Omake: She's Late
The classroom of Class 1-A is a buzz, everyone is bustling around at their desks; catching up about their weekends before homeroom starts. Most are split into little cliques, but the oddest clique is the one made up of Denki Kaminari, Kyoka Jiro, Tenya Iida, Mina Ashido, and Ojiro Mashirio who are all gathered near the front of the classroom, with their attention solely on the ticking clock.
Denki lights up watching the clock's hands tick away. "Wait for it. Wait for it. 8:36~!" He cheers. "Momo Yaoyorozu is officially late for the first time ever." He's way too excited about this but he doesn't care. "Alright let's do this. Who's got theories?"
The muse favors Iida, "Uh, perhaps her alarm didn't go off!"
Denki couldn't be more disappointed, "All three alarms? All with battery backup? Come on! Who wants to take this seriously?"
"Ooh!" Ojiro jumps in excitement. "Maybe she was taken in her sleep!"
"That's what I'm talking about! Super dark, but way more plausible than the Class Rep's idiotic alarm clock theory."
Jiro frowns but decides to play along, "I bet her maid tucked her into bed too tight and she got stuck."
That's an interesting theory but Mina would like to think that her idea is better. "Maybe she fell into another dimension where we're all evil variants of ourselves?"
"It's homeroom." Mr. Aizawa interrupts, clearly pissed off and tired from a long night of patrols, dealing with his students' bullshit this early in the morning is the last thing he wants. "Why are none of you in your seats?"
But Denki's not determined; excited to share the fun. "Momo Yaoyorozu is a few minutes late and we're all trying to guess why."
Aizawa pauses and actually considers it… "I'd like to play; I'd say she's…stuck…in traffic." He considers his theory and admits with full honesty. "This is fun."
"It is fun. But you're all wrong!" Denki happily exclaims. "She clearly slipped through a subway grade and has become the Queen of the mole people!"
Suddenly the classroom door swings and Momo comes running in, out of breath and in a panic.
"There she is!" Denki happily announces before switching into a sterner and more upset facade. "Yaoyorozu, where have you been? We've been worried sick! Do you care to explain YOURSELF!?"
"I'm just 70 seconds late-it's not a big deal-don't worry about it." Momo defends in a very hurried breath.
However, the last thing anyone expects is for Aizawa of all people to call her out. "Yaoyorozu, you will tell us and you will tell us now."
Not used to being scolded, she nervously answers. "Traffic was a mess…"

This Omake is a parody of Brooklyn Nine-Nine's Season 2 Episode 6 Cold Open "Amy is finally late."
*UPDATE* I am a liar. Or more accurately I underestimated how much work I have left on this arc. I still have about 25% of the Abduction Arc left to complete. But what's really holding me back are the edits: I realized I forgot certain characters in certain scenes. Or I realized I needed to add certain elements that are either relevant or important. And so on and so forth. It also doesn't help that I only make any major progress on the weekends and this weekend I will be too busy to even touch my laptop. Also, the fact that fanfic as a whole is not alerting its users and readers about updates, PMs, and such is really disheartening. I really want everyone to see the new chapters as they come so the fact that this happens now is kinda pushing me to wait to post until it's fixed across the entire site. But I am unsure if I should follow that logic.
Soooo, I need more time. I am not ready to post at all. I'm so sorry for getting all your hopes up but I really wanna get this arc as perfect as I can. I will try to do more Omake updates at least every other week.
