Keep moving! Don't let them surround you! Failure is not an option!" Leo exclaimed. "Technically, failure is always an option." Donnie said. "Not when it comes to protecting the world, Donnie!" Karai exclaimed. "You know what else is an option? Slapping the both of you." Raph said, rudely. One of the Kraang Droids fired its blaster at them, making them jump out of the way. "Mikey! On your right!" Donnie called. Mikey looked right and dodged 2 Kraang Droids as they fired at him. Donnie whacked one of the Kraang Droids with his bō staff, but it wasn't even phased. "Are you kidding me?! I hate this thing!" He exclaimed. As the Kraang Droid turned around to shoot Donnie, Raph threw one of his sais at its head, shorting it out, before kicking it down and tearing off its head. "Nice work. When we're done here, there's a marching band that needs a majorette." He said before taking off. Donnie took off as the Kraang started firing at him again.

Leo ran to avoid the laser blasts, leapt off a support beam and slashed one of the Kraang Droids. Raph leapt off another support beam and stabbed a second Kraang Droid with his sais. Venus flipped over a third Kraang, knocked it off its feet and bashed its head off with her tonfas. "Kraang, the present is the being a positive time to be the testing of the energy cannon." One of the Kraang said. The Kraang opened a door and brought out a new weapon, an energy cannon. "Everyone, stand your ground!" Leo ordered. The Turtles and Karai readied themselves and their weapons for battle. The Kraang powered up the energy cannon. "On second thought…RUN!" Leo exclaimed. The Kraang fired the cannon, causing the Turtles and Karai to leap out of the way. They continued dodging each blast from the cannon. But one of the blasts took out Donnie's bō staff. "Oh, COME ON!" Donnie exclaimed. "That cannon took out Donnie's weapon!" Mikey called. Donnie took cover, dodging more blasts from the cannon and the Kraang. "How am I supposed to fight alien technology with a STUPID STICK?!" He exclaimed angrily. "Hey! I'm fighting with 2 sticks and I'm turning out okay!" Venus exclaimed as she leapt back into the fight. Donnie threw away his bō staff and followed her.

Leo, Raph, Mikey, Venus and Karai leapt at several Kraang Droids and took them down. But then, as Leo, Karai and Raph took down 3 more, the Kraang and their cannon backed them up against the wall. Mikey, Venus and Donnie were also driven over to them. They prepared themselves as the Kraang took aim.

"Kraang, destroy the ones who call themselves the Turtles and Karai when that which is the signal is the signal that is given by me." One of the Kraang said as Leo eyed his surroundings. He got out a ninja star and tossed it up, ricocheting it off a support beam, off a forklift and hitting its activation button. The forklift came on and drove into the Kraang and the energy cannon, shutting them down. The Turtles and Karai climbed out through the window. "Nice shot there, Tex." Karai said. "Dumb luck." Raph said. "Wasn't luck, my friend. And dumb had nothing to do with it." Leo assured. Just then, Donnie was trying to pull something through the window. "Hey, give me a hand with this." He said. "A hand with what?" Leo asked. "Yeah, what're you pulling on in there?" Karai asked. Donnie hesitated to answer.

Later, they carried a wrecked Kraang Droid back to their manhole. "We're carrying this thing because…why?" Raph asked. "Don't you wanna understand how these things work?" Donnie asked. "I know how they work. You hit them until the brainy toy surprise pops out." Raph said as Mikey pulled the manhole cover off. "That's your problem, Raph. You never think things through." Donnie said, dropping the Kraang Droid into the manhole. But it didn't fit through the top. "Is that supposed to fit?" Raph asked. Donnie kicked and stomped the Kraang Droid, trying to fit it down the manhole. "Oh, here. Let me." Venus said. She knelt down and fixed the Kraang Droid's body position before dropping it down the manhole. Donnie glared at his sister, not liking being outsmarted by her. "You're welcome." Venus said sheepishly. As they leapt down the manhole and landed back in the sewer, they picked up the Kraang Droid and continued on their way back to the lair. "Hey, what's that?" Donnie asked, noticing something. The Turtles and Karai all turned around to see an old robot of a strange model dumped in the sewer. "Looks like some kind of old robot." Mikey guessed. "And it's been here for quite some time from the look of it." Venus said. "And the smell." Leo said, waving off the smell. "I'm taking it too!" Donnie blurted. "WHAT?!" The Turtles and Karai exclaimed simultaneously.

Later, after arriving back at the lair, the Turtles and Karai sat down to rest. Wyatt and the O'Neil Triplets were visiting too. Mikey, Venus and Komet were sharing a pizza. Raph was spending time with Spike. April was on her laptop. Wyatt was training Karai in street fighting. And Donnie was fiddling with the Kraang Droid while Elena watched. "This technology is lightyears ahead of anything I've ever seen. Do you know what this is?" Donnie asked, holding up a piece of the Kraang Droid's tech. Elena examined the piece. "No, I don't." She said. "Neither do I! But I can't wait to find out!" Donnie exclaimed excitedly. "Wow. Donnie sure gets riled up when it comes to technology, doesn't he?" Wyatt asked. "Meh. You get used to it." Karai said.

Just then, Splinter and Shen walked in with a new bō staff for Donnie. "Look, Spike, Donnie got another stick to break." Raph said, teasingly. Splinter presented the bō staff to Donnie. "With all due respect, Senseis, I can't keep fighting alien technology with a 6-foot staff. I was hoping to upgrade my weapon." Donnie said. "Hmm. A 7-foot staff. Interesting." Splinter said. "No, I meant using modern technology." Donnie said. "Ah, I see. A solar-powered staff. Now that's creative." Shen said. "I'm serious, Senseis!" Donnie snapped. "We know. And yes, you may upgrade your weapon." Splinter said. "That's totally unfair! You can't just sa- Wait. Did you just say yes?" Donnie asked. "Yes, he did, Donatello." Shen said. "Ninjas have improved their arsenals for centuries. We are masters of adaptation." Splinter explained. "That is great! Cause with this technology, I will be invincible! What should I make? Electric sais? Multi-shot shuriken? Plasma swords?!" Donnie said, getting excited again. "Oh! I just gave myself goosebumps. You wanna feel? Eh?" He asked, holding out his arm to Elena. "No thanks, Don." Elena said, blushing. "But remember, technology is a means, not an end. It is you who must prevail in battle, not your weapon." Splinter explained. "Yoshi is right, Donatello. Combat is not a video game." Shen said. "That's it! I'll turn combat into a video game! Thanks, Senseis." Donnie said as he took the Kraang Droid and ran to his lab, closing the door.

A while later, April was still on her laptop with Komet and Elena helping. Leo and Raph were playing an arcade game, Monster Hockey. Karai, Venus and Wyatt were spectating. And Mikey was relaxing on the tire swing. "Hey, guys, check out this post we got." April called. "Hang on, April, I just have to destroy Lame-onardo." Raph said. "Yeah, dream on, Raph. Leo's got this in the bag." Karai said. Leo and Raph continued their game. The score was tied 5-5. Next goal wins. They just kept knocking the puck back and forth. But then, Raph hit the slapshot button and destroyed Leo's player, scoring the winning goal. Leo and Karai glared at Raph as he did a victory dance over to them before shoving them off to walk over to the O'Neil Triplets. Leo and Karai quickly recovered and followed Raph. "So, what's up?" Raph asked before Leo and Karai slapped him. "We set up a message board to collect unusual sightings around New York. People send in pics, videos." April explained. "We also get some stuff that might help us track the Kraang and find our dad." Komet said. "Like this video of a gas explosion." Elena said as April played the video. There was a Kraang Droid emerging from the smoke. "A Kraang Droid." Leo said. "But why would it want to cause a gas explosion?" Mikey asked as he woke up with a yawn. "I don't know. But we'll check it out tonight." Leo said. "Why not now?" Komet asked. "Because it's daytime and we can't be seen." Leo said. "And I don't exactly have clothes that allow me to blend in with the crowds up there." Karai said. "Well, we can." April said. As she, Komet and Elena got up and walked to the exit, Leo got in their way. "April, think about this. It could be dangerous." He advised. "You know what else could be dangerous? Standing between us and our father." April said, threateningly. Leo gave up and allowed April to leave. "Sorry, Leo." Komet said as he followed April. "She's stubborn that way." Elena said as she followed Komet.

Later that evening, a lone Kraang Droid walked along the street. April, Komet and Elena hid behind a dumpster and spied on the Kraang Droid as it walked up to a Kraang keypad, typed in a code and unlocked a door to a hidden facility. "Okay, Kraang creep, lead the way." April whispered as she, Komet and Elena followed.

Meanwhile, back in the lair, Leo and Karai were watching Space Heroes while Raph was playing with Spike.

Captain Ryan, Crankshaw and their alien scientist, Dr. Mindstrong, were investigating a strange planet. "What do you make of this, Dr. Mindstrong?" Captain Ryan asked. Dr. Mindstrong used a scanner to detect the planet's readings. "This is very disturbing, Captain. Sensors indicate-" He tried to explain. Suddenly, a strange leech alien swooped in out of nowhere and attached itself to Dr. Mindstrong's head. "Everything's fine." Dr. Mindstrong said, zombie-like. "Great galaxies!" Captain Ryan exclaimed. "Captain, what's happening?" Crankshaw asked. "Dr. Mindstrong's been taken over by the Cortexicons!" Captain Ryan deduced. "What do we do?! WHAT DO WE DO?!" Crankshaw asked in a panic, making Captain Ryan smack him again. "There's only one thing we can do. Dr. Mindstrong must be destroyed!" Captain Ryan declared.

Leo and Karai watched with widened eyes as Captain Ryan and Crankshaw attacked Dr. Mindstrong. "What a hero." Leo said in awe. "Willing to sacrifice his friend to save him." Karai said. Suddenly, there was a stomping noise, shaking the entire lair and startling the Turtles, Karai and Wyatt. Just then, a small metal turtle robot stomped out from Donnie's lab. "Take me to your leader." Donnie's voice spoke through a megaphone. "Leo, Karai, it's for you." Mikey said. "What is this thing?" Leo asked as the Turtles, Karai and Wyatt gathered. "Lady and gentlemen…and Raphael." Donnie said, irritating Raph. "This is the future of Ninjitsu." He introduced. "Kinda short, isn't he?" Venus asked. "Yeah. I always thought the future of Ninjitsu would be taller." Raph said. "I don't know, guys. I think he's kinda cute." Mikey said, tickling the robot's chin. Suddenly, the robot activated its weaponry, scaring Mikey. "Hehe. He doesn't like being tickled." Donnie said, patting the robot's head.

Meanwhile, back at the Kraang facility, the O'Neil Triplets were hiding behind the crates inside while 2 Kraang Droids met up. "Is that which is the unstable Mutagen ready for using in the experiment that Kraang is being ready to begin?" The first Kraang Droid asked. "The unstable Mutagen will be tomorrow unleashing in the water supply." The second Kraang Droid said. The O'Neil Triplets silently gasped. "The water supply? Oh no." April whispered. "They're gonna dump Mutagen into the water supply?" Komet whispered. "Many infected humans will mutation. This is being a good way to perfect the Mutagen to the point of perfection." The second Kraang Droid said before walking away. "I wish those things knew how to talk properly." Elena whispered. As the triplets continued watching, April accidently moved the crate, causing a fire extinguisher to fall off and hit the ground. The Kraang Droid heard the clattering as the O'Neil Triplets moved to another crate. It turned around and walked towards the fire extinguisher, making the O'Neil Triplets worried.

The Kraang Droid picked up the extinguisher and examined it. "What do we do now?" Elena whispered. "Okay. Ninja. We need to think ninja." April whispered as she looked around to try and find a way out. And she found one, a nearby window. She gasped excitedly, but it was loud enough for the Kraang Droid to hear. It threw down the extinguisher and walked towards the triplets' hiding spot. But as it got there, they weren't there. The Kraang Droid continued to look around, trying to find any signs of an intruder. Just then, it heard the window closing. As it walked over to investigate, April ran up behind it and hit its head with a lead pipe. The Kraang Droid, unphased by the attack, turned its head around, surprising April. As it stared at her in confusion, she hit it with the pipe again, knocking it out the window. Komet and Elena ran up to join their sister. "Nice work, sis." Komet said. "Yeah. Well planned." Elena said. "Thanks. Now let's get out of here before more Kraang show up." April said as she dropped the pipe and ran off with her siblings following.

Meanwhile, back at the lair, Mikey examined Donnie's robot. "Isn't it cool? I reverse-engineered it from the Kraang Droid." Donnie explained. "Okay. Why?" Leo asked. "So, the drone can handle the dangerous stuff while we stay out of the way." Donnie explained. "Excuse me?" Karai asked. "Oh, I get it. This is for wimps too afraid to fight." Raph said. "No. It's for wimps too smart to fight." Donnie said before realizing what he said. "I mean-" Mikey tapped the robot's head. "Hmm. I think we should call this thing…Metalhead." He said. "Metalhead. That's a good name." Wyatt said. "What about the other robot we found?" Venus asked. "Oh, glad you asked." Donnie said before letting out a whistle. Just then, the robot, now all functional, shiny and squeaky clean, walked out of Donnie's lab and presented itself to the Turtles, Karai and Wyatt. "Greetings, young masters. I am Uloq, your humble robot servant." The robot, named Uloq, greeted. "I repaired his circuitry and gave him a complete scrub from top to bottom. He was seriously disgusting. No offense." Donnie said. "None taken, Master Donatello." Uloq said.

"Well, I don't need a toaster to fight my battles for me." Raph said. "This is ridiculous, Donnie. It takes the whole point out of being a ninja." Leo said. "It's exactly the point of being a ninja. We adapt. Now watch this. Attack the drone." Donnie said. "You sure? I don't wanna break your toy." Leo said. "Me neither." Karai said. "I do." Raph said, shoving past them. As he stepped forth, Donnie activated Metalhead's controller. Raph growled as he charged towards Metalhead. He drew his sais, leapt towards Metalhead and prepared to stab him. But then, through Donnie's control, Metalhead caught the sais in midair and started slamming Raph on the ground, back and forth, before tossing at the turnstiles. As Donnie chuckled, Leo, Mikey, Venus and Karai leapt towards Metalhead. Donnie got out of the way as they attacked Metalhead with their weapons. But none of them even scratched Metalhead's armor. Just then, through Donnie's controller, Metalhead grabbed Leo and Mikey's weapons, shocking everyone, and pulled Leo and Mikey towards each other, making them bash their heads together, knocking them out. "Leo!" Karai cried. Just then, Metalhead stepped on her foot, making her shout in pain. Then Metalhead kicked her, sending her flying. Donnie ducked down as she flew into Raph. As Venus started trying to back away, Metalhead turned his head around, surprising her, and punched her, sending her over to the others.

"I kicked your shells! And I didn't even have to use the laser cannon. Face it, guys, with this thing, I'm invincible." Donnie said. "Bravo, Master Donatello." Uloq said. Just then, Raph got up as he recovered and knocked the controller out of Donnie's hands with one of his sais. "Oh yeah?" He asked mockingly. "You know what I mean." Donnie said. But as he went to grab his controller, Splinter walked up with Shen and put his foot on it, stopping Donnie from picking it up. "Oh, Senseis. I was wondering if I could take Metalhead for a spin tonight?" Donnie asked. "You may." Splinter said. "That's totally unfair! You can't just- Wait, what?" Donnie asked. "Yes. You created this new weapon, so we must see how well it works. Or how well he works, I should say." Shen said, patting Metalhead. "That's great. Thank you, Senseis." Donnie said. "But it is a test only. Do not take it into combat." Splinter ordered. "No problem, Senseis." Donnie said. With that, Splinter and Shen walked away. "You're taking it into combat, aren't you?" Raph asked as he and Mikey read a magazine. "Totally." Donnie said excitedly.

Later, the Turtles, Karai and Wyatt quietly crept across the rooftops. But Metalhead stomped across the rooftops before catching up with the others. "Maybe we should double back. I think there's a car alarm we didn't set off." Leo said sarcastically. "I kinda like it. It goes nicely with all the sirens and cries for help." Raph joked. Donnie was watching everything through Metalhead's optics via the TV back in the lair. "Oh, you guys are just jealous because you're all out in the cold and I'm here eating Mikey's last slice of pizza." He gloated as he grabbed Mikey's pizza. "Hey! Now you owe me a whole pie!" Mikey exclaimed. "Hello?" A voice called. "Guys, quiet! Somebody's coming." Leo whispered. The Turtles, Karai and Wyatt knelt down quietly, but Metalhead made to much noise as he knelt down. "Guys, it's us." The voice called. The Turtles, Karai and Wyatt looked down to see the O'Neil Triplets walking down the alley. "April. Komet. Elena." Leo said as they leapt down from the roof. "Guys, we were just looking for you." April said as they landed in the alley. "Wait. Where's Donnie?" Elena asked. Suddenly, Metalhead crashed into the dumpster beside them, startling them. Leo and Karai face-palmed themselves as Metalhead struggled and managed to get out of the dumpster. "Still, it's stealthier than the real Donatello." Raph said. "What the heck is that?" Komet asked. "It's Donnie's latest and brilliant creation. Metalhead." Leo introduced. "Sorry, O'Neils. I'm still getting used to the controls." Donnie said through Metalhead's megaphone, making everyone cover their ears. "Oops. Megaphone button got stuck." "Guys, we gotta do something. We overheard that the Kraang are gonna poison the city's water supply with Mutagen." Elena said. "The whole city will become a disaster area." Leo said. "There'll be mutants everywhere." Donnie said. "Oh, man! Like we didn't have enough problems." Mikey said in worry. "We gotta stop them before that happens." Wyatt said. "Let's go!" Leo ordered as they took off. "Yeah! The Kraang don't stand a chance!" Donnie exclaimed excitedly as Metalhead tried to follow. But Leo stopped him. "What?" Donnie asked. "Donnie, we need you to hang back. Metalhead is just too clumsy. It'll get in our way." Leo said. "Clumsy?!" Donnie exclaimed, causing Metalhead to accidentally hit a couple of trash cans. "I did that on purpose to emphasize my point." He assured. "You're not coming, Donnie." Leo said. "It's not worth the risk." Karai said. As the Turtles, Karai and Wyatt left, the O'Neil Triplets comforted Donnie as Metalhead slumped his shoulders in sadness.

As the Turtles, Karai and Wyatt leap down to the target building, Metalhead and the O'Neil Triplets watch from the rooftop. Though, Donnie kept turning Metalhead's head to look at Elena, trying not to get noticed by April and Komet. "So…Elena…you like heavy metal?" Donnie asked nervously. "It's…quite a look." Elena said, just as nervous.

Meanwhile, inside the facility, the Turtles, Karai and Wyatt watched as the Kraang were loading up canisters of Mutagen. "Looks like a Kraang picnic down there." Leo said. "And it looks like we're the ants to this picnic." Karai said. "Ready to bash some bots?" Raph asked. "Destroy some droids?" Venus added. "Crush some Kraang?" Wyatt added. "You do know that Kraang starts with a K, right?" Mikey asked. "Oh. Didn't know that." Wyatt said. "Never mind. Let's do this." Leo said as he and Raph leapt down and took out the Kraang Droids carrying the Mutagen. "Booyakasha!" Mikey yelled as he, Venus and Wyatt leapt down and took out the remaining Kraang Droids. They snuck deeper into the building, hiding behind some crates as they spotted more Kraang Droids loading up Mutagen. Suddenly, one of the Kraang Droids that survived their surprise attack, still functioning, collapsed and got the other Kraang Droids' attention, pointing towards the Turtles, Karai and Wyatt. "We're in trouble." Karai said with worry as the Kraang Droids aimed their blasters at them and started firing, forcing them to run.

Meanwhile, back on the roof, as Metalhead and the O'Neil Triplets continued to watch, Donnie turned Metalhead's head again to look at Elena. "Look at her. She's so beautiful. On this monitor, they can't tell that I'm staring." He said. "You do know that's not muted, right?" Komet asked, surprising Donnie. "Of course! If it was muted, you guys couldn't hear me joking." Donnie said, face-palming himself in embarrassment. Elena smiled, knowing it wasn't a joke. "Man, I hope they bought that." Donnie said, accidently activating the megaphone. "That's the megaphone." April said. "I know. So, how do you think the fight's going?" Donnie asked, shutting off the megaphone. Suddenly, they were nearly hit by an energy blast, knocking them down. "THEY'RE EVERYWHERE! RUN!" Mikey screamed as they recovered. "Not great." April said in worry.

Meanwhile, the Kraang continued shooting at the Turtles, Karai and Wyatt. "Leo, Karai, we're running out of room." Raph said with worry as they ducked behind some more crates for cover. "We're trapped!" Leo exclaimed. "What're we gonna do? We don't have the power to take on all those Kraang." Venus said with worry. Suddenly, Metalhead dropped in through the widows on the roof and landed on a couple Kraang Droids, making a weird pose with his arms. "What are you doing?! What is wrong with your arms?!" Leo exclaimed. "My hands aren't on my hips?" Donnie asked. "NO!" Leo exclaimed. "Sorry. Forgot to press B." Donnie said. Metalhead moved his arms to his hips, striking a pose. The Kraang took aim at the robot drone and started blasting.

The Turtles, Karai and Wyatt looked on as Metalhead took the blasts without even getting scratched. The Kraang stopped firing, looking at each other in confusion. "Now it's my turn!" Donnie exclaimed. Metalhead's left hand switched to a blaster attachment. "Eat hot laser!" Donnie exclaimed as Metalhead started firing, blasting the Kraang. "Hahaha! Want some of this?! Hehehe! Yeah, baby!" Donnie cheered as he pushed the buttons. Metalhead raised his right hand and fired it like a rocket, punching each Kraang and knocking them down before heading right back to him, reattaching to his arm. "Hey, Raph, how's it feel to be shown up by a toaster?" Donnie asked mockingly. Raph glared at him. "Burn." Mikey said, seeing 2 more Kraang Droids walk up behind Metalhead. "Yeah, I thought that was pretty good too." Donnie said, not paying attention. "No! Burn!" Mikey exclaimed. "Oh, right." Donnie said as Metalhead activated another attachment on his right hand, turned around and blew a flamethrower at the 2 Kraang, knocking them down. Suddenly, one of the Kraang Droids recovered. "That thing which does violence at Kraang used to do violence for Kraang." It said, realizing that Metalhead was originally Kraang tech. It de-linked from it's Droid and started crawling towards Metalhead.

Meanwhile, Metalhead continued firing his laser cannon, nearly hitting the Turtles, Karai and Wyatt. "HEY!" Venus exclaimed. "Whoops! Sorry, guys." Donnie said. "Donnie, watch the friendly fire!" Leo exclaimed. "Yeah, I'd hate to explain to Father and Mother how we got blasted by your toy!" Karai exclaimed. "Here's some for you! And some for you! And oh yeah, I saved a little for you too. How'd that taste?!" Donnie exclaimed as he continued shooting the Kraang. But then, Metalhead's laser fire turned towards a Kraang standing in front of propane tanks. "Donnie, no! Those are propane tanks!" Wyatt exclaimed. Too late. The laser fire caused the tanks to explode, sending Metalhead to fly into a support beam and breaking the antennae connecting Metalhead to Donnie's controller.

Back at the lair, Donnie saw that the signal was lost on the TV "No! I lost the control signal!" He exclaimed with worry. But then, he saw the Kraang climbing onto Metalhead. "What's that Kraang doing?" The Kraang climbed onto Metalhead's head and attempted to link to it, electrocuting itself on Metalhead's defenses. But the Kraang shook it off and linked to Metalhead, taking control of him. "Uh oh! Guys, if you can hear me, you might wanna run!" Donnie exclaimed through the microphone. The Turtles, Karai and Wyatt, having been caught in the explosion, recovered quickly and saw the Kraang-controlled Metalhead stomping towards them. "The ones that which are called Turtles, Karai and Wyatt Reid, will now be called Turtles, Karai and Wyatt Reid that are…destroyed." The Kraang said, ending with the megaphone. "Should we be worried?" Mikey asked with worry. Just then, Metalhead readied his laser cannon, aiming at Mikey. "Oh yeah! Totally worried!" Mikey cried.

Donnie watched in horror as Metalhead started firing at Mikey, making him scream. "Come on! Come on!" He said, trying to regain control. He looked through his equipment. "Maybe if I can override-" But then, Splinter and Shen stopped him. "Donatello, the time for game is over." Splinter said. "Yes. The time for action is now." Shen added. Donnie thought about it and threw away the controller. "You're right, Senseis. My siblings need me." Donnie said as he started to head out. "Wait!" Splinter called, stopping him. "Here." He tossed Donnie his bō staff. Donnie stared at it, knowing that it was his only chance. He accepted it and bowed to his teachers. "Come on, Uloq!" He exclaimed as he took off to help his siblings. "I am right behind you, Master Donatello!" Uloq called as he followed Donnie.

Meanwhile, back in the facility, the Turtles, Karai and Wyatt charged towards Metalhead, dodging his laser fire. Mikey tossed one of his nunchaku at the cannon, throwing it off aim and giving the others the chance to surround him. "Give him everything you've got!" Leo ordered. They all started attacking Metalhead all at once. But they couldn't get through his armor. "He's gotta have a weak spot!" Karai exclaimed. "Did Donnie even give this thing a weak spot?!" Venus exclaimed. "This probably won't work on a robot, but…" Mikey started to say and kicked Metalhead in the groin. But it hurt Mikey's foot instead. "Ow! I was right! Doesn't work on robots!" He cried. Metalhead punched each of them, knocking them down one by one. As they quickly recovered, they looked up and saw Metalhead and more Kraang Droids. "Now Kraang will destroy you. Which one wants to be first to be destroyed by Kraang?" The Kraang-controlled Metalhead asked. "ME!" Donnie's voice exclaimed. Everyone looked up as he leapt down through the broken window, readying his bō staff. Uloq followed as he landed beside Donnie, ready to fight. "Donnie! Uloq! Nice entrance." Mikey said. "You guys deal with the Droids. Uloq and I will handle Metalhead." Donnie said. The Turtles, Karai and Wyatt ran past them and Metalhead, and started attacking the Kraang Droids.

"It is the maker of the tech which was the tech that was on the Kraang." Kraang-controlled Metalhead said. "Come on! Give us your best-" Donnie tried to say until Metalhead fired his rocket fist and him and Uloq. They dodged the fist, but it chased after them. "Look out, Master Donatello! I've got this one!" Uloq exclaimed as he stepped in front of Donnie and kicked the fist, punching Metalhead with it. Donnie and Uloq attacked Metalhead together, striking him everywhere. But Metalhead, unphased by their hits, activated his laser cannon and started shooting at them. Donnie dodged the blasts, but Uloq took them, not getting hurt by them. But as Donnie tried to block one of the blasts, it broke his bō staff again. "Oh, not again!" Donnie said with worry. Just then, Metalhead launched an eye grenade from his optics. Donnie and Uloq leapt for cover as the explosion knocked Metalhead down. As Donnie and Uloq peeked out from behind an oil barrel, they saw that the blast did some damage to one of the support beams and was ready to fall where Metalhead was. "That might work." Donnie said. "I see what you're planning, Master Donatello. And I'm on board." Uloq said. "Hey, Kraang!" Donnie called, getting Metalhead to start shooting at him and Uloq again. "The one who is called your mother wears the boots that are made for combat!" He exclaimed. "And the one who is called your father is what is known as a fridge that is what is known as outdated!" Uloq exclaimed. "The comments that are made by you shows ignorance of Kraang. The ones known by you as mother and father-" Kraang-controlled Metalhead tried to say. "Just come get us!" Donnie exclaimed. Metalhead fired more eye bombs at them, but they dodged the bombs, causing them to blow up against the support beam. Metalhead started firing his laser cannon as the support beam started to go over. Donnie and Uloq leapt over Metalhead as they dodged the laser fire. As the support beam was about to fall on Metalhead, Donnie held out the broken end of his bō staff as the support beam fell on Metalhead. "Master Donatello!" Uloq cried with worry.

As the dust cleared, Donnie saw that his broken bō staff pierced right through Metalhead's chest. "Booyakasha!" He cheered. "Did sound a little weird when he said it?" Mikey asked. "Eh, no offense, but it sounds weird when you say it too." Raph said. "That which is the revenge will be had on those who are called themselves the Turtles, Karai, Wyatt Reid, and the unidentified robot who is called Uloq." Kraang-controlled Metalhead said before he shut down, causing the Kraang to de-link from him and land on Donnie's face, making him scream before it went scampering away. The Turtles, Karai and Wyatt walked over as Uloq helped Donnie to his feet. "Nice job, Donnie." Mikey said. "Way to go, Donnie." Leo said. "You really saved the day." Karai said. "Yeah, you were awesome." Venus said. "Yeah. Not bad. Except the part where you built that thing in the first place. And the part where it broke. And the part where it tried to kill us! And the part-" Raph ranted until Uloq punched him in the face, knocking him out. "Oh, do shut up, Master Raphael." Uloq said.

Later, after they returned to the lair, Donnie was tinkering with Metalhead's body while Leo, Raph, Mikey and Venus were playing one of their arcade games. "Oh, so close to my high score." Leo teased as Raph lost the game. Karai, Wyatt and the O'Neil Triplets sat together as Uloq presented them with tea he brewed himself. "Thanks, Uloq. This tea is very delicious." Karai said. "I am happy to hear that it is to your liking, Mistress Karai." Uloq said. "Uloq, we were just wondering, where did you come from? Where were you created?" Karai asked. "I do not remember much. My memory systems were slightly damaged for some time. But I do remember that I was created by a robotics company known as Indigo Systems." Uloq explained. "Indigo Systems? We've heard of that company. It's run by a great billionaire." April said. "I've also heard of it during my travels. They not only make robots, but they're also have their own fashion line." Wyatt said. "And that's all you can remember? You can't remember how you wound up in the sewer where we found you?" Karai asked. "I'm afraid not, Mistress Karai." Uloq said. Suddenly, they heard the Turtles starting to fight. "Not again!" Karai groaned as she got up and ran over. "This violence is unacceptable, young masters!" Uloq exclaimed as he followed.

As Donnie fiddled with his experiments, Splinter and Shen walked over and noticed a sad look on his face. "What troubles you, my son?" Splinter asked. "Yes, you are never like this after a mission." Shen asked. "This was all my fault, Senseis." Donnie said with a sad sigh. "You are responsible, yes." Splinter said. "Yeah." Donnie said. "Responsible for destroying the Mutagen, responsible for saving the people of this city, responsible for defeating alien technology using only ingenuity, bravery…and a stick." Splinter explained. "We are very proud of you, Donatello." Shen said. "Thanks, Senseis. Maybe you're right." Donnie said. "We are." Splinter said. "We always are." Shen said. "I guess with proper training, there's nothing better than a wooden stick." Donnie said. But then, he showed an upgrade he made to his bō staff. "Except a laser-guided missile-launching wooden stick." But as he tapped the floor with the staff's bottom, the missile activated. The Turtles, Karai and Uloq, still fighting, stopped when they heard the missile activating. "It's not supposed to do that! RUN!" Donnie screamed. Everyone screamed as they ran for cover.

Well, how was that for a crazy time? Donnie's gotten sick of fighting the Kraang with his bō staff. So, he's taken one of the Kraang Droids and tinkered with it, creating a remote-controlled robot called Metalhead. Along the way, they also picked up a second robot and a new ally named Uloq. But when Metalhead was taken over by the Kraang, Donnie re-embraced his bō staff and went with Uloq to help the others. Donnie successfully destroyed Metalhead, but is already begun repairs.
