Chapter 3: The Royal Blacksmiths and the Green Ninja (Family Reunion/Argument)
Cinder woke up and stretch, and grumbled. Lately he's been doing the same over and over: get up, go to school, watch his dad's practices, go home, do homework, and sleep, repeat. Today thought, something else was going on. His dad was excited for some reason, and decided not to ask him. Today, when school was over for the day he went to the studio and noticed that his dad wasn't there, so he headed home. Once he got home and open the front door, he sees his dad in the living room cleaning up, excitement on his face. Cinder ask him why he's so happy.
"Your brother's coming home son, I'm excited for what he learned at." Lou said
Cinder was surprised, his brother is finally coming home? He was happy, but have mixed feelings on this. He was happy for him to come home, but why now? It has been a few years since he last seen his brother. He shooked his head and went to do homework, ate a piece of raw meat, and took a shower. He read a book on the history on a race of snakes called Serpentine. He then said good night to his dad and went to sleep.
"Cole better has a reason why he hasn't spoken or visit me or dad." Cinder thought as he fell asleep

Cole sat at the table in the bridge of the Bounty with the others. Trying to figure out how to stop Pythor from unleashing the Great Devourer. They were all looking at a hologram of a Fang Blade.
"They got the first one, but there are three more, and we just need one to stop Pythor. They have a map, and we don't, so the question remains: how are we gonna find them first?" Said Nya
"I still can't get over the fact that you were the mysterious Samurai. Is anyone else blown away like I am?" Said Jay, awe on his face
"We're over that. Can we move on?" Kai said, annoyed
"Someone's a little hot under the collar." Jay said gibberish
"It appears his impatience is because he has not found inner peace and unlocked his full potential like you and I have, Jay." Said Zane. Cole sigh, he wonders why Kai is being like this. He is the serious guy in the team with super strength. Even though he was scared of some stuff. But looked at the blade and wondering why it looks so familiar. Then realization came through his thoughts.
"I remember where I saw this before."
"Great observation, Mr. Roboto, but Cole hasn't found it either" Kai saids
"I got it" Cole said in triumph
"You've unlocked it? Oh, why am I the only one!?" Kai said in dismay
"No, I figured out where I recognized the Fangblade from. I have a picture of it." Cole said and went to grab his photo album. Running back to the shared bedroom he grabs the album and returns to the bridge.
"I got it!" He said and open up his photo album, flips through the pages, and found what he was looking for.
"Back where I grew up, there's this pretty big competition where every year the winner gets the Blade Cup. My dad's won it multiple times." He said, remembering the good memories of his father at a younger age.
"You never told us your dad was an accomplished athlete. What sport?" Zane asked, curious
"Oh, h-he's a, uh...a blacksmith." Colesaid nervously
"Nothing wrong with that. My father was a blacksmith, too. But I've never heard of a competition—" said Kai but Cole cut him off
"That's because he's not a "blacksmith" blacksmith. He's a...Royal Blacksmith." Cole said and turned a page of his album to show them a picture of his dad. Everyone snickers.
"That's your dad?" Said Jay, still snickering
"But how did the Fangblade become a trophy?" Kai said
"Well, supposedly, the Blade Cup was made by this guy who collected priceless artifacts. His name was something like, uh, Dutch...no, Clutch. Clutch Powers! Anyway, it gets passed on to each year's winner."
"Who has it now?" Zane asks
"I don't know. I haven't talked to my father in years." Cole said
"Well then, we'll call him up." Kai said
"You can't! He thinks I'm in Ninjago City training at the Marty Oppenheimer School of Performing Arts." Cole groans and walks over to the wheel "He wanted me to follow in his footsteps. But when I couldn't sing or dance, well I...I ran away. When he sees I can't dance, he'll know I've been lying in all the letters I've been sending him."
"He doesn't know you're a ninja?" Zane questioned
"What? You gonna crack some joke that my old man wears a tutu?" Cole said, defensively
"No, but if we're going to have any chance at getting that Fangblade before they do, we better get our own act in tune." Said Kai
"Yeah, you're right" sigh "Well, I'm going to lay down and take a nap." Cole said, and left the bridge to his bed. He thought of what his brother's reaction will be.
"He would be angry with me not coming to see him and dad, but mostly him. Oh! The others don't even know that I have a sibling. Wonder what their reactions will be?"
—5 days Later—
Cinder slowly woke up from sleeping, looking out the window, he sees the sun slowly rising up from the east. Then he remembers that today, his brother was coming home from school. He growl in annoyance, knowing that today was going to be long. He then got out of bed, went to the bathroom, and padded his way to the kitchen. His dad was in there making breakfast for the two.
"Morning son"
"Morning dad, what's you making?" Cindersaid curiously, smelling out what was in the pans and pots.
"Oh. pancakes, sausages, and hash browns." Lou said
"Mhh..." Cinder moan in delight, the smell was making his stomach growl. A few mins later, his dad serve breakfast and eat in peace. They finished eating and put the dishes in the sink. Cinder then heads to the back door, thinking of doing some exercising, turning his head towards his dad.
"I'm going outside for some exercising, shout my name when they are here." He said, and went outside.
He first started by stretching his muscles for what's going to be happening. First was pushups, then pull-ups, planking, and finally jumping jacks. Ext up was running: running for 45 mins, a quick breather, and practicing his reflexes. A hour and half has past, and then heard his dad call out to him. Stopping, he took a few seconds to calm his breathing down and walk back to the house.
As Cinder walk towards the house he hear something loud. Looking around, he tried to find where the noise was coming from. He then looked up and his eyes widen when he found where the sound was coming from. It was a flying ship! Cinder was amazed but confused of why it was there. He can see people on the edge of the ship, seeing four man up there. Then to his horror the four man jump off the ship free falling with no parachutes. He panicked, wondering who could save them from their fate, but suddenly there was a flash and the four were in vehicles. He was in shock seeing that happening.
"What in Ninjago was that!? I thought those four were going to die. But then they have vehicles all of a sudden? I better get a closer look and hope that they won't cause trouble." He thought and ran over to the house. Jumping up onto the roof, he ran across it and got to his little secret spot to relax from his dad and waited.
The four vehicles landed and suddenly disappeared, and the four man appear, each carrying a weapon in their hands. Cinder recognize one of them being his brother. He was taller now, with shaggier hair and a lot of muscle on him, and wearing black jeans with a black hoodie. But what Cole was carrying caught his attention. In his hands was a big golden scythe with the blade in the shape of a dragon's head.
"Wow, what a pretty scythe! But why is he bringing that with him? Did he take lessons in self-defense? But... my brother won't do something like this. Also why are the other three carrying weapons as well? I'll questioned Cole when it's me and him." He thought
Cinder looked at the other three guys. The second guy coming up to his brother has orange ginger hair with blue eyes. He was wearing blue jeans and white t-shirt under a blue hoodie. He was carrying golden nunchucks with the chain made out of pure lightning.
The next two guys were also giving his brother their weapons to him as well. The guy with the pair of shurikens has a almost white army-cut hairstyle and wearing kanji jeans and a white sweater. The last guy with the sword have brown hair that was styled with spikes and a lot and he means a LOT of hair gel, and brown eyes. He was wearing black jeans with a dark red hoodie over a red shirt with a emblem of a lion with flames on the top of its head. He listened to what they were talking about.
"Alright, hand them over." Said Cole
"Ah-uh. But no mortal shall possess all four." Said the ginger male, chuckling before giving his brother the Nunchucks
"Very funny." Said Cole, with a annoyed expression
"You wanna remind me again why we can't keep our weapons?" Said the brown-haired male, as both he and the white-headed male give my brother their weapons as well.
"I told you, my dad can't find out I'm a ninja. And I don't feel like making up excuses why I'm carrying a giant scythe around with me. Just remember the plan: we find out who has the Fangblade trophy, we snatch it, and then we get the heck out of town." Cole saids as he knocks on the door. Cinder was confused
"Uhhhhhh... why is Cole wanting to steal the Blade Cup? Why's he saying he's a ninja. I never seen or heard him do anything like that in the letters he sends to dad. Is he lying to dad about this the entire time? If so, he's in a load of trouble if dad finds out." Ne thought
Cinder waited till they went inside, then ran across the roof and back to the back door. Jumping down to the ground, he went inside and walked towards the living room. Slowly, he crept behind the couch and waited for them to be surprised.

Standing on the deck with his teammates, Cole was nervous looking down at the village below. Wondering what could happen here today. Then he jumped off, the others following, Golden Weapon in their hands. Scythe in his hand. They free fall towards the ground.
"Woo-hoo!" Kai said
"Yeah, wooo!" Jay said
Using their Golden Weapons into their vehicle form to land safely. Cole opens up an instrument case.
"Alright, hand them over." He said
"Ah-uh. But no mortal shall possess all four." Said Jay, as he chuckles before giving Cole the Nunchucks of Lightning.
"Very funny." Cole said, annoyed
"You wanna remind me again why we can't keep our weapons?" Kai said as he and Zane give him their weapons as well.
"I told you, my dad can't find out I'm a ninja. And I don't feel like making up excuses why I'm carrying a giant scythe around with me. Just remember the plan: we find out who has the Fangblade trophy, we snatch it, and then we get the heck out of town." Cole said and knocks on the door. Hearing something up above and looks and sews nothing but look back at the door.
"Just a moment." Cole heard his dad said as he opens the door.
"Hey, dad. How long has it been?"
"What? You too good for the doorbell?" Lou saids sternly and slams the door on us.
"Uh..."
"Use the bell, son." Lou said and Cole did so. The doorbell say out loud "Welcome" and the door opens again.
"Haha. Come on in, son. It's been forever. What did you bring? A quartet? Come in, come in. I've got a kettle of lemon honey tea on the stove right now." Saids Lou as he led them inside.
A gramophone plays some background music. After being seated, Cole groaned.
"Did my son tell you I broke my foot? It was the cha-cha but I swear the percussionist had it in for me." Said Lou
"No, dad. I didn't tell them about your silly stories."
"Silly stories?" Said Lou
"Oh, what he meant was, we've been busy training at the...uh..." said Kai, trying to remember what the school's name.
"Uh, the Martha Oppenheimer. Yeah." Jay saids, saving Kai from messing our plan.
Background music suddenly stops.
"Martha Oppenheimer?" Lou said, suspicious
"What he's trying to say is the Marty Oppenheimer School of Performing Arts." Said Zane, saving the plan from failure
"Right! Well, um, see, we have this final research paper we're doing on the history of Ninjago talent, and what we really wanted to know was how can we get our hands on the Blade Cup?" Cole said to his dad
"You're talking about getting your hands on the Blade Cup? The most prized and heavily guarded award in all of Ninjago, the symbol of excellence in harmony and grace? You can't just get it, you have to earn it. You have to exhibit style. Perfect pitch. Push the boundaries of artistic license and win this year's Ninjago Talent Show!" Said Lou
"Um, perhaps there's an easier way." Said Zane, unsure of the idea now
"Is this why you came? You knew I was injured and when my quartet insisted we shan't go on, you four have come to take our place! Haha, ingenious! My son, bringing forth the next evolution of the Royal Blacksmiths! Let me hear the sweet, sweet sound of harmony." Said Lou
"Harmony..." sang Jay
"Harmony..." Zane sang simultaneously to Jay
"Harmony..." Kai sang simultaneously with Zane and Jay
As the harmony dies down, Cole groans and his dad cringes.
"Look, dad. We just need the trophy."
" Yeah, we're bringing home the gold and-and we want you to train us." Kai said, shocking Cole of the idea.
"I've never been more proud. If you'll excuse me, I need to write a song about my feelings." Lou sniffed, and went to the bathroom. Cole turned to Kai
"What are you doing?" He said angrily
"Look, we enter this competition so we can get close enough to the Blade Cup. Once we get the Fangblade, we leave town. How hard can this be?" Said Kai
"Meh... alright, we'll do this, ok?" Cole said grudgingly
"Ok"
"Alright"
"Affirmative"
"Alright then." Cole said, then Lou reappear a few mins later from his tear up. He then look around, looking for something, or someONE.
"Cole, is Cinder in here? He was outside before you came. But I don't know where he's at." Lou said
"Who"s Cinder?" Said Kai
"Cinder is my adopted son and Cole's younger brother." Said Lou
"Wait wait... WHAT!? Cole, you have a brother? Why didn't you tell us about this. Especially since Kai has a sister." Jay said in surprise
"WHOA, Cole, you have a sibling as well? How old is he?" Kai said, also surprised
"This is a very interesting piece of info I haven't heard of Cole. Why didn't you tell us." Said Zane with curiosity on his face
"Cole? You didn't tell your friends about your brother, why?" Lou said, a bit unhappy
"I didn't want to tell them because of what Cinder is, trying to protect him and all. I also make no excuses of not writing to him. I haven't enough paper to use for writing letters, especially to you and Cin. I was also focused on my assignments to write any to Cinder." Cole said, guilt and regret in his gut, knowing that protecting Ninjago meant not easy assess to the mail. Lou's eyes softened of hearinghis son's explanation.
"Alright I understand Cole, but I don't know if Cinder will understand when you try to explain to him." Lou said
"I wonder where he is at?" Cole said but then felt something cold and sharp at his neck. He look down and saw a familiar golden scythe blade. The others moved back in surprise.
"Hi Cole" said a familiar voice. He feels the blade move away and he turn his head to see his draconian brother in all of his scaly glory. Kai, Jay, and Zane were surprise by this.
"Cole, this is your brother?" Zane said curiously
"You have a dragon as a brother! That's so cool man!" Jay said in excitement
"Ok Cole, that's impressive. I get why you didn't say anything about this. But how does he did get around town without getting spotted?" Kai said, impressed
"Hey Cinder, were you behind the couch the entire time?" Cole laughed as he hugged his brother
"Yeah, I heard the entire conversation between you and dad. I'll forgive you for not writing letters to me. But if you do something like this again, I'll head-butt you, understand?" Cinder said
"Don't worries bro, it won't happen again. I promise."
"Ok then." Cinder said and looked over at his brother's friends "Hello! Who are you three? Are they friends of yours by the way bro?" He ask, curiosity in his eyes
"Yes. Cinder this is Kai, Jay, and Zane. Guys, this is Cinder, my younger brother." Cole said
"Hello"
"Hey"
"Greetings"
"Hi" said Cinder, as he came around the couch and sat in the opposite couch. The others looked at his body and tail blade and then Lou came back with tea and sandwiches.
"Well, seems like my two sons have resolved their issues I see."
"Yes, we have" Cole and Cinder said
"Ok then, and to your question of how Cinder gets around Kai? Well.. Cinder can show you." Lou said
Kai asked what he meant but was cut off by a bright light. A few seconds later, the bright light was gone, and there in the dragonet's place was a young human boy at 5foot 2Inches, his age being 13 years old. He have green eyes with black hair, with a couple of his bangs being light purple and magenta red, signifying his draconian heritage. Kai was in shock seeing this.
"Ok, that is amazing! How long have you been able to do this?"
"Since I was a baby. No one knows what I am." Cinder said
"Ok then, well dad. Can you train us?" Cole questioned, changing the subject to the dance training
"Yes, of course" Lou said, and took them to his dance studio.
"Hopefully the serpentine won't realize that there's a Fang Blade as a trophy for a Talent Show." Cole thought, not knowing that the serpentine have noticed it and told it to Pythor.

Cinder watched as his dad train his brother and his friends. He was curious at what they're planning.
"Okay, from the top. Five, six, seven, eight." Lou said plays some keys on a piano.
"Bop till you drop." Sang Kai
"Shake it till you break it." Sang Jay
"Move it till you lose it." Sang Zane
"Spin it till you win it." Sang Cole
"Stop, stop. Ugh. If my ears weren't attached to my head, they'd be running away! Kai, love the energy, hate the hair." Said Lou and hits Kai on the head with his cane. Cinder sniggered at that remark.
"Aah!" Kai yup
"Jay, you're giving a lot, but I need more. Zane, you're like a machine. Don't change anything." Lou said, making Zane smirk. "And Cole, try to act like you wanna be here."
"He's worse than Sensei Wu." Whispered Jay, Cinder was even more confused. "what he's taking about.?" He though
"Okay, moving forward. Let's take a look at the big show-stopping climax. Cole, we can't have history repeating itself." Lou said
"Dad, it was the Triple Tiger Sashay. I was seven." Cole said. Cinder cringed, remembering that incident.
"What's the Triple Tiger Sashay?" Kai asked, confused
"Only the most difficult dance move ever created." Said Cole
"It's true. Many professionals have dare tried, but it's never been successfully completed." Lou explained
"Hence, my father thought a seven year-old could. But I ended up falling on my face, humiliating myself, and letting my quartet down." Said Cole, Cinder agreeing to his brother's argument, doing a very difficult dance move at 7 years old is hard and foolish.
"If you're going to win, you have to go big! Alright, time for a break. Take five." Lou said and went to get some water. Cinder got up and stretch his body. He look over and stare at his brother with suspicion. The others were nervous seeing him staring intensely at them. They move over to the other side of the studio and talk quietly.
"Uh, I'm starting to see why Cole is so closed off. It's cause twinkle-toes here couldn't deliver the goods. Is that why you ran away?" Jay said angrily
"Oh, I'll deliver the goods—look. I'll deal with my father and my brother, but let's stick with the plan. All we have to do is keep this charade long enough until we can get our hands on the trophy." Cole shot back
"I don't know. I'm starting to think we can win this thing. (Cole grunts at him.) Okay, okay. We'll stick to the plan." Jay said
Cinder listened to their conservation, them not knowing he can still hear them from that far with his hearing. He sat on his haunches and hummed to himself, enjoying how his brother and his friends were trying to sing and dance.

After 45 mins of his brother and his friends practicing in the studio. Lou told them that they can practice more outside while he gets them sign up for the contest. A few mins later Cole and the others were practicing outside. Cinder was laying down in the shade. Even though he's a dragon, sometimes he like to be in the shade to cool down from the heat.
"Bop till you drop." Sang Kai
"Shake it till you break it." Sang Jay
"Move it till you lose it." Sang Zane
"Spin it till you win it." Sang Cole
As he watch them practice, his thoughts were focusing on what info he heard of his brother's lies and his friends. "What in Ninjago is my brother hiding? First off was the flying ship, then vehicles they can summoned, then into weapons in draconian design, and Sensei Wu? I'm soooooooo going to ask him what he's been doing right now, because I'm 100% sure he's not learning at a dancing school."
Suddenly, Cinder heard voices coming over by the hills. He turn his head, and his eyes widened, seeing something that he heard about in the books he read. Serpentine! There was two serpentine standing there, one of them was blue with yellow scales on its front. It have a hood like a cobra, with yellow markings in a swirl, making it look so hypocritical. Its eyes were a red with a swirl as well, making them hypocritical as well. The other serpentine was purple with darker purple scales on its front, and a big crystal in the center of its chest with gold accents. It have a long neck and on its forehead were four more crystals and its eyes were a pinkish-red. Cinder was amazed, getting to see something from history were alive, but a little confuse of why these two were here, and that close to his home. He listen into their conversation.
"It'ssss here. I feel it." Say the blue serpent
"Calm down. There's no need to attract unwanted attention." The purple serpent said
"Look, the ninja." The blue serpent said again, and was pointing at Cole and his friends, who were practicing. Cinder was confused
"Ninja? What are they talking about, my brother isn't a ninja. But... it does make sense with what I heard and seen." He thought, and continued to listen to the conversation.
"Ugh, now there'ssss no chance to take it." Said the blue serpent, who was annoyed with expression on its face
"Patience. We're snakes, remember. They'll never see us coming. Hmmm."The purple serpent said, and it brought out a poster,and read it. "Open audition." It said, and chuckles and the two serpents left.
"What are they talking about? And what is 'it' they are trying to get? Is it the Blade Cup? It so, there must be some importance to it, but why? It's just a empty trophy... or is it? I want to know what these golden weapons that my brother and his friends brought. I can look at them while they aren't looking." Cinder thought, and walk away from the others to the "instrument case". He looked behind and notice his brother and the others not paying attention, and open up the case. His eyes lit up in astonishment of the weapons, and looking at them more closely were beautiful. Each weapon look so pretty even though each weapon is completely different. There was a scythe, a pair of shurikens, nunchucks, and a sword.
Cinder was thinking which weapon to touch first and decided on the scythe since his brother was carrying it. He was about to touch it when...
"Cinder!? What in Ninjago are you doing!?" Cole yelled
Cinder squeaked in surprise, hitting the case with his forelegs, knocking the weapons into the air and then a thump. He shook his head from what happened, and when he turn around and saw his brother and his friends coming towards me. Their faces show emotions of shock, concern, and worry while his brother has the same emotions as them, but fear was also on his face.
"Uh... why are you guys looking at me?" Cinder questioned, confused
"Cinder... look at yourself." Cole said nervously and... scared?
"Huh?" Cinder said, still confused and look. All four weapons were on his body or under a paw. He wonder why they are so worried about this.
"Why are you guys so worried? These are just ordinary weapons made out of gold, right?" He said
"I wish these are ordinary weapons, but they're not. What those weapons on your body are the Golden Weapons of Spinjitzu." Zane said calmly
Cinder was in shock, these weapons that the four have in their possession were the legendary weapons that created Ninjago. He was still confused. "Why are they so worried for the weapons. The weapons created Ninjago, I get that. But still, why are they worried?" He thought
"Wow... that's cool! But why are you guys worried? Is there something on them or what?" Cinder said, still confused of their reactions
"Unfortunately, there is a serious consequence with these weapons." Kai said with a concerned look
"And that no mortal can hold all four weapons at once..." Jay said with a mourn look
"And be forever gone from existence." Zane finished grimly
"What!? You're joking?" Cinder shouted, about ready to panic and heart starting to pound
"Yes bro, I wish I could explain myself about us having them. But it seems like we won't get to... to..." Cole said, his voice cracking and tears were streaming down his face.
Cinder look down at his paws, thinking of how his life is going to end, all because of his curiosity go tne better of him. But he noticed something; something was building up within him, feeling him up full of energy. Then the Golden Weapons started to glow; Cole, Kai, Jay, and Zane were surprised of this.
"Woah!? Cole! What's going on here man?" Jay shouted
"I don't know Jay! I never seen this happen before." Cole shouted back
Cinder watched in amazement and astonishment as Fire, Lightning, Ice, and Earth swirled around me. Then he was raise off the ground and was floating in the air. The four elements were swirling faster and faster around the dragonet. Cinder was getting scared of this and he wanted it to stop.
"Please! Please stop! I don't want to die. I want this to end now. I want to live to see my brother." Cinder thought as tears started coming out my eyes and began to cry
"Calm your mind young dragon." A mysterious voice said in his mind
"What!?... who are you? Where are you? What do you want from me?" Cinder thought
"Don't panic, I'm not here to harm you or your brother. Even though he should of kept contact with you. As to what I am, I am the Chronicler young dragon." Said the voice
"The Chronicler? Why are you here in my mind?" Cinder questioned
"To help you understand what you are. Where you came from, the dragons there were powerful and knowledgeable with their elemental breaths. But you, like your father, are a purple dragon. A dragon that can control the four elements: Fire, Electricity, Ice, and Earth. Like your brother said with those weapons, no one can wield all four at once. But as a purple dragon they won't harm you. You also have 4 more elements that are from your mother as well allowing you to have 8 elemental breaths." Chronicler said
"Ok. But I don't know how to control them. There's so much power going through me" Cinder thought
"That's why I'll help you to control them, so that you'll be able to contain it. But you'll need to practice using them since the weapons awaken your elemental breaths."
"Ok" Cinder thought and waited for his instruction
"Let yourself calm and focus. Look deeply inside yourself. Find where your core's at." Chronicler said. Cinder focus on calming down. Once he did, he concentrated on where his core's at. A few seconds later he found it. It was a translucent purple and egg-shaped.
"Found it." He said
"Good, now focus on controlling them. Force it to slow down and stop. You are in control and have the will to contain them or release." Chronicler said. Cinder touch his core and focused. It was really hard, trying to make it slow down was like grasping sand through your hands (or paws). Then slowly, the flow of energy started to slow down, and a few seconds later, it stopped. He breath a sigh of relief and was mentally exhausted from that. The Chronicler was very happy for his accomplishment.
"Good job young dragon! You're a quick learner, just like your father." He said with pride in his voice
"Thank you for helping me with this. I'm so tired right now from all of this." Cinder said
"That's how most young dragons are when they learn to control their element for the first time. In time you'll be able to handle if more each time you'll do it. But for now, I believe your brother and friends are waiting for you." Chronicler said and chuckled
"Yeah, your right." Cinder thought and before he left his mind, he remembered to ask he Chronicler where he came from. But the Chronicler spoke up.
"I know that you want to know who your parents are? Unfortunately, as the Chronicler I can't say anything or else the future will change dramatically." He saids. Cinder felt sadness in his heart.
"But... I can tell you who my name is. The Chronicler is a name yes, but it's a title, not a name. My true name is Ignitus young dragon. I was the former Guardian of Fire helping your father figure out who he was. Then later on with your mother as well. And finally helping them get through the Belt of Fire to get to the Destroyer, sacrificing myself to get them through." Ignitus said. Cinder was in shock, meeting a dragon that shares his middle name is cool. But was happy to meet someone from the world his parents came from.
"Thank you Ignitus, I hope we meet again."
"Me too young dragon. Now, you should return to the physical world." Ignitus said. Cinder laugh and closed his eyes
He open his eyes a few seconds later and look around; the swirl of elements were gone and the Golden Weapons still glowing. After a few seconds, the glowing stopped and he landed back onto the ground; the Golden Weapons laying on the ground around him. He was panting from exhaustion from the power and controlling it. Cole came out of his shock and ran over to him. He hug Cinder and was crying, relieved to see that the dragonet was alright. The others came out of their shock and came over to him as well.
"What in Ninjago just happened?" Said Jay
"I believe Cole has some questions to answered." Kai said accusingly
"Ugh. I do, but let me go grab something. Be right back." Cole said, wiping the tears off his face and went inside. A few seconds later, he came back with a scroll.
"I'll allow Zane to read it since he can decode what the scroll means." Cole said and hands it to Zane. Zane read out the scroll to everyone and once he's finished. Jay eyes widened, realizing what the note meant.
"So... your brother is from another world and you and your mom found him as a egg." Jay said
"And with what the note said, Cinder here is a unique dragon breed, a breed that can single-handedly control all four elements from his birth world. That is how he didn't disappear from existence by the Golden Weapons" Zane said
"So... Are you going to explain to me why you have these weapons and being a Ninja bro." Cinder questioned
"Oh... how much did you heard?" Cole asks
"Everything, I have enhanced senses remember?" Cinder said pointing at his ears "Also, I saw two serpentine over by the hills."
"Wait.. two serpentine were here. What did they look like?" Asked Kai
Cinder give them the description of the two serpentine and the others were annoyed, knowing who these two were.
"Ugh, Of course Python knows where the Fang Blade is at, just great!" Jay said, frustrated
"What's a Fang Blade?" Cinder ask curiosity
The four ninja told the dragonet what a Fang Blade was and why the serpentine are trying to collect them. Cinder was horrified; releasing a giant snake will be the most dangerous thing to do, and once release, there will be nothing stopping it.
"Ok, this is serious. But you know that dad won't like that you lie to him for so many years. You know that?" Cinder said with a frown
"Ugh, I know, and... there's just no way of explaining this to him." Cole said
"Really? Bro, just... tell him the truth. If you tell him the truth, yes he'll be mad, but he will be mad if he finds out on his own." Cinder said
"Yeah, you're right." Cole said with a dejected look
"Also, will you tell me what you did as a ninja?" Cinder questioned
"Of course bro, you'll love what I have in store for you. Me and the others here got to see dragons. They were the original protectors of the Golden Weapons. After that ordeal, we got to keep them as companions, well pets first but later as companions." Cole said
"Well. It took us longer to get a connection with them, but Mr Dragon Dad here was able to do a good job taking care of his." Jay said, mocked angrily
"Wait wait, what? Did they really call you that bro." Cinder ask, trying to hold in my laughter
"Yes, we did call him that Cinder." Said Zane, a smirk on his face
"Ugh. I hate you guys for making that name." Cole said, annoyingly
"But we love you as friends and teammates." Said Jay
"And I love you for being my big brother." Cinder said purring
They all laughed, and explain their adventures of being ninja and trying to protect Ninjago from evil and darkness. But with moments of stupidity of them trying to figure out who will be the green ninja. Cinder love this moment, being with his brother and friends having bonding time. He thought of telling them about Ignitus, but thought of telling them later after the stories.
"I hope that the contest will go well." He thought

A few days later, the Ninjago Talent Competition was here and was being held in Ninjago City. Cinder was excited for this, but nervous because what his brother and the others are going to do. He made his mind up to stay quiet to see what his brother will do.
Now they're at the Concert Hall, other contestants are practicing singing, beatboxing, and juggling. Cole and the others were practicing their routine. Cinder watch them a few feet away, while some of the contestants were staring at him. He didn't pay attention to them, since he was allow onto backstage for emotional support to the four ninja.
"Then kick ball change, barrel roll, barrel turn, and we all do the double wings—" Cole saids as Jay and Kai bumped into each other.
"Ow! Dude you gotta follow me." Jay said argued
"Follow you? You're two beats off." Kai argued back
"Actually, 2.72 off of the beat." Zane said Interrupting them. Cinder was sniggering at their petty argument.
"Guys, guys! Let's not make this any harder than it needs to be. We just stick to the plan and keep up the charade until the trophy's revealed. Once we steal the Blade Cup, we can argue all we want once we get back home." Cole said. Cinder look and saw their dad coming in while the others didn't noticed. He watched as emotions of anger, sadness, and dumbfounded of what he heard. Lou turned his eyes to Cinder and the dragonet flinched seeing that look. He was mad at him as well. Cinder stayed quiet as Cole and the others continue talking, not knowing that Lou was there and listening.
"But this is your hometown, Cole. Don't you want to try and win it?" Jay said
"Ugh, they only dance step I wanna perform is called "get-me-out-of-this-nuthouse-and-let's-burn-these-memories-from-my-head."" Cole said
"What?" Lou said, surprising my brother and the others. Cole was nervous
"Dad, I..." Cole said, trying to explain himself
"You...you were going to steal it?" Lou said, hurt. Colr sighs.
"Dad, I didn't mean for you to hear that, but-but I'm glad you did. There's something I've been wanting to tell you. All these years, I haven't been training to be a singer or a dancer. I found something new that I'm really good at. Dad..." Cole then used Spinjitzu to change into his gi. Cimder watched in amazement of the swirling tornado. "I'm a ninja." Lou gasped at seeing this "And the truth is, if we don't steal that Fangblade—I mean, Blade Cup—there's other people that will. Bad people. Serpentine. And we need it to save the world. I know how ridiculous this sounds, but I'm proud of who I am, and I want you to be proud of me, too." Cole saids. Cinder kept quiet knowing what his dad's reaction will be, but his reaction was something he'll never forever.
"I can't be proud of any son who thinks stealing is right. And I'm not gonna wait around to watch you make a mockery of our family's legacy. Also that my other son knew about this. I should of never allow you and your mother to bring that egg into my home." Said Lou. Cinder flinched hard from the response and started to whined very loudly, tears started to fall from his eyes. Kai came over to the dragonet and hug him, whispering words to calm him down. My brother was hurt.
"Dad, I— "Cole said, but Lou walks away. He groans, but was worried seeing Cinder crying. He came over and Kai handed the dragonet over to him. He held Cinder and whisper words of assurances that he loves him and mom loves him as well and that everything will be ok. Kai spoke up
"I'm sure he didn't mean that." He said
"Maybe if he saw you in action." Jay said. Cole sighs
"No, it's-it's okay." He saids, then they all watch as a group of disguised Serpentine walk out of a dressing room. "Treble Makers?" Cole said
"Wait a minute. What are they doing here?" Jay said.
"I told you that I saw two Serpentine not that far from the house." Cinder said, sniffling. Kai looked out onto the stage.
"I can't help it if I offend anyone. My only job will be to tell the truth." Said Pythor
Kai see Pythor was there sitting at the judge's table wearing a fake beard.
"You don't look anything like your photo." The second judge said
"Ah, sadly, but the camera adds a few pounds. I'm just happy to have the opportunity to judge this prestigious competition." Said Pythor
"Wait a minute. I'm still here! He swallowed me! He's not a judge!" The other judges gasp, hearing the third judge in Pythor's stomach.
"Quiet, or else I won't let you out." Pythor said
"My apologies." The this judge said. A few seconds later the Blade Cup was brought out.
"The Fangblade." Said Python
"Uh, yeah. You mean the Blade Cup." Said the second judge
"Yes, yes. Whatever." Said Pythor
"It looks like we're not the only ones planning to steal the Blade Cup. Pythor's here." Said Kai
" This complicates things." Said Zane
"Then I say we make our move. We can't risk losing out again. I say we steal it." Said Jay
"We're not gonna steal it." The others looked at Cole in surprise. "We're gonna win this competition, but we're gonna do it our way." Said Cole
"Our way?" Kai, Zane, and Jay said together. Cinder was confused of what that meant. But he was still a little upset to care and just watch the performances.
"My poison lies over the ocean, my poison lies over the sea. My poison lies over the ocean, so bring back my poison to me!" As the Treble Makers sing their song. His ears hurt from the awful singing. Cole's and the others' singing was much better than them. After that was over, the Serpentine and Skulkin cheered while everyone else booed. Pythor scores it a 10, but the judges scores 6. Pythor intimidates them to flip their score cards to a 9.
"And last but not least, The Royal Blacksmi—Uh, hold on. Uh, this just in, there's been a switch. Taking the stage next is Spin Harmony!" Said the announcer.
Cinder watched as the others did the tornado thing like his brother did and were wearing ninja gi's like his brother. Each a different color. Kai's was red with gold armor, Zane's white with gold armor, and Jay's
blue with silver armor. His brother's ninja gi was black with silver armor. They huddled up for their performance.
"If we're gonna do this, I want everyone to see who we are." Said Cole
"I have butterflies in my stomach." Said Zane
"Aww, come on. That's just nerves." Said Jay
"No, I really do have butterflies." Said Zane. And to Cinder's shock. Zane opens up a panel on his chest and butterflies flew out. He was shocked, Zane was a robot.
"Okay, uh, glad he got that out of his system." Jay said awkwardly and Cinder started to sniggered uncontrollably.
"Well at least that got Cinder to cheer up." Kai said
"Last call for Spin Harmony!" The announcer said
"Let's do this, for Cole!" Jay said
"If we can do the Tornado of Creation, we can score perfect 10s out there." Kai said
"I can say anything and it will only go to elevate our team unity." Said Zane
" I'm glad you guys are my friends.":Looks at Cinder and smiled. "And I'm also glad to have a brother as well. Let's do the whip!" Cole said
"Ninja, go!";the others said and the four of them did the tornado thing. Cinder watch them go out onto stage.

"Well, it looks like the last act is no longer performing. Haha, that means I can give this to the winners—" Python said before being cut off.
"Ladies and gentlemen, Spin Harmony!" Said the announcer and moves off-stage.
Music started to play The Weekend Whip, which was much better than the serpentine singing. Cinder watch as the crowd cheered for the four ninja. But he also watched as Pythor orders Serpentine to attack them. He was now curious to see how his brother does against them.
Jump up, kick back, whip around and spin. And then we jump back, do it again. Ninja, go. Ninja, go. Come on, come on, and do the Weekend Whip. (-end whip.) Ninja, go. Ninja, go! The music played as Cinder watched his brother. He was good, really good at fighting. The others were good as well. But he now believe that this is what his brother wants. Then to his shock along with everybody else, his brother does the Triple Tiger Sashay on three Serpentine.
"The Triple Tiger Sashay." Zane gasps, and so was Cinder. His brother did the most difficult dance move ever. Everyone but the Serpentine and Skulkin cheer loudly.
"Oh, he did it! The Triple Tiger Sashay! He's danced the impossible!" Said the announcer. The judges gave them a 10 but Pythor gave a 0, but the audience boos him. Which Cinder sniggered at, but then yucked in disgust as an arm came out of the purple snake's mouth and writes a 1 on his score card, turning it into a 10. The crowd cheers again. He laughs at the snake's stupidity. Even thought they are sneaky and cunning, they always have an ounce of stupidity of their plans being foolproof .
"What? Wait. I didn't write that." Pythor said in surprise
"It's a perfect score! Spin Harmony wins the Blade Cup!" Said the announcer
"Oh, this is a travesty of epic proportions! I demand for there to be a recount." Said Pythor angrily. Cinder was happy for that little piece of karma. He looked at his brother and could tell he was looking for something. He knew Cole was looking for dad. But he knew he won't find him, because he didn't see him either with the audience. A few seconds later, the four of them came back, with the Blade Cup in Cole's hands. He ran up to his brother and gave him a hug and purred.
"That's was the best performance ever. You even did the Triple Tiger Sashay brother! That's was amazing." Cinder said happily
"I've never felt more alive." Said Zane
"Hahaha! We did it!" Jay said laughing, Everyone chuckles.
"No, Cole did it. Because of you, Ninjago will sleep safely tonight." Said Kai
"Thanks, but go on and celebrate without me. Winning this doesn't feel the same without my dad being able to—" Cole said before being cut off by...
"Cole!" Lou said
"Dad?" Cole said. Cinder saw their dad coming over and he went over to Kai and sat next to him. Kai notice this and began rubbing his head. Making him relax and purring in contentment.
"I saw it all, son. I saw it all." Lou said, and both a hug
"You saw me dance?" Said Cole in shock
"More importantly, I saw you fight. Those Serpentine were up to no good, trying to steal the show, and I saw you stand up for what is right. I was wrong. I shouldn't have pushed you so hard to follow in my footsteps. Everyone is born with a special talent inside that's just been waiting to get out. And you were born to be a ninja." Lou said with pride
"You're not mad?" Cole said with a hopeful look
"How can I be? My son's a hero! Now... I need to apologize to someone for my outburst." Lou said and saw Cinder next to Kai. He walks over and the dragonet look around, trying not to look at him. He noticed that and looked sad.
"Cinder... I'm so sorry for what I said. I didn't mean to said those things. It was unjust and lashing my temper out on you, a young dragon, was the stupidest thing I've ever done. Could you ever forgive me what I said." He said
Cinder was conflicted with this. On one paw Lou was sincere of his actions, but on the other paw his dad hurt him verbally if he didn't live. He sigh, and decided on his choice.
"I'll forgive you for this dad, but what you said really hurt me badly. It made me think of my life being n the line, so that puts a lot of pressure on someone's mind." Cinder said, starting to tear up.
"Oh Cinder... I didn't know saying that was wrecking your mind over your life being risked. You're the best thing to ever happened to me and your mom. She'll probably have smack me by the head real hard. But you're the best dragon son I'll ever have." Lou said and they both hug each other. Cole smiled, was happy to see his brother be happy again. Then their little family moment was interrupted by a certain purple serpent.
"Eh, sorry to interrupt your little family reunion, but did you know." rips off the beard. "it's me, Pythor." Said Pythor. Cinder snorts, looking at him with disdain.
"You couldn't fool us, Pythor." Said Cole confidently
"I didn't want to miss our big show stopper." Said Pythor, which Cinder was confused, but realized a few seconds later what's he doing. Then two black with orange underbelly serpentine pushed a crate and knocks over some stage lights. Both him and Lou screamed in horror.
"Dad! Cinder!" Cole yells and jumps in after us.

Pythor laughs as he escapes with the Blade Cup while Kai, Zane, and Jay coughed from the dust.
"They took the Fangblade." Jay said coughing
"Cole!" Kai said, and they gather around the pile, they then noticed Cole's scythe is glowing.
"He found his True Potential." Zane said. As the debris was being shoved around as Cole grunts while lifting up the debris with his newfound powers. They also noticed Cinder was glowing as well, helping his brother lift up the debris.
"Wha-what? How did we survive that? Cole? Cinder?" Lou said
"Cole's found his True Potential. His relationship with his father must have been holding him back." Zane said
"He's indestructible!" Jay said
"Ugh, great. So now I really am the only one who hasn't figured out my special power." Kai said, upset. Then Cole and Cinder returned to normal.
"Is everyone alright? What just happened?" Cole said, winded
"Yeah, what just happened? I was in debris, then a bright glow. Then I felt so powerful, like I can move mountains with my body." Said Cinder, winded as well.
"We're all okay, you two" said Lou. Relieved from the ordeal, they all left the building to head home. Kai, Jay, and Zane helping them.

They were now back home. The whole ordeal with Cole and Lou about him being a ninja was resolved. But unfortunately for Cole and the others, Pythor has gotten the second Fang Blade. Which was depressing of them not getting it. But on the other hand, Cole was able to unlock his "True Potential". Which was good news to them. At the moment, they were drinking tea, while Cinder was eating a piece of raw meat. Which the dragonet was happily eating.
"Oh, man." Kai said
"That was really cool." Jay said simultaneously
"You found your True Potential." Zane said simultaneously
"I guess the scorecard now reads Pythor-two Fangblades, ninja-zero." Jay said
"Yeah, but all we need is one, and there are still two left to find." Cole said
"Who knows? Maybe when I unlock my True Potential, I'll turn into the destined Green Ninja." Kai said, arrogant in his tone. Cinder snorted at him of this. "He'll learn a lesson in humility in the near future." He thought
"Yeah, dream on." Said Cole
"Ha, okay." Jay said, simultaneously
"The only thing you're destined for is a more inflated ego." Cole said
"It may not be the trophy, but it sure will look good on my wall." Lou said and hangs up a picture of the ninja's victory. Cinder smiled, seeing that picture. Going to be one of the best memories to cherish forever.
"All right!" Cole said
"Excellent." Zane said
"Awesome." Kai said
"Nice." Jay saids, and chuckles
"As far as I'm concerned, you're all my family now." Lou said
"Yeah." Cole said, after a few seconds Lou asked
"Also, a few days ago I heard a noise out in the back yard. Was it something related to your job as ninja?" Said Lou and Zane show him what happened and he was shock and worried. After a few mins, he spoke.
"So, somehow. Cinder touch the weapons, which has a dangerous consequence of literally destroying yourself from existence!? What were you thinking?" Lou said sternly at ne dragonet..
"I didn't mean to, ok? I wanted to touch one of them at a time. I didn't know what they were until Cole and the others told me." Cinder said and curled tighter in a ball and Lou sighs.
"It's fine son. But you now know not to touch something that's very dangerous, even though its looks don't look threatening." He said, and Cinder nodded his head.
"It's a good thing that you were able to control it." Said Jay
"Actually... I didn't do that on my own." Cinder said
"Wait... you mean that you didn't know how to control it?" Said Kai
"Hey! what do you expect? That I instantly knew how to control it so easily? No." Cinder growled, annoyed
"Whoa whoa, calm down. Didn't mean to anger you Cinder." Kai said, putting his hands up as surrendering.
"The question still stands. How did you control your elemental breaths without zero training?" Said Cole
"Uhh..." Cinder then explained to them what happened within his mind: the Chronicler, aiding in to controlling the elemental energy, and telling him that he's a friend of his biological parents along with that he's from the world the dragonet was supposed to be raised in.
"So he knows who your parents are, but he won't reveal who they are by name?" Cole said
"Yeah, that's basically what he told me. But it's fine, I'll learned who they are in the future. If I can... with no other dragon around Ninjago, I wonder who can teach me." Cinder said
"It is unfortunate that the only dragons that we know aren't here at the moment. So we're basically back at square one. But yes, the question is: WHO can teach him?" Said Zane as a idea came from Jay as Cinder watched his eyes widened
"How about we train him? Like, we all represent the four elements that his kind can do single-handedly by themselves." Jay said. Cinder watched as everyone thought what he said,
"Thats not a bad idea Jay. That would be the best option for Cinder to learn, if he wants to, that is.." Lou said and looked at Cinder. He looked at the others and his brother, who was hoping for him saying yes. He thought really hard on this decision. "If I do this then I'll have control over my powers, but people at school will be curious of my absence. But if I don't, then I'll have zero control and people at school will figure out my secret." He sighed and made his choice.
"I'll go with Cole and the others dad." Cinder said and watch his expression
"Are you completely sure of this son?" He said
"Yes." Looking at his dad. "I wanted to learn these abilities so that I have complete control over them. I also wanted to see if there are other dragons out there. Plus... I don't have any knowledge on how to fly." Cinder said, a little sheepishly and his dad smiled
"Alright. I will tell your school that I'm pulling you out by you going to the same "dancing school" as your brother. Also, you not being able to fly is not good. If you're in a situation that calls for it, but can't because you don't know how. That's not good. If you do meet a dragon and it helps you with flying, then that's good news." He said
Cinder smile, hoping that the future ahead of him be good for what he'll do. He looked around at the others and they all smile as well. Cole having the biggest smile on his face. Cinder then look out at the window, watching the sunset, and looking up as stars started to appear. He thought of what would happen if he wasn't raised here in Ninjago than being raised by his biological parents and their friends.
"I hoped I'll see my biologist parents one day or possibly go to the world I was supposed to be raised in." He thought and return his attention back to the present and relax as the others continued talking till late into the night
—A few weeks later—
Cinder was sitting a few feet away from his brother, Jay, and Zane. Who were gathered on the Bounty's deck. He watched them practicing with their powers.
"Earth!" Cole shouted and attacks what appears to be a Serpentine.
Cinder pay attention to how they use their elemental powers. Then turned towards Jay.
"Lightning!" Jay shouted and shocks the Serpentine. Cinder then turned his head towards Zane
"Ice!" Zane shouted as he knocks down the Serpentine. A light goes on revealing their enemy to be training dummies.
"Good training. Your powers are getting stronger. But where's Kai?" Said Nya, who was Kai's younger sister. After the meetup with his dad, Cole and the three ninja took him with them to their HQ, which was the flying ship. It was called "Destiny's Bounty" and that Zane found it a few months ago, which was cool to see that. Now, when he meet Nya for the first time, it was interesting.
Flashback Starts
"Ok Cinder, welcome to our HQ!" Said Cole. Cinder looked around at the ship as its anchor came down. They all got on and it went up. A few mins later, they were on the deck of the ship. Cinder looked around, the deck looked like a pirate ship's deck and mast, but with some modern updates to it for living space.
"Wow! This is amazing! I never thought you guys have something like this!" He said
"Well, now you get to live here as well." Said Zane
"Guys, did the mission go well on the Fangblade?" A female voice said
"No Nya, unfortunately Pythor found out about the contest and got it." Jay said
"Ok , but who are you guys talking to?" Said the woman
"Who's that?" Cinder ask curiously
"That's my younger sister Nya. She's part of the team as a samurai called Samurai X." Said Kai
"Oh" Cinder said in wonder
"Yes sis, there's someone here who's going to be part of the team. If that's fine Cole?"
"That's fine Kai." Cole said as a young 16 year old girl with a bobcut hair style, and wearing a red shirt and pants with gold accents and a Phoenix symbol along the left side of her shirt. When she came out and saw Cinder, her eyes widen of seeing the dragonet standing there.
"Guys? Why's there a dragon here on the deck?" She asked
"Nya, this is Cinder, Cole's adopted younger brother." Zane said and Cinder wave shyly
"Hi" He said and walk up to her and bought his right foreleg to her for a handshake. She was speechless, he can see it in her eyes.
"You have a brother Cole? Why didn't you said anything about him?" She said
"Well, I didn't know how your reactions would be of him, but I was also keeping his identity quiet so that any of our enemies wouldn't find out and used him as bait or exposing him public." Cole said
"Ok, I understand why now, but why is he here now?" Nya said and then was explained about his past and what he is. To now becoming part of the team to learn his elemental powers.
"Ok, so now we got a dragon to teach. This will be interesting to see how you guys are going to do." Said Nya with a smirk
"Yeah, this will be interesting." Cinder said
Flashback Ends
Since then both him and Nya have a budding friendship, since being the youngest of the team meant being unable to join on their missions. So he was by myself on the ship, and when they get back he feels exhausted and bored. Cinder really wished for some practical teaching to get control on his abilities. He stretched his senses out and found Kai in Sensei Wu's room.
"Found him, he's in Sensei Wu's room." He said and they all went towards the room, opened the door, and see Kai wearing a green ninja gi.
"Fire! Unlock Fire! Uh, Fire go! Shoot flames! Oh, come on. Everyone else can do it. So can you. BRING HEAT!" He shouted at a mirror and the others laughed at him,.
"Very nice. Perhaps if you tried the phrase "Fire dork," maybe it might work." My brother said
"How long have you all been watching?" Kai said and removes the hood
"The Green Ninja suit. That's awesome!" Said Jay
"Well, I was looking for some kind of clue from Sensei and then I found this." Said Kai
"But you know only he who is foretold to face Lord Garmadon is destined to be the Green Ninja, and only he should wear the Green Ninja outfit. So Sensei would most likely be very—" Zane said, but was cut off from Kai
"I know, I know. But I thought if I just tried it on, it might help me see my True Potential. It's not fair that you guys have unlocked your cool powers and I still haven't. Besides, Sensei's gone and we don't know when he's coming back —" Kai said, but cut off as a door opens.
"Hello? I'm home." Said the man, whose voice sounded like that of a elderly man.
"Sensei!" Nya, Zane, Jay, and Cole shouted and left the room. With Cinder following them, leaving Kai to change back into his gi. The others went up to the deck to greet the wise old man.
"Ah. It's so good to be home." Wu said
"So glad you're back." Zane said
"Did you bring us anything?" Cole said
"Oh, Sensei, have you missed a lot. Zane's a Nindroid, Nya's the mysterious Samurai, Cole's a dancer and has a dragon brother—" Jay said
"Zane is a...what?" Wu said in surprise
"You've been gone a while. We'll catch you up later. But you should know, all of us except for Kai have discovered our True Potential." Zane said
"Have you now? Where is Kai?" Said Wu
Cinder turned his head towards to Kai wearing his gi "Right here. So glad you're back safe" when a mysterious person the dragonet didn't know, but suspected that the others know because of Kai's reaction. "Aah! Sensei, behind you!" And watch as the red ninja tried to attack this person while Zane dives to guard the old man.
" Sensei!" Zane said
"Ugh! He's got four arms." Said Kai and Cinder saw that this person has four arms instead of two.
"So we meet again." Said Garmadon
"He must've followed you, Sensei!" Kai said
"Kai, stop! He is the reason I left. For so long as Pythor has Lloyd, he will be our guest." Wu said
"We have to live with this guy?!" Cole said, shocked
"But Sensei, he has four arms!" Zane said, also shocked
"Uh, must I remind you ever since he turned evil, he's been trying to get our Golden Weapons?" Said Jay
"ENOUGH!" Wu shouted with anger, making the others go silent. Cinder flinched from the level of noise so close
"Yes, Sensei." The others said
This isn't about the weapons. It's about my son." Garamdon said
"From here on out, you will obey me and you will respect my brother." Wu said
"Yes, Sensei." The others said again. Cinder was curious of this person that the others were on guard.
"Now to the bridge. We must put our attention to more pressing matters." Wu said and everyone went to the bridge. "So, where are we at with the four Fangblades?" He asked
"Oh, Pythor's managed to take the first two, but there's still two left." Jay said
"And we only need one in order to prevent him from unleashing the Great Devourer." Cole said
"Any luck finding their whereabouts?" Said Wu
"No, but the Falcon is programmed to alert us if he sees any suspicious activity." Said Zane. Cinder was curious of the white ninja having a falcon as a pet. Be interesting to see it face to face. He then refocus back into the conversation.
"Good. If we find the Fangblade, we find Lloyd. Kai and Nya, prepare the deck and double check the anchor. We need to be ready when we first get word of activity." Said Wu. Kai And Nya left the bridge.
"Yes, Sensei." Said the red ninja and samurai, Cinder watched as Kai got up close to the Garamdon character
"I have my eye on you." He said and leaves with his sister, he grunts when he hits his head which Cinder snickered at and Wu sighs.
"Jay, did you say the Falcon was...programmed?" Wu said, confused
"Haha. Okay, Sensei. I don't know where to start. It all started when we saw the Falcon, and then we ran after it..." Jay said as he told their teacher what happened the past few months. When Jay got to the part about Cinder, Wu looked over at him and his eyes widen, telling the dragonet that he recognized him. But to Cinder, he don't know how he knows him. After Jay was finished with recounting what happened, Wu looked over at him.
"So. we meet again young dragon. The last time I saw you was in that egg." He said
"Huh? How did you know about me. I never met you before?" Cinder said confused
"I met your foster mom when she ask me about what you were. I also was the one that found the note on your egg." Wu said
"Oh, so that makes sense now. I wonder how she was able to take care of me knowing what I was." Cinder said
"Yes, but curious that you're here with my pupils and not your father." Wu said
"Uh, well... Jay forgot to said this when he was recounted what happened. But here's why I'm here." Cinder said and told him what happened.
"So. The Golden Weapons touched you. But instead of being obliterated from existence, they unlock your elemental powers within you. But since you haven't practiced using them, you haven't used them?" Wu said
"Yes" Cinder said
"Well, since you have my pupils here trying to teach you how to use them. But if they are too busy training or doing a mission. Then I'll teach you instead. Will that be alright with you." Said Wu
"Sure, that's fine by me, and it will be nice to get started on that." Cinder said and after that talk, they all talk about other things that happened. But the other three were a little nervous and skeptical. Which was a little weird. Cinder decided to ask both Wu and Garamdon of why they are acting like this. After that he left to go lay down in his little nest-bed and went asleep.

A few days have past and immediately Cinder could tell that the four ninja dislike what Garamdon does. From what he heard and seen, Garamdon was interesting to have as a guest on the Bounty. Like him brushing his teeth with a dagger. At the dinner table, he was eating Condensed evil at dinner a couple of times, sunbathing on the deck during a storm, and creating electricity while the four ninja were sleeping. That one annoyed the four from getting any sleep. But to him, he was fine with it. It was like a night light, but with just a bit of buzzing.
A few days later, Zane's falcon have spotted where the Serpentine was at and headed to. They were all in the bridge, finally able to figure out where they were at.
"Looks like Pythor is at the Temple of Fire." Nya said
"That means the Fangblade is there." Kai said
"And Lloyd." Said Garamdon, Cinder felt sympathetic for him. Even though he's different than the others. He will do anything to save his family from harm's way.
"That's the same Fire Temple where Kai and Lord Garmadon first faced off." Say Jay and Cinder cringed, knowing what's going to happen next
"If my memory serves me correct, I'd say one of us cheated back when we last fought." Said Kai irritated and Cinder cringed even more.
"And I remember someone needing their Sensei to save them." Garamdon said back at Kai
"Guys! For the sake of the Fangblade and Lloyd, can we please just get along?" Cole said, trying to defuse the situation
"Since the last time we've been there, it looks like the volcano has grown unstable. The place is a powder keg just waiting to blow up. This will be a highly combustible environment." Nya said
"Oh, great. Just what I like. Fighting armed and deadly snakes in a highly combustible environment about to blow up!" Said Jay, frustrated
"We will do what we must." Wu said
"Yes, Sensei. But where are our weapons?" Zane asked
"And why is Lord Garmadon not here?" Kai said and leaves the bridge.
"Kai!" Wu shouted and they all ran after him. They went downstairs and down the hallway to heard Kai's voice coming from a door at the end.
"Kai? You in here?" Nya said, but was blocked. "What are you doing?" She said
"Discovering my True Potential!" Kai said on the other side of the door.
"Unh! The door won't budge!" Jay said, trying to open the door with force.
"Kai thinks he'll unlock his power if he stands up to Lord Garmadon." Said Nya
"Why would he think that?!" Zane said in astonishment
"Cause he thinks he's the Green Ninja!" Nya said, while making the cuckoo gesture.
"Well, if we don't open this door soon, I think he's gonna be mincemeat! Stand back!" Cole saids and activates his True Potential. "Earth!" and breaks the door down, and seeing Kai holding Garamdon down.
"I defeated him. I did it! Are my eyes glowing? Did I unlock my powers? Is this my True Potential? Argh! Why isn't it working?" Said Kai with frustration
"Because you cannot defeat someone who allowed himself to be defeated." Said Wu
"I wasn't going to hurt you, boy. I was only fetching your weapons." Said Garamdon
"But you were trying to steal them!" Kai said
"I asked him to get them. Perhaps it is best you do not reach your True Potential, or else someone could get hurt." Wu said, with a stoic expression on his face.
"Way to go, hero." Cole said in annoyance
"Oh. Poor thing. Let me help you." Nya said
"Yes. Poor thing." Said Garamdon. I watched as Kai clenches his fists angrily when the ship suddenly stops.
"Sounds like we've finally reached our destination." Said Cole as they all disembark, except for Cinder and Nya, he looked out at thetemple. It was set into the side of a volcano. Which makes sense of the name. Nya looked at him
"This is the location that the Sword of Fire was hidden in. Me and Kai met the guardian of the Sword. We were scared, but remember the stories of them and they can travel through realms." She said
"Wow... that's amazing. I wish I could do that and travel to other worlds. But it would be cool to go to my home world and see what it looks like." Cinder said
"The Fire Temple." Cinder heard his brother said from the vantage point of Zane's falcon as a communicator.
"The volcano seems to be on the verge of eruption, guys. All recent indicators tell me that this place is becoming increasingly fragile. Even the smallest rupture can make the whole thing go off." She told
"Then we must not use our weapons." Wu said and watch everyone but Kai puts their weapons away.
"Kai." Nya said
"Yeah, yeah. No Fire Sword. But only because I wouldn't want anything to prevent us from getting that Fangblade." Kai said, sighs before sheathing his sword.
"Or my son." Said Garamdon and Cinder watched them walked towards the temple.
"So... now what?" He ask the samurai
"Now... we waited until they get back." She said
"If there's issues in the temple?" Cinder said
"Get the Bounty up and wait fur them and book it." She said
"Ok" Cinder said and went out onto the deck and watched the temple. He decided to take a nap out here. It was so nice and warm from the heat. Being a dragon has its perks. He then lay down and closed his eyes.
Suddenly 30 mins later there was a rumbling from the temple. Cinder was confused and walk inside to the bridge and saw that Nya was a little annoyed but panic as well.
"Kai, the weapon is compromising your safety." Nya said
"I will do what I must." Kai said and was confused
"What did Kai do?" Cinder questioned
"He took out his Sword and it is affecting what's going inside the volcano." She said worried
"Uh oh. That's not good." Cinder said, now worried for them. Suddenly the volcano rumbling even more and louder as ever. After that just happened, he was getting worried by the minute. After a few more mins he then see them coming back running out the temple towards the ship. He was relieved, but then noticed that someone was missing. A red ninja was missing.
"Where's Kai?" Cinder said and after a few seconds they were on.
"Where's my brother?" Nya ask, worry
"Kai's still in the temple with Lloyd and are trapped." Said Zane sadly
"No..."
"No time for mourning, need to get away from the volcano NOW!" Said Cole
"LLOYD! LLOYD!" Yell Garamdon as they leave on the Bounty and a few seconds later the volcano explodes.
"Kai!" Nya said, tears about to come
"Son." Garamdon says, suddenly a ball of fire shoots out of the volcano. They all saw what was in the fireball. It was Kai and Lloyd and were flying back to the Bounty.
"It's Kai! He's found his True Potential!" Said Jay as the two landed. Kai removes his mask and gives a look of understanding to Wu before his power diminishes and he passes out. The Bounty takes off for open skies soon after. After a few hours later, They were in the bridge, everyone all watched the Garmadons have a proper reunion. Cinder looked at the young 10 year old. He have blond hair, and wearing clothes that looked like his father's body with a green 10 above his heart.
"Dad? Is it really you?" Lloyd said
"It is, son." He said
"Dad? Why do you have four arms?" The 10 year old asks
"He's gonna be okay." Cole said and the other ninja cheer.
"Thank you, Kai." Garamdon said
"But how did you survive? How did you discover the key to unlocking your powers?" Zane asked
"I knew when I had to make a choice. I wanted the Fangblade so badly, to prove I was good enough to become the Green Ninja. But then I figured it out. All of my training to become the best ninja wasn't in preparation to become the Green Ninja. It was... to protect him." Said Kai as he looks at Lloyd while everybody else, except Cinder, catches on to what he means.
"What? What is everybody looking at me for?" Lloyd said, confused
"That means..." Nya said and She, Kai and Cole bring the weapons in front of Lloyd, and they reacted by levitating and emitting green lightning. Cinder watched in amazement of this. He need to ask the others of what this is all about.
"Lloyd is the Green Ninja. I had thought it would be one of you, but it was him the whole time. It all makes sense. Not only have you four been chosen to protect the Golden Weapons, but also to protect the Chosen One." Wu said and the weapons fall to the floor.
"That means..." Garamdon said as he realize what his brother said
"The battle lines have been drawn, brother. Sadly, our family has only become more divided. Brother versus brother, and now, son versus father." Said Wu and the others develop looks of sadness, which Cinder was still confused on when Jay breaks the silence.
"Hehe, this is heavy and all, but whatever happened to the Fangblade!?" Jay ask

The ninja, Nya, Wu, Garamdon, Lloyd, and Cinder all didn't know that at the Temple of Fire, Pythor have spotted the Fangblade flowing in the lava. He grabs it with his Anacondrai Staff.
"Ah, it's so beautiful. Cool and clean it off, boys. Because we've only got one more to go." Pythor said and laughs evilly as two Venomari whimpers from touching the hot Fangblade.

Here's Chapter 3 for ya all. This and the first two chapters were 1st POV but decided to go 3rd POV because i was liking it better than before. But we got Cinder meeting the other ninja for the first time and going with them.
