(Switch to Sophie's perspective)
A bang pulled Sophie's eyes away from Keefe's. "What was that?" She asked as someone cried out. It was Linh. "Let go of me you son of a gorgodon!" She screamed as she was shoved to the ground and encased in a forcefield. Ruy was back, back from the dead! Everyone thought Ruy had died after Tam did something to his powers, but he was alive and stronger than ever before. "Linh!" Fitz called as he ran to the forcefield and started banging, Linh was unconscious. "What an idiot," Keefe whispered into Sophie's ear. "We have to do something," Sophie said to Keefe. But it was too late, Gisela, who seemed to have appeared out of nowhere, had stalked up behind Fitz and was injecting him with a violet liquid. Everyone stood and watched in horror. "Why is everyone doing nothing?" Keefe whispered to Sophie. Ruy threw what looked like a soda can into the crowd and within seconds it exploded with a flash of light, temporarily blinding everyone.
