It was not supposed to be this way!
Raynare tore at her hair.
Okay, first, they were supposed to go to a villa in the middle of nowhere. There, while the Hyoudous were having fun and the Catholics were distracted, Raynare would get close to Asia Argento and continue building their already friendly relationship. Then, Raynare would invite her to the beach and get hurt tripping over some sharp rocks to get wounded. The bleeding heart Asia would then heal poor, poor Raynare so she could get very valuable data on Twilight Healing!
It went all wrong!
First, that damned exorcist wouldn't leave Asia alone. Second, Issei Hyoudou was somehow always there whenever Xenovia wasn't. And third! Raynare actually had fun at the beach and wasn't able to do anything productive whatsoever!
Now, they have just returned back to the house a few hours back and had a nice roasted dinner. The Hyoudou family turned in early to bed and Asia followed suit, since she slept in the room near them.
Raynare slammed her face into her pillow repeatedly and silently screamed into the night.
It was a good morning for Asia Argento. She woke up early and did her morning Bible reading and prayer. She asked the Lord to bless the Hyoudou family then remembered that they were a family of devils so she prayed that the Lord curse them. She then apologized deeply and asked the Lord to bless them. After that, she did some light stretches before taking a bath. After bathing, Asia put on some clothes and silently descended the second floor.
"Good morning Issei-san!" she greeted Issei, who was cooking breakfast. The maid, Ela, was helping him and merely glanced at Asia with her red eyes. "How can I help you today?" she asked as she put on her flower apron, sewed by Rias and Irina.
Issei smiled. "Good morning Asia-chan. You can start by cracking those eggs," he gestured to a tray of eggs on the countertop and the bowl beside it.
"Gladly!" Asia nodded and started carefully breaking the eggs and putting the yolk and egg white into the bowl. She wasn't used to it before but after helping Issei in the kitchen many times over she could say she was proficient at least. Issei also taught her how to chop a chicken, the different kinds of knife cuts, and the basics of the actual cooking. She suffered from cuts before, but the knife in her hands wouldn't dare hurt its owner anymore.
Before long, Asia was finished cracking the eggs. "I'm done," she said. "What's next?"
"Pour them here, grab the milk and add some of that too," Issei's tentacle pushed a tentacle with a flour mix in it.
"Pancakes?"
"Yep, pancakes," Issei gave her a thumbs up. "Ela, would you kindly wake them up? Thank you," Issei spoke to the maid before turning back to Asia. "Can you do it?"
"I can," Asia poured all the eggs into the center of the mix and started mixing.
"Good. That's the second set, so put some chocolate chips into it as well," Issei handed Asia a plastic bag of the sweet choco. Asia unsealed it and added the chips after pouring half a dozen cups of milk into the mix. She stirred the batter until all the ingredients were mixed together.
Issei placed a pan onto the stove and breathed some fire and fuel into the Fangeild's input to turn on the flame. He gestured to Asia.
"Can I?" Asia asked, like she was just given the car keys after getting her license.
"Go ahead."
Asia clapped her hands in glee and got busy. She adjusted the stove's flame to her liking and waited for the pan to get hot. Once it was hot enough, she poured a little oil. She once again waited for the oil to become hot before pouring in the pancake batter.
"It's time for school again next week huh," Issei commented.
"It is?"
"It is."
"I didn't know!" Asia said. "Summer felt so fast!"
"Are you looking forward to it?"
"Yep!" Asia nodded her head. "I can't wait to meet Aika-san again! Murayama-san and Katase-san too!"
"Me too," Issei nodded. "I can't wait to smash Matsuda's face in," his grin was pure evil.
Asia furrowed her eyebrows and frowned. "That's not good, Issei-san."
"It's justice, Asia-chan," Issei flinched slightly at Asia's reprimanding tone of voice. "You see, Matsuda did something he wasn't supposed to do and now he has to get his face smashed in."
"You should confront him about it first before you do anything violent."
"B-But," Issei squinted, trying to find a comeback to that. "It's a boy thing, Asia-chan. You don't have to worry about Matsuda."
Asia raised her pointer finger and put her other hand on her waist, spatula in hand. "Even then Issei-san. Violence shouldn't be the answer."
"Did somebody say violence?" Ichika popped up from the staircase.
"Yes, Asia-nee said 'violence,' " Issei jumped at the chance to change the subject. "Violence!"
"Extreme violence!" Ichika raised her fists.
[Boost]
"Ah, Ichika, what did Nii-chan say about using the Boosted Gear inside the house?" Asia's attention shifted from Issei to his younger sister. She scolded her about the house rules.
"Not to use it…"
"Good girl," Asia's scolding face softened and she smiled gently.
"I'm sorry."
"You're forgiven."
Asia looked like a saint from heaven as she crouched and patted the small girl's head. She wore an apron and her blonde hair was tied in a ponytail but her emerald green eyes shone with a gentleness that enchanted Issei.
"Ehem, Asia-chan, your pancakes are starting to burn."
"Hah? Ah! Awawawawa!" Asia made panicked noises as she leapt back to the stove and removed the pancake that was not even half-cooked yet. She stared at the pancake for a moment before her gentle emerald green eyes turned to Issei. She pouted. "Issei-saaaaaaan! I was very worried there!"
"Ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha~" Issei laughed out loud and slapped his knee. "I should've taken a picture, that look on your face was priceless. Ha-ha-ha!"
"Mouuuuu~" Asia pouted. "Bad, Issei-san. Bad."
"Bad Nii-chan!" Ichika jumped on the bandwagon with a cheeky grin.
"It was a funny joke!" Issei laughed some more even as Asia attacked him with her pointer. It was more cute than anything. Issei decided that Asia's pouting face was something that he should see more often. Her angwy face (yes, not angry) earlier was also adorable.
"Oh, no! the pancake is actually going to burn!" Asia paled and concentrated on cooking her pancakes.
