Author's Note: Seriously Alternative Universe with major O.O.C- ness: I Do apologize for it. This story will be rated M for profanity- which there is a lot of the f bomb dropped in this story (like seven or so in a row at some point if not more), it is Helluva Boss and Hazbin Hotel after all- and some possibly graphic gore content, though I am hoping to avoid that too much. Constructive criticism is appreciated; however, I would appreciate if there are no flames or abuse to my failure to keep the characters in character. Thank you. Especially if after the Alternate Universe notes, you're still willing to read the story.
Also, there aren't nearly enough stories to read that involve more focus on these three interacting- which makes sense, since ones an imp, one's an overlord, and the other is the King of Hell... Which really sounds like the set up of a joke- and they're my favorite throughout the two shows, so I had to make this.
Trigger Warning: This story will possess self-harm, it shouldn't be anything too descriptive, but it is there. It's not a lot, though there will be moments that seem to focus on it. Please be careful and aware.
Disclaimer: I don't own either Helluva Boss or Hazbin Hotel.
The Alternate Universe Notes:
Stolas and Stella are happy together and married. The main villain there is Stella's brother in this universe, rather than Stella herself. However, it won't be heavily mentioned if it is at all. This is just how the universe differs. Blitz is also not involved romantically with either Stella or Stolas.
Blitzø saved Octavia when she was little and that was how he became a friend of theirs'. This is how he got to use the book when he started I.M.P. The monthly transaction is allowing or accompanying Stolas and/or Stella to somewhere or to do something, even if it's something he doesn't like. Normally though, it's guard duty or hanging out with them.
While Blitzo has had some sexual encounters in the past, he's not actively involved with anyone. I do not have Alastor or Lucifer actively paired or involved with anyone either. Also, Lillith probably won't be mentioned, so I'm slightly ignoring that part of canon. Again, I'm sorry. While there is background romance, it's some of the relationships like: Stella/Stolas. Moxxie/Millie. Angel Dust/Husk. Charlie/Vaggie. Romance is not the main theme in this story. So it won't be a large focus.
Blitzø is a little taller and has long dark reddish-brown hair with paler brown-blonde streaks. It's similar to length as his mother Tilla's, because why not? I saw a fanart with human Blitzo having long brown hair and I liked the drawing a lot. So there we go.
Blitzo is 5'0. Lucifer is 6'6. Alastor is 7'0. This is just reference for their heights.
Blitzø is pronounced Blitz. It will only be written out as Blitzo in summary. Sorry for any confusion.
This will also be after the end of the first Hazbin Hotel season. The hotel is more than just used for Rehabilitation but also recovery and recouperation of Hell's denizens. Non- spoiling spoiler warning: Alastor's situation is never mentioned, nor the situation with Charlie. For those who know, I'm actively pretending that it's been concluded and no longer a thing.
Age is ambiguous since they're in hell and no one seems to age much... Just assume that everyone is of adult age, and they've all been around for several decades or a century or so... Whichever works for you to make since of the time lapses. Take Charlie for example: She's 20's biologically, here that is 200 years, or something similar to that.
The extermination no longer happens, though. Hell can take care of its population just fine. We see enough of them being killed anyways on screen by each other.
Summary:
Blitzø is very uncomfortable and untrusting of higher ranks in the Hell Hierarchy. Stella and Stolas were exceptions after all these years. Asmodeus was an exception due to his love for Fizz. However, they were the only exceptions.
His distrust stemmed from something that had happened back in his younger years. But he could have continued on just fine, if it wasn't for the situation involving two specific high-ranking demons from decades ago- The Radio Demon: Alastor. And the King of Hell himself: Lucifer.
When Blitzø was younger, he had escaped a powerful and abusive Overlord through sheer luck and perseverance. During the years, he's moved until he finally settles down in Pride Ring for a bit. Here, he makes two separate friends that he truly cares about and likes, trusts even... until he learns that they're two high ranking demons in disguise who are around him because they're bored and making use of his vulnerability for their own amusement.
Without a word, he leaves more hurt and betrayed than he thought he'd be, once more on the run until he eventually settles down in Imp City some decades later. It's here, where he begins his job as a professional hitman with his I.M.P employees, adopted hellhound daughter, and the help of Stolas's grimoire to access the human world.
While he'll never forget them or want anything to do with them, he also refuses to be the naive, optimistic, ignorant bitch that was just an amusement factor for two bored and powerful demons who have probably forgotten about him at this point. What were the chances of him running into them again, anyways?

Alastor remembers a certain time a few decades ago. He remembers being more cautious, before he was the most powerful of the Overlords, yet bored because of how slow going obtaining his power was. He remembers moving for a while, amassing his powers until he was stronger than he was, even revealing himself as the Radio Demon some weeks later.
And he remembers that inn in the Pride Ring with the dark-haired imp that he had spent the days with just enjoying existence. Not something he had experienced before then. He remembers becoming... friends, sort of, he thinks... With the imp. Opening up to each other, even if only a little. Eating together. They had even danced a few times. And there was the theater they had visited.
He enjoyed the other's messed up humor and the wild side that peaked through every now and then. He had even respected his own sass. But Alastor also enjoyed witnessing that soft, vulnerable side, the one the imp showed to so few. Just him and one other, as much as that made his blood lightly simmer.
His low-ranking sinner disguise at the time was helpful, since his imp was wary around anyone too high ranking, especially the Overlords and Sins. He remembers an Overlord being the deciding factor of that though the imp never revealed which one. A reason he had never revealed himself. And, more clearly than all of that, he remembers the day the imp disappeared.
The heartache. The fury. The desire to hunt down the imp and keep him by his side where he should have stayed. The frustration when every avenue failed. Alastor never did find him again. Or, he hasn't found the imp yet. He would never give up the search, even with everything that had happened since he had come to the hotel.

Lucifer remembers the humdrum tedium of his work. It was stressful and boring, and he was still depressed at being separated from his daughter several decades ago. One day, he decides to use a low-ranking sinner disguise for the sake of getting away from everything at the palace for a little while.
He remembers that inn deep in the Pride Ring. He remembers meeting a dark-haired imp who was funny and sweet. Who was kind but also sadistic sometimes. Who got Lucifer's mind off the boredom of his royal chores. Helped him to get away from the depression that had hounded him for so long. They shared meals and drinks, enjoying nights or days as just another couple of friends not too different from the ones around them that were catching up.
And Lucifer remembers the nights they stayed up until morning just talking. Sometimes they discussed the small things like ducks and horses, their favorite animals. Or favorite meals and their other likes. And one night they even discussed something more personal: Lucifer's depression at being separated from his child. His struggle with other things he had to do at his work that piled up. And the imp being at the hands of an abusive and powerful higher ranked demon. Or how his self-hatred had come from mistakes he had made when he was younger. Neither went into great details about any of those things, though just kind of discussing them had helped a little.
But the revelations had made Lucifer thankful for his disguise. Though he started trying to look into powerful ranked demons who had abused an imp who was runaway. An unfortunately high number of cases. He remembers the moments of vulnerability that his imp showed him. A rare thing that only he and one other were privy too. Something that made Lucifer's golden ichor simmer, even though he knew the imp deserved more friends.
But more painful to remember was the day his impish friend had disappeared. He remembers the pain and heartache he felt. The desperation to find him again, to prevent repeating the past and losing someone else he cared so much for. He never did find him, though he never gave up the search. But after that, he buried himself in work until his daughter called him for the first time in a long time. And then the whole thing with Alastor and the hotel and the extermination happened, and he was forced off the search for longer than he had wanted.

Neither of them forgot the imp from that inn that somehow managed to elude them. Or the long months they had spent with him. Free of expectations and responsibilities, being themselves in both a more honest, yet admittedly deceptive way. Neither had thought they'd see him again, let alone at the hotel. Nor were they prepared for the reception they received as they tried to figure out what had happened that led to Blitzø leaving them.

This story happens when one of the transactions Stella and Stolas planned involves Blitzø and the members of I.M.P and Octavia, having a two week- long vacation at Hazbin Hotel. Wanting Blitzø to recover from injuries recently received. No one was prepared for the revealed connections Blitzø has that he's been trying to forget. Some extreme misunderstandings and assumptions. Nor were they ready for the Radio Demon and King of Hell to be so persistent. Or for another trouble from even earlier that threatens Blitzø.
It's a new mess that Blitzø has to work through, while trying to keep himself out of the hands of those high rank demons that would only hurt and use him. But he's going to need help, and those two might be the only ones who can do it.
Blitzø really wishes Stolas and Stella hadn't sent them here.
