Chapter 52: Red, White & Blue

Hours before Vale

'All we had to do, was follow the flipping train and stop it from escaping. It sounds easy enough.' That's all Ruby thought to herself as she dealt with some more White Fang members. Luckily for her, her team was able to find her just in time with the help of Zwie.

As Ruby was able to fill in the details of what the White Fang was planning to do, a loud voice played out.

"Get to your places, we are leaving now!" The voice of Roman played out through the tunnel as they saw White Fang members begin to enter the train.

"Ah, that's ridiculous, these tunnels are sealed, the tracks lead to a dead end," Dr. Oobleck states. Which now didn't make any sense. Why would they leave on a train that leads to a dead end? Many new questions arose for Ruby, but one thing was for sure.

They had to stop this train now. She did try to suggest they call for backup and her team and Doctor Oobleck all agreed on this, sadly since they were underground no signal was able to go through.

Seeing as the train was beginning to move. The team and the doctor all began to jump on it and see where it was going to take them.

However, what they didn't expect was for each caboose to have explosives on board. Doctor Oobleck quickly informed the team to move on to the next one and told Blake to detach it from the train. Blake agreeing with this went to go and do it. But the moment she was about to. It detaches by itself.

Doctor Oobleck looks up as he sees the car getting farther and farther away before exploding. Doctor Oobleck comments that things aren't exactly good at the moment.

"No, no, no, no!" Dr. Oobleck rushes past the four, checking the next hatch up ahead to find another bomb, "They all have bombs!"

Okay, now this was serious.

As this was going on the bomb began to tick down and Doctor Oobleck told the team to move on to the next car. As team RWBY followed his instruction they saw more White Fang members begin to head their way. Going to deal with them Doctor Oobleck looks back, witnessing the explosion of the previous car, and it also happened to blow a hole in the roof of the tunnel, thus allowing massive waves of Grimm to access the tunnels.

"He's leading Grimm into the city!" He told the team.

Okay! This was really Serious now!

Quickly devising a plan. Oobleck informs Yang, Weiss, and Blake to go down to deal with the bombs. While He and Ruby tried to stop the train. The team agreed and soon The three began to head down below and see how they could stop this.

While Jumping from cart to cart, Ruby and Oobleck began to head to the front of the train and see what they were dealing with. However, from up ahead Atlesian Paladins began to climb up on top of the train and charged towards the two.

Meanwhile, Blake, Yang, and Weiss dropped into the car below. Weiss hands Blake capsules of dust, saying it should help her. Blake thanked her and the three began to move forward. But were stopped by a girl with multi-colored hair who fell from above.

Seeing this Yang informs the two, "You two go on ahead, this one's mine." Yang told them and agreed. But right before they went.

"Careful with her Yang. She's skilled enough." Weiss told her as she remembered the words that Seth used. Smirking at this Yang fires at the girl distracting her and allowing Blake and Weiss to easily get past the girl and into the cars up ahead.

As Blake and Weiss run through the car a large man drags a chainsaw across the floor. Looking at the two new intruders he pays attention to the two. "A traitor and a Schnee." He said as he powered his weapon on.

"You go on ahead." Weiss told Blake and she nodded at her. Together, both Weiss and Blake deflect the man's attack, thus allowing Blake to run past him in the process. Now it's just Weiss and him and she doesn't waste a second, hitting the man with constant thrusts and strikes, knocking the man off his feet.

As Blake entered the next cart, she met with Roman who turned to her and smiled back. "Hello kitty-cat, miss me? Y'know, we really gotta stop meeting like this, people are gonna talk." Roman says as Blake lunges forward. He goes for a hit with his cane, but Blake uses her semblance, leaving fire in the form of herself. One touch from Roman causes it to explode, throwing him into the air. Blake follows after him, beating him right back into the ground.

Blake draws both parts of her weapon, ready for whatever Roman plans to throw at her. Roman attempts to blast her but Blake does the same thing again, creating a clone of herself but this time out of stone. Jumping in the air Blake makes an illusion of herself for Roman to attack. Once that disappeared, it was a furious battle of weapons clashing together. Blake retreats creating an ice version of herself that Roman gets himself stuck in. As Roman struggles to get his weapon free, Blake jumps back, releasing a massive blade of energy that crashes into Roman, sending him into the metal door behind him.

Yang is the first to attack but does nothing as Neo sends her stumbling back with her weapon. Neo opens her umbrella, resting gently on her shoulder. Yang charges, repeatedly punching left and right as well as a few kicks but they do nothing as Neo's light body is able to avoid every single one. All Yang is doing is pushing Neo back. Neo evades all of Yang's attacks, blocking them with her weapon then proceeding to throw her to the ground. As Yang is on the ground, Neo finally goes for a hit, slamming her foot down Yang, though the girl quickly gets up to avoid it. Yang blindly rushes forward, but that's only rewarded with a jab to the eye and a kick to the stomach, sending her backward. Neo cartwheels behind her, and Yang jumps up, firing for it to only be blocked by an open parasol. Yang doesn't land a single thing as Neo repeats obstructing Yang's attacks before hitting her with a closed umbrella. Yang blasts at Neo's feet, the quiet girl flips herself before perching herself on one of the car's boxes, the same smile plastered on her face.

Yang slowly approaches her and as she finally stood in front of her, Neo cocked her head with a smirk, infuriating Yang to throw a punch. Neo easily blocks her punch with her weapon, full-on spinning atop the crate, and pushing Yang back as well. At kicking Yang back she fires with a cry, but it does nothing as Neo stops it with her parasol. She quickly turns around as Yang comes in for another blow, fending off each shot and punches with her closed umbrella. As Neo goes for a kick, Yang grabs her by the leg and tosses her, though it doesn't stop her as she rights herself with a few spins. Once back on her feet, Neo takes an offensive approach, running at Yang, hooking her around and twirling atop her, then throwing her at the ceiling. Yang hits the top of the ceiling and comes crashing to the ground with a grunt, lying there as Neo simply walks over to her with a confident smile.

Meanwhile with Weiss, she uses dust to create a shield for herself, pushing the man back from his attack. The man tries again only to hit the floor as Weiss uses her rapier to divert its path. With a couple of hits, she drives him back. Weiss barely avoids a hefty hit from his chainsaw. As he gets up from the floor, he comes back more aggressive, leading Weiss to propel herself into the air. She comes crashing down, spinning but misses as the man steps back. That doesn't stop her as she succeeds in throwing him back, sadly the man regains his stability.

Weiss quickly creates a time-dilation glyph while also summoning more glyphs around the man and proceeds to jab him left and right. Weiss stabs the ground and jumps in the air as the man finally catches his bearings. Weiss moves through the air before the man grabs her by the face and slams her into the ground, chunks of the floor flying everywhere, before throwing her in the air, and swinging his chainsaw to finish her off.

But Weiss's quick reflex makes her raise her weapon in time to block his attack, only to get sent toward the door that Blake went through.

Blake hearing this turns to the door and sees Weiss fall to the ground with the man following close behind.

"So what's it gonna be?" Blake turns back to Roman and gives Roman a kick to the face knocking him out, having already made her choice as she rushes to Weiss's side. As the door closes, the man picks up the pace, as well as Blake, picking up Weiss and begins to run.

"TRAITOR!" The man said as he gave chase to the two.

As this was going on Ruby and Doctor Oobleck were dealing with another paladin. Oobleck rushed to Ruby's side. Before the paladin could hit them, Ruby quickly grabbed Doctor Oobleck and leads them to safety, leaving a trail of flames from the Doctor's canister. Doctor Oobleck sped to the top of the paladin, making it catch fire as he blasted it, then jumping back down behind it. Together, Oobleck and Ruby shot at it simultaneously, causing it to explode and fall off the train and onto the tracks.

"Ruby you go on ahead!" Ruby of course protested against this, "Don't worry Ruby, it's time I teach them a lesson." He didn't waste a second as he ran in the other direction, towards the incoming paladins.

With nothing left to do Ruby begins to head to the front of the train where she sees Blake and Weiss already on top of it. Quickly rushing to them, she sees Blake catching her breath.

"Are you two okay?" Ruby said worried about the two.

"Don't worry. We are fine." Weiss said to her leader as she turned to Blake. "Thank you Blake." With a smile, Blake nods her head.

"Guys!" From behind them Yang soon comes running up to them as well

"Yang! Are you-." Yang quickly cuts her off.

"No time now. Look!" Yang points in the direction getting the other three to look as well. Up ahead was the dead end that Oobleck had told them about and soon they were about to crash into it.

With everyone on top of the train, Blake asked what they were gonna do as the dead end was fast approaching. Ruby and Weiss gave each other a nod, and the next moment all four of them were enclosed in a shield of ice as the train rammed into the wall.

Seeing the smoke from the distance, made my heart begin to speed up for some reason. I have no idea why but I was feeling dread right now.

"We're changing our mission, everyone on board." The voice of Jaune was the thing that made me realize that we were standing around. He was right about one thing.

This was way more important.

We all began to head towards the Bullhead and entered one by one, turning to the others Pyrrha and Nora were already inside, but from behind them, I saw Jaune talking to Ren. From what I could hear I think he told him something about a village. Soon they entered and we began to take off.

"So what's the Plan?" Ren asked as we turned to Jaune.

"Simple we find the cause of the smoke and help out any way we can."

"What about civilians?" Nora asked.

"I'm sure local huntsman and huntresses around the area will handle that. Or the police." I said to her, but knowing these police people here... Yeah, it might be a good idea to watch out for them.

"Right. All we need to do is find the source of the smoke." Jaune said determine.

"Sounds simple enough." Pyrrha agreed with Jaune's plan, but something didn't feel right.

"You think this is what Team RWBY was calling about?" Ren asked.

"Maybe, I don't know. Whatever it is I'm sure we will figure it out soon enough."

Suddenly the Bullhead made a sharp turn making us stumble a bit.

"What happened?"

The pilot yelled out. "Grimm in the skies!"

"What?!" We all moved to the window and we saw Nevermore up in the skies.

"Hang on!" The pilot soon began to swerve around trying to avoid the Nevermore but the more he tried to escape them the more they continued to follow.

"How did they get inside the city?"

"No Idea, but we need to get rid of them." I move towards the doors and tell him to open them. The pilot presses a button and soon the doors open. I took out my weapon from my back and began to shoot at the Nevermores that got close to the Bullhead. "Jaune think of a plan now." I said to him as I continued to deal with the Grimm.

Nora seeing this also stood next to me and opened fire as well, doing her best to help out, soon the others came along, and we all continued to fire at any Grimm in the skies.

Jaune in the meantime began to think of a way to deal with the Grimm following us. He also had to think if they were going to be more on the way to Vale. Getting an idea he turns to the pilot. "Take us as high as you can."

The Bullhead soon began to take altitude and the higher we went the less the Nevermore began to follow the ship.

"What now?" Nora asked.

"You two are going to jump." Jaune said as he turned to me and Nora.

...

"What?" I said but Nora seemed to be excited about it.

"Time to try out that new move we train for." Jaune said, and now Nora was really excited about it.

"Jaune are you sure?" Ren asked and Jaune nodded at him.

"Yes, this ship won't last if those Nevermore keep attacking it. So Seth and Nora will jump off and create an opening for us to land." Pyrrha seemed like she wanted to argue but I spoke up first.

"We will do it." The team looked at me and I nod at them. "We will clear the skies as best as we can." "You got it fearless leader!" We both began to stand on the edge of the bullhead.

"This is as high as I can go!" The pilot said as I turned to Nora.

"You ready?" I see her smirk at me and nod.

"Ready! Oh! Play the song!" With my own smirk, I tap my heart and a guitar riff begins to play. "See you on the ground guys." I salute to them before I jump off the Bullhead.

"Bye guys!" Nora said to them as she also jumped off. "Backflips!"

As the three remaining teammates look on, Jaune turns to the Pilot once more. "Begin to take us down. Pyrrha Ren guns at the ready they might be more if those two let a few of them pass." Both nod at their leader and take out their weapons ready to take out any Grimm that get close to the ship.

"You kids get crazier and crazier every year." The pilot said to them as he began to descend the Bullhead.

"Thunder."

Hearing Nora cheering with excitement made me also happy about this. Feeling the wind beginning to pick up all around my body made me as happy as can be. Seeing the Nevermores getting close to us made me take this seriously now.

"Nora, here they come!" I said to her, and I looked up just to see her get close to me. As soon as she was next to me, we both looked at each other and nodded.

"Ready!" I reach my arm at her.

"Let's do this!" She grabs a hold of my arm and gets her hammer at the ready.

"Thunder!"

I begin to spin us around, making sure Nora has a good grip on my arm as we begin to increase our speed. As we grew close to the Nevermores they soon began to fly our way.

As they got close, I began to use my semblance to spin us faster, and with Nora at the ready she quickly smacked them with her hammer as we went through them, dealing with a good number of them.

"Nice!"

"Woooo! Thunder!"

"Where do you want to land?" I asked her and she looked around seeing what we were dealing with.

"I see a big clearing! Oh! I think I see Team RWBY!" From below I also saw team RWBY dealing with a huge wave of Grimm. Shit, there was a lot of destruction in the area. I hope people got out on time. "Seth! Throw me at the King Taijitu!" Looking at the direction of the snake I nod at her and begin to spin again.

"Ready!?" I ask getting more and more momentum.

"Ready!" She prepares her weapon ready to attack.

Getting a huge amount of momentum, I aimed Nora in the direction of the King Taijitu, and once I was confident of my aim. I let go of her arm sending her down towards it. "Thunder!"

As Nora was let go, I could hear her yell out. "Struck!"

As Ruby stood face to face with the King Taijitu, she began to hear music playing in the distance. Looking for the source of it, she soon hears someone yell out "Struck!" Raising her head up she saw Nora coming down from the sky and slamming her hammer at the King Taijitu's head. The impact was so strong that it created a small crater where the Grimm once was.

"Yeah! You have been Thunderstruck! Oh, Hi Ruby!" Nora said as she waved towards her friend. Ruby seeing this waved back and was still confused about how Nora got here.

"Hi Nora, where did you come from?" Ruby asked but got interrupted by the sound of a song getting closer to them.

"Hold that thought." Nora looked up and saw Seth beginning to get closer to the ground. She saw him regain his footing and with his semblance sent a strong current towards the ground making him slow his descent. As soon as his feet touched the ground, he took a knee and began to rub his knees.

"Gah! God Damn it! It's true what they say. It's really hard on your knees." They heard Seth yell out loud as he slowly began to get up. He tapped his heart to stop his song and turn once he heard his name.

"Seth! Nora! You two made it! Wait where are the others?" Ruby asked us and we both pointed up in the skies. As Ruby looked up she saw a bullhead beginning to descend close to the ground. There she saw Jaune, Pyrrha, and Ren jump out of it and land on the ground.

"Sorry we're late, but better now than never." I tell her as I ready my weapon.

"Yep! We are here now!" Nora added as she ready her weapon as well "And ready to kick Bu-" "Language!" With that Nora quickly rushed towards a wave of Grimm hammer at the ready.

"Well, that's one way. Anyway, let's go!" I began to run after Nora and spilt my weapon apart. Ready to take on any Grimm my way.

Dealing with the first few Grimm were easy, a few Beowolfs, a few creeps, and a few Nevermores here and there. Nothing too serious but the numbers gain was beginning to be a problem, especially when your head is hurting like crazy.

'Can't lose focus, can't lose focus.' I thought to myself as I fired up into the sky dealing with another nevermore. Looking towards my team, I saw Ren and Nora working together as Ren dealt with a Beowolf sneaking up on Nora. Nora launched her rockets at a huge wave heading their way. They had each other's backs, so they were fine.

Looking towards Pyrrha I saw her kicking serious ass right now. The way she easily dealt with Grimm was really cool. The way she stabbed a Beowolf and launch that fuck over a building was crazy. The way she looks, the way she... FOCUS DUMBASS!

Looking towards our leader I saw him going toe to toe with an Ursa. By the looks of it, he looked scared, he was backing away from it and looked like it was about to attack.

"Jaune, DOD-!" To my surprise, he began to repeatedly slash the Ursa while letting out a loud battle cry. And once he was done. The Ursa went down for the count.

...

"You must be so proud of him." I heard behind me a voice. "Your precious leader is becoming a man." Turning to the voice I see Yang standing next to me now.

"Yeah well... I mean, he could be doing better and without the screams." I aim my weapon behind her and fire at the Creep getting close to us. "Sorry, we're late."

"Nah, it's fine, just miss out on the beginning of this party." She raises her arm at me and shoots right next to my head. Turning around I saw a Beowolf beginning to disappear. "Tsk, I could have taken him."

She runs past me and bumps my chest with her hand. "Sure you could. Keep up Shades!"

Sigh... This girl. Running towards the next Grimm I hear from a distance two new voices.

"Nobody move, Junior Detectives!" I turned to see Sun posing and next to him was Neptune, behind them I could also see Scarlet and Sage stepping out of a police car.

"We have badges so you know it's official." The two just fist-bump each other as they begin to take out their weapons.

Stabbing a Beowolf and blowing its head off, I turn angrily at the two.

"Stop high-fiving and start fucking fighting!" I quickly remind the two as the city is being burned to the ground.

However, the ground began to shake as up in the skies I saw huge airships began to fly over Vale. By the looks of it, there were Atlesian. They began to open fire at any Grimm on the ground and the skies. Soon they began to drop their Atlesian Knights which began to open fire at any remaining Grimm.

Upon seeing those robots, I began to panic even more. My head started to hurt and my breathing became rapid over the sight of everything around me. Remembering what I saw the first day I arrived here in Vale, and I became more and more angry. It also didn't help that off to the side I noticed that Cinder, Mercury, and Emerald had arrived here and started to help out.

Holding my head I didn't notice that more Grimm began to head my way, all these negative emotions were now attracting them and I was still lost in my own thoughts.

"Seth!" "Shades!" "Dude snap out of it!" Hearing my name I felt something tie around my waist and I was pulled to the side.

"Oof!" Looking around I saw that I was on the ground and soon felt a sting on my cheek. "Ouch! Why?" Looking at the person responsible for the slap I see Blake looking down at me.

"Get up. You need to focus." I see her untie the ribbon of her weapon off me and fire toward some Grimm charging us. "Don't die here. What would your Mom think." She soon stabs another Grimm and uses her semblance to avoid its attack on her.

...

'Focus Seth, I can't panic now.' Getting back up from the ground I shake my head and look toward the Grimms. "I did not come this far to die now." Picking up Saltatio Favillae from the ground I charge at them.

As I began to rush them, a song began to play.

Rushing towards the wave, the ground began to shake and from the main street, there was a giant hole on the ground. Soon a hand pops out of it and another Paladin begins to emerge from the ground below.

"Aw shit, another one!" I took aim at the Paladin but to my surprise, it stopped and soon a small dog appeared from it.

"What?" I said to myself as the dog jumped off it and slammed its head towards a Beowolf.

...

"What?!" Questions for later but right now... Looking up at the sky I see more Bullheads coming towards our location.

Listen up, strap in, notify your next of kin

As the bullheads came to a stop, a few teams began to jump out of them. By the looks of it, they were the ones who were still at the school that hadn't left for their missions yet. They began to head in different directions, so as to lower the Grimm in other areas of Vale. Also with them was team CFVY with Professor Port, all four jump down, and two out of four rush into battle.

Guzzle down your Red Bull, you're gonna need a bucket full

As Yatsuhashi looked around his surroundings he began to get surrounded by Beowolfs. Taking his weapon off his back, the Grimm began to attack him but he smashed his weapon to the concrete ground, creating a crater in the ground and sending all the Beowolfs flying.

A certified monster, I'm an absolute trip

Like Otis Redding, hard to handle, so you better get a grip

As Fox quickly rushes in to deal with the Grimms in front of him, while Velvet has his back on any other Grimm that comes from his side. They both began to deal with more Beowolfs and Creeps that began to charge at them.

Superfast, superfly, bonafide wise guy

Call the morgue and say goodbye, write your will, it's time to die

Soon an Alpha Ursa begins to charge at the two, Fox hearing this with the help of his weapon begins to run at it and delivers a barrage of punches and swipes from his weapon.

I'm a bad dream

Sending the Ursa into the air with one uppercut, and as it was beginning to fall back down Fox sent a strong punch to the head of the Ursa, sending it back to a group of Grimm. As the Ursa lands it begins to expand prompting it to explode, sending all of its spines into the nearby Grimm.

Coco soon began to walk behind her team making her way to the front next to her partner while deflecting some of the spines coming in her direction.

"Nice hustle Fox, good job." She tells him as she slaps his butt. Fox rolls his eyes and begins to back away, knowing what his partner is about to do.

As she goes to face forward she is met with a Beowolf standing in front of her ready to attack. The Beowolf begins to growl at her, but Coco doesn't seem to care about it.

"You just destroyed my favorite clothing store." She takes a moment to spit on the sidewalk before continuing, "Prepare to die."

I'm a cheetah on the plains, I'm the highway star

A supersonic princess in a million-dollar car

The Beowolf attempts to land a crushing blow on her, but Coco swats it away with her weapon and kicks the beast's crotch, making it fall to its knees.

Blood on fire pumping through my veins

Weaving in and out while I'm bolting through the lanes

As the Grimm raises its head at the girl. Coco slowly raises her own weapon and brings it down crushing the Grimm's head to the ground.

I'm hyperdrive, overdrive, hit the gas at 55

Breakneck, trainwreck, in my presence genuflect

Coco lifts her head to see three Beowolfs and a deathstalker coming forward. She gives them the same treatment, knocking all the Beowolfs away. The deathstalker tries to stab her with its stinger, but she quickly jumps backward, dodging the attack.

Track-roundin', speed-a-soundin', electrifyin', pulse-poundin'

Heart-pumpin', brain-thumpin', watch me get the party jumpin'

Velvet goes to her leader's side and goes to pull her own weapon out, but Coco stops her. "Hey, come on, you spent all semester building that up, don't waste it here." She begins to walk forward while making her weapon transform into a machine gun.

Caffeine, I'm caffeine

Coco begins to open fire at the Deathstalker and with the help of her semblance is able to kill it.

She then raises her weapon in the air and begins to deal with any Grimm up in the sky. Killing a few more Nevermore in the process.

As team CFVY dealt with the Grimm in the main plaza, the other teams were also dealing with fewer Grimm now. Team JNPRS and SSSN were helping team RWBY out seeing as they were now getting tired of all the fighting they had been doing.

Ren and Nora began to protect Weiss as she was getting corner by Grimm and with the help of Neptune they were able to push them off her to get her time to recover.

Grab yourself a mug, 'cause I made a fresh pot

As Ruby kept herself moving around and dealing with more creeps. Jaune and Pyrrha had her back once she was losing stamina. Protecting her from any more Grimm heading her way.

Sun quickly rushed to Blake's side as Sage went after him to help out. The two went to catch up with Blake who was avoiding Grimm with her semblance. Dealing with Beowolfs in the process.

Yang was the only one who kept on fighting as she, Seth, and Scarlet were able to keep more Grimm away from the others. The few that were able to pass by were dealt with by the others.

As the number of Grimm was beginning to deteriorate, the group began to notice that the alarms to the city were continuing to play out. Up in the skies, the Atlesian ships were beginning to move toward the city outskirts over the orders they had been receiving.

Off to the side in an alleyway. Three people were looking around for any unwanted listeners.

"Okay, this is the third time this has happened. What is up?" Mercury said as he saw his boss on the ground holding her right arm.

"It... It's... Nothing... Call Roman, tell him... Change of plans." Cinder raised her head and looked in the direction of the group, she continued to stare at them, as her attention was on one. "Him. It has to be it." She muttered to herself as the two looked back at each other confused by what she meant.

The groups began to regroup seeing as the Grimm were now dealt with.

Seth simply rolls his eyes at the other's antics and just lets the song finish.

"Students!" From the side of the road, we heard someone call out to us. Turning to the source we saw Doctor Oobleck climbing out of a hole in the ground. By the looks of it, he looked panicked for some reason.

And we soon got our answer.

"RUN!"

Minutes prior

"Well then, that's taken care of the remaining Grimm down here." Doctor Oobleck said to himself as he finished dealing with the Grimm from the destroyed tunnels.

"Now, to take care of the rest up-." Before he could finish and start climbing back up, he heard a huge roar coming from the end of the tunnel. When turning to the source he soon saw more Grimm beginning to run in his direction. Seeing this much Grimm heading his way. He began to climb up fast to warn his students of the upcoming dangers.

"Students!" He yelled as he saw his students all around the area and with no time for them to catch a break.

"RUN!" Ordering them he quickly turned back towards the hole and began to open fire down below. However, it did nothing cause the next thing he knew the Grimm burst out of the hole making the doctor back away.

Once we heard Doctor Oobleck call to us, we turned to see him open fire down to a hole, and seconds later even more Grimm began to pop out of the hole. More Ursas, more Creeps, More Beowolfs, and more Boarbatusk.

"Students Move back towards the city. Make sure no Grimm escape from this general area!" The voice of Professor Port called out to us and we saw him rush towards Doctor Oobleck.

"We can help!" Sun called out.

"Now!" His voice had no chance to argue with him as he continued to run towards his friend.

Looking at each other we debated to either help them out or follow their orders. Some of us wanted to go and help the best that we could but others looked around and saw some Grimm beginning to head more into the city.

"What should we do?" Neptune asked.

"We need to help them." Ruby said as she took aim and began to fire at some of the Grimm that the professors were dealing with.

"What we need to do is go and deal with the Grimm heading into the city." Now Jaune said as he began to move towards more in Vale.

"Whatever it is we are wasting time here." Now Coco steps in. "They can deal with these Grimm, we have our orders so we have to follow-" She was cut off by an explosion that made us all turn. From the ground below the hole that the Grimm were coming from began to expand to the point that even more of them were coming out. Soon Deathstalkers began to appear from the hole with even more Grimm.

With the chaos happening around and Grimm heading our way. We had no plan, no direction, and no leadership. So we all did what we had to.

We began to run.

The groups began to split up as we all began to run in different directions into Vale. We would have gone with our teams but since we thought we were in the clear we really didn't stick around our respective teams.

As I turned the corner I heard a few footsteps behind me, by what I could tell there were three others behind me. Turning another corner I stop and turn to see the others.

"Is everyone okay?" I asked and saw them all come to a stop as well catching their breath.

"Yeah, I'm fine." Velvet said as she leaned close to a wall.

"Same." Neptune also said as he looked back at our last member.

"Why did you lead us here?" Weiss said as she was catching her own breath from the run.

"Well, I'm sorry you decided to follow us. But everyone decided to split up. We were all too busy debating on what to do that we really didn't come up with a plan." I said to Weiss as she was now able to stand up straight. She then began to walk forward and began to pull her scroll out to contact someone.

"So what should we do?" Neptune said as I just rubbed my head in annoyance.

"What the professor told us to do. Deal with any Grimm in the city." Velvet tells us and I nod at that.

"Velvet is right. He gave us a clear objective. The best we can do is follow his orders. I'm sure our teammates can handle themselves as well." I decided to back her plan up as I began to reload my weapon, I then reached inside my jacket and pulled out two different color grenades.

"Who made you leader?" I heard Weiss say to me as she turned back to us.

"I didn't, but what more can we do here? If you want that roll go for it. But Velvet here should at least be in charge of this group since she is the second year."

"I really shouldn't. Weiss, you can go ahead and take charge." Velvet easily gave up her position and handed it to Weiss.

With a happy smile, Weiss begins walking, telling us to follow her. With no room to argue, we all prepared our weapons at the ready.

"Where are we going?" I asked.

"I tried to contact my team, but no answer. My guess is they might be dealing with their own problems." Weiss said as she continued to lead us.

"So where are we heading to?" Now Neptune asked as he kept looking behind us.

"If we are going to follow Professor Port's orders, I believe we should look around for any Grimm in the area. We did see a few of them heading in this direction so my best bet is that they should be around here." With Weiss taking the lead and Neptune having our backs, Velvet and I were both stuck in the middle. I turned to her and saw her ears raise as high as they could be.

"I got something. It sounds like gunfire." Velvet said as she began to run in the direction of the shots. We began to run after her to where she was leading us. As we grew close we began to hear the sounds of Gunfire. And as we turned the corner we were met with the people responsible for it.

"The White Fang?" Velvet said as she looked at the scene in front of her.

White Fang grunts fighting for their lives, as they were being surrounded by Grimm. By the looks of them, they were protecting some of their injured comrades and doing their best to fight them off.

"What should we do?" Neptune said to her as he turned to Weiss. She looked like she was debating with herself. But Velvet and I had other plans.

We both rushed in and decided to help them out. Velvet jumps in and deals with some of the Beowolfs while I handle some of the Creeps.

The fire soon stops as the White Fang members look on at the sight of their saviors.

Dealing with the final Grimm Velvet turns to the Members. "Are you all alright?"

"We got a few injuries here. Thank you sister." One of the members with deer antlers said to Velvet as walked up to her. However, she stops when she turns to me. "You're working with a human?"

"Not a member... But."

"Just so you all know. You are all under citizen arrest. Make a wrong move and I would gladly put you to the ground." I tell them before any of them get any ideas. Seeing as they didn't really argue with me they all dropped their weapons to the ground and began to help their injured.

"Way to handle that peacefully." Velvet said to me and I just shrugged at her, ignoring her sarcastic tone in her voice.

"Hey, it's better than to fight them all and leave their bodies here. With this we can at least arrest them and no one gets hurt." I turn to the other two and see Neptune standing next to Weiss who was still standing there. "Neptune try to call someone and see if you can find someone to deal with the rest." He nods my way and begins to pull out his scroll.

Sigh... Honestly, this was a better option for us. I hope the others are alright.

"What are you recruits doing!" We heard someone roar towards us and turned to see a tall man who was dragging a chainsaw on one of his arms, behind him more White Fang members rushed to his side and aimed their weapons at us. "Kill the humans!"

"Sir, they helped us out." One of the injured with glasses said to their boss.

"Are you going against orders?" The man said as he looked at the injured Member. He raised his weapon at him and was bout to strike, but I quickly aimed Favillae at the man and fired. The man hearing this blocked the shot and looked back towards us.

"The Schnee is with them." He began to walk forward "I will kill the Schnee the rest of you deal with the others." With his orders, the man walked towards us.

...

"Man." I turn to Weiss who ready her weapon. "What did you do to make these Faunus this mad... No offense Velvet." I asked Weiss with a contemplative look, knowing too well that I might never get an answer.

"Some taken." Velvet stepped forward as she began to reach into her back.

"Leave this one to me." Velvet rushed the man and reaching behind her I saw a small box open, soon a bright light shine on and transformed something in her hand.

"Isn't that."

As both got close The man raised his weapon in the air and swipes down at Velvet. However, Velvet herself was able to block the attack with a weapon that almost resembles Yatsuhashi.

Blocking a few shots I turn my attention back to the White Fang members who began to open fire at us. Blocking some shots I rush towards them to quickly deal with them so I can go and help Velvet. From behind me, I heard more gunfire as I turned and saw Neptune also begin to return fire at some of the Fang members.

Getting close to the members I deal with the first one with a swift kick to his side making him go down. Blocking a few more shots, the next person I take out with multiple combos of punches that send him back to a group of four crashing into each other. With one more a good distance from me, it's Neptune who deals with him shocking the Fang member.

Turning to see if there were any other Members ready to fight, the only ones I see are the injured ones and they look like they didn't want to get involved in this As they begin to drag their injured away from this mess. Turning to Velvet I see her begin to attack the Man with weapons that now resemble Fox's. She delivers a few swipes making the man take a few steps back and with a strong kick sends him back, making him fall to the ground.

"Weiss! Call the others and tell them we need backup! Neptune cover her!" Seeing as she was not doing anything I needed her to at least call for someone. Running towards the man I jump and deliver a kick to his back and make him fall once again.

"Give up. You're outnumbered and outmatched." I say to him as I point my weapon at him.

The man slowly begins to get back up and goes and grabs his weapon from the ground. "I will not yield to a traitor and a human!" He starts his weapon again. "Do you really think I didn't come here with a plan of my own? Stupid human child." What the hell does he mean by-.

"Seth Look out!" Quickly turning I block a shot from behind and ready my weapon again.

...

"Ah, shit."

Walking towards us I see a new person with even more White Fang members. I shake my head ignoring what I just saw and focus my attention on the man leading them. Same red hair, same black suit, and same pain in my ass.

"The rest of you make sure they don't escape." The man in black said as he took out his weapon and pointed his red katana at me. "I will deal with these pests."

Man, I sure hope the others are doing better than we are.

"Jaune cover me!" Ruby said as she went on the offensive."

"Mwu-hahaha! You really think you can stop me little Red! Think again!" Roman raises his cane and opens fire. But before it impacts, Jaune was able to block it with his shield.

"Thanks, Jaune."

"No problem. I just hope Pyrrha and Scarlet are able to deal with that other girl." He said to her as he looked across from them.

Right now Pyrrha and Scarlet were back to back with each other waiting for an attack from the girl. The girl kept on breaking into small glass and disappearing from them. Pyrrha was able to put up a good fight with the girl. But each time she went to deliver a blow, the girl just simply broke into pieces. Scarlet was able to protect Pyrrha from any attack from behind and now the two were just covering each other.

From above the sound of glass breaking gets their attention and Pyrrha goes to block with her shield. Just in time as the girl had her umbrella pointed at Scarlet's head. With that chance, Pyrrha went to deliver a punch to the girl only for her to break once again.

"This is becoming a waste now." Scarlet said as he waited for the girl.

"At this point, she is just keeping us here while the others are fighting."

"I'm sure the two can deal with Roman."

"I hope so..." Glass once again broke and Scarlet was about to shoot but someone else fired first.

Turning to the source of the fire they saw it was both Mercury and Emerald who rushed to their side.

"Need a hand?" Mercury said as he rushed towards Roman and delivered a kick to the man's back.

"We heard the commotion and decided to help out." Emerald informed them as she began to open fire at Neo.

"What about your teammates?"

"They are right behind us, they are just dealing with a few Grimm in the area. If you want you guys can retreat and find your other teammates." Mercury informed them as he and Roman began to fight.

Getting a chance to retreat, Ruby took it and called on Jaune to begin to inform the others. "Thank you guys. We owe you one." Soon the group of four began to run more into the City to try and find their friends. Leaving the rest to deal with both criminals.

"You think they can handle them?" Scarlet said as he followed the group.

"I'm sure they can, if their teammates are right behind, then I'm sure they can handle them." Pyrrha informs him, "Have you been able to reach the others Jaune?"

"So far Nora and Ren are with Yang. They're okay. Blake is with Sun and Sage and from what they told me team CFVY is just missing Velvet. Still can't contact Seth." That last one put Pyrrha on edge but she was confident that he was okay, she knew him too well.

"Hey wait. Neptune is calling me." Scarlet said to the group as they came to a stop. "Neptune where. Woah hold up, what do you mean the White Fang? Huh? Who is fighting who?"

"Oh, No." That's all Ruby said as she knew she had forgotten something important here.

"Alright, we are on the way." Scarlet soon ended the call and turned to the others. "We need to find them, and fast."

"Velvet make sure you handle Yatsu's evil twin." "Oh god! I can't unsee it now!" "Redhead is mine." Stepping in front of his view from the rest and prepare my weapon and point my blue sword at him.

"So we meet again." I tell him and take aim as well. "Now to finish what we started."

...

"Who are you?" He tells me and by the looks of it, he was not amused at all.

...

"You bitch!" I fire once and I see him block my shot. However, I did notice one thing. His sword glowed red for a bit. "You forgot about me. Me! Out of all the people." He doesn't say anything but he just begins to walk forward.

"That's fine... Time for payback." Rushing him I raise Saltatio at him going for a clean hit but he raises his sword and blocks my strike. I fire once and I spin, sending a kick toward his side which connects and sends him sliding away from me.

I don't let up and continue my pressure on him only for him to continue to block my attacks.

Meanwhile, Velvet and the Man continue to fight on, with Velvet being able to connect a good few hits at the Man's lower body. But the man grabs on Velvet's legs and throws her away from him, crashing into a building.

While this is going on Neptune keeps continuing to fire back at some of the White Fang members. They continued to fire back at him to the point that they were getting close to him. Seeing his options limited he transforms his weapon into a trident and begins his own assault on them.

And for Weiss...

Blocking a strike from redhead. I see him raise his leg and goes for a kick, which I block with my own leg, but he then raises his sheathed and aims it at my head. "Now I remember you." He was about to fire and he would have done serious damage to me, but luckily someone saved me.

With a kick to his other side, Weiss comes sliding in pushing the man back away from me.

"Damn, Weiss! What took you so long?" I said to her as she ready her weapon.

"I was waiting to see, oh what is it that you said once... 'How things play out?' Also, I made sure our teams know where we are currently at."

"I.. You... Sigh... Thank you." I tell her as we both face off to redhead.

"A Schnee and a child. Killing you two today will make this a day to remember."

...

"Again, what did you do?" I asked Weiss.

"Sigh... This is the life of a Schnee, Seth. How do you two know each other?"

"Oh, he attack a facility back in Mantle and I dealt with some of his grunts as well, and well... Shit went sideways real fast... Happy birthday to me. Anyway, let's do this." I said as I raised my weapon ready to continue to fight and tapped my heart. Not noticing Weiss looking at me.

Resurrection Beat (Gathering of Old Blood)

Redhead quickly rushed us and I moved forward to block his attack, Weiss seeing an opening goes in and strikes the man, but he blocks it with his sheathed. He goes to strike but Weiss this time blocks it, allowing me to shoot again, making me spin once more and delivering another punch to his chest. As the two of us continued our onslaught on him, I noticed that his sword was beginning to glow red even more, like something was coming soon, so we had to prepare.

Meanwhile, Neptune rushed towards Velvet who was now having a difficult time with the man. He goes and shoots him a few times getting his attention and as the man goes to attack him, Neptune dodges his strikes to the best that he can, as he continues to avoid the man's weapon. While Velvet getting the time to recover she begins to pull out a camera and takes a picture of the man. Getting back up she reaches again to her back and soon another light begins to glow. Rushing at the man once more. Hearing footsteps behind him he turns and clashes with Velvet both with the same weapon. Sparks fly as the man tries to overpower Velvet, but Neptune fires more shots at him connecting to his back.

While Weiss and I continued to fight against the man, we started to notice some of the down White Fang members were beginning to get back up. Seeing their leaders fighting they began to charge at us hoping to help them out.

"We might get corner here soon." I tell Weiss this as I send a punch to the man only for him to block it with his sword.

"So what do you suggest?" Weiss on instinct goes for a blow to his legs but is quickly dealt with by the man kicking her instead.

"Tactical retreat?" I tell her as I reach into my belt and take out one of my grenades I then throw it at some of the Fang members getting close to us.

"No, we have him were I want him. We can deal with him now." Weiss goes in and continues to attack the guy. I tried to follow after her but I got hit from the side as I felt my Aura flair up. Blocking more shots from the White Fang Members I go and deal with them, knowing that all of this fighting is finally taking a toll on us.

As Weiss continues to fight on, she sees the man smirking at her. And with a few blocks with his sword and Sheathed. He begins his own assault on Weiss. Attacking her fast and strong to the point that her Aura was beginning to take major damage.

"To think your family can enslave us." He strikes Weiss's side making her back away. "To think that your family thinks they own us." With another strike, he is able to disarm her of her weapon. "It ends today." His sword begins to glow. "With the death of the first Schnee by my hands." As his sword was about to be brought down. A small explosion of light blinds him making him miss completely slashing a building wall in half. While he tried to recover I sent a punch toward his face that sends him back a good few feet.

Weiss also getting blinded by the light, is soon grabbed by her back and begins to get pushed away.

"What? What is."

"Shut up we need to run now." The voice of Seth is heard as he begins to sing. "Stayin alive, stayin Alive. Velvet! Neptune Run!" Getting their attention, Velvet turns and nods our way. Quickly transforming the weapon in her hands with one that now copies Coco. She begins to open fire at the Fang members as we begin to run, Neptune also returns fire at them trying his best to keep them off our backs.

"Come on guys." Neptune said as we continued to run towards them.

Getting close to them the tall man with the chainsaw soon gets in our way. "You two are not escaping us!" He goes for a swing with his weapon and I raise both of mine blocking his attack. The sound of metals crashing with each other and buzzing cutting made me wish we had backup now.

Feeling him push down even more, I look down at his legs and go to strike it. With a few kicks, he begins to feel the pain and goes down to his knees. With a chance, I raise my own knee to his chin and deliver a blow. Which causes his mask to fly off him.

"God... You are one ugly mother fucker." I say out loud only for him to go and throw a punch. Dodging his punch with a side step I send another kick to the back of his head making him fall down to the floor below. Turning to Weiss I see her create a huge Ice wall between us and the people behind us, slowing them down.

"Nice let's keep running." With a nod, we go to catch up with the others. Seeing that we were in the clear made me relax for a bit and soon we could go and meet up with the others.

"Guys! Look out!" Velvet's voice screamed to us as I turned my head I saw Redhead jump over Weiss's ice wall and with his sword glowing red he sent a slash heading straight for Weiss.

It felt like time seemed to slow down for me as I had one option, seeing it get close I moved towards her and covered her with my body. I could have just pushed her to the side and let my arm deal with the blow. But I had low Aura that it could have done way more damage. I could have simply blocked it. But seeing as it nearly took down a building, yeah that was a bad choice for me. I could have just let her take the blow.

...

Nah, I was not that type of person anyway... Mom did raise me well.

"ACK!" Feeling the strike hit my back I felt my Aura break and the next thing I knew, I was on the ground, hearing someone calling my name.

"SETH!"

POV Weiss

This stupid kid. This dumb stupid kid! He should have just let me deal with the blow myself and now look at him... On the ground, with a small hint of red appearing on his back.

Slowly kneeling down to his side I place a hand on his neck to feel something, anything on this stupid kid. Feeling something small, I let out a sigh of relief. Good can't have him gone right before I give him a piece of my mind.

"Weiss!" Hearing someone calling my name I see both Neptune and Velvet running up to me. Soon they went behind me and began to open fire at the White Fang that were getting close to us.

"Weiss get up! And take Seth somewhere safe!" The nerve of Velvet to raise her voice at me like this. Does she know who I am? Not wanting to argue with her I grabbed Seth the best that I could and began to take him toward the nearest alleyway. To think I'm doing this. Why am I doing this? He's heavy as can be. I lay him on his back and I heard him cry out in pain.

"Sorry." I apologized to him and moved him to his side. He is lucky that I am being nice at least—the nerve of him. I slowly reach into my rapier to take out an ice canister to remove the Ice crystal. With this, it should at least numb the pain that he has... Huh, why are my hands shaking... No, focus—questions for later.

Slowly placing it on his back, I can hear him wince in pain a bit more.

"Sorry." I said once more, honestly he deserves it for everything that he has done to me does far... Huh? Why is my vision becoming blurry?

Removing my hand from his back I see that they are now red... Huh? Why are my hands shaking and my vision blurry? Why can't I stand up? Why is my stomach feeling sick? I feel a few drops land on my legs and I start to notice something about me...

Why was I crying?

"Weiss." I heard him call my name and quickly looked at him, wiping the red off my hands, I began to give him a piece of my mind.

"You... Absolute Idiot! Why? Why did you shield me!?" Looking down at him I see him looking back at me from over his stupid sunglasses. "Your wounds... It's... It's fine. You will be better soon." Raising my head I continue to hear gunshots and yelling. "You will be fine... Just stay focused right now."

...

"Sorry." I heard him say to me and now I looked at him confused.

"Why-. I mean, you should be, to think I let myself be taken by surprise like this. This would have never happened if I had been with my team." I felt my mouth dry up by my words, cause this could have happened to me.

"Sorry." I hear him say once more. Stupid blurry vision, stop this at once.

"It is fine. You don't need to apologize. Just be sure you don't do this again and follow my lead next time."

"Sorry."

"Would you quit apologizing already!? Why? Why are you apolo-."

"Sorry for getting blood on you." He said weakly as I saw him close his eyes.

...

I was trying my best to not bring it up and now I completely feel awful. I go and grab his hand and squeeze it tightly with mine. "Hey! Hey, just... Just hold on, the others will come soon. Velvet and Neptune seem to be holding out pretty well. I'm sure they will be with us soon enough."

"You really think so Schnee?" A voice is heard behind me and I turn to see the Man from before walking towards us. His weapon getting dragged behind him and I can clearly see his face. By the looks of him, he had scales all over his face.

"Stay back." I get up from the floor and ready Myrtenaster. Ready to continue to fight.

"Don't worry. I won't kill you first. I'm going to kill that kid first and make you watch as I take his life away." I wanted to step back to get some room. But with Seth here, all I had to do was stand my ground.

'Velvet, Neptune? Anyone, please hurry.' Was all I could think about as the Man got closer to me. And with a roar he charge at me.

As he got close to me I prepared myself to block his attack... However, it didn't come at all.

"What?" Raising my head I see the man in question standing still and glowing purple.

The next thing I knew he began to levitate off the ground and slam towards the walls next to us. But it didn't stop there once more he was slammed into the other wall and onto the ground. This kept going on for a minute straight and by the end of it, the man fell to the ground unconscious.

Confused by what just happened I began to hear footsteps behind me. Turning to face the source, I see Miss Goodwitch walking close to us.

"No one is to hurt my students." I see her fixing her glasses as she turns to me and then looks at Seth's body as well. "Miss Schnee please keep looking after Mister Sapphire. The rescue team will be with you shortly." With that, she continues to walk forward and lifts the unconscious man up taking him with her.

Feeling my legs go weak, I fall to the ground next to Seth as I take a sigh of relief.

"It's over... Thank goodness it's over."

"Weiss!" The sound of Ruby's voice echoed and soon I was brought to the ground by her. To be honest, I am happy to hear a friendly voice.

"Is everything okay? Are you hurt? Are you..." She went quiet as I knew why this happened. "Is... Is he." I could hear the fear in her voice, I just wish she didn't have to see him like this.

"Seth!" Some more voices are heard as I turn to see Pyrrha and Jaune fall right next to him. By the looks of it, Jaune seems to be worried a lot, but nothing compares to Pyrrha right now. She looks so distressed right now that he isn't responding... Oh.

"Pyrrha he's fine. Aura exhaustion does that to people. Especially when it breaks."

"Break? What happened?" Jaune asked.

"We were attacked by some White Fang members." I turn to Ruby, "The same ones from the train." Seeing her eyes widen I just knew this was going to be a long explanation for them. "He... He took a hit for me. I'm sorry." That's all I could say as I heard even more footsteps beginning to get close to us. Honestly, I just didn't care anymore. I just wanted to close my eyes and sleep this whole day now.

After all was set and done. Vale was a complete mess. Way more damage all around the city, many people were either injured or worse, Students were hurt, Huntsman's were either missing or searching, and the police were stretched as far as they could. Today was really a messy day for all.

The moment the teams all gathered around the center of Vale they saw that the hole where the Grimm came from was finally patched up courtesy of Miss Goodwitch. The moment she arrived she lent a helping hand to her colleagues as they were dealing with the Grimm wave.

Having bullheads begin to land around the area. Some began to take in the injured students. Some of them included Velvet, Neptune, Seth, and many others who came to help. The minor injuries were dealt with on the spot.

Behind those ships, Mercury and Emerald were walking Roman to the Atlesian Knights where they proceeded to walk him on board as their prisoner. Sadly from what they said, the girl with mixed color hair was able to escape them, so for now Roman was now in custody. Many more arrests happened. Some of them were all of the injured White Fang that didn't put up a fight. The Lieutenanaut that Glynda took care of and other White Fang that did put up a fight.

With the area now secure the team began to head back to Beacon to rest up after the day they had. Missions were now suspended for those who fought today.

As one of the bullheads landed, Team JNPRs began to quickly rush toward the medical area to go and see their teammate. Team RWBY was going to follow them but decided to stick around for the moment to let them rest for a bit.

"Well, today was a day" Yang was the first to speak as the four of them overlooked the city.

They kept silent as their attention was on Weiss who just kept silent. "Weiss." Ruby tried to talk to her but Weiss quickly spoke up.

"If we don't get extra credit for this, I'm going to be seriously disappointed for this." She told the group this but none of them answered. Almost understanding what she was trying to do here. So Yang just went along with it.

"Weiss, a two-headed snake literally crushed a bakery, I wouldn't count on it." Weiss simply nodded at this silently thanking Yang.

"Plus, I mean, we didn't solve everything, a lot of people were hurt and still don't even know why they did this or how they were able to take Atlas stuff." Ruby whines as she looks downwards disappointed with herself a bit. But it was Blake who placed a hand on her back assuring her leader.

"We might not have all the answers but we do have a lot of dangerous people behind bars, and I think that's something we can be proud of." With a nod, Ruby smiled back at Blake's words.

"Yeah." Ruby happily agrees with Blake, "And if anyone tries something like this again, we will be ready to stop them!"

"Yay…Teamwork, comradery, go guys, go team, good job," Yang stretched, laying on her back as each word trailed off. "So, what now?"

"What do you mean?" Ruby said as she got up first. "Let's go make sure our friends are alright." With Ruby beginning to walk away her team all began to stand up and follow her toward where the injured were stationed.

Reaching the doors to the nurse's office team RWBY noticed that a few of the injured were now able to leave with minor scratches. Opening the doors they see their friends all around.

They saw Velvet sitting on one of the beds with her team around her. She had a few bandages around her legs and arms but she looked fine.

They then saw Neptune who was lying on a bed with his team also around him, the only noticeable injury that he had was a bandage around his head. He and his team waved at the others as they began to walk more inside the room.

The last person they saw was Seth, whose back was fully covered in bandages. He was lying on his front so he didn't feel any discomfort. His team was also around him, but Pyrrha was sitting on a chair next to him holding his hand.

"So how is he doing?" Ruby said as she stood next to Nora and Ren.

"They said he would recover once his Aura gets back up. For now, they just gave him some pain medication." Ren informs her as she lets out a sigh of relief. The rest of her team just stood behind her as they kept looking down at the boy.

"Can someone explain to me what happened back there?" From across the room, the voice of Coco got everyone's attention as she walked towards the middle of the room. "Why did more Grimm show up? Why didn't we follow the professor's directions? Why did you all decide to split up from your team?"

"Hey! You ran too." Sun got up from his seat and began to also walk toward the girl in question.

"True, but my team was still with me." From behind her Velvet looked away in shame from this. Seeing that no one answered she continued. "Well, no one? Tsk. Typical first years. Think they can do everything."

"What is your problem?!" Yang walked up to Coco as she now stood in front of her, with anger in her eyes. "We did what we could and we were able to protect the city."

"Sure, after it nearly got destroyed. For the, Oh I don't know third time this year?" Coco said to her as she now looked at the rest of team RWBY. "You know its funny how every time something happens to Vale, you four or Five." She looks towards Seth, but his team gets in her way. "Are always somewhere around that area. So I must wonder whose bright idea it is to always get themselves involved in all of this."

"Hey! We were there too!" Sun quickly got involved making everyone turn to him. Neptune on the other hand covers his face with his hand out of embarrassment.

"Wonderful now that I got a confession this could be way."

"Coco, that's enough." From behind her Fox places a hand on her shoulder to calm her down. "Now is not the time. We are tired, hurt, and too angry with ourselves at the moment." He begins to drag her to the others who are now at the door. "Let's not do something we are going to regret again." Coco simply grits her teeth at this and leaves the room first. Followed by Fox. Velvet followed right after and the last one was Yatsuhashi as he apologized to the others.

The room goes silent as the remaining team begins to contemplate on what team CFVY just told them.

They were right about one thing. They were un organize when everything went to shit. They disbanded, they didn't know whose orders to follow or what they could have done better to help the others. Sure they saved the city, but others were hurt. People were hurt and all of this happened because some wanted answers. Some wanted to prove themselves, some wanted an adventure, and some wanted to hold a legacy up.

All different reasons, but know of them had the right to help the people that were in danger.

As the day went on Team RWBY was the first to leave the nurse's office, saying they were going to get some sleep, after the day they had they needed to relax and try to get their barring in shape. They said their goodbyes and went on their way. Team SSSN was the next group to leave, after making sure that Neptune was alright to walk. The team decided to go and get food before going back to their dorms. Since missions were now suspended they had no real reason to go into Vale now. They also said their goodbyes and thanked Neptune for the help.

So all that remained was Team JNPRS as they still stayed in the room with Seth. Ren decided to go and get food with Nora, they offered to bring something back for the rest but Jaune and Pyrrha said they were not hungry. Not wanting to argue they left their teammates behind promising they would come back soon.

As the two teammates sat in silence, Jaune looked at his partner as she kept hold of Seth's hand.

With a deep sigh. He began to talk. "I'm sorry." That got Pyrrha's attention as she looked at her partner. "I should have made a plan when we began to split up. I should have informed the others on where to meet up. I should have been a better leader when the time came. I'm sorry."

"Jaune." Pyrrha said as he continue.

"I should have never come to this school."

"Now hold on. That's not true."

"It is. I should have never come here. You and Seth would have been better partners. You guys with Ren and Nora would have been a better team without me."

"Jaune that is not true at all. We do need you."

"Why? All I have done is drag all of you guys down with my lack of skill, it doesn't even come to par with the amount of work all of you have been doing for me. I'm still lacking in my studies, on my combat capabilities, and even with my leadership skills. What do I even have?"

"What about earlier today? Your plan with Nora and Seth on the bullhead."

"That was."

"Or when you took out that Ursa, by yourself."

"That."

"Or when you had Ruby's back when you two were facing off with Roman?"

"That was mostly her doing all the work."

"But you still had her back. You have skills Jaune way better than you did when we first met. You are improving. Little by little but you are improving way more than you started."

"But." He was going to continue but soon they heard someone else talk.

"Oh for fuck sake Jaune! Just take the compliment." The two turned to the source of the voice and saw Seth looking at the two.

"Seth!" They both said and got close to him.

"Sigh... Please keep it down a little. These meds are kicking my ass right now."

"How are you feeling." Pyrrha said as she looked at her friend.

"Back hurts a lot right now. But I feel like my Aura is kicking in right about now." He looked back at her and saw her with little tears on her face smiling as brightly as she could. He then looked at his leader who was still looking down. "Don't keep talking bad about yourself Jaune. Or else I'll get up and smack some sense into you again."

"But."

"Hey. You did your best and like Pyrrha said, you are getting way better than when you started. So head up. We need a leader in this team. Not a whinner." Seth throws a smirk at him and that makes Jaune nod a little. He begins to walk towards the door excusing himself as he decides to go and find Nora and Ren. They could use the help at the moment. He leaves the room leaving the two alone now.

"I swear that guy can get confidence out of nowhere and you can easily take it away from him. There is no in-between with him." Seth soon feels his hand get squeezed once more and sees Pyrrha looking back at him.

"Hey... So what did I miss?" Her hand just squeezes tightly and she begins to explain what had happened after he passed out. So Roman got captured, but his assistant got away. Some White Fang got arrested while others escaped. The city is in ruins. And lots of people got hurt.

So some good, some bad, and a few in between. Honestly, the fact that we all made it out alive here is a miracle on its own, but I'm happy that everyone got out safe.

"Seth what happened back there?" This was a question that I knew was coming. Honestly I rather not say but I know she won't back out from it.

"I don't know... I just panic." Not a lie but also not the truth. "Sigh... I just froze up Pyrrha. Things got so serious that I just had a lot of things on my mind."

She looked at me, knowing something was wrong, but she at least understood that I didn't want to talk about it right now.

"You know you can talk to me." This time I was the one who squeezed back.

"I know... And I will... Just feel like after today... We might need to take things seriously.

"Why do you say that? The criminal was captured and the White Fang left. What more can happened?"

"I don't know... But something always happened in times of peace, so we better get ready for it." Remembering that everything happens around Vytal... We really need to get ready.

The door to the room opens and in runs Nora, quickly moving to our side. Lucky for me she didn't jump on my back. So I was thankful for that. They were kind enough to bring me something at least. Even though they didn't think I would be awake, but they just cared enough for me.

I have the best team.

We spent the rest of the day here just relaxing over the day we had and soon it was already night. I told them that I was just going to stay the rest of the night here and rest up some more. To be honest here, I just wanted to sleep on a bed tonight, and after today I deserve it. They said their goodnights and began to leave the room, promising that tomorrow they would be here again. Also promising me that they would not tell the others I was awake. I had a surprise for them. With Jaune leaving first followed by Ren and Nora, Pyrrha was once again the last one to leave. She took her time, just making sure that I was okay, but I assured her that everything was fine.

"Get some rest. We can talk more tomorrow."

"Alright... Goodnight" Pyrrha said to me and I waved back at her.

"Goodnight." I closed my eyes and began to rest a bit more. Today was an eventful day. Sure we did miss our mission, but I guess this counts as something big. I began to hear footsteps get close to me again and before I could comprehend why she was walking back.

I felt something soft on the right side of my cheek.

"Good Night, Seth." The person responsible quickly moves to the door and closes it. Leaving me...

"I am thankful that I'm not connected to a heart monitor right now. Cause that thing would have been spiking right about now." I said to myself as I placed a hand on my cheek and began to burn up a bit. 'Keep calm my beating heart.'

Closing my eyes I let sleep begin to take me... But.

Sigh... Why do bad things happen to good people?

"The plan has changed now. Since Roman is now in custody and we were able to form a bond now with a few of the team's thanks to those two." Cinder said as she looked at both of her subordinates. She then turns back to the person she was talking to. "I am going to need you, to get information on one student now. Seeing as he doesn't think anything of you. It should be easy for you to get on his good side." Cinder then sends a message to the person and soon the person receives it, seeing the picture of the student.

"Find out more... About his music. Cause something is telling me, that he will be a most useful pawn... in the future." With that Cinder gives her orders and with not being able to disagree the person nods her head at her with a small smile on her face.

"Hm. Hm. Hm. Hm," A man simply hums a tune as he continues to look on towards his experiment. Seeing his experiment begin to wake up, the man rises from his seat only for him to sit back down as he sees it explode right before his eyes.

"Sigh... Test subject number 1124, failed." Getting up from his chair he begins to walk towards his computer, ready to start his next test.

"Hm... Running low on subjects... No matter, I can always acquire more." He says to himself, as one of his eyes begins to glow red.
