Author's Note: Hey everyone, I just wanted to apologize for my long absence. I've been going through some stuff the last few years and haven't had the motivation to write anything. But hopefully I can get back into my groove and finish this monster of a story. I hope you enjoy.
The rangers all begin talking at the same time and we can't understand any of what they're saying.
Kate: quiet!
The rangers all stop talking at the same time.
Kate: one at a time
Kelsey: what was that all about?
Kate: what do you mean?
Greg: that monster could have destroyed us and been done with it.
Brandon: but he didn't. Why?
Kate: I'm not sure but I have a guess
Ian: okay
Kate I'm guessing that monster was sent here to test you. Now that that's been done the next attack he won't hold back.
Brandon: (holding shoulder) that was holding back? If so we won't stand a chance next time.
The others nod in agreement.
Kate: that's why your training starts immediately. You're all off tomorrow correct?
The rangers nod.
Kate: come back here tomorrow morning and I'll begin your training. Come prepared to be worked hard.
The rangers nod and teleport out of the power chamber. Kate sighs and sits down hard. Alpha approaches with a tray and a cup.
Alpha: are things really that bad?

Kate: they are definitely not who they used to be Alpha. I've got a lot of work ahead of me,
Alpha: couldn't you just…..
Kate: no!
Alpha: but Kate
Kate: I'm sorry Alpha. It's just if we do that there's no going back, we're committed. They've lived these last 26 years peacefully, I don't want to ruin that for them.
Meanwhile on Omegor's Ship:
Mantor has returned to the ship and entered the throne room kneeling.
Mantor: My lord I've returned from Earth.
Omegor: well did you learn anything?
Mantor: are we sure these are the same ones that…?
Omegor: you question me Mantor?
Mantor: my lord those five fought like children. It took minimal effort to defeat them. If that's the same people as before then something happened.
Morticai: how so?
Mantor: they only used their weapons. If it had been them wouldn't they have used their powers when I had them on the ropes?
Omegor seems to consider this for a moment.
Mantor: My lord please allow me to return to Earth and finish the job.
Omegor: no!
Mantor: But
Omegor: I said no and that's final. Your job was to test their abilities and you succeeded. We will give them a chance to train before striking once more.
Mantor: (visibly annoyed) yes my lord
The door opens and Psyclone enters the room carrying a piece of paper.
Omegor: (seeing Psyclone) you're ordered to remain on the ship Mantor.

Mantor: (angrily) yes my lord
Mantor gets up and exits the room without being dismissed. Psyclone watches him leave then approaches the throne.
Psyclone: that ones gonna be trouble
Omegor: (shaking head) what have you learned Psyclone?
Psyclone: I've discovered who the ranger's mentor is
She hands Omegor the paper she's carrying. Omegor looks at it and we see it's a picture of Kate.
Omegor: impossible
Morticai: do you know her?
Omegor: you two are to go to Earth immediately
Psyclone: of course but may I ask why father?
Omegor: (crumpling the picture in his fist) you two are to take on the identities of humans that work with the rangers. Learn anything that might be useful to our mission here.
Morticai and Psyclone bow and exit the throne room. The door opens and a robot enters carrying a tray with a steaming mug on it and hands it to Omegor.
Omegor: thank you
As Psyclone is getting ready to leave Patricor approaches her.
Patricor: you look like you're on your way out
Psyclone turns to look at Patricor.
Psyclone: I am
Patricor: may I ask where you're off to?
Psyclone tells Patricor of her and Morticai's assignment.
Patricor: good luck my love
Psyclone: (blushing) thank you I'll see you soon.

Psyclone teleports out of the ship and Patricor walks down the hall. He opens a door and we see that it's a bedroom. He goes to the bed and reaches under it pulling out a laptop like device. He pushes several buttons and the screen turns on.
Power Chamber:
Kate is sitting at a console typing away. Alpha approaches her carrying a tray with a steaming mug on it.
Alpha: your tea Kate
Kate: (taking the cup) thank you alpha
On the screen we see "incoming call" and Kate pushes a button.
Kate: what's the news?
The next Day:
The rangers arrive at the power chamber dressed for training.
Kate: alright it looks like you're ready to train
The rangers nod. They spend the entire day working on sword forms and defensive moves. Kate appears to know how to fight as well lending credence to her claims about fighting Omegor. As the sun begins to set Kate calls an end to the training session. The rangers collapse in exhaustion.
Kate: that was a good day of training. I think you'll stand a chance next time Mantor attacks. That's all for today
The rangers sigh in relief and stand up to go.
Rangers: power down
Kate: there is one more thing before you leave. Actually, three things
Brandon: (wiping sweat) what now?
Kate: there are a set of three rules all power rangers must follow while they serve. Failure to do so will result in the termination of your ranger powers.
Ny: what are the rules?
Kate: Rule 1: never use your powers for personal gain

Rule 2: never escalate a fight unless Omegor forces you to
Rule 3: Keep your identities a secret. Nobody must know you're the Power Rangers Dragon Thunder
Do you understand and agree to always follow these rules?
Rangers: I do
Kate: (nodding) alright. (to herself) Zordon would've been proud
The rangers teleport out of the Power Chamber.
That night:
The scene switches to the outside of Trucchis. The store is closed for the night and we see two employees exiting the store talking. Suddenly two monsters appear and grab the two from behind.
Man: what the?
Woman: (struggling) let me go
Psyclone and Morticai appear and approach the two.
Morticai: (examining the man) ah yes this one will do nicely
Man: what are you?
Psyclone: (examining the woman) this one will do as well
Woman: (shying back) what do you want with us?
Morticai: take them back to the ship
They all teleport away and, since they didn't cause a disturbance, Kate wasn't alerted to their presence on Earth.
?:
The scene switches to outside of what appears to be a small village. We see the robots and a monster rounding up the villagers. It appears that they have attacked and defeated the warriors as there are several dead bodies nearby. Behind some nearby trees we see five people watching this happen.
Man: we need to help them

A woman grabs his shoulder holding him back.
Woman: Barca we don't stand a chance against those things.
Man 2: then what do we do?
Woman 2: we need to go back and warn our people they could be headed our way next.
The others nod and the five of them make their way back home. Once there they enter a big hut where we see a man sitting and reading.
Man 3: chief
The man looks up and sees the worried looks on their faces
Chief: what's wrong are we being attacked?
Barca: not us the village to the north. We think they're coming this way next
Chief: then we must prepare for battle
He stands up and starts to head toward the door but one of the woman grabs his shoulder.
Chief: what are you doing Payton?
Payton: no offense chief but we don't stand a chance against these things
Chief: what are you talking about? What things?
Man 2: the best way to describe them is demons. From what we saw they'd make quick work of us and move on.
Chief: then we must pray to the gods for assistance.
The six of them kneel and pray. Suddenly they hear a disembodied voice.
Voice: Draconians, you have always served us faithfully. We have heard your prayers and have decided to entrust you with our powers. With them you can defeat this threat and his master.
The five are surrounded by different colored lights. Man two by a red light, Barca by a blue light, man 3 by a green light, woman 1 by a yellow light and Payton by a pink light.
Bedroom:
We see Kelsey sleeping in a bed. All of a sudden she sits up and looks around.

Kelsey: (sighing) oh it was just a dream. But why did it feel so real?
Kelsey lies back down and rolls over falling back to sleep. The rest of her dreams are normal, but she can't shake the feeling that there was more to it.
The next day: Power Chamber
Kelsey, wondering about her weird dream last night, heads to the power chamber to speak with Kate. When she arrives we see Kate standing at the console typing away.
Kelsey: good morning Kate
Kate: (jumping in surprise) oh Kelsey
She quickly hits several keys on the console and whatever was on the screen disappears. Kelsey wonders what that's all about but decides to log it in her memory for later.
Kelsey: hey can I talk to you about something?
Kate: (cautiously) sure what's up?
Kelsey: I uh had a really weird dream last night.
Kate: okay
Kelsey tells Kate all about the weird dream she had. As she talks Kate seems to be getting more and more worried.
Kelsey: and that's it. After that I woke up and the rest of my dreams were normal. I know its probably just because of everything you told us but…
Kate: (sighing) hold on
She pushes a button on the console but doesn't notice the words "incoming call" on the monitor
Other Rangers: go ahead Kate
Kate: rangers report to the power chamber please
Rangers: on my way
The others arrive a moment later looking confused
Ian: what's up Kate another attack?
Kate: no, it's

Suddenly the alarm starts going off and all of them cover their ears.
Alpha: observe the viewing globe rangers
They all look to see Mantor causing chaos in the city.
Mantor: (blasting a nearby bus stop) come out rangers I know you can hear me
Brandon: hold that thought Kate. Ready?
Others: ready
All: dragon thunder power up hah
They teleport out of the power chamber and Kate collapses into a chair. Alpha approaches and places a hand on her shoulder.
Alpha: what are you gonna do now Kate?
Kate: I don't know Alpha. But if this keeps happening they're gonna start asking questions I don't know how to answer.
