Hey guys and gals, welcome to SSSS Gridman: The Cyber Sleuth and man this was a tough chapter to work on.
I've been having trouble deciding how to write this chapter, since alot of characters show up in it.
So it was difficult to implement the Gridman parts but hopefully I got something down.
With that said, how about we get this story started.
Opening: Eiyuu from Ultraman Nexus
Heating comp
Third person P.O.V.
"TAKE THIS!" A large Birdramon yelled, as he threw several fire balls towards Kaito who leapt out of the way.
"Oh come on give me a break! I just wanted you to leave the heating system! You're causing it to Overheart!" Kaito yelled, swiping off some sweat.
"NO WAY! This is the only safe place I can go without having those jerky hackers hunting me down!" Birdramon yelled, flying over Kaito who gulped.
"This isn't going anywhere Kaito, we'll have to fight her and try to calm her down" Gridman said, as Kaito looked over at his partner.
"Yeah, doubt any of the others could handle this heat" Kaito nodded, as he summoned his Acceptor before looking down at it "You ready Gridman?".
"Yes, I am" Gridman then flew down in front of Kaito as the two of them looked at each other.
"Acceptor works by uniting two hearts into one, we must unite our souls in order to use its power."
"Okay…" Kaito said, closing his eyes for a few moments before opening them and raising the Acceptor.
"Access…" Kaitosaid, before moving his hand in front of his arm "…FLASH!"
"HUH?!" Birdramon yelled, getting blinded by the bright light from the transformation before being met by a punch to the face.
"Tch! You didn't tell me you were a Digimon! How did you do that transformation!" Birdramon yelled, as Gridman landed on the ground.
"Not exactly a Digimon, I'm something else" Gridman said, before striking position "You can't stay here but we can bring you somewhere better where you won't be targeted again".
"Like I'll ever believe that!" Birdramon yelled, throwing several fire balls towards Gridman.
Gridman leapt back to dodge the fireballs as he looked at the flying Digimon "Looks like we can't do this peacefully, fine".
He landed on the ground for a moment before dashing towards Birdramon at great speeds.
"Spark! Beaaaaaaaaaaaammmmmm!" He yelled, as energy charged into his fist before throwing an uppercut attack at the bird like Digimon.
"GAH!" Birdramon cried, getting pushed back before growling.
"You bastard! METEOR WING!" Birdramon yelled, as she flapped her wings before tossing tons of meteor like fireballs towards the Hyper Agent
Gridman tried dodging the blasts but they were able to him, doing surprisingly a lot of damage as the Hyper Agent was knocked back.
"The area must be powering up his attacks" Kaito guessed, as Gridman got back up "We might need some help for this".
"Yeah good idea, Frigimon lend me your power" Gridman said, lifting up his acceptor as an image of Frigimon appeared on it.
"GRR! WHAT ARE YOU BABBLING ABOUT! GET OUT OF HERE!" Birdramon yelled, covering himself in a fiery aura before dashing towards Gridman
Gridman leapt back from the attack as a blue aura covered his fist.
"SUB ZERO ICE PUNCH!" he yelled, throwing a fist which sent an icy wind which froze Birdramons body.
"W-What!" Birdramon yelled, struggling to break free.
"Now's our chance! Gridman!" Kaito yelled, with Gridman nodding.
We then see Gridman crossing his arms, charging energy into the Acceptor on his arm before he moves his arms upward and aimed towards Antimon.
"Grid Beam!" He yelled, firing a gold energy beam towards Birdramon causing a large explosion that knocked the Digimon back.
"Geh, damn it" Birdramon groaned, as Kaito returned to normal and walked up to the Digimon.
"I guess I'll have to go back to being by those jerks again" Birdramon sighed but Kaito blinked.
"What are you talking about?" Kaito asked, as he lifted up his acceptor "Like I said, we'll take you somewhere you can be safe".
"W-Wait, you telling the truth? Really" Birdramon asked, looking up at Kaito who smiled.
"Of course, it's not like you were trying to do something bad right?" Kaito nodded, making the Digimon grin.
"THANK YOU! THANK YOU SO MUCH!" Birdramon cheered, before turning into data and being absorbed into the acceptor.
"Guess that's that then, better go and call Kyoko" he said to himself before activating his Digivice.
"Hey Boss, managed to finish the case looks like it was a Digimon trying to find somewhere comfortable to stay" Kaito explained, as he looked at the image of Kyoko.
"Excellent work my fledgling assistant, I'll inform the client of the cases completion soon enough" Kyoko nodded with a proud smile.
"Want me to head back and make my report?" Kaito asked with a raised eyebrow.
"No need, it's already pretty late for you right? Head back home for now and work on the report there" Kyoko suggested, with Kaito nodding and hanging up before he proceeded to leave the computer comp.
Aiba Residence
Third person P.O.V.
"I'm back" Kaito called as he opened the door to his apartment and walked inside after taking off his shoes to see Haruka in the kitchen.
"Oh hey welcome back" Haruka hummed, as she waited for the kettle to boil "Just making some coffee, you want me"
Kaito froze for a bit as he looked at the boiling kettle, before moving his attention over to his sister "You're not going to put anything like chili, mayo or soy sauce are you?".
"...I'm sorry, what?" Haruka asked with a raised eyebrow while Gridman snickered from the reflection.
"Fufufu, seems the trauma's still affecting you" Gridman smirked, making Kaito sweatdrop.
"Ah um nothing just a…quirk? That my boss has" Kaito explained, as Haruka crossed her arms.
"Oh right, you did get a job didn't you" Haruka remembered, leaning on the counter "What are you again?"
"Heh, I'm a Cyber Sleuth" Kaito smiled, pointing his thumb to himself.
"...What is that, what even is that" She questioned, causing Kaito to stumble a bit.
"I'm…pretty much a gopher" Kaito sighed leaning on the wall "Go for this, go for that you know".
"Riiiiiggghhttt" Haruka nodded, as she lifted up the kettle to start making some coffee.
A ringing sound was then heard making Kaito blink as he lifted up his Digivce and answered.
"Hello? Oh hey Noki-" "KAITO! I NEED YOUR HELP!".
"Jeez Nokia! Calm down, you scared me there" Kaito jumped, making the girl gulp.
"R-Right sorry didn't mean to scare you…I just, I just really need your help" Nokia admitted while looking down.
"Alright, whats up?" Kaito asked, taking the cup of coffee from his sister and taking a set on the couch.
"I-It's just…I keep thinking about those guys from before, Agumon and Gabumon…" Nokia frowned, surprising Kaito "That place Kowloon is so dangerous! With the hackers, other Digimon and that weird monster thing…I just can't help but worry about them".
"Hmm…so you want me to help you find them? To check if they're okay" Kaito asked, as Noki nodded from the other side "Alright sure thing".
"Really! Oh thank you! Thank you! Thank you!"
"It's nothing, just meet me in the Kuremi Detective Agency tomorrow and we can talk about more there" Kaito suggested, with Nokia nodding.
"Sure thing! I'll even make it an official case for you guys" Nokia nodded with an earnest gin "I'll see you tomorrow then, bye!".
Hanging up and taking off his Digivice, Kaito was met by the smug smile of his sister looking at him.
"And who was that~~~ She sounded pretty" Haruka asked, peering over at him as Kaito sighed.
"She's just a friend asking for help nothing more" Kaito shrugged, sipping some of his coffee.
"Yeah besides theres another girl he likes, beginning with Y" Gridman said, causing Kaito to spit out his coffee.
"Woah! What the heck!" Haruka yelled, as Kaito coughed a bit.
"S-Sorry, just went down weird" Kaito apologised while giving a slight glare to his Hyper Agent partner.
"Ugh, you're cleaning this up I'm going to study" Haruka groaned walking off as Kaito went to clean up the table.
As Haruka walked back into her room she laid down on her bed before pulling something out.
"I wonder when I'll get to use this thing again" she smiled, looking at an app on her Digivice that looked like the Hilt of Samurai Caliber in sword form.
The next day
Detective Agency
Third person P.O.V.
"Huh, so this is where you work" Nokia mumbled, as the two walked up to the detective agency "It's certainly…cozy?".
"Yeah but hey it does the job" Kaito shrugged, opening the door to see Kyoko already there "Ah morning Kuremi-san, I got us a new client".
"A new client?" Kyoko questioned, raising an eyebrow as she looked over at Nokia walking in next to him.
"H-Hey, I'm Nokia…I'm a friend of Kaitos that needed his help" Nokia said, as Kaito looked over at his boss.
"I hope its alright that I brought here, it was about the digimon and I didn't know where also to go" Kaito explained, making the detective smirk.
"Of course I don't mind, Detectives like us don't get to pick our clients, as long as they can pay" Kyoko told him off before glancing
"O-Of course I c-can!" Nokia jumped with a crooked smile before leaning over to Kaito "Why didn't you tell me about her being so intimidating".
"Because she'd kill me other wise" he whispered back, but Kyoko heard this and smirked.
"Anyway let's get down to business, what did you want from my little assistant?" She asked, with Nokia nodding.
"Right, yeah I wanted to ask him to find some Digimon for me" Nokia explained, causing Kyoko to blink in surprise.
"Find some Digimon?".
"Yeah, when we first came to Kowloon there was some Digimon that we managed to befriend, they helped us get to the exit but they were left behind during the attack" Kaito explained, with Nokia looking down.
"I'm just so worried about them…but I know it's too dangerous for me to go searching around Kowloon all by myself and I'm scared. So please! Can you help me! Kaito!" Nokia begged, causing Kaito to scratch his cheek.
"Nokia…".
"Hmm, her attachment to the Digimon is certainly interesting…almost reminds me of you" Gridman noted, as Kyoko crossed her arms.
"Well, she asked for you specifically," Kyoko seriously stated. "I'm inclined to leave it to you. What do you say?"
"Of course I accept," Kaito smirked, pumping his chest "I'm a Cyber Sleuth after all."
"Really?" Nokia brightened at hearing his answer. "You'll help me? Yes!"
She then followed this up and quickly rushed towards Kaito to hug him tightly before she realised what she just did and stepped back "S-Sorry…".
Kyoko smirked as she sipped her coffee before looking over at Kaito "If you've taken on this job, be sure to see it through to the end. It'll reflect on the agency's reputation. She'll probably be good advertising for us."
"Oh, so that's why you were okay with this" Kaito said, giving her a look but Nokia smiled.
"Nah I don't mind, if it means helping those little guys I don't mind talking about this place on my socials" Nokia nodded, with a grin.
"Excellent, well then get started on you investigation already" Kyoko waved off, with the two nodding before leaving the agency.
After they did however the screen flashed on, revealing Gridman on the screen as he turned to the detective.
"Is something the matter, Gridman?" She asked, with a raised eyebrow.
"Nothing important, I was just wondering why you seemed a lot more open to this? Letting someone Kaito's knows could lead to them finding out about the two of us" Gridman asked, as Kyoko leaned back.
"I suppose I was a little perplexed by this offbeat case. Hunting for Digimon… People are totally careless when it comes to their affections, be they real or digital. It doesn't make any difference." Kyoko explained, as Gridman crossed his arms.
"I suppose that's just another part that makes Humans the way they are" Gridman noted, with Kyoko smirking.
"Well this is certainly going to be interesting"
Galactica Park
Third person P.O.V.
"Ugh I still don't like coming here" Nokia shivered, as the two walked through the destroyed playground-like area.
"Yeah it is a bit weird why there's so much of this stuff here" he said, scratching his cheek letting Nokai get a look at his Acceptor.
"Woah! Ho! Ho!" Nokia grinned, as she grabbed the boys wrist and examined the device "Didn't imagine you'd be the kind of guy to have bling like this Kaito".
"It's not bling, Nokia, its a device I got that'll help manage my Digimon" he explained, as Nokia turned her head "Uh what do you mean?"
"Uh how do I put this…it basically let's me store my Digimon into this place called the Digifarm, which is like an Island resort where they can play, hang out and train, as well as bring them out when I need their help in a fight" he explained, showing it off.
"Woah! Do all hackers get something like that? Didn't picture them as treating Digimon like that" Nokia blinked, but Kaito shook his head.
"Not really, its one of a kind" Kaito explained, making the girl pout.
"Well that's boring…anyway, let's g-!" Nokia said, but Kaito grabbed her shoulder.
"Hold on, you shouldn't get too far from me, we don't know if there are any hackers nearby" Kaito told her, making the girl blink.
"Ah crud, your totes right! And I don't even have any Digimon with me" Nokia gulped, before moving up to Kaito "Y-You're gonna protect me right".
"Course, I wouldn't be a good Cyber Sleuth otherwise" Kaito smiled, offering his arm which Nokia took to hold on to as they walked through Kowloon.
The two proceeded to make their way through the hacker hideout, deciding to skip the first floor area as Kaito had already explored every nook and cranny of the area with no clue on them, leading them to the only other accessible floor.
"So this is the second floor…" Nokia gulped, as the two walked around the area "Man its even creepier than the other floor".
"Well you do kinda get used to this place" Kaito hummed while looking around before lifting up his Acceptor "Really it's not as bad as it looks, just a few hackers…but we could use a bit of help…".
"Well of course you're used to that stuff! That's your job" Nokia pouted, before seeing what Kaito was doing "Uh, what are you doing?".
"Biyomon! Patamon!"
"Woah!" Nokia jumped, covering her eyes by the sudden bright light before blinking as she saw the two Digimon materialise in front of her.
"Aw! What cuties!" She gushed, as Kaito walked up and explained the situation, seeing if they could scope out the place for Agumon and Gabumon, which they agreed to before flying off.
"So we're just waiting here?" Nokia asked, sitting down as Kaito shrugged.
"Yeah, exploring this place can be really tiring so its better to have the Digimon go since they can fly around" Kaito shrugged, making Nokia sweatdrop.
"Quite the slave driver aren't you" Nokia said dryly as Kaito looked over at her.
"It's not like that, we're friends I just asked them for a favour" Kaito stated, making her giggle.
"Right, actually that reminds me…".
Kaito blinked as he looked over at the girl with a raised eyebrow "Something up, Nokia?".
"Well I was just wondering…you're a Hacker now, just like me…you don't do any of that illegal stuff, do you?" Nokia asked, making Kaito blink.
"What? Of course not" Kaito denied, with a frown "I'm a Cyber Sleuth remember, it's my job to stop things like that".
"Ah, right right, sorry just making sure" Nokia nodded, before crossing her arms "But still you say you're a 'Cyber Sleuth'… I still don't really get it. Aren't you just a normal detective's assistant?"
"Aah, I wouldn't exactly call it normal…" Kaito admitted while scratching his cheek.
"Huh? What do you mean?" Nokia asked, moving in closer.
"Uuuh, I really don't think I should tell you" Kaito said, making the girl pout.
"What! Oh come on! We're best friends, aren't we? And IRL now! We always tell each other everything! Tell me, tell me, tell me! What's the big secret?" Nokia yelled, playfully punching his arm.
"Okay okay, geez fine! I mostly investigate hacking jobs or virus attacks involving Eden, sometimes even having to take on some Digimon causing problems" Kaito explained, looking at her.
"See! Why did you have to keep that! I would have understood" Nokia asked, only for Kaito to smirk.
"Oh no that was just the normal stuff, theres no way I'm telling you the weird stuff" Kaito smirked, making the girl pout
"WHAT! COME ON!".
A few minutes later
Kowloon Lv 3
Third person P.O.V.
"Hmm…" Nokia hummed, uncomfortably as she and Kaito walked through the next floor of Kowloon after not finding anything in Lv 2.
"I can't believe we had to help that Hacker figure out how to get a girlfriend just to get through here" Nokia sighed, shaking her head.
"Yeah…I still don't think he really understood what I meant, I mean what does he expect? Get himself a bunch of buff Digimon to impress a girl?" Kaito asked, jokingly making Nokia laugh a bit.
"Yeah that sounds like something that guy would do" Nokia grinned, before looking around again.
"Hey uh Kaito…you go to Kowloon pretty often right?" Nokia asked, looking worried as Kaito looked back at her.
"Uh yeah, pretty often…why do you ask?" He questioned with a raised eyebrow.
"I was thinking earlier…" Nokia frowned. "Kowloon has this sort of dangerous vibe to it. How can I put it? It's just weird or something. The one thing that really struck me after coming here was how dangerous hackers really are," she said with a nervous smile before sighing.
"I'm so glad you came along when you did, I don't think I would have survived her on my own" Nokia thanked, making Kaito smile.
"Hehe, no prob-""Ack, whoa!" the girl cried out of nowhere, quickly grabbing onto him much to Kaito's confusion
"Huh? What is it!?" Kaito asked, completely confused as he reached for the Acceptor
"Yikes, did you see something over there just now?" She haphazardly pointed in multiple directions, confusing the boy. "You saw it, right? You had to have seen it! I just caught a glimpse of it, but it was there!"
"I… didn't see anything…" he sighed as he took a good look around the area
"Don't tell me there was nothing there!" Nokia yelled, glaring at him. "It was absolutely there! I swear I'm not lying!"
"I'm not saying you're lying," Kaito shook his head. "I'm just saying I didn't see it."
"It was there!"
"Okay, but I—"
"I saw it!"
"I BELIEVE YOU!" Kaito finally yelled back before huffing "It was probably just a Digimon roaming around, maybe even Agumon and Gabumon, did you see where it went?".
"So I was over there and it was there. Wait…" she paused looking around as she walked to another spot. "No, I was here and it was there, right?"
"Okay…what did it look like?" Kaito asked, crossing his arms as Ann began sweating.
"Well, I… It was just for a second, so I don't know the size or shape, but, but…" She flashed the boy a wry grin. "I was so scared I guess I plum forgot,"
Kaito sighed, scratching his cheek while giving her a look she didn't appreciate.
"Don't give me that look. I don't need your pity." She shook her head. "But really! I really saw it! Or… I mean I'm pretty sure I did…"
"Look its probably just a Digimon that was roaming around this place, if it was Aguman and Gabumon then they definitely would have rushed to you" Kaito noted, with Nokia nodding.
"Yeah that's a good point" Nokia nodded, calming down a bit "They even said my smell was reassuring and familiar when we first met, does that mean I was right and I had met them befor-eep!".
Nokia jumped as Kaito moved in to give her a sniff, making the girl slap him "WHAT THE HECK ARE YOU DOING!".
"Sorry! Sorry! I just thought it'd be a funny joke, meant to surprise you since you seemed all tense" Kaito apologised rubbing his head.
"Ugh, its fine just don't do that again geez '' Nokia grumbled while messing with her hair a bit.
Kaito sweatdropped as he got up and rolled his neck before the two heard something.
"Hey! What are you doing?" the voice asked in panic.
"Knock it off!" another voice whimpered.
"Huh? You heard that right? I'm not just hearing things against right?" Nokia asked, looking at Kaito for confirmation.
"I did, that was definitely Agumon and Gabumon, they're in trouble!" Kaito said, making Nokia eyes widen.
"THEY ARE! HANG ON! I'M COMING!" Nokia yelled, before dashing off extremely quickly much to Kaito's surprise and confusion.
"H-Huh…guess I should go after her" Kaito said, as he followed her lead.
End of Kowloon Level 3
Third person P.O.V.
Nokia spotted the two Digimon being harassed by a pair of hackers wearing Zaxon vests.
"I knew it! "It's my little Digimon pals! They must be in danger! Let's hurry!" Nokia yelled, dashing ahead as Kaito followed behind.
"W-Wait! Nokia, hang on!" He called out, following the hyper girl.
"Hooold on a second!" Nokia called out to the hackers. "What are you doing to those critters?"
Agumon and Gabumon brightened as soon as they saw her. "Nokia!?"
"Huh?" a blue-vested hacker turned around. He frowned at the two red-haired teens before speaking in a thick accent. "What're you gonna do about it? We found these things fair and square and hat means we can do whatever we want with 'em! You got a problem with that?"
"As a matter of fact, I do have a problem with it!" she yelled, tiny body began to shake. "In fact, I've got nothing but problems! Are you ready for me, punks?
"Nokia…!?" Kaito blinked, surprised at the sudden change 'She's acting completely different…but in this kind of situation.
"Nokia, you're so cool!" Agumon cheered her on.
"Agumon, please don't encourage her!" Kaito sighed shaking his head.
A green-vested hacker crossed his arms as he looked Nokia over. "Oh really now? And what are you gonna do about these problems, hmmm? You know, you're almost my type, too,"
The smug smirk growing on his face caused Nokia to let out a shriek before the first hacker immediately took advantage of her weakness as he got closer.
"What could you possibly do? We're Zaxon hackers!" He boasted, making Kaito sweatdrop "Cross us and there's a thousand ways you'll live to regret it."
"I've had enough of this, Kaito mind if I take control?" Gridman asked, as Kaito looked over at his partner before nodding.
"Sure like I'd believe that, you're probably just a bunch of posers" They heard looking over at Kaito who was now controlled by Gridman as his eyes flashed yellow and he crossed his arms.
"Huh what was that!" The green member yelled, glaring at him "What do you know about us of Team Zaxon".
'Mention someone named Yuugo, I think that should give them a scare' Kaito suggesged as Gridman nodded.
"Because I've met a few of the members and even though I only met him once, I know Yuugo wouldn't want guys like you around" Gridman said, causing their eyes to widen.
"H-Holy shit!" "H-He know Yuugo! T-This can't be!" They both said, Gridman raised an eyebrow.
'Thank god, I wasn't sure if Yuugo is a high level member I was just guessing' Kaito mentally sighed.
"Eh? Eh? What's going on! Who's this Yuugo guy!" Nokia questioned, looking around.
"So how about you leave now, before I tell Yuugo about what you've been doing" Gridman smirked, walking up to them as the hackers gulped.
"L-Like I'll believe that!" One hacker yelled, glaring at Gridman
"Y-Yeah! You're just fucking with us!" The other yelled, as the two summoned their Digimon, which consisted of a Goblimon and a Black Gatomon.
"Nokia, get Aguman and Gabumon back" Gridman said, with Nokia nodding before running towards the other Digimon to get them away.
Kaito then took back control as he raised his Acceptor, allowing him to summon both Gargomon and Togomon
Gargomons was first to attack, firing several energy blasts from his guns which the two digimons swiftly dodged out of the way from.
Goblimon then leapt into the air to swing its club at Gargomon, but Togomon quickly rushed in and blocked the attack.
"Togomon! Use Needle Spray and hit them both!" Kaito called as the Digimon shot out several sharp needles towards the Digimon.
"Oh crud! Goblimon put up a shield!" The green Hacker yelled, as the Goblin Digimon materialised a shield to protect him but the Black Gatomon was still hit knocking him back.
"N-no way! There's a hacker this strong outside of Zaxon?" The Blue Hacker gulped as Gargomon rushed in.
Black Gatomon quickly recovered and rushed in as well, with the two of them throwing simultaneous punches that knocked each other back.
Gargomon was able to recover from the attack thanks to Togomons help while Black Gatomon was knocked into his Hacker.
The two digimon then turned to Goblimon and his Hacker who shrieked, with Goblimon returning to his Hackers Digivice.
"I think that pretty much answers how the rest of this fight will go" Kaito sweatdropped, as his Digimon returned to his acceptor.
""Wow! Y-you were really something just there! So awesome!" Nokia grinned, walking up to Kaito.
"WAAAH! So cool! You're awesome Kaito" Gabumon smiled, as he and Agumon ran up to him.
"Yeah! Just like when you transformed into that superhero thing!" Agumon jumped causing Kaito's eyes to widen.
"Superhero?" Nokia questioned, as Kaito laughed awkwardly.
"Pay it no mind, let's just get out of here before more come to check on them" Kaito suggested, with Nokia nodding but before the two could leave.
"Non, non, non… You kids… don't rock!"
"That voice!" One of the hackers cried out.
"It's Jimiken-san!" His friend nodded in surprise.
"What? Jimiken?" Nokia blinked, as the girl was taken aback. "You mean the Jimiken?!"
Kaito raised an eyebrow as he turned around to see this Jimiken walking towards them.
"YEAH! I. AM. JIMIKEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEENNNNNN!" Jimiken was a young man with green eyes, and long black hair. He wears a white makeup on the face, with a purple star with black borders around the left eye, a black choker, an open black jacket, and long black fingerless elbow gloves with three zippers on it, a circular hole on the top of the hand, and a metallic sphere ornament on each knuckle. He also wears black pants with three zippers on each leg, a black belt with a square metallic buckle, and black boots with a purple inner part, and a zipper in the front. His pants also have two stars on the right side of the back; one star on top is purple with a white outline, and the other under it is completely white.
"So this Jimiken…is just a huge clown" Gridman sighed, as they looked at the man playing on an air guitar.
"Hey, hey, hey!" Jimiken shook his head as he studied the two defeated hackers. "HEY, HEY, HEY! You kids, you aren't rad at all! What happened to make you so un-hip? Tell me, please, like as soon as poss!"
"So sorry, Jimikien-san!" the green-vested hacker apologised. He quickly pointed over to Nokia. "That girl's totally my type and she stole my heart."
"Wow! An excuse!" Jimiken shook his head. "Totally not rockin'. So far from rock 'n' roll! Right?"
"If I had to choose lyrics to suit you… 'Inside out, you worthless lout, even the heavens are gonna give up on you!' It's perfect for you, makes me wanna puke," he sighed, while shaking his head before crossing his arms into an 'X' in front of his chest. "Are you feeling me?"
"We feel you!" the blue-vested hacker nodded with a smile.
"Well, then. Ooo-kay!" Jimiken exclaimed with a satisfied smirk.
He next focused his attention onto the two teens staring at him. Kaito having a bored looking expression which irritated the rockstar.
"Now then, you two. You little fools took a hand to these punks?" He asked, pointing to the two of them.
"Well yeah they were acting like idiots who could do whatever they want, why wouldn't we want to teach them a lesson" Kaito said nonchalantly while Nokia had a different reaction
"But why, Jimiken, why?" She asked, horror clear on her face.
"A foolish question, that," Jimiken said, bringing a hand up to his forehead. "Very foolish! So foolish, it rox my soxx! I may be a superstar! Ooh! But I have one more face! Oooooh!"
"I-Is he singing?!" Gridman questioned, completely baffled.
"What?" Nokia frowned at him, slightly confused.
"To the world I am a superstar~~~~! But behind the scenes, I'm a top-ranking member of the Zaxon hacker team! What do you think of that?" he sternly gazed at them as he flashed them hand horns.
"Ah…guess they were trying to find whoever would be interested to help manage, Zaxon's pretty big after all" Kaito deduced.
"It rocks!" the blue-vested hacker fist-pumped. "It's the devil's rock 'n' roll!"
"Yeah, baby!" Jimiken exclaimed. He shook his head though as it seemed the two red-haired teens didn't understand his vision. "But you two! Why give them a hard time over a little thing like Digimon? It's kinda rad but…"
"Hmm? Why wouldn't we, those two helped us out before so we're paying them back" Kaito explained, pointing to the two Digimon.
"Y-Yeah! Celebrity or not I'm not letting your hurt my pals" Nokia exclaimed with a determined look.
"You're kidding, right?" Jimiken sneered at them before snickering "You've gotta be joking. Wait, could you two possibly be those kinda folks who say pets are 'family'?"
"Considering they're both walking and talking, I'd say they're at least more than a pet" Kaito sweatdropped, before peering over at Nokia "What about you- Nokia?".
"I-I'm sorry, just my MP is way down. It's been at zero for a while." She said, looking over at her friend with clear disappointment on her face "To think of all my hard-earned money, wasted. Ohhh, I wanna just curl up and die."
"I mean, I could have told you that…his music isn't even good" Kaito bluntly scoffed.
"Huh?! What was that you little brat You want a fight with me? It's not rock if I don't answer your challenge! My style is to go easy on no one, even scum."
"You're rockin' it too much, Jimiken!" "Yee-hawww! Knock 'em sideways, Jimiken!" Two hackers cheered/
"Whoa!" Nokia froze up, as Agumon and Gabumon looked up at her in curious concern
"Nokia is really out of it. What happened to her?" Gabumon asked, as Kaito sweatdropped.
"I think she's just kinda in shock" Kaito guessed, scratching his cheek.
"Let's try cheering her on," Agumon suggested. "Uh, go for it, Nokia!"
"Sorry… Agumon… Gabumon…I can't… keep… going… There's no way I can stand up to his Dream Crush attack." Nokia said, looking down with clear shock on her face.
"His…Dream Cru- oooooohhhhhh, clever" Kaito snickered, realising what she said but Agumon and Gabumon were still clueless.
"Okay thats it! Imma crush both of you! Come on out boys! Jimiken scream, p;auing on his air guitar as three Digimon appeared behind him.
The Digimons behind were two Meramons which looked very intimidating as they loomed over the two teens.
"Kaito, this may be difficult, should we try and transform?" Gridman asked, as Kaito shook his head.
"No, I'd rather not let Nokia know" he said, before lifting up his Acceptor "Growlmon! Frigimon!".
Summoning the two Digimon as all 4 six Digimon rushed towards each other to begin fighting.
The first Meramon rushed into attack with a fiery punch which was blocked by Growlmon who was pushed back a bit by the attack.
Growlmon then spun around, slapping Meramon with his tail, knocking Digimon back.
However the other Meramon jumped in and caught his brother but the two did skid back a bit.
"ALright you two! Try combining your attacks then!" Jimiken sun as the two Meramons charged up some attacks.
"Burning Fist!" The two yelled as they then jumped into the air and sent flame charged punches right at Growlmon who took the attack at Kaito's command.
"AWWWW YEAH BABYYYYYYYYYYYY!" Jimiken cheered, playing on his air guitar as the two Meramons landed on the ground.
"FRIGIMON NOW!"
However much to their surprise, Frigimon suddenly leapt from behind Growlmon and readied hist fist.
"SUB ZERO ICE PUNCH!" Frigimon yelled, before punching the ground sending a wave of Ice Energy that froze the Meramons in place.
"HUH?! What the fuck?!" Jimiken gawked, before noticing Growlmon grinning as he dashed towards the two frozen Digimon.
"NOW! FINISH IT!".
"COMET HAMMER!" Growlmon leapt into the air before swinging at the two Frozen Digimon, shattering the ice and sending them flying back before changing to data and returning to Jimikens Digivice.
"What the heck! These Digmon suck! Couldn't even handle a freakin rookie!" Jimiken groaned, rubbing and shaking his head.
"What are you talking about! You're the one that sucks" Nokia pouted, glaring at Jimiken.
"Yeah I mean all you did was boast about your Digimon, you didn't give them any direction at all" Kaito said, crossing his arms.
"Whoa! The fury of the flowerbed!" Jimiken joked, backing away from her before smirking. "So ya know, I ain't even gotten serious yet! Come on out my Devi~~~~l!".
Jimiken then raised his hand and snapped his finger causing the Devil like Digimon to rise up from behind with a sinister grin.
"DEATH CLAW!" Devimon screamed, as he sent powerful slashes at both Growlmon and Frigimon them flying back.
"GUYS!" Kaito screamed, as his two Digimon were turned into data and sent back to his Digivice.
"AND NOW FINISH! IT BABYYYYYYYY!" Jimiken sang, as Devimon began charging up a dark energy ball.
"Kaito! We have no choice! We'll have to transform" Gridman said, as Kaito gripped his hand.
"Alright…" he nodded, raising his acceptor as Devimon threw the energy ball towards him but before anything could happen.
"That's enough".
Suddenly a red blur jumped in the way of the blast causing a large explosion which pushed them all back.
"AH WHAT THE HECK?!" Nokia yelled, covering her eyes.
Kaito's eyes widened as he saw the silhouette of some kind of dinosaur or dragon in the smoke, but when it dispersed it revealed someone standing there.
It was man that looked to be in his early twenties with dark red hair with blue highlights and yellow eyes. He was currently wearing a black tank tops with blue trousers and yellow shoes with a blue Zaxon jacket hanging on his shoulders.
Everyone was either scared or confused by the man's sudden appearance as he looked around before turning his attention to Kaito.
"Oi, were you the one fighting with those Digimon" He asked, as Kaito gulped with a nod while Jimiken grinned.
"AW YEAH BABY! THIS IS EVEN BETTER! HAHA, YOU'RE ABOUT TO GET YOUR ASS-" "SHUT UP!".
Jimiken shut up at the mans glare before he turned back to Kaito "What's you name kid".
"K-Kaito…Kaito Aiba…" he answered as the man stared down at him before grinning.
"Kaito…THAT'S A PRETTY GOOD NAME" The man grinned, as he began rubbing his head "Guess Yuugo was right, you are pretty cool! Hehe, call me Gauma!".
"H-Huh, You know Yuugo" Kaito blinked, before they heard more foot steps.
"It's been awhile, Kaito".
Everyone then turned their attention to see Yuugo walking towards them with another woman walking next to him.
It was a young woman with light blue eyes, brown hair, which is worn in a large odango, apparently formed by braids, and a small chest. She wears a yellow hair clip in the right side of the hair black and yellow cropped cheongsam and a white and light blue jacket with a white losangle in the light blue part of the arm, and black gloves. The white and light blue parts of the jackets are separated by blue borders. She wears a yellow cloth tied in the waist like a belt, black pants with a yellow vertical line on each side, and black and white sneakers.
"Yuugo…"
"YIKES! He wasn't kidding!" "We gotta get out of here!" The two hackers yelped, as they began running away.
"Hey, hey, hey! What a coincidence, running into you here like this," Jimiken chuckled, walking towards Yuugo "Mr Leader of Team Zaxon, Yuugo-san."
"Huh?! H-He's the leader" Nokia gasped, while Gauma grinned.
"Yup, he's the boss alright and not bad too" Gauma smirked, letting go of Kaito as he went back to Yuugo and the woman.
"No more of this high-handed foolishness. Your style has led the group too far astray, Kaito was right everyone under your hand is just using our name to do whatever they want" Yuugo stated, glaring at Jimiken
"What?" Jimiken laughed at the boy's serious tone. "You might be the team leader, but you think you can just tell me what to do when I'm your buddy and one of your top dawgs? You lording your power over me? Forcing your hand?"
"Oh shut it you annoying little dick!" Gauma growled and the girl beside Yuugo narrowed her eyes on him, but Yuugo shook his head at her.
"Zaxon's rules must never be broken, you should know that" he calmly stated, making Jimiken agitated..
"Rules?" the man mockingly repeated. "Those have long gone by the wayside, baby! Of course," he laughed, "it was me who got rid of most of them. Rock 'n' rooooolllll!"
"Is this how you're going to be talking to our leader" The girl scoffed, crossing her arms.
"Oh hey if it isn't the great and mighty Fei-sama coming for little old me" Jimiken mocked looking at the girl with a smug look.
"I'll say this one more time, Zaxon's rules-" Yuugo tried to say before Jimiken broke into a fit of laughter.
"You're kidding, right? You big kidder, you! It's a rockin' joke. I'm tellin' you! Super hacker Yuugo-san's gonna set me straight? No way! No way, no ho-gah!" Jimiken cringed as he was suddenly punched in the face by Gauma.
"Oh shut your trap you little bastard, don't go thinking you can do whatever the hell you want!" Gauma yelled, glaring at Jimiken.
Everyone else couldn't help but smile at the annoying Rock star getting put in his place as he got back up.
"Geez man what the heck, learn to take a joke! It's just a joke! Like, why so serious, amirite?" He shook his head as he had enough of all this. "All right. I'm gonna jet here in a bit. I've got shows and gigs and all that to do! Buh-byyye!"
Everyone watched as the rockstar ran off like a chicken without his head before Kaito and Yuugo sighed with relief.
"So, uh, how long are y'all gonna just stand there looking stupid?" Fei asked, crossing her arms as she turned to the two teens.
"What? Oh uh sorry, this has just been really confusing" Nokia apologised while rubbing her head.
"So you're another admin of Zaxon?" Kaito asked, making Gauma grin.
"Well she is, I just like helping my bud Yuugo" Gauma said, flashing them with a toothy grin as Fei studied the two.
"I don't know what hacker group y'all're in, but we'll overlook this for now. Go on, now. Git." she shooed the two away which annoyed Nokia.
"What was that?! Why are you suddenly treating us like that!" Nokia yelled at her but Fei ignored her, turning her attention over towards Agumon and Gabumon and smiled at them.
"Hey, look at the sweet Digimon! Can I have 'em?" She asked walking towards them, but Nokia quickly ran forward to protect her two friends.
"You think you can just show up and say that?" she defiantly asked glaring at them.. "As if! I'm not giving them to you!"
"Nokia!" Kaito said, running in between the two of them "Theres no reason to fight, she's just trying to mess with you".
"Oh you seem pretty calm, not tense liek your friend at all…you seriously think you have a chance against us"
"Trust me I may be just a starting out with this hacking stuff, but you're nothing compared to me" Kaito smirked, as he lifted up his acceptor.
"Ohhoho! No wonder I liked you! Get them buddy!" Gauma grinned, cheering for Kaito as Yuugo studied the device.
'That Device…it's just like…' Yuugo thought, before his eyes widened as he turned to Fei and Gauma
"Enough, Fei, Gauma. This is a pointless argument. Let's go." Yuugo said, turning around before looking back at Kaito with a serious look.
"Yuugo…" Kaito mumbled before his eyes widened looking down at the Acceptor.
"Aww, shucks. And I was just feelin' purdy good about it, too." Gauma pouted as he followed Yuugo while Fei shook her head before looking back towards Kaito and Nokia.
"We'll probably have the chance to meet all y'all again sometime, so don't forget us, hear? I know I ain't forgettin' that face! See y'all later!" she called, before following the other two.
Kaito watched Yuugo walking with a serious look before Nokia ran towards him and shook his shoulder.
"Who the heck was that?!" Nokia yelled with a glare, shaking the Cyber Sleuth before noting Agumon jumping up to her.
"Hooray, it's Nokia! Nokia came for us!" Agumon cheered, jumping into Nokia's arms while Gabumon bowed to her. "Thank you for saving us!"
Nokia frowned at that as she put Agumon down "Oh, I didn't do anything. If you want to thank someone, thank Kaito."
"Eh?" Kaito blinked as Nokia pushed him towards Agumon and Gabumon both Digimon gratefully smiled at him.
"Thank you!" They smiled, as Kaito couldn't help but scratch his cheek awkwardly.
"Hehe, you're kind of cute when you're like that Kaito, still this place gives me the creeps. Let's get out of here for now." Nokia pleaded with Kaito nodding as they made their way back to Galacta Park.
"I feel much better back here, don't you?" Nokia sighed, leaning on one of the large teddy bear.
"If you say so…" he said, as he stared at the creepy playground equipment in the area.
The girl giggled before kneeling before the two Digimon they just rescued. "Aw, Agumon, Gabumon! I'm glad you're okay!"
"But how did you guys end up in Kowloon's third level?" Kaito asked, with a raised eyebrow.
"We felt like seeing you again, so we came looking for you! That's when we ran into those scary guys…" Gabumon frowned, with a scared expression on his face.
"Yeah! It was way too close! If they had captured us we would have been doomed!" Agumon growned, stomping his foot.
"I've actually been meaning to ask about that? Why are there so many Digimon wandering around like animals? I mean, aren't you programs created by hackers?" Nokia asked, as Kaito looked at her.
"That's actually a good question, I never even considered that" Kaito admitted, rubbing his head .
"True, why would hackers bother making them sentient" Gridman noted, crossing his arms.
Agumon stared at her blankly. "You think that we…"
"…were created by humans?" Gabumon finished, before the burst into a fit of laughter.
"Uuuuuhhh, is something funny?" Kaito asked, crossing his arms.
"They said didn't they?" "They did! They really did! HAHAHAHA! They said humans made us!".
"Huh?! You mean we didn't" Nokia questioned, completely confused as Gabumon looked at her
"Check this, Nokia, we come from a different world than the one you humans know." Surprising the two humans and the hyper agent.
"A 'different world'?!" Nokia exclaimed as the girl was taken aback by this startling fact.
"Yeah! Yeah! A totally different place called the Digital World!" Aguman smiled, making Kaito blink.
"You know in retrospect on what I've seen, it does make sense…" Kaito sweatdropped while crossing his arms.
"Mirei did mention something about a Digital world, so maybe this has something to with why am I here" Gridman wondered, as Kaito nodded.
"Do you mind telling us a bit about this 'Digital World' or how you got here" Kaito asked, as the two looked at him and nodded
"Okay! Well normally, the Digital World where Digimon live and the human world aren't connected," Agumon explained. "But something happened and now the two worlds come together from time to time."
"That's why there are so many Digion wandering about, lost in your world," Gabumon nodded. "Those scary guys capture Digimon and force them to do whatever they're ordered to do!"
"We can only exist in digital space," Agumon added. "But nearly all the digital space in the human world was created by humans. That might be why we get mistaken for programs made by humans."
"So…whoever was the one connecting the two worlds…" Kaito whispered, looking down.
"Is most likely the one I was after in the first place" Gridman deduced, crossing his arms.
"Well? Do you understand?" the simultaneously asked, looking up at Nokia who sweatdropped
"Uh, yes, I do. I see. I think…" Nokia smiled awkwardly before looking over at Kaito with a desperate look.
"Hah alright, pretty much Digimon are inhabitants of the Digital World, and the Digimon we see here, like Agumon and Gabumon, are lost in this world." Kaito explained to her as Nokia nodded.
"Okay I think I get it now, so you guys are basically lost, right?" Nokia asked, but Agumon shook his head
"Actually me and Gabumon are different! We came to this world of our own free will." Agumon explained, as Gridman looked at them surprised.
"There's something we need to do here," Gabumon nodded.
"Something you need to do?" Nokia asked. "What would that be?"
Gabumon frowned as he tried to recall their reason for leaving the Digital World. "That would be…ummm…"
"Oh? Something you can't talk about? I-It wouldn't be… world domination… would it?" Nokia asked, half jokingly and half serious.
"Th-that's not it," Agumon denied, shaking his head while Gabumon frowned "The truth is… we can't remember,"
"Huh?! Amnesia!" Nokia gasped, as Gridman looked to them and frowned.
"So…they're just like me" he frowned, crossing his arms as Kaito looked at his partner with a worried look.
"I know it was something really important too…" Agumon frowned, looking down.
"I really wanna know, who we were before this…" Gabumon admitted, trying to remember.
"Agumon… Gabumon…" Nokia sadly frowned at them. She shook her head and put on a wide smile for them. "It's gonna be okay! Trust me! You'll remember it soon! I'm sure of it! And I can help you! Let's do our best to help each other out until you remember, okay?"
"Nokia…" Kaito blinked, before snickering "You always have a way with words, huh?".
"Nokia…You're Nokia!" Gabumon smiled, looking up at her.
"Yeah! We'll just do our to try and remember" Agumon grinned, jumping up and down.
"So what are you guys going to try your best at anyways?" Kaito asked, with a smirked causing Nokia to freeze up.
"Um, right…" Nokia said, as she averted her gaze awkwardly.
"I kinda figured trying our best would be enough, like running toward a point on the horizon or feeling you could do anything with enough energy, you know that stuff" She explained, before sighing.
"You don't have any idea what to do, huh Nokia" Kaito snickered, as he crossed his arms.
"Fine! I admit it! But we should at least start by doing our best to think about what we should do!" she decided, with a confidant nod.
"Okay, Nokia!" Agumon nodded. "I might not understand this, but I'm willing to do my best now!"
"I'll do my best, too!" Gabumon exclaime, before looking down shyly.
Kaito noticed his shyness before smiling "You know, I was going to offer you guys to stay at the Digifarm so you stay safe, but how about you three stick together instead".
"Huh? Stick together, like you and your Digimon?" Nokia asked, before smiling "That's a great idea! They're so cuuute! Of course they can! Let's be together forever guys!"
"Don't forget, it's going to be a pretty big responsibility to take of them" Kaito reminded Nokia but she shrugged.
"I know but I can manage! Come here guys! We'll be besties for evah!" Nokia smiled, hugging with the two hugging back.
Kaito smiled at this before feeling a vibration prompting him to activate his Digivice "Hey Kyoko, we just finished up here".
"Ah looks like I called just in time, I wanted to get you to head to Shibuya, there's something going on that I need you to investigate" Kyoko said, making Kaito and Gridman blink.
"Huh? What's going on?" Kaito asked, with Kyoko crossing her arms.
"It's hard to put into words, you'll have to see for yourself" Kyoko sighed, shaking her head.
"Alright, I'll head over now and check it out" Kaito said, before hanging up "Sorry to cut this short but I have to-" "Go right?".
Nokia then stood up before turning to Kaito with a grin "What are you waiting for? Go out there and kick some butt! Cyber Sleuth!".
Kaito smiled at that before nodding and dashing off as Nokia, Agumon and Gabumon waved him good bye.
Real World
Third person P.O.V.
Meanwhile in the real world we see Caliber walking through the streets, people giving him strange looks which he wasn't aware to.
"Man, who is that guy?" "I feel like I've seen him somewhere before?" "What's with the swords? "Are those real?"
"YO! Caliber" he heard, before looking over to see the three people he came to visit sitting at a cafe.
The leader was a tall muscular man who wore a navy suit with a brown short, he had long green hair and wore a black metallic mask around his face. His name was Max, who was drinking a cup of coffee.
The next member was a young person who looked like a girl but was in fact a guy with orange hair tied into twin tails and blue eyes. He wore a black suit with a grey shirt behind a blazer. This was Borr who was currently eating into some cake
The final member of the group was a cool looking man with short blue hair and grey eyes who wore a black suit with a grey shirt and black tie. This was Vit who was currently messing around on his phone.
"Seems we finally found each other," Max said, crossing his arms and looking down "I've got to remember to give Mirei-san our thanks when we meet".
"Yeah, totally ask the creepy girl who suddenly want to help us" Borr sarcastically said, as he chewed on the wooden fork in his mouth.
"Still at least we don't have to keep looking all over the city" Vit shrugged, swiping through his phone as Caliber sat down.
"So, is it true you've found Gridman's location?" Max asked, turning to Caliber as he leaned on his chair.
"Y-Yes…b-but he was d-damaged and lost his memories…" Caliber explained, looking down "H-He has merged w-with a human as well…and is w-working as a C-Cyber Sleuth".
"Seriously, ugh he couldn't have made this easy on us" Borr groaned, leaning back.
"The last battle was challenging, its to be expected that he wouldn't have come out unschathed" Max sighed, shaking his head while Vit noticed something.
"Looks like he wasn't the only, where's your 5th sword Caliber?" Vit asked, confusing the others as they looked over at Calibers swords.
"Huh, you're right he is missing a sword" Borr blinked, prompting Caliber to look down.
"S-Sorry about that, I-I didn't notice" Caliber frowned, but Max shook his head.
"It's fine, its not like you had any choice in the matter but we'll need to find it before a human finds it. Who knows what happens if a human discovers apart of Gridman" Max exclaimed, with Borr looking at him.
"There's also the other parts we need to find as well…ugh this is going to suck" Borr groaned.
"For now I'd like to meet the new host of Gridman, if that's alright" Max asked, as Caliber was about to answer but then the sound of sirens were heard.
"Ah, probably another accident in this world" Borr wondered, as she laid her head on the table.
The four looked over at the people running off in a certain direction before looking back at each to continue their conversation.
As they talked to each other, we see Haruka passing them by as she followed the commotion going on.
And done! Woo boy, its been awhile but I'm glad to finally be bringing this story back.
Sorry that took so long, I was just having some trouble on how to implement Gridman but decided to just have at the start and focus on the Digimon fights.
But yeah what did you guys think of this chapter? I decided to change what I had planned for Dynazenon after watching the Gridman movie, which was excellent.
Anyway next chapter is going to be having not only the first Gridman form change but also a new hero you guys might not know so well.
