I'm back. I know it's been two years, but I hope you like this chapter! I'm planning on adding more chapters soon. I hope you enjoy this! I don't own Puff the magic dragon by Peter, Paul, and Mary.
The next few weeks flew by like a whirlwind of fun. Leah had a blast swimming and listening to stories around the campfire. Calypso got to know more about Matthew. She learned that Lyra was actually another child of Apollo, his sister, not his girlfriend. There wasn't a table in the dining pavilion for them, so they sat with the Apollo kids. Leah wanted to sit with the Athena kids, but Calypso wanted her to sit by her.
"What are we doing tomorrow, Callie?" Leah asked after a fun day of playing Capture the Flag.
"We're going to an aquarium tomorrow," Calypso replied.
"What's that?"
"It's a place that has a lot of fish."
"Like the ocean?"
Calypso laughed.
"No, honey. They keep the fish in tanks. Picture it as the ocean, but covered in glass and inside a building."
"Ooh!"
Leah thought about it for a moment.
"Can I swim with the fish?"
Calypso laughed again.
"No. Only the people who take care of the fish can swim in there."
There was a knock at the door. Calypso got up and answered it. It was Matthew.
"Hi, Matt," Calypso said. "What brings you here?"
"Chiron sent me," he said. "He wants you to come to the big house immediately."
Her blood ran cold.
"What for?"
"He didn't say, but I am going to watch Leah until you get back."
Calypso swallowed. What could Chiron want from her? Was it about the prophecy? She hadn't told Leah about it. Maybe it was about Athena. No one had heard any word from her since they'd arrived at camp. Not even Matthew and he was on a quest for her.
"Leah!" She called into the other room. "I'll be right back. Matt is going to watch you. Be good for him."
Leah ran out of the other room.
"Where are you going?"
"I'm going to the big house. Chiron wants to talk to me."
"Why?"
"I don't know."
"Leah!" Matthew interrupted. "Let's go play with the toy horses!"
"Okay!"
Leah ran into the play room and Matthew winked at Calypso. She smiled. Then, she went to the big house. When she got there, Chiron was sitting in his wheelchair next to the fire.
"Is this about the prophecy?" She asked, sitting in a chair next to him.
"Yes," Chiron said. "Leah's grandma wants to meet Leah."
Calypso stiffened.
"You mean, Athena?"
"Yes."
"When?"
"A week from now."
"Why?"
Chiron shrugged.
"I'm assuming she wants to meet her granddaughter."
Calypso thought about this. Why hadn't Athena said anything about meeting Leah before? Why did she suddenly want to meet her?
"She wants the both of you to come to Olympus and meet her a week from today."
Calypso gulped. Olympus. She had never been there. The Olympians had banished her to Ogygya. Would they accept her? Would they try to take Leah away from her?
"I guess I don't have a choice, right?"
"That's correct."
"How am I going to get to Olympus?"
"Matthew is going to drive you."
"Oh," she said, her heart beating faster.
She couldn't help it. She had quite a crush on Matthew. But she was still suspicious that, like all her other loves, he would leave her.
"Is he going to Olympus too?" She asked.
"No. He is going to wait downstairs. Athena only called you and Leah."
"Oh," Calypso said in a sadder tone.
"Now," Chiron said. "You should go to bed. I hear Matthew is taking you and Leah to the aquarium tomorrow."
She smiled.
"Okay."
She left the big house and went back to the cabin. She walked in and heard Matthew's voice. He was singing.
"Puff the magic dragon lived by the sea."
She didn't know the song, but she loved the melody. She went into Leah's bedroom. Leah was tucked into bed and Matthew kept singing.
"And frolicked in the autumn mist in a land called hanna lee."
Calypso stood in the doorway, watching them. Leah was almost asleep. She finally closed her eyes and Matthew got up.
"You have a beautiful voice," Calypso whispered.
"Thank you," he said, smiling.
"What song is that?"
"It's called Puff the magic dragon. My mom used to sing it to me when I was a baby."
They went into the other room so they could talk normally.
"I should be going to bed," Matthew said. "I'll see you tomorrow. Good night."
"Good night," Calypso replied.
He left and Calypso went to bed.
