Several Days Later: Power Chamber

The scene starts out in the power chamber. The rangers have just returned, and are still morphed.

Rangers: power down

Kate: alright that was pathetic guys

Brandon: what are you talking about? We won

Kelsey: but civilians were hurt.

Kate: exactly. We're supposed to be the good guys. We're lucky nobody got seriously injured, but next time we might not be so lucky. We need to work on our teamwork.

Greg: what did you have in mind?

Ny: Lazer Gate

Kate: that's not a bad idea. We could work together to try and win. I'll let you know when.

The others nod and teleport away.

Mysterious Spaceship:

We see the 7 siblings talking.

Chaos: (to Gridlock and Granitor) did you infiltrate Omegor's ranks?

Both: yes brother.

Aquatus: as did I. And I even managed to capture the green ranger. Thus earning his trust.

Illuminator: good. You all have your assignments. Father will not be pleased with you if you fail.

All except for Chaos: yes sister.

They all teleport away, except for Chaos and Illuminator.

Chaos: now we wait

Back on Earth:

We see Brandon and Laura going about their business. Their communicators go off, and they activate them.

Both: go ahead Kate

Male Voice: (to Brandon) not Kate red ranger

Female Voice: (to Laura) not Kate purple ranger

Both: what do you want from me?

Both: a fight.

Brandon: where?

The two receive coordinates.

Both: meet me there in 30 Earth minutes. And come alone

Brandon and Laura each look up the coordinates they were given. They appear to lead to an open field, with nothing around for miles. They decide to take the chance. 30 minutes later the two of them teleport to the location given. Greg walks in just as Laura teleports away.

Greg: Laura?

Brandon and Laura arrive on scene, and look at each other in surprise.

Laura: what are you doing here?

Brandon: I was about to ask you the same question.

Laura: you can't be here. Please you need to leave.

Brandon: why? What's going on Laura?

Before Laura can answer, Psyclone and Morticai arrive on the scene. They approach the two and stop a short distance away.

Brandon: Morticai

Laura: Psyclone

The two of them nod in acknowledgement

Brandon: what the hell do you two want?

Morticai: a fight.

Laura: a fight? Are things up there really that boring?

Psyclone: fight us, or we'll go have some fun in the nearby city. Your choice rangers.

Brandon: fine. Ready?

Laura: ready

Both: Dragon Thunder power up hah

They draw their swords and Psyclone and Morticai summon their axes.

Brandon: (to Laura) I'll take Morticai you take Psyclone.

Laura: right

The 4 combatants begin walking in a circle, looking for an opportunity to strike. Morticai makes the first move. He moves super-fast, striking Brandon hard. Brandon flinches, but follows up with a counterattack. He lands a hit on Morticai's back. Meanwhile Laura and Psyclone are locked in combat. They exchange blows for a bit, and then back off. The 2 of them are breathing heavily. Brandon and Morticai meet in the middle again. Brandon swings his sword at Morticai, but he dodges. He then follows up with a punch to Brandon's back. Brandon is sent flying across the field. He lands hard and skids across the ground. After a moment he stands up and faces Morticai.

Laura: (through helmet comm) you okay Brandon?

Brandon: (pained) I'll live

Morticai begins to walk toward Brandon. As he gets closer, Brandon hears a voice in his head. The voice says only one word.

Voice: força

Brandon looks around confused.

Brandon: who was that?

He gets the feeling that he should speak the word aloud.

Brandon: (shrugging) what do I have to lose? Força

As soon as Brandon speaks the word, he feels a sudden rush of strength course through him. There is no visible change, but Brandon feels like he can lift a boulder with ease. We see a faint glow from Brandon's chest area, where you would find a necklace.

Brandon: this feels amazing.

He looks over and sees a large rock nearby. Morticai is slowly walking toward him. Brandon rushes over to the rock and, with minimal effort, lifts it out of the ground and over his head. Morticai, Laura and Psyclone look on in amazement.

Morticai: what the fuck?

Without hesitation, Brandon hurls the rock at the stunned Morticai. The rock hits him square in the chest, sending him flying. He lands and the rock skids to a stop next to him. Brandon and Laura regroup and look at the 2 generals. We can see that Psyclone is hurting as well. A look at Laura shows that she has taken some hits, and is favoring her left leg more.

Laura: Brandon that was amazing. How did you do that?

Brandon: I don't know. (to the generals) leave now before I get really pissed. This will be your one and only warning.

Morticai: never

He goes to stand up, but falls back down. Psyclone goes and helps him to his feet and the two look at the rangers.

Psyclone: this isn't over rangers.

Brandon: (stepping forward and cracking knuckles) you want more?

Psyclone takes an involuntary step back. She seems to be reconsidering. After a moment, she turns to Morticai.

Psyclone: let's get back before dad realizes we're gone.

Morticai: fine.

The two of them teleport away. After a moment Brandon sags in exhaustion, it seems like the strength has worn off. Laura limps over to him and he looks at her.

Laura: you okay?

Brandon: yeah how about you?

Laura: (flinching) I'll live. My leg hurts like a bitch though

Brandon: let's get back to the power chamber. We need to talk to Kate about this.

Both: power down

Their ranger suits disappear, and Laura notices a glow under Brandon's shirt.

Laura: what's that?

She points, and Brandon looks down at his shirt. He reaches into the collar and pulls out his "power stone". We see that it is glowing a bright red color.

Laura: it's the thing Kate told us about. Your power stone.

Brandon: so I guess my power is super strength then. Cool

The two of them teleport away, Brandon supporting Laura as they do so. They arrive at the power chamber to find Kate isn't there. Alpha approaches the two of them quickly.

Alpha: aye yi yi yi yi. What happened to you two?

Brandon: Psyclone and Morticai happened. Where's Kate Alpha?

Alpha: she had a meeting with the head of The People. She should be back soon

A short time later Kate arrives back at the power chamber. We can tell she is not happy. She doesn't seem to notice Brandon and Laura standing there.

Kate: Alpha would you mind making me some tea please.

Alpha: right away Kate

He goes into a side chamber. Kate looks up and notices the other two, jumping in surprise.

Kate: oh hey what's up?

She notices that Brandon is helping to support Laura. She pulls up a chair and Brandon helps her sit down.

Kate: what happened?

Brandon and Laura tell Kate about their fight with Omegor's generals.

Laura: it was so cool. You should've seen it Kate. He lifted that rock like it was made of paper.

Kate: So you've unlocked your power then it seems. Can't say I'm happy about you two going against them alone. That was a very stupid thing to do. What were you two thinking?

Brandon: they wanted a fight. So we gave them one.

Laura: in fairness they did say come alone

Kate: really? We're listening to our enemies now? And what if Brandon's power hadn't awakened? You two would probably have both been destroyed. Don't ever do that again.

Both: but

Kate: ever. Do I make myself clear?

The two of them nod. After that Kate's face softens and she goes over to Laura. She kneels down and begins to inspect her leg.

Kate: (pulling back fabric on Laura's pants) it doesn't look too bad. I should be able to fix it no problem.

She places her palm on the wound, and says a word in another language. Her palm glows briefly, and when she removes it the wound is completely gone. Brandon and Laura look in amazement.

Brandon: that was amazing.

Laura: is that your power Kate?

Kate: no. that was a little bit of Draconian magic. Ian is the only one of us with the power to heal. Each of us will have a different power at our disposal.

Laura: what was that word you used?

Kate: it was the Draconian word for heal. Curar

Laura: and with that you can cure any injury?

Kate: as far as I know yes. It can't bring someone back to life though, and it can't restore lost limbs. We learned both those things 10,000 years ago. Just please be careful you two. We can't afford to lose anyone right now.

The two of them nod in agreement. They then teleport away as Alpha brings Kate her cup of tea. Laura arrives back home to find an angry Greg waiting for her.

Greg: where have you been?

Laura: nowhere

Greg: (noticing the rip in Laura's pants) bull. Who did you fight?

Laura: it was Psyclone

Greg: what? Please tell me you're joking Laura

He notices Laura's face and realizes she's telling the truth.

Greg: please tell me you didn't do it alone at least

Laura: Brandon was fighting Morticai nearby. Does that count?

Greg: Laura!

Laura: please don't Greg. I already had to listen to Kate lecture me about this. I know it was stupid. But I had a score to settle with her.

Greg's face softens and he hugs Laura tightly.

Greg: I'm just glad you're okay. Are you hurt?

He goes to check the cut in Laura's pants. He moves the fabric, and is surprised when there is no wound. Laura then tells Greg the full story about what happened. From the moment they arrived at the field, to the moment they left the power chamber. The whole time Greg listens silently. When Laura mentions Brandon using his power, he seems impressed.

Greg: I'm just glad to see you're okay. And you're lucky Kate was able to heal you. I don't know how we'd explain that wound to a nurse at the hospital.

Laura: I want to try something. Can I see that cut on your arm for a second.

Greg: sure

He rolls up his left sleeve revealing a gash on his shoulder. Laura places her palm on the wound.

Laura: Curar

Nothing happens, after a moment she removes her hand from the wound. We can tell she is disappointed that nothing happened. Greg rolls his sleeve back down.

Laura: oh well worth a shot

Ruined City:

The scene switches back to the ruined city. The eight people are standing with their blasters pointed at the monster. Nearby we see a a red and a purple dragon ranger standing, with their blasters raised as well.. We notice that the monster is Pyrax, he seems to be weighing his chances. We also see that Susan, Toni and Adam among the 8, but don't recognize the other 5.

Toni: leave now Pyrax, or else.

Pyrax: this isn't over. Not by a long shot

He and the drazors teleport away and the rangers approach.

Both: power down

Their rangers suits disappear, and we see it's an older looking Greg and Laura. Greg is wearing an eye patch over his right eye. Laura has a nasty looking scar over her left eye as well. The eight people sigh in relief when they see them.

Adam: thank god friendly faces.

Greg: (looking around) what the hell happened around here?

Susan: you might wanna sit down for this.

All 10 of them sit down on some rubble.

Laura: how long has it been since we beat Omegor?

Adam: it's been a little over a year. Everything was peaceful, the nations agreed to live in harmony.

Greg: really?

Man: yep. Turns out all it takes is a maniac trying to invade to put things into perspective. The nations realized that things couldn't continue the way they were. Thus the unity pact was signed.

Laura: the what?

Woman: a treaty between the rulers of the world. That basically ensures something like Omegor's invasion, or the Megaforce ranger's battle with the armada, couldn't happen again. And if it did the nations of the world would be there to provide assistance.

Greg: that's amazing. So what happened here? It doesn't look very peaceful to me

Adam: it happened 3 months ago. One day a giant spaceship was spotted entering the Earth's atmosphere. Naturally the nations prepared for the worst. Those of us that remained went to the landing site.

Toni: that's when all hell broke loose. The ramp to the ship lowered, and thousands of monsters and drazors swarmed out of the ship. And without our powers, we were powerless to stop them.

Morphers: power source detected.

Adam: well finally something good is happening

Susan and Toni each place a hand on Greg and Laura's shoulder. Then the 10 of them teleport away.

Present Day Earth:

Brandon taking a run through a park. He's wearing a pair of red headphones and is singing. Suddenly Barca steps in front of him, but Brandon doesn't notice. He runs straight into Barca and falls on his butt.

Brandon: what the heck? Watch where you're going

He looks up to see who he hit.

Brandon: you

Barca: me

He holds out a hand and helps Brandon to his feet. Brandon dusts himself off and lowers his headphones.

Brandon: what do you want? Kate isn't here with me, if that's what you think.

Barca: I'm not here for her. I'm here for you Brandon.

He reaches into his pocket and pulls out a strange device. He looks at it then up at Brandon.

Barca: how about a little sparring session?

Brandon: (surprised) sure

Barca: SPD emergency

Brandon: Dragon Thunder power up hah. So that's your team name then? SPD

Barca: technically it's Delta Thunder but SPD is the historical call for these morphers.

He draws his sword and points it at Brandon.

Barca: you ready?

Brandon: (drawing own sword) bring it on old man

The two meet in a clash of swords. They exchange blows for a few moments, then break apart. Both of them appear to be holding back. Brandon's visor retracts, and we can see he's smiling. He seems to be enjoying this sparring.

Brandon: I can tell you're holding back

Barca: as are you Brandon.

He summons a second sword and charges back at Brandon. Brandon is caught off guard, and is barely able to block Barca's attack. He pushes Barca away and counters with a strong attack. This catches Barca by surprise, and Brandon is able to land a solid strike on him. He takes a step back, holding his chest.

Barca: impressive. No human has ever been able to land a hit on me in years.

Brandon summons his second sword, but Barca raises his hands.

Barca: I concede defeat. Power down

Brandon: power down

Their ranger suits disappear, and the two-collapse exhausted. Once they both catch their breath, they sit up.

Brandon: (smiling) you're not bad

Barca: (smiling back) neither are you

Brandon: your fighting style seems so familiar. Who are you?

Barca: it should seem familiar Brandon.

His face changes, and we see it's Greg. Brandon is visibly surprised by this.

Brandon: Greg?

Greg: yep it's me. From the future

Brandon: but why? I know why you're here. But why did you wanna spar with me?

Greg: mainly because I was bored, and happened to spot you running.

Brandon laughs at this. After a moment Greg gets up and prepares to teleport away. Before he can Brandon places a hand on his shoulder.

Greg: what's up?

Brandon: any advice for me?

Greg: stay true to yourself and your team will follow you faithfully. You're doing an excellent job. But do me one favor please

Brandon: sure

Greg: lay off Kate. She's doing her best.

Brandon: she lied to us. You know that.

Greg: yes. And I know why she did it. You may not understand it now, but trust me you'll learn soon enough. Just give her a break.

Brandon seems to be considering his words.

Brandon: can't you tell me something?

Greg: I'm sorry. But knowledge of the future will only change what's meant to be, for better or worse.

Brandon nods, removing his hand from Greg's shoulder. Without another word, Greg teleports away. Brandon stands there thinking for a moment, then continues on his run.

Power Chamber; Several days later:

Everyone, except for Kelsey and Ian, are standing in the power chamber. They seem to be waiting for something.

Brandon: what's this meeting about Kate?

Kate: no idea.

Just then Kelsey and Ian teleport in. We see they have brought 2 others with them, Jackie and a man wearing a Trucchis uniform. The others are surprised by this, and Kate steps forward.

Kate: what is the meaning of this you two? Explain yourselves

Jackie and the man are looking around in fascination.

Ian: I got an offer for a new job. And I'm afraid I won't be able to perform my ranger duties moving forward. So I decided to choose someone to take my place. You all know John.

John waves hi. He appears to be overwhelmed by all of this.

Kate: okay and Kelsey?

Kelsey: I'm pretty much in the same boat. My personal life and ranger life aren't compatible. So I've decided to step down as well. I've chosen Jackie here to take on the mantle of the pink ranger.

Jackie waves hello as well. She is a little more composed, but we can tell she is overwhelmed as well.

Both: (into morpher) initiate power transfer

Morphers: power transfer initiated

Ian and Kelsey remove their morphers, and hand them to their replacements. They take them and place them onto their left wrists. The morphers glow for a moment.

Morphers: power transfer complete. New ranger accepted

Kate: are you guys sure about this?

Both: yes Kate.

Kate: very well. Wait here a sec

She exits the room via one of the side doors. She comes back, a moment later, carrying morpher-like devices. She hands them to Ian and Kelsey. They take them and look at them.

Kelsey: what is it?

Kate: a communicator. It'll allow you guys to stay in touch with us. As well as teleport. If you need anything make sure to reach out.

Ian: thanks

Kate: hey once a ranger always a ranger.

The two of them teleport away, and Kate turns to Jackie and John.

Kate: you two have some big shoes to fill. Welcome to the team.

Both: thanks

Ny: I hope they at least filled you guys in on what's going on.

Jackie: yep. Everything except who the rest of the team is.

John: yeah they conveniently left that part out.

Brandon: yeah they had to do that.

Jackie: why? Kate revealed herself to me

Others: what?

Greg: when was that Kate?

Kate: the day Omegor launched the 8 attacks. There was an attack at Trucchis, I went to stop it. During the process I let it slip who I was to her, Toni, Adam and Tyler.

Shane: so let me get this straight. You broke rule # 3 on your first day as a ranger?

Kate: yeah

The others laugh at this. Kate is surprised, but joins in after a moment.

Kate: alright you guys go. Jackie, John stay here, there's some things we need to discuss.

The others teleport away.
