Author's Note: Here is chapter two. It's not very long and we get Alastor and Blitz's first interactions together and some insight on Alastor. Hope you enjoy and let me know your thoughts.

Chapter 2: An Unexpected Reception

The hotel was larger than Blitz had expected. Even across the city, he could see it on the end of one of the pentagram's points. As they moved further and further through the city, Blitz felt himself tensing. This city was full of Overlords, and it made his skin crawl. But it was fine. So long as he didn't attract any attention from them, he'd be fine. Hopefully there weren't any high-ranking demons staying at the hotel.

He glanced at the pamphlet they had picked up when stopping for gas at one point. He grabbed it up without anything else to do. The girls were excitedly trying to plan their itinerary from the list of activities Stella had provided for them. Apparently, there was a concert later that week that they'd be going to for sure. And Moxxie had been chosen as the driver since he would follow whatever road rules Hell still followed, and they hadn't wanted him to strain any of his injuries, especially the new ones on his forearms.

The pamphlet had a map of the city as well as a list of all the clubs, restaurants, amd malls that could be found throughout the city. It also mentioned some city wide events that were held. The pamphlet was about six years old though, which considering it was Hell was practically updated. So he wasn't sure how many were still running.

The very back held another list. This one was of the overlords that could be found throughout the city during that time six years ago. A quick glance didn't reveal any overlords that he was particularly familiar with other than Carmine, due to her business in angelic arms dealing. And of course Valentino- but fuck that guy. He was dispicable trash even by Blitz's prejudiced standards and he truly felt sorry for any sinner contracted to him.

For the others, however, he just knew what he had heard back in Imp City over the years. Which, admittedly, wasn't a lot. Either way, he wanted nothing to do with their kind if he could help it. There was nothing from the past three years since the exterminations had been cancelled which he heard had been due to the Princess of Hell. He hadn't heard much after her father had gotten brought up. He sighed and let the pamphlet drop.

He was tired, having struggled getting any sleep due to his worries fragments from a time he wanted to forget. In addition, his injuries were taking their time to heal since he wasn't abusing any stolen recovery drugs which left him achy and sore. He glanced at his phone when it pinged. Fizz was telling him to enjoy his vacation and that he'd be visiting later that week since Asmodeus had business there.

Blitz couldn't help the smile on his face at that. He and Fizz hadn't hung out in a few weeks, both had been busy after all. And begrudgingly, much like the Goetic royal family, the Sin of Lust had grown on Blitz with the way he cared so much for Fizz. This made him the fourth on Blitz's very short list of exceptions to high ranked demons- since despite being young, Octavia was still a goetic princess, thus high ranked demon. So this visit from Fizz would be nice. Who knew, maybe the two of them could hit up a club like their more recent times, with his current bodyguards and the Sin of Lust watching them from afar out of protective worry.

Another text from Stella and Stolas also told him that they'd be visiting as well towards the end of the week. Blitz smiled as Moxxie parked the car. 'Who knows,' Blitz thought, feeling cautiously optimistic as the five of them began to make their way up the long driveway. 'Maybe this won't be so bad after all.'

Blitz really should have known better than to be optimistic.

Alastor casually strolled down the hallway and towards the lobby of the hotel. It had been doing well, especially since they had moved on from just rehabilitation. Knowing that not all of her people wanted to be redeemed, but that sometimes they still needed help, Charlie had opened up a program for recovery and recouperation. They did have to hire some more staff though, to keep up with the demand.

Currently though, things had calmed down and they didn't have too many guests which was a relief despite how it might seem. He glanced into the lobby, to see it mostly empty. It was still relatively early in the morning for Hell, so most that were there were still sleeping. Though Alastor knew that Charlie and Vaggie were shopping that morning and weren't present. The reception desk was being manned by Angel and Nifty, while Husk was behind the bar setting it up.

"How is everyone this morning?" he asked cheerfully, walking into the lobby. Husk grumbled in annoyance while Angel just looked at him with a raised brow. Nifty, however had immediately raced to his side and sat on his shoulder talking fast.

"We have new guests coming today! I wonder how fun it'll be to play with them." The little sinner cried.

"Oh, new guests? How many, and for which part?" he asked Angel curiously.

Angel sighed at him. "Recovery and Recouperation. No sinners in the party of five." Angel replied. Alastor raised a brow.

"Indeed. Then what does make up this little party?" Angel rolled his eyes before answering the question.

"A hellhound, a goetic princess, and three imps." He replied. Alastor had frozen a little.

"Imps?" he asked curiously. Angel gave the other a wary glance. After three years of living together, the original residents had learned to pick up certain tonal shifts from the overlord.

"Yes. I hope you're not going to discriminate against them! They are guest and will be treated as such." Angel told the demon who actually looked offended at having his character judged in such a way.

"I will have you know that I was an equal opportunity killer when I was alive, thank you very much. I don't discriminate against anyone." Angel scowled.

"Yeah, that's real reassuring." he retorted.

"So, what are the details?" Alastor asked, pushing for more just to be annoying. It should be reassuring, thank you very much.

"I don't have too much more on them, but the reservations were made by Prince Stolas and Lady Stella of the Goetia. Apparently, they aren't just a party of five, but four are actively bodyguards for some of their stay."

"Probably to protect their daughter." Husk commented from across the lobby.

"You'd be wrong kitty." Angel replied with a tease. "Actually, this princess is labeled as a bodyguard in their details."

"That's a new one." Nifty said, blinking and rejoining Angel at the desk. "Oh they're expected really soon!"

'Indeed, it is a new one.' Alastor thought. "So, the princess is bodyguard for a lower rank, how refreshing." he trilled. "Have fun." He walked away back to a hall to check on the upcoming meal. He was several steps from the darkening hallway when the entrance to the hotel opened and the group of five that they had been discussing walked in.

Not that Alastor looked to know that, mind you. He just had excellent enough hearing to decipher the steps of three imps, a goetia, and a hell hound. He passively listened to them as he slowed his steps slightly. She was a princess, after all, and it was best to be informed.

"High, party of five under Stolas and Stella." A chipper, female voice sounded.

"Right, we've been expecting you." Angel said, sounding chipper himself. It was an unusual group, after all. "Names please, so I can find the rooms for you."

"Loona."

"And I'm Octavia."

"Great, you two are sharing Suit 306." Angel said. Alastor tilted his head at that as he slowly got closer to the hall.

'What an unexpected couple.' he mused.

"I'm Millie, and this is my husband Moxxie." the first voice chirped again as Alastor was nearly at the hall.

"Suit 307. Which means you must be Blitzo!" Angel exclaimed. Alastor's foot froze right on the threshold of the hall.

What did Angel just say?

"Blitz, actually. The 'o' is silent." Alastor's head snapped around to face the source of the voice he would never forget. His eyes widened as he took in the familiar form. He had grown over the years he noted

Alastor had been looking for Blitz for decades, and there he was. Further behind the other four who were crowding around the front desk. Alastor didn't even feel himself turning back towards the lobby and stalking silently towards his unsuspecting prey. His focus was solely on the imp.

"Understood. It seems Prince Stolas and Lady Stella have you settled in the Goetia suit on the fourth floor!" Angel said in surprise, foguring Blitz was the one being protected. Alastor noted, even from the distance the soft and affectionate look on his Blitz's face at the mention of the two goetic royals.

Something in Alastor snapped. The Radio Demon blinked and found himself directly behind the imp. He barely noticed Angel and Nifty freezing at his sudden appearance behind Blitz. It was only at the very last moment that his logic kicked in and he changed tactics.

"Hello guests." Alastor greeted from right behind the imp before Angel could get any sound to leave his mouth in warning.

Blitz had just started to relax at seeing his little family excitedly crowding the front desk where a tall, six-armed sinner was doing the logs with a small, one-eyed sinner demon next to him playing with a knife of all things. He rolled his eyes in fond exasperation as the four gave the sinner, Angel, if he remembered the very few videos he had seen, their names.

"Which means you must be Blitzo!" Angel said glancing at him. Blitz didn't scowl but he did grimace before giving the other a small, charming smile.

"Blitz, actually. The 'o' is silent." he informed him.

"Understood. It seems Prince Stolas and Lady Stella have you settled in the Goetia suit on the fourth floor!" Angel said with a bit of surprise in his voice. Blitz huffed quietly, unable to help his fond exasperation for the couple, of course they had put him in their suit. He watched as Angel glanced up, only for both him and the little demon Nifty to freeze at something behind him.

'What are they-?' Blitz wondered before a voice he never wanted to hear again sounded behind him.

"Hello guests!"

Blitz would admit only to himself, that as many times his instincts to pull a weapon and swing or shoot when he was surprised had saved his life... Those same instincts were also likely to get him into some deep shit.

Depending on the opponent, the weapon he drew could change. In the case of a hell born, other low ranking hell spawn, or humans... His flintlock pistol worked perfectly. However, on the exceptionally rare cases of something higher than a sinner- he rarely needed to foght them after all- that weapon changed to an angelic dagger he had obtained just under a decade before, sometime after an extermination.

In the case of Alastor the Radio Demon, it was this dagger he drew. The familiar steel slipped into his hand as he spun with a large arch, forcing the Radio Demon to back up and out of his personal space to avoid being gutted. He positioned himself in a low crouch, ready to spring if the other so much as moved his way.

There had been little to no exertion at the attack, though he could feel that his injuries had opened from the quick and sudden movement. But his heart was too busy beating out of his chest despite his appearance for him to bother with it. He could feel a panic attack trying to happen but pushed it back. 'Fuck. Of course he's here. Why did I allow myself to be optimistic?' he wondered; eyes locked on the smiling demon who was clearly studying him.

The tension only broke when Loona scrambled foreword. "Dad!" She growled. "You know you can't move like that, now your wounds have opened. And why the fuck did you attack the fucking Radio Demon?" Loona growled, but Blitz could feel the worry from her and finally allowed his gaze to leave the demon who still watched him, leaving Blitz on edge.

"Sorry Loony Toony." He replied, slowly lifting himself from his attack position, wincing when the act resulted in a swifter blood flow, even behind the bandages that were quickly starting to soak through and darken his red shirt. The blade had disappeared back up his sleeve.

Blitz took a deep, fortifying breath before turning to the Radio Demon whose eyes seemed locked on the area the blood was, though they focused on him when he cleared his throat but made zero moves to get closer. His group stationed around him for back up if it was needed. They really were sweet.

"I apologize, Overlord Alastor." Blitz told the other with a bow. The words tasted rancid in his mouth, but it didn't seem that Alastor had recognized him yet, and he hoped it would stay that way. Maybe he would even ignore him fro the next however long they were there. "I'm afraid I'm not good when someone surprises me in my personal space the way you did and reacted poorly. I ask for forgiveness for my slight."

Each word caused a spike of panic to his chest as he spoke them. Here he was, having to pretend that this high-ranking, bloodthirsty, and cruel overlord wasn't also the same low-rank sinner he had befriended during his stay at an Inn in the middle of nowhere in Pride Ring. Like this wasn't the same person he had dined, danced, and even gone to theater with. The same person he had trusted with some of his most vulnerable moments. Fuck. He wished they hadn't come here.

"It's alright. I apologize for getting in your space like that. Shall we take you to the infirmary first, to help with your injuries? Or would you rather just be shown to your rooms so you can get settled in?" Alastor asked sweetly.

"Just the rooms please." the Goetic Princess said, stepping in front of Blitz and hiding him from Alastor's view. If the Radio Demon did anything but smile, he would have scowled.

"And we'll be stopping by Blitz's room on the fourth floor first, if you please." she told him, her voice only shook slightly, and Alastor had to hand it to the girl. She did well under the pressure of fear.

"Lovely. Come with me." Alastor chirped, grabbing Blitz's bag without asking and leading them to the stairs. He chose to ignore the shocked looks on the three sinners' faces at him playing a bellhop. They knew better by now than to comment.

HB/HH

Alastor's mind was racing as he paced in his radio tower. He was almost certain that Blitz knew who he was and who he had been to the other. He had suspected, during the last month or so before Blitz had disappeared, that the imp had maybe figured out who he was. He couldn't be positive though.

After all, Alastor had known of Blitz's aversion and distrust of high-ranking demons such as himself. And yet, after some weeks of sudden skittishness that Alastor had attributed to Blitz being attacked during the week he had apparently been sick- or something like that- which he never told Alastor about, the other had started relaxing and treating him as he had before.

Would Blitz have done that if he was aware of Alastor's rank, though? And if so, as it seemed the more likely option, then what had happened to cause Blitz to leave after more than a month of being with him and knowing his true identity?

Alastor growled as the memory of that morning flashed through his mind suddenly and without permission.

Normally, Alastor enjoyed when others postured to him or feared him. It always succeeded in providing him with a sadistic sense of joy. And if they were disgusted- like Lucifer tended to be- it was even more amusing.

However, Blitz had always been the exception. And to see his imp submit himself in a mix of fear and disgust to Alastor; to treat him like he was any other overlord without any connection to the imp, well, it had made his blood boil. He had a connection to his imp and he didn't appreciate the way it was being ignored. The behavior would not be tolerated.

And if Blitz really did recognize or remember him, he would make his displeasure known. Blitz knows how he feels about that behavior.

He sighed through the smile that never left his face and summoned one of his many shadow demons. There wasn't much else he could do at the moment. Alastor was not trusted by his imp any longer, and Alastor would find out the reason for it. After all, Blitz wasn't going to be allowed to leave him again after he had finally found him. It was just that with Blitz, it would be best to have that as a willing agreement.

He looked at his little shadow and thinned it enough to be only noticeable by him. He didn't quite trust his imp's body guards, so it would be up to him to ensure his safety, especially considering how injured Blitz was. Something he would be getting to the bottom of.

And it was obvious to the Radio Demon that Blitz's aversion to high-ranking demons such as himself and the overlords had developed into a near panic inducing phobia sometime during their separation, with very few exceptions. He growled. Exceptions which he no longer belonged. And Pentagram City was full of Overlords that Blitz might accidently gain the attention of, what with that unfortunate talent of his to stumble into trouble and his ability to attract pests.

"Go, and do not be discovered. You'll report right to me should anything be amiss, or he winds up in some form of trouble." he ordered the shadow that vanished into the darkness. Next he summoned a couple of souls that belonged to him.

"You have a new assignment." he told the two sinners who were looking aorund them. "Find me everything you can on Blitz the imp and those he's close to. I want to know everyone who was close to him and where he's been and what he's been doing from the past... seven years." He decided. With a wave of his hand sent the souls back to where he had summoned them from.

There, that should bear some fruit soon. And help him figure out why he hadn't found him in the past years. Letting the tension leave his shoulders now that he had an eye on his imp and was set to get some information, he stepped into the shadows in his radio tower and towards his next avenue of business. After all, he recognized an angelic blade when he saw one and there was only one overlord who dealt in angelic weapons. It was time to get some information.

Author's note: End of Chapter. We'll hopefully get some other player's next chapter. Also, this was originally going to have a fight scene but I'm bad at those. We did get to see Alastor almost lose his cool. Until the next chapter.
