Part 17
Kagome following the pull walked up the old, rugged steps to the front door. Each one creaks in a slightly different way. Kagome starts to notice a pain in her belly that gets stronger the closer she gets to the castle.
"Sesshomaru, something is wrong; my belly hurts, and it's not from eating or anything like that." Kagome said, gritting her teeth.
"Let us hurry; something is off." Sesshomaru said he was picking up Kagome.
Sesshomaru flying through the front door senses being on high alert. Kagome dropped to her knees in pain, shooting through her body. Gasping through breaths.
"So you've finally arrived?" Naraku's voice rang through the castle.
Kagome and Lord Sesshomaru look around, searching for the voice.
"Naraku, where are you show yourself, you bastard?" Sesshomaru bellows.
"Calm yourself, Lord Sesshomaru. I would expect better from you more than anyone else. Did your Lord's training teach you nothing?" Naraku said snidely.
"What have you done to Kagome?" Sesshomaru said.
"Oh, it's not just her, but as of right now, she is feeling the labor pains of my surprise." Naraku said, chuckling.
"What did you do to me?" Kagome screamed, breathing hard.
"Oh, nothing too big, just stole your blood and Lord Sesshomaru's blood." Naraku said.
"Why do you need our blood?" Sesshomaru. demanded.
"Well, now that you're here, Kagura, will you go see if she is done?" Naraku said.
"yes Naraku." Kagura said
Kagura went into the castle, and the women had just finished giving birth to a beautiful baby boy with crystal blue eyes. Two purple streaks on his cheeks are pure white, like Sesshomaru's. Kagura took the child and returned to Naraku's side.
"Here," Kagura said, handing the child to him.
Kagome's heart stopped. This child is calling to her.
"A baby," Kagome questioned. What does that have to do with me?" Kagome said.
"Well, Lord Sesshomaru, what does the runt smell like?" Naraku said.
Sesshomaru took a sniff of the air, his eyes going wide.
"How does that pup smell of me?" Sesshomaru said.
"Quite simple, really; I just needed your blood," Naraku said.
"That's why we were both wounded at the same time; he needed both of us." Kagome said.
"Indeed, I did Kagome to make the strongest demon alive and train him to help me." Naraku said, laughing.
"That will never happen." Naraku, we will be taking the child with us." Kagome stated boldly.
In that split second, Sesshomaru dashed for the baby, snatching him out of Naraku's hands. Grabbing Kagome, he bolted out of the land as fast as Sesshomaru could go. Barely making it out of the barrier before it slammed down.
"We need to get as far from here as possible as fast as possible." Kagome said, looking down at the baby in her arms.
"Agreed," Sesshomaru said, heading back toward where they had left the group.
Kagome finally opened up the blanket a bit to see more of the child's face.
"He looks just like you except his eyes; they are crystal blue." Kagome said.
"Indeed, he is our child. not sure how he was able to do this, but we will find out." Sesshomaru said.
"He even has your crescent moon on his forehead, but it's purple instead of blue." Kagome said.
"I think I may know someone who may be able to give us some answers. Not that I want to see this woman, but we will head that way after grabbing the rest of the group." Sesshomaru said
"Ok, how far from the group are we?" Kagome asked.
"Not to far i can smell them." Sesshomaru said.
After what seemed like an hour and a half they landed not far from the group they started running up to Kagome and Sesshomaru.
"Momma" Shippo cried out about to jump on to Kagome when he noticed something in her arms.
"who is that momma." Shippo asked point to the blanket the baby was wrapped in.
"This is what Naraku was up to." Kagome said.
Kagome pulled the blanket away from his face and they all froze.
"Hey Kagome why does that runt smell like you and Sesshomaru?" Inuyasha asked
