Chapter 38:A Mothers Love
After the battle inside the unseen fortress right now waiting outside of the academy waiting for the others with worry looks where some of the families where waiting for them right now. As they where waiting glynda looked at her scroll with a worried look on her face
"They said they where on their way back. Where are they?"glynda questioned as thedoore sighed
"I don't know glynda. Let hope they have some good news they were vague on what happened on the mission"thedoore replied with katherine having medical staff at the ready for anyone as cotl was standing their with a worried look right now
But as they stood their winter stood their with hands behind her back. While she did a large shadow loomed over head as she looked up going wide eyed seeing the figure of a wyvern grimm
"Wyvern! Everyone get down!"winter ordered as they all screamed ready to run with the huntsman and huntress with the students that stayed here to attack it. But the grimm came down perching itself infront of the academy entrance making everyone move. Though they all looked shocked to see that it was white in color as on its back was pyrrha jumping down off the grimm
Waiting their was her mother who was in shock rushing over hugging her daughter who returned it. As the others where pulling up in trucks and jeeps with medical staff rushing over to assist as thetis laughed in joy
"Ohhh my little girl your okay and ummm..you uh….brought a friend"thetis said as the wyvern titled its head before nuzzling against the women making her stumble as she laughed slightly. With jazmine eyes going wide
"Holy crap you can control a wyvern! Awesome!"jazmine shouted at the sight before noticing her mom rushing over hugging her as ghira walked over embracing his wife relieved to see her okay right now. With the others coming out as declan stepped out as lisa with katherine stepped forward
"I..i…i know this is alot to ask but..is…"lisa couldnt' form the words right now as the man smiled with his tail wagging from side to side. Gently taking a stretcher out was dante and nix but lisa looked over gasping in shock covering her mouth with tears streaming down her face. Laying on the stretcher was her husband
But he looked different with his right arm and leg looking rotten right now as he had a breathing mask on. With katherine gasping in shock staring at her husband who smiled
"It seems that people with a heart of gold do get their happy ending"declan cried in joy as she smiled
"Take him inside and get him treated along with everyone else"katherine ordered as they did. Once they did carmine looked at the stretcher going wide eyed in shock right now. With her wife by her side the women covered her mouth going into tears with mariana pulling her into a loving embrace
"It seems maybe two of them made it out dear. "Mariana said as carmine looked over at hope. With the rest of ace ops hoping out but artemis noticed only four of them with elm heavily crying right now with marrow comforting her as hariett looked down. As clover stepped forward with a dreadful look
"Captain ebi. What happened? Where is sergeant zeki is he wounded"artemis questioned as the soldier stayed silent with a quivered breath. He didn't answer as some spartanas walked out with dreadful looks carrying something that being a stretcher. As they walked forward placing it down to reveal vine zeki with his eyes close with a smile on his face
Artemis went wide eyed as she commander fought her tears with winter looking over at elm and harret. With winter walking over pulling her into an embrace as hairett began to cry into her chest for her comrade. While ironwood looked at clover who had tears in his eyes
"We uh lost a soldier sir. I'll…fill out the report and–"he was stopped feeling a hand on his shoulder curiosity of ironwood
"Take some time off soldier. You've earned it, go grieve for your comrade thats an order"ironwood softly said as clover nodded sitting on a nearby crate holding his head crying right now with mariana walking over to console him
Next up was another stetcher containing a few of the other captive. But one had zoey who kept writhing around in pain panting with sweat beating down her face
"Mom! We need help she got injected with deathstalker venom!"xaner called out as katherine went wide eyed as verde rushing over seeing her current condition
"I got her kath. Follow me inside we can get her started on some fluids. Move it now"verde ordered the medics rushing in after him. With desdemona before carried out of a car by her husband as the women coughed into her hands with joey waiting with some acolyte with a nearby wheelchair. They placed her in it as the old women coughed into her hands for a bit spitting up blood
"Its okay dear sister. It seems that you got your wish…it seems the goddess blessing is smiling upon some"joey said as she sighed nodding
"Yes. could we go inside i'm rather tired…i need to rest"desdemona said as they nodded with savva being shoved out of the truck growling
"Lay your hands off me you vermin"Savva growled as sienna shoved him forward
"Get moving your going to be our prisoner scumbag"sienna said making him walk forward but staring at him for a bit was celeste eyeing him as he looked familiar right now
Walking isndie they began to give their debriefing to them on what happened. They where inside one of the lounges with some extra couches being pulled in as some of them layed on them or sat against walls exhausted right now
"So you saved diego. But umm…dracona…she…"mariana paused comforting her wife who was crying right now hearing what happened. As raven looked down in shame before staring at her

As they sat their hearing all that happened soon enough stared at savva who was bonded to a chair right now with a confused look

"Okay lets not watch this now because i rather not see this. Lets just toss this in the old broom closet"hairett said trying to grab it but celeste snratch it which confused them heavily right now as she held it close as it kept playing the current memory

"Why the hell are you smiling?"clover growled as the man started to laugh at them before sighing
"Oh shit i remeber that night…that dumb bitch i shot in the head is right their"Savva said making them all stay frozen in place right now hearing him admit he killed her. As lilith slowly looked over at him with wide eyes as soon enough his voice came through which may noticed

"You were their….you killed those inncoent people like they were nothing but common goods"iornwood growled as it showed them what happened to hel next. As it showed him that made all of them flinch as he shot her in the head as the tot in the memory cried for his mother
As pana cried out in agony right now holding her head with tears steaming down her face. With lazerez sitting down shaking his head as slade eye was glued on the screen. Though desdemona just watched her own daughter get shot in the head as tears escaped her eyes. Though the old women saw the culprit right before her right as savva noticed her glaring at him
But it showed what he did next that was throwing a child to a grimm. Though some stared at the familiar tiger faunus in the room seeing her catch said child. But at the cost of her arm as she tore it off in agonizing pain. While this happened something happened with nadia as her right arm where her numb was started to itch
"Gah! my..my arm…what…what the hell…it hurts"nadia cried out in pain falling to her knees with robyn rushing over with worry. As katherine rushed over placing a hand on her
"Deep breaths dear. Deep breaths"katherine said as she slowly took some deep breaths to calm down. Though slade walked over snatching savva up by his throat holding him in the air with one hard growling in rage as he snarled at him
"You killed my daughter! I'm going to make you suffer for what you did to my ltitle girl…do you hear me. Suffer!"slade shouted in rage as savva gasped struggling for air in his lungs. With a few spartans regrettable tearing him away struggling to as he dropped the man to the ground who cough and hacked for air in his lungs.
While he did miller looked to his commanding officer"sir want me let them start integrating this scumbag. He might have valuable intel"miller said but ironwood stared at the man infront of him for a moment before swapping a glance with artemis for a moment who shared it.
"Well we could. But…i don't like having to use this…i can just dig the last two weeks out of his brain. But it might cause brain damage"artmies said as she had a mind related semblance it didn't give her the ability to read minds. More like force information out of someones head.
They stayed silent as she looked toward ironwood for approval as he nodded. Artemis walked over digging her hands on savva head as her hands glowed a light blue. Then the man felt a ear bleeding headache crying out in agony right now with artemis slowly creating a dark grey arrowhead with a light grey haze around it
Once she was done she panted slightly before taking the arrowhead handing it to ironwood who studied it pocketing it. Then he asked someone something
" ….do with what you like with him. I suggest you dont' dirty the floor here"ironwood said with desdemona stared at him scoffing right now before seeing nadia who finally got her phantom pain under control asking her something
"Dear…kindly bring those two grimm pets that my grandchild kept."desdemona asked creeping them out right now wondering what she planned to do with him
Maybe after thirty minutes most of them just went to bed right now but alot of them where wondering what desdemona was going to do to savva. As they were in the training hall with some of the gravekeeprs their along with the council their not even cloaked as they where filled in on what this man did. With kami glaring at the man in anger with joey looking disgusted. Razputin himself was even disgusted seeing his face.
With nadia their with dawn on a leash panting along with dusk in fiona arms confused. Cardin, sun, neptune, team BBNT, TPAZ, velvet, razma, may, eden, pyrrha, nora and ren where their wondering what was going on. As aruna walked in confused
"So uh…are they gonna make this guy fight the grimm pets or something"Aruna asked stupidly with her mother their staring at her and the other kids
"You all shoudln't be here. This is a private event and well..it might show them doing something terrible"sienna warned as tanner huffed
"Come on i bet they just made them bite him. Then that slade guy while bury him alive or something"tanner said as desdemona was in a wheelchair still with savva growled with his hands tied behind his back
"Come on you cowards…just shoot met in the head…finish me…off"savva said struggling to speak but slade laughed as he was in his usually attire as he had a better idea

The two grimm looked at the old women finding a familiar scent to her as the old women stared at them issuing an order
"Kill him and devour his corpse"desdemona said creeping them out as nadia went wide eyed
"You…uhhh….dear i thought you would…"she was stopped as a few gravekeeprs glared at them keeping silent. As dawn growled at savva turning into her giant wolf form snarling at him with dusk going into his large cat form roaring and snarling at him
The man tried to escape but he was bounded onto the ground before suddnelty dusk poucned onto him. The grimm started clawing and tearing into his flesh as he cried out in pain. But dawn walked over opening her maw before biting down on his upper half making his cries become muffled right now. With dusk tearing off one of his legs beginning to eat it.
With dawn chomping on savva before swallowing him whole as the grimm neck bulged as he reached her stomach. The grimm wolf snarled walking around panting for a job well done right now. With the others hearing the muffled cries of his pain being heard within her. With cardin having a horrified look as may having her jaw drop almost dislcoating it. As aruna gagged puking into a nearby trashcan with dusk still eating his leg before going into his grimm form consuming it as it dissolved in an instant
Soon savva cries of pain could be heard stopping as dawn whined before going into her grimm form. Then spat up a bunch of bones covered in slime right now cooing and whining as she crawled over to her owner feet burping
They stared at her as loki looked at his mother who was smiling
"Grandma is nuts! She fed a guy to the grimm…i'm not gonna be able to sleep tonight!"loki shouted in shock
"Same here…i'm going to go wash my eyes out…why did you drag me here tanner"Zephyra asked as tanner looked horrified himself actually
"I'm going to go and puke"tanner said
They all decided to call it night while they did nadia looked at desdemona who went into another coughing fit wheezing harder. As she found whatever this was to be very messed up but guessed she was very hurt after seeing that right now. Maybe tomorrow she should visit her.
It was soon another bright new morning over vacou with everyone hearing the good news of the talon forces and unseen eye fortress being gone. But right now in the academy the students where all up and about right now. Though at their table some of them just stared at their food not really hunger. Which earl noticed
"Hey why aren't you guys eating right now? Aren't you hunger?"Earl qeustioned
"Not after what we saw last night…i'm not even hunger"nora admitted which surprised some

"Desdemona made dawn and dusk eat that savva guy. Dawn swallowed him whole and we could see him suffering…he got eaten alive and disgested"cardin answered making her choke on her drink. As the others stared at him in utter shock
"Dude your grandma is insane"sun said to loki who looked horrified himself right now
"My mom was smiling….dude…that guy killed my aunt but…dam i wouldn't want that on anyone right now"loki said as they all just could imagine the horrors
"I'm scared of dawn now is that bad"perun asked before a yip could be heard making him scream at the top of his lungs. Looking over it belong to skully who was in a carrier with his other three siblings. As carrying them right now was a tramatuzied looking asani and fiona. "Oh hello….umm uh did you all hear about last night"velvet cuatisouly asked
"If you mean mrs. G…feeding that guy to dawn then yes. Slade was jumping in joy last night…he wanted to bury him alive. But uh…yeah that was more messed up"cera said with a horrified look. Though elm sat down on the verge of tears still for her friend that she lost which they noticed
Seeing this fiona hesitantly opened the carrier as she tried to take one of them out. But all four came out scaring a few of them as tootsie rushed over plopping herself infront of dew who flinched. With fester leaping onto ren lap circling around sleeping their. With skully walking over going into his grimm form before eating a plate of bacon and the plate included. The grimm burped making them flinch
"Gah. i think i'm gonna have trust issues with them now"yumi said as crimson waddled over crawling onto elm shoulder meowing to get her attention. Elm looked at her before gently taking her cuddling her in her arms laying her head down sighing
Hariett sighed"look just trian these ones to not eat someone. Besides….uhhh their is the one that one owns. "She said pointing at pyrrha as they forgot about it
"Ohhh i forgot about that. Should we go pet the giant dragon that is probably outside"may asked
"Actually ummm i thought of a name for it this morning sense its a female actually. I um…called her glory…shes on the rooftop right now nesting."pyrrha replied as her tail swayed around
"Well then i'm gonna go see the giant dragon. Along with petting these ones and telling them no eating someone."tanner said pointing at the grimm mimic as they all agreed on that. But asani and fiona stopped as they wanted to go check on zoey
"Were gonna check on our sister. Maybe she up"fiona said as sun forgot about something

As they didn't travel far with bonnet and sun splitting off from the two. The two girls walked over to the room their older sister was in. opening the doors they looked inside to see zoey laying in bed right now awake right now as she was sitting their rubbing her leg as she was in some green patents pants and shirt sighing as her wife was hugging her right now
"Ohhh i'm so happy your okay foxy"akata cried as nadia and robyn where their. But the two where keeping their distance as dusk and dawn where their. With dusk laying on top of a cabinet with dawn laying on zoey bed nuzzling against her panting as zoey was giving her belly rubs
"Yeah i am too…these two seem to have missed me too"zoey said as asani rushed over hugging her without her mask on in tears right now
"Your okay…sis your okay"asani cried as zoey smiled hugging her little sister with fiona hesaintly walking over. As zoey sighed pulling her into one big group hug holding her sister in a loving embrace
"I'm glad i am too. Because i have a little baby coming on its way"zoey cooed as close by was also katherine, sienna and diamona as the polar bear kept her distance from the two grimm
"You mean your bouncing baby boy"diamona said which made zoey go wide eyed as she stared at her wife who looked shocked right now herself
"How do you know about that?! I didn't even tell you since i just woke up after having a concussion"akata questioned as katherine went eep making the two fox stare at her as the women covered her head with a clipboard
"I'm sorry it slipped out. Please don't feed me to the grimm like that women did"katherine cried in fear right now which confused the two as the two foxes stared at dawn and dusk as akata laughed
"These two whittle thing. They would never hurt a fly"akata said patting dawn on her stomach which made her spit up something. That being a finger bone which landed on zoey lap as the women face went pale as she screeched in free tossing it as it landed in fiona hair who screeched

"Why did she puke up a finger!?"akata shouted
"Right ummmm…desdemna feed that savva charater to her. Apparently he was the one at the slavery camp you where held at dear. And the same one who…exctued your brothers own mother"robyn explained with zoey eyes widening hearing that. As she made the connection but soften her gaze she woudln't wish that on anyone
Zoey then bonked dawn on the head who whined"bad dog. You got payback for my brother but never do something like that again. That goes for you dusk"she warned as dusk meowed annoyed at her with dawn panting licking her hand to apologize
"So despite that how is my ummm daughter"robyn hesitantly asked as karherine sighed
"Well she made a full recovery with the treatment my son provided before hand. You'll have a small scar on her your leg from that bullet and sting. Though you should be good to leave"katherine said
"Great! Though ummm…i heard from early a nurse mentioning the sabyr grimm is here…did you guys…save him?"Zoey asked as they stayed silent with katherine smiling with tears on her face
"I'm going to go see if hes awake. Verde can check you out"katherine said praticulary running off to see her old friend. They stayed silent as they quickly headed off to get checked out as they signed the release documents. With zoey getting changed into some new clothing being some black yoga pants with a orange sleeve hoodie crop top since her old clothes where ruined
"Their we are dear. But uh i'll be late for tonight i need to continue treating out patients"verda said kissing his wife on the cheek
"Thats fine. I have tia watching over our son."sienna said as he walked away though nadia seemed deep in thought as she was staring at her prosthetic hand clenching her fist which robyn noticed
"Dear everything alright? You had a attack with your arm last night"robyn asked as the tiger sighed
"Just….in the last two days we've showed that family nothing but heartbreak. We've shown my son getting beaten and now…we just showed them their sister and daughter getting shot in the head. I feel terrible"nadia admitted not wanting to hide it

"Don't do that again girl okay."asani said as they walked into the house seeing lilith bringing a tray of some porridge, tea along with some toast as she noticed them
"Oh umm…h-hello umm….about last night"lilith said nervously

As her other children where their with slade as lilith placed the tray out for her mother. Who noticed them
"Ohhh what bring you here…sorry last night"desdemona said
"Mhmmmm yeah kinda scared us not going to lie lady. Don't make the dog or cat do that…especially the baby grimm"celeste said as dawn whined curling around the end of the desdemona bed. With dusk leaping onto lazerez shoulder sleeping them as he chuckled
"We won't. What uh…brings you here"lazerez asked but robyn noticed something with all of them they had red eyes meaning they cried last night. The women sighed staring at the skull ring on her finger
"Well…diam had an idea. Look we showed you three terrible things to happen to your family. And well…celeste agreed to show something pleasant. "Robyn said scaring them a little as pana clenched her dress right with a scared look
"Do you promise?"pana asked as celeste nodded pulling her orb out before thinking of some she saw that were pleasant

Exhaling slowly celeste played the memory of that day that kid found june. It showed the memory of him saving miller along with expertly dealing with bandit forces. They stayed silent watching it with mars and lilith sharing a soft look with each other. Before it showed june their with desdemona eyes glued to it. As it showed her grandchild she never met comforting a poor child who lost her parents and giving her clothes to keep her safe from the cold.
It made lazerez go teary eyed seeing that with pana wailing right now in joy hugging her big sister who patted her on the head
"Thats why she kept calling him uncle…i wanna cry…and hug her"pana whined heavily as slade was laughing with a smile as his love had a smile on her face with some tears on her face
"Thank you…but i'd like to see a few more before you show me whatever this surprise from miss walker is"desdemona asked as celeste agreed showing a few more to them to make them happy and learn about the grandchild they never met
It showed what happened with the raid on wilkins tower. The other haven;t seen it but it startled them seeing holly about to get assaulted. Though nadia saw her son blow someone balls off for trying to assault a poor girl and comforted her. Along with to her shock him jumping out of a building saving that poor girl and reassured a councilman that everything will be okay
It did anger her for a moment seeing the general shocking her son but he seemed to have a new sense of justice now. Along with him beating the snot out of gundy solkov. Though it showed things he only told her. That being him and his teammates meeting for the first time along with the formation of their team
But it made pana laugh hearing how eria said he was a pervert right now as she was one to talk. Along with showing him and jaune friendship with each other blossoming along with meeting colt for the first time after so long.
Another showed him asking out those two girls to the vytal dance along with him reuniting with his sister and mother. Which made zoey fight the urge to cry but akata smiled hugging her as the fox let a few tears loose. Nadia was smiling hearing that dumb love song her son wrote for that wolf. As it ended lilith sighed whipping the tears off her face

"God you two. Whats this other thing you wanna show us?"lazerez asked as celeste stared at nadia as they did something before coming here. Celeste sighed channeling into her orb before something projected before them
That being a simply little apartment complex it seems with a living room and couch. Along with a chair and tv with their being a simply kitchen. With the memory owner being a younger nadia who still didn't have her prosthetic arm. But she with others that being a younger diamona in some purple maroon pants with a black t-shirt on with colt by her side. Along with roman their in the middle of separating his two kids as vance and lazuli where fighting like always
"No you smell!"vance shouted clawing at her

"Did they always fight?"cleste asked
"Yes"zoey replied as she was in the memory reading a book on the couch looking annoyed right now. As this was maybe three months if nadia could recall when she took them in getting used to her one arm. The tiger was struggling to make dinner but sighed giving up covering her hand with her one arm
"Great guess i'm ordering takeout for everyone"nadia said in the memory before someone wrapped their arms around her

Besides lucky for you i had someone cover for me back in the orphanage i run"amber said as sienna and diamona had a small wave of grief wash over them with robyn surprised that was her wifes old flame finding the simialirties already between the two. Nadia bluhsed in the memory as colt laughed
"Come on walker let her help. Maybe ask your little girl to help or play with her baby brother"colt said as the memory showed someone on the ground hugging a stuffed wolf plushie right now that being a three old zane in a dark blue shirt with some black shorts. As the younger zoey growled
"The catlady just took me in. that annoyance isn't my brother"the younger zoey said pointing at the tot as some stared at zoey who looked at them
"What? I lost my parents and it took me a year to warm up to my mom"zoey argued as her mother chuckled watching this intently
"I know sweetie just…preparing myself right now"nadia muttered softly as it showed her in the memory sighing walking over picking up the three old holding him in her one good arm struggling as she sat on the couch with him
"Come on…he hasn't said much since then. But he won't ever stop following you, not expecting you two to call me mom for a long time"the younger nadia said but suddenly the tot leaned against her hugging her calling her something
"Ma"the tot said making the her in the memory freeze right now as she stared at the tot in her arms with teary eyes as roman looked over surprised

"Mama"the tot said as they felt their hearts skip a beat right now. As the younger nadia started to break down crying in joy hugging her adoptive son in her one arm not wanting to let him go. As it ended right their with the real here having tears slowly escape her eyes as she covered her face sighing. Before she felt someone hugging her which was slade who smiled before releasing her
"Lets have some tea. Because i guess i can call these three my grandkids"slade said making fiona teary eyed hugging the old man as robyn felt touched
"Wait…my daughter and…well two other ones…your considering them like your own"robyn asked touched as desdemona coughed with a chuckled
"Why wouldn;t we? I can see how much love you gave my grandchild….lets talk to pass the time"desdemona said as nadia loved that idea deciding to talk about some memories she had of her son.
