Incomplete World Of Elmore
Part 20
~Elmore Cafe
Carrie was cleaning mugs in the kitchen, irritated that she had been assigned kitchen duty for her shift. Carrie was washing the mugs when she noticed her reflection in them. She stopped cleaning them and put a cup on the stand. She then began to express her feelings about the reflection in the cup. Perhaps it was the clothes, but she had no idea how lovely she looked.
The spectral figure of a young girl began to strike poses in front of her reflection before abruptly turning to face her image. A mischievous grin crept across her features as she began to sway her hips rhythmically while keeping her eyes fixed on the mirror before her.
"Damn, who knew I was this thicc?" Carrie was so focused on admiring her curvy reflection that she didn't notice the sullen teenager behind her. She just looked at Carrie for a few minutes and then pulled out her phone as Carrie made a fool of herself.
"Oh, you like that. How about this?" She lifts her dress to see her undies that start smacking her butt. Then, she starts to twerk again with her underwear exposed as the reflection has the word cream puff on it. Clare had enough of this on her phone and then alerted Carrie by shouting.
"What are you doing?" Clare poked her head out the window, which prompted Carrie to awake from her stupor.
Carrie freezes midway through twerk to admire her reflection in a mug. She quickly covers her backside, blushing in embarrassment.
"You're just jealous that you'll be nowhere near as hot as me!" Carrie then continues to wash the mugs, which are still red on the face.
"Whatever, Cream puff." Clare rolls her eyes and then goes back to the counter, waiting for a customer to place an order. The day was slow, and she got bored with the shift. As a result, she started to narrate her thoughts inside her head.
"Well, at least I have some peace for now." Clare was about to sleep, closing her eyes.
"Hey, where do you want this number." An unknown voice calls Clare.
"(Sigh) Just put it at table five ." Clare looks bored while reading a pamphlet from the Cafe.
"So over her?" The voice asked the moody teen whose eyes turned to the corner of the Cafe.
"Yes, over there by the window—William?" Clare looks surprised to see an eyeball with wings and a hand for legs wearing a hat and bowtie uniform similar to hers.
"Yeah?" William, who is at the table, places the number on the table and then turns his eye to see her.
"Why are you wearing an Elmore Cafe uniform?"
"I work here; I'm only volunteering here to increase my chances of getting a better job."
"William, this place is not a charity- Wait, what's with the speaker on your bowtie?" Clare points to the speaker.
"Oh, this? Alan gave this to me last night to help me speak to the family. It was supposed to be a birthday present, but they wanted to surprise me early." William points to the speaker and looks behind her.
"I guess I'm not the only one working here cause the prick and weenie are here as well. " He points to himself, and Clare turns around in surprise at what she sees. Darrel and Ocho also wear uniforms. Ocho is using a mop to clean the floors. Darrel was getting some menus to put on the tables but slipped on the wet floor and shouted at Ocho, who shouted back at the hot dog.
"They had to pay off for destroying the old coffee job a few months ago; I heard they got the info from Lapin, who saw them run away from a shadow monster that was after them," Carrie shouted in the back.
"Great, so who's next? Gumball will be right behind and tell me-" Clare, being sarcastic, said Cabbit was right behind her.
"Sis, are the drinks ready? Because I need to get to this house in 30 minutes, or it's free." Gumball, wearing a delivery uniform, jumps and yelps as Clare turns to see him.
"Ahh, don't do that!" Clare shouts at Gumball, who is unfazed by her shouting and says "okay" to the teen. Then, a ring noise is heard as Carrie tosses him the drinks, which he catches mid-air.
"Gracias." The Cabbit then runs out of the Cafe through the door. Clare's eyes twitch as she starts moving her arms back and forth. Then the door opens, and the bell rings behind her. Then someone pokes behind Clare's back, who gets furious as the teen turns around with an annoyed face.
"WHAT!?" Clare shouted at the person behind her, who turned out to be Aphrodite in a star-themed uniform and a chef's hat with the words "Star Destroyer" in all caps.
"Hello, sister, where can I find the kitchen?" Aphrodite, chewing on some of her hair, responds to Clare, who points behind her. The albino rat walks on all fours and runs towards the kitchen.
"Why is everyone I know working here?" Clare bitterly mumbled as she returned to the counter.
~Kitchen
Carrie then hears the door open, expecting Clare or the boys to enter the kitchen. When she turns around, it turns out to be Aphrodite, Gumball's former pet-turned-sister.
"What the?" Carrie raises her eyebrows and sees the Albino Rat plant walk towards the cutting board with food.
" What are you doing here?" Carrie asks as the rat puts the ingredients on the table.
" I came to work 'cause I am an assistant rookie chef for two things, one for the blackmail on principal and to keep eyes on Nikolas." Aphrodite pulls some knives from the counter and starts chopping the food.
"And you went on a rampage in the cafeteria."Carrie puts the dishes away and starts to wash her hands.
"You did that in my body." Aphrodite hissed, sounding angry as she continued to prepare the dish on the order.
(Laughs) Yeah, that was great; it's a shame that Bobert exploded five minutes after we put a chip in him." Carrie chuckled again while getting another cup to clean.
"I saw the robot in my house last night or what is left of him in the basement," Aphrodite says as if she's having a normal conversation.
This causes Carrie to drop the glass and turn her head at the albino rat. Unbeknownst to the ghost, William hears the noise and flies into the room without making a peep.
"Do you just say Bobert was at your house?" Carried asked but didn't know William was behind her.
"Yes," Aphrodite answers with Williams's eye open.
"Why is Bobert's remains doing in your house?"
"I do not know. But Mum said Boobert was an outdated model later replaced by a newer one."
"Does Gumball know about this?"
"I didn't ask Nikolas about it. If he had known, he would have told one of you about it."
"Why are you telling me this?"
"Because you asked Aphrodite." She then puts the food in the oven.
~ Cafe
As they kept talking, William filed away to the counter. He files over Ocho's head and then whispers the conversation he just heard in the Kitchen. Ocho eyes wide, then flies to where Darrel is and whispers in his ears, causing him to drop the mop. Then Darrel runs to Clare on the counter, who is chewing some gum, and whispers in her ear, causing her to choke and swallow her gum.
"(Coughing) What!?" She hits her chest to stop coughing, then turns her head to see Carrie go through the kitchen door, only to be caught by Clare and pinned to the wall.
"What's your problem, Pooper!" Carrie
"Why are Bobert's remains doing in Gumball's house?" Then Clare slaps her face after she calls her Pooper.
"And it's Cooper."
"I don't know about. Wait, how did you know about that-" Carrie looks at the boys behind Clare, then turns her eyes to see William.
"William, were you spying on my conversation with the rat?"
"What? No, I overheard you two talking about Bobert and-"
"Are there any more orders that I have to deliver today?" Gumball returns, all five being quiet. Their eyes turn to see Clare holding Carrie to the wall, but the ghost goes through the wall and gets out of Clare's grip.
"...How much did you hear?" Darrel asked the cabbit.
"Heard about what?" Gumball tilts his head, confused about what they are discussing, and nervously looks at the hot dog as he is sweating.
There was a slight tension as Gumball's pupils shrank, his expression blank, and Darrel became more nervous and sweaty. He gave himself a nervous smile that started to crack more and more until a ding from a bell rang, and all six turned their heads as Aphrodite opened the kitchen door.
"The last order: Fresh pastries out of the oven and one cold drink are ready." Aphrodite puts the food in a bag and gives it to the cabbit.
"Where's the last order to?" Gumball asked Darrel, who looked at his phone.
"It's at the Elmore Football Stadium."
"Got it." He puts the bag in a backpack he pulled out of nowhere and leaves the Cafe without a word.
"I have to leave as well; Mum told me to return home after work." The rat plant took off her uniform, wearing her regular clothes under it.
William's pupil shrinks as a lightbulb appears on his head, exploding with a ding.
When Aphrodite is about to walk away, William lands on her head.
"Hold on, Aphrodite. Don't you want some company with you?" William shouts as his eyes look at her, and the rat plant's eyes look at him.
"Why?"
"Cause Me, Carrie, Clare, Darrel, and Harry want to go to your house." The other four say, "What!?" in unison. William turns his one eye with his wing and tells them to shush.
"Mum doesn't let strangers in her home."
"What were not strangers? We are your brother's closet and his only friend, but I'm his best friend."
"That is true. Although Mum doesn't want company, Nikolas is more open because of friends. She isn't home until six. Hmm, what do you think, sister?" the rat plant asked Clare, who looked confused. Her eyes went back and forth until she spoke up.
"Well, since Officer Watterson isn't home, can you invite us so we can get to know both of you better?" Clare smiles unsurely. Aphrodite blinks her eyes and the "eyes" in her hair.
"Okay, you all can come." The rat plant said, her tail wagging like a dog, and she smiled as she went outside with William on her head to wait for the four kids.
The four of them sighed with relief from that.
"That was easier than expected." Carrie
"Well, she was a mindless animal a week ago. She won't be a supercomputer genius in just a few days." Clare
"So now we're going to Gumball's house(weakly) yay." Darrel.
"Why are you guys so upset at going to someone's house? It's like it's haunted or-." Ocho's sentence is cut short in the next scene when they are dropped off the bus. Aphrodite, Carrie, Clare, Darrel, Ocho, and William arrive at the Watterson home.
~Watterson Home
"When the five children arrived at the house, they were terrified. The sound of thunder and ominous music playing only when they looked directly at the house made it seem scarier than any haunted house they had ever seen. All of them, except for Ocho, who couldn't hear the music, were creeped out by the house. Aphrodite approached the front door to open it, while William was the only one who wasn't scared. He was happy to see the house."
"Come on, guys. Let's go inside." William is cheerful as he flies toward it, and the other four slowly walk toward it.
"Don't go on the lawn. There are landmines under it," Aphrodite warns them, but this causes them to run towards the house, away from the lawn. Aphrodite and the five kids behind her open the door with her key. She waved to them to come in. William enters the house first, and the other four reluctantly follow him inside.
Upon entering the residence, the group of five children was struck by the sophisticated decor. The living area featured a plush couch and an impressive flat-screen TV, while a grand staircase led to the upper levels. The adjacent room boasted a fully equipped kitchen and a tasteful dining table. However, despite the opulent furnishings, an unsettling atmosphere pervaded the home. Aphrodite carefully wiped her feet on the doormat to avoid dirtying the pristine floors, as Nicole had instructed the others to do before entering.
"I'll go make tea for everyone." Aphrodite then ran to the kitchen to make some drinks for the guests in her house. The five children huddled in a circle and kept their voices low so the rat wouldn't hear them.
"Okay, let's search around this house for Bobert. But one of us has to keep Aphrodite busy. One, two, three, not me." Carrie quickly said this.
"Not it." Clare
"Not it." Ocho
"Not it." William
"Not I- ah dang it." Darrel groans in disappointment.
Four kids left Darrel behind and headed upstairs to the house. In the kitchen, Aphrodite asked Darrel about his tea preferences while the hot dog checked that the rat hadn't added any poison or drugs to the drinks.
~Elmore Stadium
The cheerleaders of Elmore Jr High Ducks were performing their routine, which consisted of forming a human pyramid. Masami charges at them, intending to be at the top of the pyramid.
Carmen was about to grab Masami to form the top. She lost focus when she saw Gumball, who had just arrived at the stadium. Carmen has seen his emerald-colored eyes. Her eyes glittered when she saw them.
As a result, Masami crashed into her, causing a chain reaction that led to the pyramid's collapse, with all the girls and Leslie falling to the ground. Leslie broke his pot, and Molly, Masami, and Carmen had some bruises. Sarah broke her cone, Penny broke her limbs, but her shell was delicate, and Teri landed on Carmen's head and got shredded, injuring the whole team and causing an explosion.
"I'm here to pick up an order for Yoshida?" Gumball acted as if the explosion had not happened at all. Masami floats up to him with an angry face, then snatches her food and drink from him and starts drinking it.
"You need to pay for the." The cabbit gets hit with her debit card in the face.
"(Muffled) Thanks."
Penny gets up, reaches her limbs, and ensures her shell doesn't crack. But then he hears Masami with Teri yelling at Gumball, who just scanned her debit card and returned it to the cloud. The cat electrifies himself with his skeleton, showing his finger bones have teeth. Then, he gets slapped by Teri, but since she is made of paper, he barely feels it.
"(In Thought) Oh, great, it's Gumball again. I swear he's worse than Tobias." Penny, whose eyes glow yellow, glared at Cabbit, wearing the Elmore cafe uniform.
"Watterson, what's with the getup?" The peanut girl approaches the Cabbit, who turns his head to see her.
"I acquired a job at Elmore Cafe to pay off the damages. It also seems that you did something with your hair?" Though she was wearing the Elmore cheerleader uniform like the other girls, he noticed that she still had her five eyes and now dark brunette hair on her head.
"That's none of your business, Gumball. When you said by "damages," that means we have to thank you for destroying the mall yesterday." Her six arms folded together while glaring at him.
"Why would you thank me for destroying property? And the mall is not destroyed. It's just the parking lot that is."
"Shut up." This causes the Cabbit to be quiet, but he notices the others and Leslie surrounding him, each giving him a menacing stare. This was about to get very intense, but Gumball looked more confused as Penny was close to his face furiously with the Cabbit, then glared at her to match hers. But before anything was about to happen, Carmen stood right before the two, killing the icy atmosphere.
"Uh, hey, Snowball, I mean Gumball. That's what I was going to say." Carmen said this with her arm on her back. Then Gumball's ears went up, and his face reddened when he saw her in the cheer uniform.
"(squeak) Carmen!" He steps back with a timid expression. Penny needed clarification on this and gave Carmen some space.
"So what happened at the mall?" Carmen asked the Cabbit.
"Well...I was there with my mom and sister to get her supplies and clothes for school."
"You have a sister?" Molly
"I thought you told us that besides that woman. You had a Venus fly trap for a pet." Leslie
"Last week, she evolved into an albino rat/plant hybrid. It took a bit to get used to, but she has now learned to speak in full sentences."
"Yeah, I saw her at my house. She gets along with my little siblings. She was kinda like a wild animal than a person." Carmen
"So what happened next?" Teri
"Those guys who we fought last week escaped from jail and tried to attack me. But I ensured to get them all outside and away from the mall to cause the least damage."
"Least amount of damage?" The parking lot looks like a warzone after that fight." Masami
"Wait, they got out of jail and attacked you?" Carmen
"Yes, though I did put up a fight with them, but they overpowered me until Aphrodite arrived, which then we barely managed to take them out by exploiting their weaknesses." Gumball.
"You took out Julius's gang like they were nothing but eight guys from Carmen's old school managed almost to take you down?" Penny asked.
"Julius and his gang were normal thugs that picked on people weaker than them. Carmen's former classmates had stan-". Carmen then covers his mouth.
"The former student council from my old school got some superpowers. But I heard afterward they got arrested again. Was that true?" Carmen asked.
"Yes, Mom took them all down when they were trying to attack again; she hogtied their pieces and threw them in jail," Gumball explained.
"Okay, then, but that doesn't change my opinion of you. You finished the order and explained what happened, so why don't you return to work or whatever you're working at?" Penny said.
"I just finished my shift, so I was heading home." Gumball is about to leave, but Carmen stops him.
"We were going to finish our routine. We all have been working hard on it, and we don't mind if someone saw it before the big game. Since you're here, how about you stay a bit until we finish our routine?" The image of Carmen in his mind was her in the cheer uniform, her hair in buns, blushing nervously, trying not to look at him.
"Okay, I'll stay for a bit," Gumball says squeaky and runs to the stadium's stands. Carmen smiles while Penny looks annoyed.
"Can't believe how much that guy turns into putty in your hands." Penny with her six arms folded.
"Huh? What are you talking about?" Carmen looked confused as she emerged from her daze.
"Nevermind. Let's just finish the damn routine." Penny walks to the center of the stadium as Carmen gets a whistle and blows it.
"Alright, team! Get back to work!" Carmen, going to drill, Sergeant shouted as the cheer team started to follow as they began the routine.
~Watterson Home
"You look around the room, and I'll check his bed." Clare opens Gumball's door to his and Aphrodite's room.
"Got it," said William, looking around the tidy, well-organized room. He was surprised to see some items that belonged to the rat plant, which now had a bunk bed that had been recently made.
Clare then finds Gumball's notebook titled "Note Book" on his shelf and starts reading it. One chapter was about his first trick-or-treating at four with his mom holding Aphrodite. It was a voice-over.
"When I got to the first house and said those words, this stranger in his house gave me some candy. I got upset after this because I didn't particularly appreciate going to a stranger's house and demanding sweets like a beggar. Then I wanted to return home and never go trick or treating again."
"Another holiday was Christmas when I was three and still at the Robertsons' house. Something came down the chimney, and I was quiet as a rat. When it came out, I attacked it from behind until it was unconscious. I thought it was Santa, but it was a giant goat man wearing a Santa mask. The year after that, a smaller goat Grinch now haunts me during Christmas Eve through New Year."
"Did you guys find anything?"Ocho arrives as the door opens, seeing the duo Clare on Gumball's bed and William on the computer desk.
"No, all the writing in this notebook is all gibberish and badly crude drawings. " Clare shows the pages of precisely that. An image of some weird Grinch gremlin with goat eyes with the words avoid at all cost on it.
"It's a Good thing I heard the voice, though." Clare then closed the book and tossed it to the bed.
"Besides the cacti images and spiky objects, I couldn't find anything on his computer." When he clicks out of the computer, he sees a screen of Gumball with William, Clare, Carrie, and Darrel in jail.
"Aw". William, after seeing the screen cover.
"Weren't you supposed to be with Carrie?" Clare asked the eight-bit spider.
"She wanted to enter his mother's room, but I told her I would stay outside and keep watch—Ocho with his eye looking left and right.
"So you chicken out." Clare is lying on Gumball's bed with a yawn.
"I'm no chicken! Have you seen what that woman can do if she finds out one of us entered her room?" He grabs Clare by the collar, his face furious as he shakes her back and forth. Clare tries to apologize and pleads to stop being shaken. William rolls one eye as he looks at Gumball's computer for more information on Aphrodite's internet history.
Meanwhile, Carrie enters her room through Gumball's mom's door. The room itself is very messy and filled with tons of papers, a queen-sized bed with a stand, a lamp that has a flickering light, a dart board with her parents' faces on it, a bathroom in there, and a fan on the ceiling filled with some of her clothes on the fans. There were photos, but they seemed to be scattered around the room.
"Geez, this room is depressing. But I have to find those blueprints." Carrie then swoops down and looks around the room.
As she picks up some papers from the ground, she reads aloud some of the disturbing headlines: "Explosion at Chanex Corp caused by and claimed the life of lazy local man Richard Watterson," "Laws of physics no longer holding up as everything cracks and static comes out," "Joanna Watterson found murdered in her home," "Rabbit killer remains at large," "Victims of murders missing their feet," and "Receipt from Beseford morgue with one free funeral coupon."
"Well, there's nothing important here but a free coupon for a funeral."Carrie then sees something near the bed, floats towards the stand with a picture frame, and picks it up.
"What's this?" Carrie looks carefully at the photo and sees a younger version of Doctor Watterson. Who was smiling as someone's arm was behind her, and she hugged another person in the photo?
"Is that his mom? I never knew she could be happy, but who's the other guy?" Her eyes then looked further at the photo and saw a fat rabbit/rat hybrid-like creature smiling. He looked almost like a rabbit, but his ears were rounder, his nose was longer, and he had a rattail with a cotton ball at the tip of the tail like a rat.
"So this guy must be Gumball's dad." As she squinted her eyes to get a closer look, she suddenly heard a girlish scream coming from downstairs.
As she was holding a photo, she suddenly got startled by something and ended up dropping the photo. She then quickly rushed out of the room. Just as she was leaving, she saw Clare, William, and Ocho coming out of Gumball's room. At the same time, she heard a scream from upstairs. Clare, who was running down the stairs, tripped and fell, swearing loudly and hitting her face on the floor. Upon arriving in the kitchen, the group found Aphrodite had just finished preparing tea. However, they also noticed Darrel screaming and rolling around on the floor.
"What Happened!?" Ocho shouts at Aphrodite, who is blinking with her "eyes" on her hair also blinked.
"I made chai for all of you, then spilled hot water on the hot dog guy's face, and he started screaming. I gave him a towel to cool off, but it was covered in hot water." Aphrodite.
"(Wailing and squealing)It BURNS!" Darrel, rubbing his face, grabs Clare's jacket to rub his face with. After he fished it, the annoyed girl squeezes her jacket to dry and get the hot dog sweat off it. Then she hits him in the face for taking it, knocking him down with an ow. Aphrodite handed them the tray with tea in the cups and took them.
"Hold on, you didn't put any poison or drugs in this tea." Clare is suspicious before she drinks it.
"Aphrodite did no such thing. You are all guests in our home," the rat plant said, slurping her tea and chugging it down.
"Right.." Clare then hears a sip sound as William drinks his.
"Nope, there's no poison in this." After hearing William say this, the others drank the chai tea except for Carrie, who couldn't drink it because she was a ghost. The boys seemed to be okay, as they didn't drop dead or anything. But Clare didn't want to take that chance. She pretended to drink hers, had a small sip, and gave Carrie the rest of it to her face, but it went through her, irritating the ghost.
"So where is Bobert? You told Carrie that you saw him in your house?" Ocho asked the rat plant, who nodded.
"He's in the basement." Aphrodite then runs on all four to show them in the basement.
"They have a basement?" Darrel.
"All homes have basements." Carrie.
"Mine doesn't." William sounds jealous.
The five kids follow Aphrodite to the basement door after she rips off the wall to reveal a door that opens to stairs leading into a dark abyss. Not helping is that Aphrodite's face is covered in shadows with her glowing red eyes on her hair and eyes as she tells them to enter.
Although they were hesitant, they slowly descended the stairs one by one. William was in front of the line and was the most joyful, Carrie was next up, Ocho, being a bit nervous, was in the middle, Clare went downstairs with a worried look of fear, and Darrel was the most scared at the end of the line.
~ Elmore Streets
Carmen and Gumball were walking home when the weather suddenly changed every few minutes. First, it was snowing; then, it got hot with the sun setting on rooftops that seemed to be on fire. Leaves started falling as the wind blew, and hail the size of minivans began to pour down. Despite all this, they kept walking, ignoring the chaotic weather in the background. But then it started raining, and Carmen didn't have an umbrella, so she swelled up. Gumball gave her his watermelon-themed umbrella so that she wouldn't get wet. However, Carmen was grumpy and kept a bit of distance from Gumball.
"Are you feeling alright? You seemed to be angry?" Gumball avoided eye contact, which caused the cactus to get her mind off her thoughts.
"Oh, it was nothing about you if you were thinking about that. "She shifts her eyes away from him.
"(Mumbling) Damn it, Teri!" Carmen's face was red as a tomato.
Teri believes Gumball should walk Carmen home with cheerleaders, except Penny agrees with her idea—except for Penny, who doesn't trust Gumball. It was also a coincidence that their houses were just one street away, which neither knew about until now. As they kept walking, Gumball had something on his mind.
"Carmen, Can I ask you something?" Gumball stopped in his tracks.
"What is it, Gumball?" Carmen turns her head to see him.
"It's about those former cyborgs who attacked us and my friends a week ago. They told us you used to be in the same school as them. Were they always like that, or did they become rotten by someone's influence?" Gumball did see Carmen was a bit uneasy answering his question.
"It must've been personal. I won't ask-"
"No, it's okay. When I first arrived at that school, I was very nervous. And if you didn't know, prone to anger. The student council was a bunch of delinquents, and I joined their gang and formed a relationship with a fire extinguisher. I think I went a bit overboard and got into many fights and a bit of vandalism. Plus, my grades were terrible. The teachers were very useless against the violent behavior of everyone. I was a thug getting the nickname Della La Fuego." Carmen feels a bit ashamed of that but continues the story.
"There was this creep who looked like a can with E on his head and kept flirting with me. I rejected him, kicked his ass after he tried to get me to go out with him, and got expelled after multiple attempts at going after the other girls in school, including teachers. But then, after a few days, the school superintendent showed up; unlike the rest of us, he was a human named Judge D Moreau."
"What does the D stand for?"
"Dennis."
"The Menace?"
"Exactly, he had two new students arrive. One calls himself Kopie, who elected himself the student council president, and another named Breaker. Both viewed our school as too cartoonish and got new rules for the school to follow. I was suspicious of their behavior. But, one by one, they fixed the students into humans. I didn't follow, so I got bullied for not confirming the new rules. Getting isolated caused me to get worse, so I wanted to drop out until I met you, and you know the rest from there." Carmen spinning the umbrella, getting the rain out.
"I did get lost that day, mistook you for a boy, and then you sent me flying." Gumball scratched his right arm in embarrassment after thinking about that. "Sorry," Gumball replied but felt something next to him with the umbrella covering him and the cactus girl with a big smile.
"You don't have to apologize for it. It's because of that day. I remember it fondly, but I wanted to punch your lights out whenever I saw you."
"It's okay. A lot of people usually say that, although they do try to kill me afterward." Gumball is saying that deadpan.
Carmen laughed at this, but Gumball wondered why she had started laughing after he had said that.
"I didn't know you had a sense of humor." Carmen
"I..don't," Gumball answered with the cactus still laughing at this as her mouth showed two fangs in her mouth.
"Also, that one time with those hummingbirds," Carmen said while giggling at the memory.
"You kicked me in the shin, and the cage broke. Then those birds attacked me. But it was worth it to see you smile." Gumball's face was monotone, but then they smiled.
The two kids walked until they reached Carmen's street and stood before her house. As Carmen was about to go to her home, she returned to Gumball and hugged him, surprising the Cabbit. He froze with his tail and ears up. The cactus rubbed her face on his chest, mirroring what he did to calm her down.
"See you tomorrow." She lets go of him, smiles, and sees a flower bud on her branches. Carmen then runs to her house, waving goodbye.
As Gumball walks home after saying goodbye to Carmen, he is unexpectedly confronted by someone who tries to push him to the ground. However, the attacker fails to carry out their plan and instead falls face-first onto the pavement. It is then revealed that the person is none other than Penny Fitzgerald.
"Did you follow us to Carmen's house?" Gumball asked the five-eyed peanut girl, bending down to see her.
"No, I used the Force to teleport myself and ended up before you," Penny replied sarcastically. She got up from the ground and brushed some dirt off her clothes.
"So, it was just a coincidence, then?" Gumball sounded bored, and his voice became monotone. He did not look at the angry peanut girl.
"OF COURSE I WAS FOLLOWING BOTH OF YOU!" Penny shouted at him. Her eyes were glowing yellow, but Gumball wasn't fazed by it.
"I just talked to her and then dropped her off at home. Nothing else happened, I assure you. If you'll excuse me, I must return before Aphrodite gets upset and starts eating the..." Gumball was interrupted by Penny, who shouted at him.
"Oh no, you're not leaving before I finish yelling at you!" Just as Penny was about to scream, a girlish scream was heard, and Gumball turned his head towards the source of the noise. Realizing where it was coming from, he ran off, causing some cars to flip after he rammed through them.
"HEY, COME BACK HERE, YOU GLUTE LORD! YOU GOOF WIZARD! YOU DORK PILOT! YOU DOPE SANDWICH! YOU...FOOL...TACO! YOU MEAT MUFFIN..." Penny chased after him, still shouting at the top of her lungs.
But as the two run away, a stone ball with a goofy smile transforms into a statue bucket of fried chicken with a mustache. Then, it changes back into ball form, riding on top of a police car.
~Street Near Watterson Home
Gumball and Penny arrive in front of his house. Penny looks exhausted after running after and screaming at Gumball.
"You slack-jawed slime nugget. You-[Sighs]I think that's all I've got." Penny is out of breath as she tries to get some air.
"You seemed too exhausted from running." Gumball looks at Penny. She's still angry and then exhales sharply.
The two turned their heads and saw Darrel jumping out of the window of the Watterson home with Clare, Carrie, Ocho, William, and Aphrodite. Although Aphrodite looked scared, she still followed them. They all tripped and fell unconscious. Aphrodite ended up on top of them.
"What the heck is that thing!?" Penny shouts as she points one arm to Aphrodite. She blinks her eyes and then chews a bit of her hair.
"My sister. She used to be my plant pet with arms a week ago." The Cabbit points to Aphrodite and then waves. Exhausted, Penny looks at him again.
"Stay away from Carmen or else." She then storms off and zooms out to see that her house is across the street from his as she slams the door. Gumball rolled his eyes.
"Or else what?" he asked. He looked at Aphrodite, who didn't know what was going on. She shrugged off. The Cabbit then saw the group of his friends start waking up and got up.
"What are you all doing in my house?" Gumball is confused about why his friends are at his home.
"I invited friends after they asked about Boobert." The rat plant responds to her brother.
"Bobert? Why do all think he would be in my house?" Gumball's friends then talked at the same time.
"Yes, but I think she kept it hidden for some reason—probably to replace the cops," Darrel said.
"It was almost like a mini factory. Filled with corpses filled with blueprints of a robot." Carrie replied.
"It's filled with skeletal robots that look like your mom, and one came to life and chased us!" Clare screamed.
"It was amazing! I was like I was in an abandoned warehouse." William said.
"It was as if I came out of a horror game filled with animatronics," Ocho responded.
"Where was the factory in my house?"
" IN YOUR BASEMENT!" Carrie, Clare, Darrel, Ocho, and William shouted. Gumball, more confused, then turned to Aphrodite.
"We have a basement?" Gumball asked the rat plant.
"Yes." Aphrodite nods.
Then, a screeching noise is heard, like a robotic animatronic that looks like a cat with two eyes and razor-sharp teeth, without a lower body, crawling out of the house. Its glowing eyes see the seven kids in front of the house charge at them, and they all scream except for Gumball and Aphrodite. It jumps to pounce on them with its claws. Just as the claws are close to Gumball's face, the robot is stopped in mid-air, unleashing a dying screech as it dies. The kids are confused about what happened as Nicole appears out of nowhere with her hand through the cat robot. Nicole then discards the robot to the side of the entrance to her house. She glares at the seven kids, looking down at them.
"Mum, I only invite friends for it." Aphrodite is cut short of her sentence.
"You are not to allow anyone besides me and your brother to my house. You go to live the living and wait for dinner; after that, you're grounded." Nicole points to Aphoripte, who whimpers as she runs on all fours to the house. The older cat then looks at her son.
"Did you any of this?"
"...No." Gumball was honestly telling her.
"Then bring the scrap metal back to the house; you're not in trouble...for now," Nicole orders Gumball. As he enters the house, Gumball grabs the robot and drags it away, positioning the corpse to look like someone who doesn't want to be pulled away.
Nicole starts to follow her children to the house but then sees the other five kids.
"Was the robot Bobert?" Clare
"...No, it was a prototype," Nicole replies coldly.
"Aphrodite said you had Bobert in your house. What are you planning to do with him?" Carrie
"Unlike the rest of you, that robot is replaceable." Nicole
"Are the robots in the factory going to take my Dad's job?" Darrel concerned.
"What I'm working on will not affect Earl's or Clancy's positions in the force. If you have no further questions, I advise you to speak about what you have seen. Be very lucky I'm in a decent mood, but there will be dire consequences if I catch any of you trespassing in my house." Nicole glares at them as she closes the door.
The kids were silent as they showed fear of the blue cat. William, on the other hand.
"What a nice lady." As if he could smile right now, Willaim would be a huge grin as the other four looked confused.
~Dinner Table
It was a tranquil dinner, as Nicole ate ham and vegetables she had made with her kids. The TV was on with the Elmore news talking about the weather or something, but as she was eating the carrots, she looked at her phone. The numbers were of work people and the home school teacher, but then she got a call from Earl. She swallowed her food and then answered the phone.
"What is it?"
"Doc, it's an emergency, so get to the police station." Erl sounds like he's panicking.
"Did you all run out of doughnuts again? If that's the case, calm down and eat Clancey."
"No, that happened last Tuesday. It's the Chief Sanders."
"The Fried Chicken Corneal?"
"Yes, our boss."
"Did he change his mind on kicking the Fitzgeralds outta town?"
"No, But we need to talk about this issue you have with them later."
"(Sigh) Fine, but did he change his mind about my blueprints?"
"Nicole Cheif Sanders Is Dead!" Earl shouts at the speaker, Nicole looking stunned by this call. Gumball has his ear up, and Aphrodite pits out her food.
"...what?" Nicole tried to understand what he just said to her.
