First MorphIIIdragonX, the gang will still get Aaravos' prison, and will have it with them while in Kumandra. But the monster(Not a dark Pokemon) that works for the Cloak Figure wants it back. That's the last thing you're getting, so please stop asking about it.

Next Kal57HO, in the first chapter, Allen, Kali, and Janai learned about Conan's history, so they already knew who he was, he just told Conan that he knew about him to make him believe that he really did come from another world. And to answer the second question you have, the answer is kinda. While I might make another triple crossover that takes place after the story is over, I have something else planned for much later, and that plan will involve the characters from Dragon Prince, but I want to keep it a secret, so don't ask what that plan is.

Lastly, Vhuste2300, we'll have to see how season 6 and 7 go before I decide if they make an appearance, and before you ask where they are, the next chapter of The Black and White Dragon Prince will have that answer.

Chapter 5

The Charred Remains Of Deceit

Kyoto, Higashiyama, Yajima Residence

With the moon over head, Kogoro and Mr. Achiwa arrived at Yajima's home by a police care, which was surrounded by cops, with Allen, Janai, Heiji, and Conan using their bikes to follow Kogoro and Mr. Achiwa to Yajima's home.

"Hey you four, this area is off limits." A cop said to Allen, Janai, Heiji, and Conan. "Right of course it is, but we're here with Kogoro Mori." Heiji said to the cop. "Yeah, I don't think so." The cop said to everyone. "They're alright, let them on through." A man said to the cop, getting everyone's attention.

The white man had light brown short hair that always was slicked back with two strands sticking out, his brown eyes were very small and narrow like a fox, his eyebrows were short and dark brown. He was wearing a gray suit with a squirrel on his right shoulder.

"Yes sir." the cop said to the man. Long time no see, you two. I see you made some new friends." The man said to Heiji and Conan. "Inspector Ayanokoji." Conan said to the man. "A friend of yours?" Janai asked Heiji and Conan. "You can say that. We've worked together on a few cases here and there." Conan said to Janai, as Ayanokoji started to lead them through the house.

"The victim is Mr. Toshiya Yajima. He's the son of a distinguished family and he lived here all by himself. He most likely died at around 6 AM. But the corpse wasn't found until 2 in the afternoon. Oh, and you'll want to be careful where you step. The killer ransacked the place." Ayanokoji said to everyone, as they noticed piles of rubble.

But what caught Allen's eye was how everything was trashed, everything was smashed in the spot it was placed, or picked up and tossed into a pile. It didn't look planned to him, like it was something rushed or on a whim, and it looked like everything was here just broken.

Soon they made it to the room where Yajima's body was, which was now a mess, and where Achiwa and Kogoro were talking. "A robbery?" Achiwa asked Kogoro. "If it was, it's safe to say it didn't go as planned by the looks of it." Kogoro said to Achiwa. "That was our analysis as well." Ayanokoji said to Kogoro.

"The murder likely came in planning to rob the place, but they ran into Mr. Yajima instead." Ayanokoji said to them. "The killer beat him to death with the sword he was about to steal. Then he took the money and made his escape." Kogoro said to everyone. "Poor man… But why?" Achiwa asked everyone, as Conan, Heiji, and Allen looked around the room, while Janai looked to look at the body with Kogoro.

"The victim was practicing Karuta at the time of the attack." Kogoro said to everyone. "Well observed." Heiji said to Kogoro, making Kogoro notice them. "Woah! Hey! What the heck are you all doing here?!" Kogoro asked them. "You really didn't see us walk in?" Allen said to Kogoro.

"Hey there Inspector! We're gonna take a little look around if that's okay." Heiji said to Ayanokoji. "Forensics has already finished, so have at it." Ayanokoji said to Heiji. "You're kidding me." Kogoro said to Ayanokoji, getting annoyed by this.

"Unfortunately we're gonna have to take the murder weapon with us." Ayanokoji said to everyone. "No problem, go right ahead." Heiji said to Ayanokoji, as a cop handed him the sword.

"Wait, Ayan- whatever, why was he beaten to death with a sword? When I use a sword, I would slash my target. I won't use it like a stick." Janai said to Ayanokoji.

"We wondered that too. But it turns out the sword is stuck in the sheath, so the killer must have no choice but to use it to beat Yajima to death with it." Ayanokoji said to Janai, as Janai looked at Yajima's head, and noticed a couple wounds on the side of the head that was turned to the ceiling, but also noticed one wound in the middle of his forehead.

"Please stay with them until they're done with their investigation." Ayanokoji said to the cop, as he took the sword. "Sir." The cop said to Ayanokoji.

"I'll be waiting for you just outside, so let me know if there's anything you might need." Ayanokoji said to everyone, before leaving. "Right." Heiji said to Ayanokoji, as they started to look around.

"So what do you think?" Heiji asked everyone. "I think there's something off about this." Allen said to everyone. "There is a whole lot to process here. Look at his right hand." Conan said, as they noticed his right hand didn't have the Karuta card in it, but there were still some blood stains on hand.

"Yeah, you noticed the blood stains too?" Heiji asked Conan. "Uh-huh. He must have been holding something that was already stained." Conan said to everyone. "But it must have been something small with those stain patterns." Allen said to everyone.

"There's only one thing in the room that's pretty bloody… The Karuta cards." Heiji said to everyone. "Allen, think this is related to why we're here?" Janai asked Allen.

"Maybe. But why remove the card in his hand? If he's related to the bomb at the studio, why remove the card?" Allen asked everyone. "The murderer must have noticed he was holding a certain card and tried to hide it amongst the others." Conan said to Allen, as he took pictures of cards.

"But that doesn't make sense, if this is the same person that sent the email, then why didn't he leave a card on the body, even if the wrong card was in his hand, you'd think there would be a card somewhere on him." Allen said to everyone.

"It's gonna be tough to find which one in particular." Heiji said to everyone. "Well, maybe not." Conan said to everyone, confusing everyone. "I think I might know someone who can help us." Conan said to everyone, as he took a few steps, making Heiji notice the remote near the blood pool with lines of blood between the remote and the blood.

"Oh on? Based on the bloodstains, that remote must've been really close to the victim." Heiji said to everyone, as she put some gloves on. "Excuse me. Is it cool if I stand this TV up?" Heiji asked the cop. "Sure, go ahead." The cop said to Heiji. "Thanks." Heiji said to the cop.

"Why are you moving that thing?" Janai asked Heiji. "If he had the remote in his hands until just before he was killed. What was he watching?" Heiji asked everyone, as she put the TV up, and turned it back on.

That's when Momiji appeared on the screen, surprising everyone. "Momiji Ooka." Heiji said to everyone, as Allen noticed it was paused. "So he was watching a karuta match before he died." Conan said to everyone, getting the attention of Kogoro and Achiwa.

"Hm? What did you find?" Kogoro asked them. "He was watching a video when he died." Allen said to Kogoro. "It looks like a match from a while ago." Conan said to everyone, as Heiji pulled out the dvd. "Yeah. it says it's "the 15th to the 20th High School Satsuki Cup competitions"." Heiji said to everyone.

"I wonder why Yajima would have been watching it." Conan asked everyone, as Achiwa walked to them. "The finals are known for a very high standard of gameplay. Just watching a player's techniques or the way the cards are lined up can be an incredibly educational experience. Of course, I doubt it has anything to do with the murder, though." Achiwa said to everyone.

"Wait, but…" Conan said to Achiwa, but was interrupted by Kogoro grabbing him. "But Nothing! Shut up, come on you all! You're done playing detective!" Kogoro said to everyone, as he tried to force everyone out. But Allen grabbed his arm he was using to hold Conan and squeeze it. This caused Kogoro to groan in pain.

"You will put him down now!" Allen said to Kogoro, with a mean tune in his voice. "What… Do you know who I am?" Kogoro asked Allen, getting angry with Allen.

"A fool who thinks this is just a simple robbery gone wrong by just glancing at everything. Not seeing that this was about killing Yajima." Allen said to Kogoro, squeezing Kogoro's arm and making him drop Conan. Then Allen let go of Kogoro.

"What are you talking about, this was a robbery." Kogoro said to Allen, as he rubbed his arm. "I don't think so. First Yajima paused the video. Why would he pause it?" Allen asked Kogoro. "Maybe the killer paused it. Did you think of that?" Kogoro asked Allen.

"Maybe, but then wouldn't the remote be somewhere else, and Yajima's body be where we're standing?" Allen asked Kogoro, confusing Kogoro a little. "What do you mean?" Kogoro asked Allen. "Conan, can you stand here for a second and face the tv?" Allen asked Conan, as he pointed to a spot on the floor.

"Sure." Conan said to Allen, as he moved to the spot, with Allen getting behind him. "Now I'm the killer, I'm here to rob you. Now rather than just steal whatever I can get my hands on in the hallways, like the sword that was used to kill him, and make a quick esacpe. I sneaked in here while you were distracted by this video. Now no matter what happens next, whether you noticed me, or I don't know the weapon is stuck and it took me a couple seconds before I used it to kill you making you notice me, or I get the attack off without you ever knowing. No matter how it would fall, the body should be on this side of the room, not in the middle." Allen said to everyone.

"Hey you're right." Heiji said to Allen. "I'm just getting started." Allen said to Heiji, as he walked to Yajima's body.

"Now, let's say I'm Yajima, I hear something outside, the thief breaking my stuff. I look out and see the thief, and the thief sees me. Panicking, I ran back into their room, and the thief chased me in here. Won't I throw stuff at the thief, and maybe back up until I was forced to the wall. But here I am in the middle of the floor and there's nothing in the hallway outside the door." Allen said to everyone.

"Maybe the killer ambushed him at the door, did you ever think of that?" Kogoro asked Allen, getting annoyed with him. "Yes, but if he ambushed him at the door, then why isn't his body in the doorway? Or why isn't there any sign of a fight, if someone tries to attack me, I'd try and fight back. Or if he ran away, then why isn't he on his back? I would turn around if I was running away, not run backwards." Allen said to everyone.

"Because he knows his killer?! That's why there's one wound on the middle of his head." Janai said to Allen, making Allen smirk, and snap his fingers.

"Correct. He must have known who the killer is. Probably was expecting the killer. Paused the video and walked to the door to meet him, only to find that Killer had a weapon in hand. This shocked Yajimi and gave the killer the opening he needed to strike Yajima, even with the sword stuck, he had a few seconds to act before Yajima would do anything." Allen said to everyone.

"Then Mr. detective. Care to explain why the house was ransacked?" Kogoro asked Allen, getting more annoyed. "How would I know? Maybe the killer really hated Yajima. Maybe to make everything think it was a robbery. Or Maybe someone else did this. After all, Yajima has been dead and alone for about 8 hours, anything could have happened." Allen said to Kogoro.

"But we'll figure it out. Conan, Heiji, Janai, with me. We've learned all we can here." Allen said to them, as he started to leave, not noticing that 1/10 of the gray trinket circle became white.

"I'm starting to like him." Heiji said to Conan, as they started to leave. "Well I'm starting to hate him." Kogoro said, as she started to leave, with a frown on his face.

As they left the room, the cops covered Yajima's dead body and left Achiwa to look at Yajima with a sad look in his eyes.

Doctor Agasa Residence

At Doctor Agasa home, Doctor Agasa and Ai were in the living room, with Doctor Agasa watching the news and Ai working on her computer. "This news story again? It's all pretty scary isn't it?" Doctor Agasa asked Ai, as Ai turned off the tv.

"Hey! I was watching that, why would you turn it off?" Doctor Agasa asked Ai. "Every time the news gets scary, you get anxious and I don't want you to have a breakdown." Ai said to Doctor Agasa. "I suppose." Doctor Agasa said to Ai.

"You did get in touch with the children, didn't you?" Ai asked Doctor Agasa. "I've been trying but Shinichi still hasn't called me back yet!" Doctor Agasa said to Ai, before Ai's phone started to ring. Ai pulled her phone out and looked at who was calling her.

"Oh? Well, right on cue. See?" Ai said to Doctor Agasa, as she showed Conan's name on her phone. "Lovely. I can talk to him when you're finished." Doctor Agasa said to Ai, as Ai answered the phone.

"It's about time. What were you talking not calling us as soon as you were safe? Doc was really worried about you." Ai said to Conan. "Yeah, sorry. It's been a little busy around here." Conan said to Ai.

"So, what did you call for?" Ai asked Conan. "I just emailed you a few photos a little while ago. I want you to take a look at the Karuta cards on the floor." Conan said to Ai, as an email appeared on Ai's computer.

Ai opened the email, and saw the Karuta cards and the picture from Momiji's wallet. "First a bomb at the TV station, and now blood-smeared Karuta cards?" Ai asked Conan. "I was hoping you could identify which of those cards our victim was holding. The boring stuff's your forte right?" Conan asked Ai, annoying Ai.

"You're boring." Ai said to Conan, before looking through the pictures, and noticing the picture of the man in it. "Huh? There's a picture of a person in here." Ai said to Conan. "Yeah, I'd like you to check out him too." Conan said to Ai.

"Is he a Karuta player?" Ai asked Conan. "I'm pretty sure he is." Conan said to Ai. "I'll see what I can do. Give me a little time." Ai said to Conan. "Thanks, I'm counting on you! See ya!" Conan said to Ai before hanging up the phone. "Wait a second! Doc wants…!" Ai said, to the now beeping phone. This made Doctor Agasa sigh.

Kyoto, Higashiyama, Yajima Residence

Back at Yajima's place, Conan, Allen, Heiji, and Janai were standing around their bikes. "It's starting to look like they're intentionally targeting members of the Satsuki Association." Heiji said to everyone.

"Given that maybe two cards have been played, four are left on the board, we gotta get ahead of this killer before he causes any more harm." Allen said to everyone. "Good objective, but the problem is we don't know who or what the other four cards are for." Janai said to Allen.

"There's at least two potentials. I can watch Mr. Achiwa. He's staying at the same hotel as us." Conan said to everyone. "I don't know how you know that. But good to know." Allen said to Conan. "And I'll keep an eye on Momiji Ooka." Heiji said to everyone.

"In that case, Janai, you'll go with Heiji, and considering Kali is probably with the others, I'll go with Conan, and get an earful from her." Allen said to everyone. "I still don't know why you love her?" Janai asked Allen. "What can I say, she's hot blooded and I love it." Allen said to Janai, smiling, making Janai roll her eyes.

That's when a car drive up to the place. "Stop right there! What are you doing here?" A cop asked car, making Sekine come out of the car. "I'm a member of the Association, I have to get in!" Sekine said to the cop.

"Stay right there, sir! I'll need to see some verification." The cop said to Sekine. "There you are!" Achiwa said, getting everyone's attention. "Where the heck have you been, Sekine?! I must have had you called hours ago!" Achiwa asked Sekine.

"I am so sorry, sir! I kinda went out drinking last night, must've overdone it and passed out before I got my phone plugged in and charged." Sekine said to Achiwa, as Achiwa, Kogoro, and Ayanokoji walked up to him.

"Seriously?" Achiwa asked Sekine. "And then when I woke up I saw the news about the explosion down at the station. And they said you were at Yajima's looking for me. I rushed over, but it is absolute chaos getting her, sir. What's with all the cops? Is.. is everything all right?" Sekine asked Achiwa, as everyone looked at him.

"I'm afraid that… Mr. Yajima has been murdered." Achiwa said to Sekine. "Wait, what?!" Sekine asked Achiwa, looking surprised by this. "It seems that he was attacked by someone. And killed with the sword he kept in the hallway." Achiwa said to Sekine. "The Katana… Oh, god." Sekine said to Achiwa.

"Mr. Achiwa, who is this?" Ayanokoji asked Achiwa. "Sorry, inspector. I work as a cameraman for the Satsuki Association. The names Koji Sekine." Sekine said to Ayanokoji. "And also, Mr. Yajima's foremost rival. As a matter of fact, they faced off against each other in the finals of the last two competitions." Achiwa said to Ayanokoji.

"And I couldn't pull off the win in either one. I was really hoping that this year was gonna be my year. Guess I'll never get my rematch now, huh." Sekine said to everyone. "So after everything that's happened today, do you still plan to hold the competition?" Kogoro asked Achiwa.

"Well to be perfectly honest, I have no idea what we should do." Achiwa said to Kogoro. "Sir, you can't be serious! Just think about how it would look! Yajima was just beaten to death! There's no way you can call it off after that. He would insist that we play on!" Sekine said to Achiwa, surprising Allen, Janai, Conan, and Heiji, and no one else.

"You might want to watch what you say, mr. Sekine." Achiwa said to Sekine. "Sorry… Didn't mean to overstep." Sekine said to Achiwa. "I'm inspector Ayanokoji, detective with the Kyoto Police. If you have a moment, there are few questions we'd like to ask." Ayanokoji asked Sekine.

"Yeah, of course. Whatever you need." Sekine said to Ayanokoji. "This way, please." Ayanokoji said to Sekine, leading Sekine away. "Uh, yes sir." Sekine said to Ayanokoji, following him.

"Well Inspector, if we're done here, I think, I'll head back to Osaka." Achiwa said to Kogoro. "I think I will too. Yeah." Kogoro said to Achiwa, as the two of them started to leave.

"Hey guys, I think I know who the perp is." Heiji said to everyone. "So do I. Koji definitely killed Mr. Yajima." Conan said to everyone. "Let's not rush into things. All we can say is Sekine knows something he shouldn't. Other than that, we got nothing." Allen said to Conan.

"You're right. We don't have any trace of evidence that can tie him to the bombing of the station, targeting the Satsuki Association." Conan said to everyone. "Not yet. But I think you're on the right track with Achiwa and Momiji Ooka. We should keep tabs on them." Heiji said to Conan. "Yeah." Conan said to Heiji.

"Stay safe Heiji and Janai. Remember the game is still on, so stay and keep your eyes and ears open." Allen said to everyone, before they split up and went their separate ways.
